highlights of the past 2 months include....

joining the pirate society (basically you get drunk on rum while going ARRRR! Alot and hit the floor when some one yells "SHARK ATTACK!")

being awoken by a fire alarm at 5:20am because some one in our row of flats burnt some toast. About 90 people live in a row and for 10 minutes, while we stood out in the cold in just our pj's, 89 of us had a collective hatred towards one single person... we know where they live

having a dog get into the university, we found him running around the animation corridor and after chasing after him i managed to half pick him up just as the reception blokes came along... it was one of those "this is exactly what it looks like" moments lol

being introduced to wonder bras (omgthankyoubry)

many many disney talks

me walking into the kitchen to find the room full of smoke and my flat mate madly fanning the smoke alarm which didnt go off...

Toga night at the SU bar

Having the pirate society all shout THIS IS SPARTA! WOO! WOO! WOO! over and over again as we left the flats for a night out.... we have it on film too xD

My friend converted their flats utilities cupboard into a sex cupboard, on a pirate night 6 of us were crammed in there having drunken chats after alot of morgans rum (40% alchyhol )

starbucks... its putting us through uni... so are kitkat chunkies....

seeing up oh how we welled up...

seeing some one stab a hill, in the dead of night, with a big stalk that once had aload of brussel sprouts growing from it while shouting "take that mother land wales!" didnt know whether to laugh or be a tiny bit insulted... haha

My.... admirer....

Last friday me and a friend went to see coldplay live at Wembley arena and it was an amazing gig White lies opened, followed by Girls Aloud followed by Jay Z and after an hour break Coldplay came to the stage . When they sang yellow giant round yellow balloons filled with confetti were released onto the crowed i saw two people walk home with them halfway through the gig they left the stage to the sound of im singing in the rain. Everyone assumed it was because they were taking a break when all of a sudden the lights shone onto a smaller stage near the back of the arena and they came on stage to sing with simon pegg on the harmonica! XD
During the final song Lovers In Japan thousands of tissue paper butterflies were fired over the crowd the way they moved through the air made them look real it was amazing

The gig was amazing but getting home was a nightmare -.- they finished the encore at 11pm and as soon as they played the last note we ran from our seats to catch the tube but were met by 70 thousand people trying to get home at the same time >.< we had half an hour to catch the last train at this point. We managed to run and weave through the crowd until we couldnt anymore because there was so many of us. There were even police men on horses to keep things under control. As we got nearer to the station the whole crowd started to belt out the ooooo-oooooh oh, ooooo-ooooh oh part from viva la vida it was one of the most amazing things i've ever heard Another amazing moment was when we walk up a small set of steps and i find a perfect paper butterfly on the floor XD i snatched it up quick and shall treasure it .
We get through to the ticket barriers and things become hectic >.< the ticket people were yelling that if you had a ticket just go through the gate and if you had an oyster card to tap the pad. Tracks that shouldnt have been gated off were and then the workers were unsure what was going on, the tube people were no where near prepared... We get to the train to take us to the baker loo line and it leaves half full for some reason, then another train comes which everyone crams themselves into. By this time the underground is boiling and we're panting while my face is as bright as a tomato. We get to the station to wait for the tube to take us to Victoria where we have 19 minutes to get the last train and then we find out the tube will take ten minutes to get here. When it finally arrives we cant get on because no one will budge up so yet another tube leaves half full. The next train arrives a few moments later and we all crowd on. Wifey kindly steers me away from where some one has been ill before i see it and start having a panic attack as i have a massive vomit fear.... So, we're packed onto the tube like battery chickens, its boiling hot, theres a puddle of sick some where behind me and then the train stops in the middle of the underground for 10-20 minutes. I already want of the tube and after a while i'm about ready to burst into tears -.- wifey thinks im having a small panic attack which i was close to doing >.<....
Anyway, by the time we get to Victoria we've missed the last train home and have to get a train to swanley which i didnt realise existed til then lol. We get the train there, and wifeys dad kindly picks us up I got home at about 2am, i lost track of how long the car ride home was...

