Short Circuit the game

Oh yes, they made a game. And actuallyÂthereÂs a 3rd (short) film which I canÂt find for the life of me. Apparently it was called ÂHot Cars, Cold FactsÂ (maybe you can point out some links if you know where to find/see it ).

Back onto the game! It is a rather amusing little thing that doesnÂt really follow the plot of the film, but itÂs quirky and nice. IÂm actually really surprised that they managed to get a 3D effect going on during the first half of the game considering that it was made in the 80Âs for an Amstrad computer. It kind of reminds me of the old H2G2 game in a way; itÂs likely that youÂll get de-activated seven thousand times before passing the first section, which IÂm still on. In H2G2 youÂd die about 10 times before you even left ArthurÂs room XD.

Anyway IÂm feeling a tiny bit nostalgic (even though this stuff was out before I was born) as you can tell and I just thought IÂd share that with you.
IÂll say more if youÂre interested .

So anyone love old computers either for their simplicity *cough less-user-friendly-interface cough* or the lovable retro and clumpy design?

A journal update because the length of that last one was really annoying me.

I realise IÂve not uploaded any DW fanart in quite some time. IÂve not drawn much fanart, if any for quite a while now. And as youÂve noticed my current interests have been somewhat different. I do have a few Doctor Who arts though that I might submit tomorrow, of not then maybe soonish instead.

Maybe you remember, or maybe you donÂt, a mention of a comic/fanfic called ÂfreezeÂ or something along those lines. Well IÂve decided IÂll upload the art for that, but I donÂt know if IÂll bother with the text that was supposed to go with it. For a start I can hardly remember what the story idea was about. But if people really want to know then maybe IÂll find out what it was and add that in.

IÂve just watched Short Circuit again. Seriously, what is the most number of times youÂve re-watched a film? This film takes the entire pack of biscuits for me.
IÂve been watching it since I was 4, and I probably watch it about 3-5 times a year, sometimes (and probably) more.

Also, I was wondering if anyone would find a little Race/Planet reference sheet useful? (Something similar to a character reference sheet where you fill in information about a character you have. Only itÂs for an entire race or planet instead) I created one ages ago because I couldnÂt find any good ones online at the time.

Does anyone know good writing communities on LJ? Or if youÂre on there to write then IÂd like to know.

Inspiration, where is my?

Yesterday my tablet died on me >.<

Recently IÂve found myself drawing things from other fandoms (shockhorror!) and oh it is a cheesy fandom, so youÂll have to expect a little less DW art from now on. Maybe my inspiration for it will reappear when it comes back on the TVÂ
Mind you I havenÂt been uploading so much stuff anymore or even replying/commenting on things. Sorry for that. IÂll try and comment/reply more often.

Now that IÂm getting used to the GIMP I might make a sketchdump of some fanart pics IÂve scrapped and ones IÂm working on, and stick it up here if anyone is interested.

One last thing. Anyone want to challenge me by requesting some digital drawings/sketches of whatever you like (as long as itÂs not rude)? For the fun of it IÂll try and draw said picture within an hour using the GIMP Â once I get a new tablet. Note, this is merely for amusement and practice so most of them will probably end up in the scraps.

This thing hasnÂt been updated in so long I think itÂs starting to grow mouldÂ and all that time has passed and nothing too interesting has happened.

With this new journal IÂll try to upload a new picture soon. Which reminds me that I illustrated the beginning of my Âfanfic which has no nameÂ which some of you may be aware of (although if anyone can remember such mentionings of this kudos to you because itÂs been months since IÂve actually been properly replying to things on this site.) Anyways this Âfic that has no nameÂ IÂll start referring to as ÂFreezeÂ from now on unless I can come up with a better, more original title. ItÂs the same story that ÂLast ResortÂ came from so if youÂre looking for Daleks then you might be disappointed because I havenÂt got that far yet and thereÂs no guarantee IÂll ever get there at this pace .

I feel like rambling.

ThereÂs no point in ranting about the finale for Doctor Who, or rather, the rumours because some of you may not have seen them yet, and just donÂt want to know. You lucky people!

SooooooooÂI shall amuse you all by ranting about socks. I seem to have this idiotic aspiration of trying to change the adverts on some sites just by talking about things and well, encouraging certain types to come up. It would be rather funny to see something about laundry on my page (I seriously doubt this will happen though). And yes. I am insane.

Anyway, IÂve always wondered why it is you lose socks so easily. I mean they are meant to be a pair after all. It shouldnÂt matter too much where you take them off; they should be in the same area (unless you have uber-long legs and your feet stand miles apart. Or youÂve been doing something naughty Â like throwing them at your sister or brother.)

