Just a quick update on where I am with things. I'm still involved working on the superhero manga graphic novel project and about 3/4 of the way finished. The work will be then sent to the colourist, never had anyone colour my black and white artwork before, so I am looking forward to see how that turns out. When I'm finished with the project I will upload some of my favourite pages.
I am also working on a drawing landscape based on a building I come across on a walk in Malvern. So far this is about 1/2 drawn. I'm working on a Worcestershire Cricket New Road photo manipulation landscape which I am using similar techniques to the Malvern Hills piece I uploaded not so long ago. This is nearly complete so expect it within a few days.

This guy would like for you to take a look at his gallery and leave any tips for him to work improvements.

Also other galleries to look out for:

This journal skin was created by =keepwalking07 & =Thewinator.

Journal Skin by =Thewinator and ~keepwalking07

I was told by one of my DA friends that if you get a message that says

"Rofl, this is relevant to your interests"

It appears as a link (DO NOT CLICK ON IT!!!!!). This takes you to a site where hackers are getting info on your account and then they hack your account sending 1000s of messages from your account that you did not originally send yourself. It can even come as a message from someone you know well on DA, please DO NOT CLICK on the link. If you do get this message report as spam and delete from your message center.

I only got one of these messages yesterday, and I can't remember if I clicked on the link or not I have to be careful now. Please BEWARE and spread the message around.

UPDATE
I was also told by someone that if you get this message:
"Hey. Same as the above really.

NEW UPDATE -

IF A PERSON CALLED SIMON ASHTON ( SIMON25@HOTMAIL.CO.UK ) CONTACTS YOU THROUGH EMAIL DON'T OPEN THE MESSAGE. HE WILL FIGURE OUT YOUR COMPUTER ADDRESS, SO COPY AND PASTE THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE EVEN IF YOU DONT CARE FOR THEM AND FAST BECAUSE IF HE HACKS THEIR EMAIL HE HACKS YOUR MAIL TOO!!!!!...

Anyone using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled “Mail Server Report”.

If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: “It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.”

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC,
And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it.

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself “life owner”...

PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS. So again thanks for all your support and I will keep supporting you.

Can you help?
Over the past week I've been working with someone on a review video on youtube. I've been designing a logo and producing other artwork for this video. This is where you can help with the review. The review is based on Tom and Jerry The Movie and the review needs e-mails on people's thoughts about the movie. It doesn't have to be good, it could be a bad point, as long it's your honest opinion. I am told the comments posted to him will be said out on the review. So if you can help please comment me what your thoughts are on the Tom and Jerry movie and I'll pass them on. Again it doesn't matter if your thoughts and comments are positive or negative. Once again thanks for the support.

You may remember me telling you about that I had an interview coming up. I had it yesterday. That was the worst day I had in ages. The interviewer looked at my port folio and said it was poor and had a laugh at my graphic novel work. Bastard, I couldn't do that to anyone. I said to him my first ever graphic novel I produced at college was the best my Graphics lecturer had seen in many years. He started to grin and started to laugh and said to me "Is your lecturer blind?" That was hurtful. Stuck up twat, I'm only a student and only been drawing for two years now what does he expect the best fucking illustrator known to the world. I'm sorry for the language I use but when he said that about my work he might aswell stuck a knife through my heart. He was also on the phone for five minutes during the interview and was twenty minutes late starting the interview. I find it difficult over the past few hours to do work and not think about what he said. It puts me off from drawing. I don't care about that uni no more, he can shove it up his ass.

On the brightside:
I have three gauranteed placements at three different unis. At least some of us respect other's work and the level their at.

I am starting to get over it and get back to my work. I'm not letting him get to me anymore.

It also gives me experience in getting a bad crit on my work.

This was my easiest interview yet, similar to my first but all my worked was talked about. Nothing bad was said and we talked about influences, illustrations and illustrators. I felt as if I knew the interviewer for a long time. It was a relaxful chat that lasted half an hour. The only thing was about ten minutes into the interview there was a fire drill. Not even the interviewers knew about it. It was annoying because I was enjoying the chat. I was outside in the cold for TWENTY MINUTES. I think I have a small cold coming. All in all it went fantstically. It's my work that got me through but mainly it's the great support of the friends on DA that gave me the confidence to go in the interviews and get my places. So I THANK YOU ALL, EVERYONE OF YOU, I'M TRULY GRATEFUL. My next interviews will be at the end of March, so I have a bit of time to do my college work and my own drawing. AGAIN THANK YOU.

The interview went fantastically well, I didn't why I was nervous, it must have been the wait before they call you in. There was two lecturers interviewing me and we talked about why I want to join the course, what influences me, what influences them and we had friendly chat. It didn't feel much like an interview, I was relaxed and it lasted between 30 - 40 mins. Out of six of us I was two port folios of work so that gave me more confidence. Both like my graphic novel work and my tonal work best.
At the end they told me I was the kind of student they was looking for, enthusiastic and dedicated.

About an hour ago I WAS OFFERED A PLACE. So that's one in the bag, HOORAY! The next interview is next wednesday and I'm confident.

During the last few months I have been doing a lot of college work and in my spare time I have been working on my 40 page graphic novel. I spent most of doing the drawings and inking them up rather than colour. I have done enpugh drawings for the next 10 pages and recently finished colouring 3 of the first pages. The first two are the only ones lettered. So every three pages I get coloured I will upload. I shall also be uploading the black and white versions of the finished colour pieces.