So thus the night that we went to see Coldplay live at Wembley will forever be known as tube-a-gedon xD lol. Have to say tho.... it was worth the shit we put up with getting home .

cant wait, i've been wanting to see this tour for more than a year so should be great the only thing is Girls Aloud is warming up the crowd, in the words of my cousin "aw poor them, they're like the sad clown that goes on before the magician xD" but me and wifey have plans to use their stage time as the moment to go get a hotdog, t-shirts and use the bathroom

also the concert just so happens to be the night before i move into the halls of residence at my uni...hehe woops

yesterday i woke up with a sore ear and a stiff jaw and after going to the DR today i've been told i have an ear infection just what i wanted for my birthday.... this means my plans of clubbing have been scuppered somewhat so instead I'm going to Canterbury for shopping and Wagamamma noodles

also after becoming obsessed with the TV show I bought the Dexter book its really good, i recommend it, its not for the faint of heart tho hehe

The trip up there was a real treat... we packed 5 huge bags, three body boards, two laptop cases, loads of food and drink and bag with 4 wetsuits in the back. My dad checked the car, filled it with oil and petrol and we set off. Me and my sis were snoozing in the backseats when we reach Maidstone (40 miles from home) and hear my mum say "Girls we're gonna have to go back" i thought she was joking, then she tells us that the car is actually SMOKING. So we go home, take alllll the stuff out and put it into my dads car like some tortuous game of tetris. And we FINALLY set off an hour and a half later... Then we reach the traffic jam of HELL. The motorway we needed was closed off and everyone was trying to get onto another one. We were sat there for 2 hours with my sister calling the drivers that were pushing into the que dirty words A particularily amusing one was when she went "WANKAkakakaka.... " at a driver and then realised they were driving a huge truck we get to the holiday park eight hours later and have dinner while watching sheep running around in the neighboring fields

The first day was hilarious, we went to Tintagel which is where Tintagel Castle (legendary birthplace of King Arthur) is . We go to the pastie shop there cos the pasties you get there are godly and go back to the car. They're too huge for me and my sis to finish and end up taking some of the insides out and leaving the bin bag in the front of the car to throw out later. We go shop for a bit and come back to the car to find it smelling like some one had cooked a pastie in it. It stayed that way for the rest of the holiday

We went body surfing at Trebarwith Strand and it was FREEZING! And due to me forgetting to put on some sun lotion i got sun burnt on my face and arms, luckily i was wearing a wet suit -.- crappy pale red head skin... lol. A comic moment was when i was floating in the sea and managed to drift just out of the safe area to swim in, i didnt notice i had gone outside the flags and tried to swim back to the safe area but was getting no where, my dad came to get me and starting making me laugh by comically throwing the body board cord that you use to strap to your wrist at me as if it was a life preserver. I had to tell him to knock it off before i drowned from laughing so hard. When he started pulling me back it sorta went like this
me: hang on dad... o_O are you standing up?!?!
dad: yeah.... thats how i got you...
me: *stands up and is fine* AH...
the sea level was misleading i tells ya!

Other than site seeing and cream tea's I pretty much played the sims3 which is AMAZING and you should go get it now!!!!!

THE COLLAGES! everytime we did something they made us do a collage o_O "draw this... then make a collage!" "make this, then make it into a collage!" "make a collage, then draw the collage and cut it up and make a collage with it!"

We spent the whole of yesterday putting stuff up in our spaces for our exhibition and since i had two hours sleep the night before i was slowly wilting physically all through the day, when i got home at 6-7 i made a bee line for my bed, i got to sleep at 7 and the next thing i knew it was 4am o_O

First off, my lil hammy omally died last week he was my wee man and my room mate and i'll miss him and his big ears :'( my parents let me get him to help me get over losing our dog a few years ago, it was love the moment i saw the colour of his fur and i'll always remember his escape antics, from the time we found him hording food under the bookcase to the time it took me a whole hour to coax him out from under the fridge with a digestive biscuit wont be getting a new hammy, omally was one of a kind