Maybe your socks are either positively, or negatively charged. They just canÂt stand each other and so one must hide from you in order to get away.

Either that or the washing machine is trying to rebel against you by utterly destroying one of your socks with a highly concentrated lump of washing up powder and thus disintegrating it with its magical powers of soapliness. Yes, I made that word up, but do I look as if I care? Ok, so you canÂt see me. Well just imagine that I donÂt care.

Why should it do this? ItÂs because it wants your legs.

It needs your legs.

It needs your legs so it can wear an odd pair of socks (one so much longer than the other and the colours completely opposite) and run out of your utility room, crush you with its large bulk so you canÂt flee (this should be easy for it since you no longer have your legs by this point) and then drown you with gallons of hot water and soap (even if it is not plumbed in by this point).

The washing machine is evil. Do not trust it.

Yeah yeah, silly title, I know. Who cares anyway?

LetÂs get to the point. My point is this: From now on IÂm going to be much more picky about what IÂm going to upload.
The reason being that IÂm not fond of my gallery at the moment. Most of it is silly little doodles that I decided to draw specifically for dA, or on a mad whim. Hardly any time was taken on them, except maybe these pieces: LetÂs Dance, Vanity, Reminiscing, and maybe a few others. Those ones I spent a few hours on, and to be honest, it probably wasnÂt long enough .

IÂm also letting you know that over time I might delete things. Some of you might have noticed IÂve already done that to a few pictures and moved some to the scraps.

Changing the subject slightly, IÂll let you in on some things I am working on at the moment.

Dalekz Â a comic like thingamabob. Front page is almost complete so I might upload it soon-ish. Might try adding more colours to it with these pens I recently bought first. This is just a bit of madness (there is no plot!), but IÂm trying to find a fast and effective way of giving it colour to give it a bit of: oh shiny! IÂm doubting thatÂs what anyone will think of it though.

10th Doctor Pencil Drawing - Does what it says on the tin. It took me one and a half hours to get the lines on his head right Â and I still think his nose looks too big! IÂve scanned in the sketch, but I wonÂt upload that unless IÂm happy with the finished result.

Burning at the centre of time - A picture I started last night. In MSpaint! ItÂs proportions wonÂt be very correct but I think IÂll try to jazz it up with weird shading. Slightly inspired by a picture I saw yesterday *will add the link when she finds it*.

Is it just me or does scanning things in highlight all of your proportional mistakes? Maybe IÂm drawing my pictures at odd angles.

Chibi Daleks...An invasion possibly

A random update merely coz I'm bored.

Lately I have started drawing my chibi Daleks again and ideas are starting to pop up! Yup, I might do a couple of chibi Dalek pictures/cartoons.

Although I'm in a bit of a dilemma as to how I should draw them - on computer using free vector software (oh yes, that'll be fun...and slow), or draw and colour them entirely on paper. Well there's plus sides and downsides to both methods - I guess I'll just have to do a bit of both .

Dalek Skeletons

I have been wondering recently if Daleks had skeletons. And to tell you the honest truth they probably don't despite having been 'evolved'/genetically engineered from humanoid type creatures (even still that doesn't mean they had bones either! ).
I'm surprised that I haven't seen that many Dalek mutant pictures around either. But then, maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Either way IÂm not too fussed, because it won't stop me from speculating or drawing a possible structure. It's just unfortunate I have no flipping clue how skeletons work. I only have a Standard Grade in biology after all, even if it had been a good grade I've forgotten practically everything on the subject!

Especially the bits about flowers... O.o

Anyway, I'm thinking of experimenting around with bone structures to see if I can come up with anything decent or plausible. Knowing me, I'll probably screw it all up and never get anything posted. Especially since access to a scanner is going to be limited for some time while IÂm at university, or until I can get my own one.

I had never heard of a 'chibi' until I joined this site! Aww...there so cute!
So I drew a chibi Dalek, which I shall add as soon as I can get my fingers on the scanner...

It has no background at the moment, but maybe I'll add one later. I'm bad for not adding backgrounds! Hehe...

Hi! Tis' my first entry! Obviously!

After a big fight with the website (in which a lot of swearwords were launched at my monitor) - or my computer, dunno which - I have finally managed to add my avatar! And I'm usually good with computers. Note: usually. There's sometimes the odd mishap where a large projectile launches itself at the screen. It does it on it's own accord I tell you!!!

Anyways, going off the track (that was going nowhere anyway!)...
