I have to apologize again for not posting any new material. This summer has just exploded in my face and I haven't had time to post anything new. I'm working 2 jobs at about 40-50 hours, almost 7 days per week. As you can imagine, I'm pretty exhausted most of the time, but have still been taking pictures. I will do my best to post new material soon, but no promises.

My girlfriend Taylor is in Denver from AZ visiting me as I finish up another year lost in the bowels of the University of Denver... We spent all Saturday afternoon hanging out in the beautiful weather getting more sun than out pale little frames could handle (another fabulous farmer's tan...here I come!!). I apologize for submitting so many (10) but I took several hundred photos and liked the majority of them. Consider it a miracle that I am only submitting 10...

Hope you all enjoy them and, as always, constructive feedback is not only welcome, but strongly encouraged. I love hearing critiques of my work because, hell, how am I supposed to get better if I don't know what I'm doing wrong?!

Ok, I feel like I should do a little explaining. I feel bad for always posting self portraits. It's like all I do and I feel like a narcissistic asshole. I'm about to post a few more, so I feel even worse. The thing is, I'm really not trying to make myself look better or anything, I just don't have friends.

This is not entirely true, I do have friends, I just feel weird about asking to take their pictures. I know that as a photographer you should be fearless and willing to ask random people to take their pictures in order to capture a moment. I just have a really hard time doing that. I respect to no end those of you that do such photos on a regular basis. I know I need to get better at it, but we will see. Hope you enjoy the new pictures!

"What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
There's something greater there."

- Saosin - "It's Far Better to Learn"

I visited home (sort of) in Tucson, AZ over spring break and took some really cool photos of the sunsets and scenery around there. All of the pictures I've posted today come from that trip. Oh how I miss Arizona...

Well, I'm back at DU for another quarter before summer break when I'll be going back to Tucson. Spring is finally hitting Denver and our campus is starting to come back to life. I'll be taking many photos over the next few months because, however much I hate DU, I do have to admit that the campus is beautiful.

Hope you enjoy!

"Thinking maps were made for us to follow
You showed me light was near, The brightest light is here
We tend to always cling to comfort
Now I'm your greatest fear, the brightest light is here"
-Catherine - "Light Brite"

Hey all, so I went ahead and bought the Canon 50mm 1.8. I was going to get the 1.4 but decided that it might be better to save that extra $200 so I can actually buy food in the next two weeks. It should be here around Friday so I will try my best to take a ton of pictures this weekend to try to get a feel for it. I've never used a fixed lens so this should be interesting. I'll post some of the better ones and I would love some feedback. I really want to improve my photography skills and any sort of critique or advice you can offer will really help.