Today i spent 8 hours in the car going to and from Folkestone to Newport in South Wales for my uni interview and it went splendedly i brought a huge portfolio and two bags of books with me to the interview and was a bit when i saw everyone else with only one small portfolio... i just looked around and thought "yep. You aaaaaaaaaaaaaall hate me ¬_¬" one of the tutors interviewing me was so amazed at the amount of stuff i brought with me that she whipped out her phone and took a photo it must've been one of those "the boys will NEVER believe this!" moments the interview seemed to go well, they were impressed with my work load and what i had to say and i expect to get a responce within the next two weeks so fingers crossed!
Newport is such an amazing uni, its apparently number one in wales and 12th in england they also have an oscar winning animator and people from aardman studios to come and lecture which is flipping brilliant! lol. Also i found that the atmosphere is so calm and welcoming and it turns out that i can stay there for all three years not just the first year which is a weight off my mind now if only i could work a washing machine... haha

we had a sit down meal at my uncles and had a quiet newyear, then at 1am we went home, as soon as i got out the door realisation hit me and i went "oh god! im gonna be 20 this year! " to which everyone laughed ¬_¬ lol



2008 was a great year for me, and i hope it was a great year for all of you lets try and make 2009 even better

went to disneyland (is always good )
successfully got through the first year of national diploma
went to my first anime convention, im officially a manga nerd!!!
got my wacom tablet and i have to say my art has improved significantly since
got facebook married to haha
actually went clubbing for the first time
met lots n lots of amazingly amazing people
saw Lee Evans live at the O2 Arena in London
Visited London many many times and finally fell in love with the place lol
visited Amsterdam and got a horrific cold that lasted 4 weeks... and have vowed to return there <3

I HATE VISCOM! and if i have to stay that class room any longer i will surely beat myself over the head with the nearest drawing board!!! ;___; i swear that room is sucking out my very SOUL

soooooo whatdoesvikkidonow? well...

Last night i had insomnia (what else is new) and had an epithamy, im not so much an illustrator but an animator. When i was 14 i was dead set on being one and thinking back... i have no idea what changed my mind! so, after talking it over with various friends, my mum, my sis and my wifey (), they've convinced me to switch over to the wonder that is LEEEEENSSSS BAAAAASED! and to never look back XD

I loved the lens based carasel and hated the viscom one, but seeing as i was so dead set on being an illustrator i went with viscom anyway because i thought "this is just a week of it, SURELY it'll be better when i get to the real deal!" luckily lens based was my second choice

SO tomorrow morning im going to go in and get on my hands and knee's and grovel to the lens based tutor, then im going back to viscom to hopefully get my stuff and inform my teacher that im jumping ship and shall not be returning (sad violin music)

at least i figured this out now instead of half way through the course

im also STILL slowly getting through my requests, feel free to say i suck promise i'll have them done soon its just college work pretty much kills every moment of my free time

ALSO, im now sporting auburn and cherry purple locks THATS RIGHT! XD

However.

I was supposed to be having my favourate teacher mark me but i was there early and the teacher that messed me around on my animal project had to instead
And, in the process of marking me, she blatently told me that illustration wasnt one of my talents ¬_¬ she did however say that printmaking was which left me thinking "hmmm right... SO WHAT PART OF PRINT MAKING ISNT ILLUSTRATION?!?!?!" she also told me that if i was considering animation then lens based is the place to go... despite the fact that the viscom teacher said animation could be in visual communication ¬_¬. This is the second time she's told me im not an illustrator and the funny part is... SHES A 3D TEACHER.

After assessment i dropped my portfolio off to a friend and marched off through town during a heavy down pour to get bleach manga's and pocky which DID cheer me up not so much when i had to power walk by a loooooong deep puddle before a car hit it and i got even more soaked, but it was invigorating none the less

i also got to steal a shed load of A1 paper for a friend on degree course cos they have to pay for it while we get it free. As soon as i mentioned that the foundation students (me included) weren't gonna be in this week they all hatched plans to steal free supplies from our rooms aaah the life of a student it was like i told them the coming of the new messiah

profile pic for NEED TO DO ]]> *mechilah http://mechilah.deviantart.com/journal/21165120/ http://mechilah.deviantart.com/journal/21165120/ Sun, 26 Oct 2008 03:10:28 PDT i bought lots and lots of pocky O_O.... i also got a t-shirt saying "pocky-gasm" hehehehe i also got one of tokyotoys mascot, cocoa the monkey, cosplaying as Ichigo from bleach and i managed to get a bargan! i found a larger bleach bag than the one i have now and they had taken 7 quid off the price as it was damaged, it was only a lil rip on the outer cover on the bottom of the bag so i thought it was worth it also got badges, phone charms and hitsugaya and byakuya plushies. They are currently located on my bedroom shelf

On the way to the convention we came across some cosplaying 10-12 yearolds dressed as Naruto characters. Halfway through the tube journey they noticed my bleach bag and there was pointing lol also, because the tube line we needed was out of service we had to get off at a different stop, there were crowds of people heading towards the expo centre, all looking very lost. Out of nowhere i hear a cosplayer go "SHE HAS A BLEACH BAG! FOLLOW HER!!" i smiled and then was slightly unnerved cos i didnt even know where the hell we were

The convention itself was a bit less colourful than the one in May, not alot of cosplayers around :/ and also there was a distinct lack of stalls, Tokyotoys had two stalls this time just to fill in the gaps. Me thinks i'll only go to the one in May in future
One of the stalls made me laugh, there was a hentai stall and a yaoi stall right next to it, the hentai stall was surrounded by teenage boys ¬_¬ how about that... the yaoi stall on the other hand was selling paddles with YURI and YAOI painted onto them, i kept seeing people wonder about with them haha. On the other side of the convention hall i told a friend about these stalls and she went "HENTAI?!" to which a guy walking by responded in a posh voice "the hentai stall? its just over there!" i cracked up haha.
Me and a friend were hugged by a teenager dressed as Urahara Kisuke from bleach haha. We turned around he was right next to us, arms open wide and asking for hugs, my friend hugged him straight away cos she loves him, then i hugged him, then we all had a group hug and then he posed for a picture for us

on the way home we stopped off at yo!sushi for dinner and it was yummy unfortunantly, in my tired and cold induced state i was getting rather clumsy and upon reaching over to grab something off the belt, the sushi pot managed to slip from my fingers and the lid fell into the sink on the other side of the belt. i was sat in horror while my friends were killing themselves laughing lol. luckily i didnt spill the sushi tho

as an added bonus to the day, when we reached Folkestone central station, something made me look over my shoulder and i saw a teddy bear sat on the floor next to a nearby bench. I was confused at first then realised it was a piece of Tracey Emins art shes placed pieces of bronzed and painted baby clothes and items around Folkestone to represent our having the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the UK. i now have the urge to find them all

Me and are back from Amsterdam! It was way more fun than i thought it would be i thought i'd be home sick the whole time and generally stressed out because of the amount of people taking avantage of the weed cafe's but all was well
I stayed in most nights but on the last night i felt so crappy because of a cold i caught on the trip and had so many euros to spend that i thought "dammit, im going for some vodka" and went down to the hostel bar for some mixed with coke haha. We had been going on and on about Vlad from Serai and I ended up craving vodka this is from some one who never drinks lol it was great, the four of us got extremely hyper and took about 80 photos in the space of 2 hours and made a notebook on random things we were saying, i may make some photo manipulations with them hehe.
But yes, the trip was brilliant, i never knew how beautiful Amsterdam is its full of beautiful architecture, bicycles and canals. My god are there bicycles everyone uses one! They're everywhere! And they dont take prisoners! When we arrived at the hostel i took one step across the street and almost got cut in half by a guy on a bike lol. The only crap part of the trip was my way too heavy bag O_O i thought i was gonna be physically sick when we hit the half way point it was a nightmare. Then parano told me to drag it across the floor which worked lol i then asked her why she didnt tell me that a few streets back to which she replied "why didnt YOU think of that " touche... lol We also slept with the window open on the 2nd night and we were eaten alive by mosquitos i had 6 bites on my left arm alone... ironic as it was me that said "dont worry! its autumn! THEY WONT BE OUT!"
Overall i found the place extremely artistic and quite safe as long as you didnt wonder into the red light district lol at night loads of people were out and about and were very friendly when it came to asking where to go some where, they even asked if we found what we were looking for when we passed them on the way back which was nice
The hostel itself wasnt as bad as i thought it would be although the toilet had a weird shelf in it and the walls everywhere were paper thin there were noisy bastards walking by the rooms all the time and people knocking on random doors ¬_¬ we even had people rolling stuff across the floor above and it sounded like some one was drilling holes in the ceiling some nights lol. And some of the people on our floor decided to smoke weed so the place stunk ¬_¬. In the end me and Parano got so peeved with our neighbors that one time we decided to go down the corridor going LALALA!AAAAAH!LALALALAAGKRSFKLSJFLAHHHHH!!11! GDALSGJSDOJ!!1!!one!!!" it felt GOOD

was a good trip, one of us wrote a 5 page itinery for the whole trip so that we knew when and where we were meeting and what trains and tubes we were taking. our group took the train to london and went onto yo!sushi to wait for the others... who were late :/ the itinery went right out the window after that haha. we ate and paid and got to the tubes all holding onto one another but we never envisioned the tubes being as packed as the ones in Japan O_O we left 2 people behind by accident...
we all met up again at the o2 and made our way to the arena only to find our seats waaaay up near the top i was sat there freaking out cos the seats seemed to at an angle and looked as if u could slide down them to over the edge i seemed to be the only person who had vertigo for the entire 2 hour show

mr evans was hilarious!! you really have to see him perform as its the way that he does it, but a few of his jokes were:
"birds come from dinosaurs which i dont get! ARRRHHHRAWWWRHHHHarrhhggtweeettweeet"
"couch adverts! surely everyone must hav a couch by now!"
"when you get married or move in with your girlfriend, you put your clothes and her clothes in the wardrobe... suddenly, her clothes are bullying your clothes! you look in there one day and all of her clothes have pushed all yours to the side!"
"they have places like Las Vegas all lit up every day but they think that if I turn that little red standby button on my tv OFF, then i can save the planet!!!"

there were so many more hilarious bits but i cant remember them all haha

after the show we had to skip the song he does at the end as we had a short time to get our train, we started to power walk to the tube station and began running but then were "AAAH! WE CANT RUN IN THE UNDERGROUND!!!!! " theres a bit of satire for ya's...

we grabbed a few drinks and i had a questionable tea as it was an odd shade of pearlescent BEIGE then i stirred around and found that it was in fact the tea bag that was the odd thing at the bottom ¬_¬ it was fiiine after that haha

on the way to the station we passed by a middle aged drunk bloke being helped out by an equally middle aged man and a woman it was "...oh deeear " and then we caught our train and had an easy ride back then we got to the station and made our way hooome

when my big sis did her jewelry degree, she had a steel ruler floating around in her purse along with some sand paper

and when we had our Dungeness project one of my mates carried around a dead dried out dogfish that we found on the beach around with her although she did stick it on the car belonging to a lad in our class quite funny seeing as it was under the window wiper and he didnt realise it was there til he was halfway home hehehehe

so i was wondering, anyone else carried something around with them that was ever so slightly odd or random? i wanna know!

And, i'm seeing Lee Evans perform live in 2 days boo. yeah.

I ended up giving myself whiplash after i fell over cos its hard to bounce when there are three hyper kids skidding and bouncing all over the place i also had to lay down after a while cos im unfit and everything was going hazy lol all i could do was seat drop after seat drop while these lil kids were doing back and front flips *sulk* this morning i woke up and my muscles paid me back for the fun i had lol to make it worse i had 2 hours of karate to do which was fun and went better than i thought it would since it was my first lesson i was a bit cos you have to shout after certain moves. so while everyone was "OOOS! KAAAAI! AYAAH!" i was ...oos... haha
i came out feeling so refreshed and then me and a friend went to get a mc donalds which sorta undid all the healthy work we did just 30 minutes before hand haha

anyways... im slowly getting through my to do list and i apologise im finally getting round to 's pic which should be hilarious when i finish

GAH! im bloody sick AGAIN!!! i only got rid of a nasty cold a week ago O_o stupid shoddy immune system i have no idea what the hell it is, i thought it could be food poisoning but it went and came back and now i have an annoying bugger of a sore throat and i look like death warmed up *whine* looks like im missing another day of college and karate *goes to mope in a feeble ball in the corner of the room*

yesterday we had to exhibit our final pieces for a project we just finished which was based on animals. i made a piece dedicated to taking things from animals such as their fur, their meat, their lives because of hunting and animal testing and such. i decided on a corset with a pair of "stolen" bird wings and writing on the front to explain the piece. i worked until 4am and got up at 7am only to get into college and have the teacher tell me "its too gorey, how about u turn it inside out and reattach the wings on the other side" i was sat like as it wouldve gotten rid of the message i was trying to convey ¬_¬ THEN she tells me that maybe the wings would be alright on their own cos they were well made, which pissed me off as me and my mum made the entire corset from scratch and had hurried it over two days as the material arrived late.
i dont get how the thing was too gorey, no one else thought it was, everyone said that it was a powerful message...

so, i ripped off the wings and then my friends told me to go see another teacher, i did and he said it was fine but to adjust the writing, which i did. i was sat for 2-3 hours sewing the writing and wings on while trying to not throw the whole bloody thing against the wall from frustration. i was constantly on the brink of tears from fatigue and stress and a friend had to bring me a cup of tea to try and calm me down as i was near complete melt down O_O

in the end i DID get it done but now i just hate the whole friggin thing -.- i feel almost embarressed by it. the only good part of yesterday was when a girl in my class who was helping me put the thing on a dress dummy asked if it was about taking things from animals. i almost shed a tear of joy lol

when i DID get it on display the teacher who told me to change it didnt look very impressed...

so yes. NEVER TRUST ART TEACHERS

btw the inspiration for the corset was based on [link] who i asked if i could use her for artists research (which she allowed). AND the teachers know that she was the main inspiration for my final piece so they know it wasnt all my idea. i made sure she got the credit she deserved

seeing as it was my birthday a few weeks ago my friends decided to take me out clubbing for the first time its not usually my thing as im really quite shy but i thought i'd give it a go lol i planned to go on the day after my birthday but i had an unfortunate accident with a pencil and my foot... yeah... so we went last night and

we were sat in wetherspoons (pub) for an hour or more talking about random things while the others drank and i remained sober (as always) we got there at 9 and decided to leave at 11 where we had to walk aaaaaall the way down to the club which was located through a town centre and down a cliff with a load of slippery stairs there were four of us all stumbling in the dark with the sound of crickets and with only our phones as a source of light BUT! we managed to get down safe and sound! we line up, get to the door, i get asked loads more questions about my passport than the others cos im nervous and we get in as soon as we do i lose EVERYONE and am stood there in the entrance to the disco flashing base booming club like a rabbit in the headlights. i ended up having to text my friend and find him outside i head to the loo with another friend and while waiting for her i get hit on by a drunk lad my age who actually goes into the ladies loo's to lean on me and go "heeeeelloooo having a good time? so do u live in folkestone?" while i'm literally smiling and backing away slowly into the wall my friend comes back, see's the lad and drags me off while i spit out a "sorrygottagofriendsbackcya" at him. the four of us then kiss our 1 metre of personal space goodbye and go back to the dance floor where my friend tells the others what happened to which i get a "WOOO! GET IN THERE VIKKI!" ¬_¬ we dance and dance and then i get my bum squeezed by a passing guy who i give a slap on the arm two of the others leave early and me and my mate end up dancing and being continuously hugged by my very drunk cousin who keeps popping up around the place then, to top off the night we go sit outside to wait for my parents to pick me up when i see something move down the street which at first looked like a cat but in actuality was... a FOX!!! which is not something u usually see down by the sea front my mates responce was "aaah vikki it mustve heard about ur bankai" [link] i leave my friend at 1 with a hug, get driven home, have a cup of tea and wake up the next day at 11am feeling like death because the ONE drink i did have was full of strong artificial apple flavouring haha

was a pretty good night appart from the squeezing and the being hit on by random drunk lads. i may just do it again

but at the mo im extremely tired as i didnt get to bed til half 1 and couldnt sleep for 3 hours due to heavy rain and thunder (although indoors it was sweltering hot ¬_¬ THATS the Great British summer for ya) i was also awakened by a friend wishing me a happy bday after they got in from a night out apparently there was a foam party or summat and they got soaked and extremely merry
