i am back! currently i'm having "summer" vacations. i say "summer" vacation because it's from may to july, which isn't exactly the whole span of summer, isn't it? well, i won't know since it's bloody summer all year round over here. anyway. my vacations are ending! :O

i'd have to say it was a pretty fruitful year for me ever since i started university life. but for the past vacation, i've gained a lot by participating in one of the many freshmen orientation camps in school as a helper.

anyway, school's starting soon! oh and did i tell you people that i scored an A+ for Japanese module? wow!! yeah i'm pretty proud of that one. don't ask me for the rest of my grades. they're horrendous. but i'm looking forward to school because i'm going to take Japanese II! i hope i recreate my A+ miracle.

i will work harder for my grades!!!


oh and do you think i should specialise in Communications & Media? or Computer Science? or Information Systems? i really don't know which to choose. currently the job market asks for more computer science grads. infosys grads are paid really good. Communications & Media is kind of like my passion because they do games/media stuff, so there's drawing invovled, and maybe animations. but the job market is a major boo-boo. argh I DON'T KNOW!!! and i need to make a decision soon because i'm entering Year 2 already! sigh.

i kind of liked it here in taiwan. but there were also a few unhappy moments in and out. haha.

my mom unknowingly booked a motel in kaohsiung, without knowing that it was a motel! LULZ. when we found out, me my sis and my couz were laughing hysterically.

anyway, no.s 1 and 5 will mean that i'm going on hiatus again and no.1 fully explains my absence. plus, no.s 3 and 4 will mean a lot of work for me to fret over, which gives me an excuse to futher procrastinate on dA. COMPUTING!!! ZOMG orz

below is random ranting about NUS that non-singaporeans wouldn't make sense of so you can probably ignore this part:
why does it take so much work to just to register myself into a uni? on top of the registration, there is a PRE-registration, and there's a medical checkup, blah blah blah. and i dont get why the NUS CORS system exists. i think it's a waste of time and brain power. neither NTU nor SMU has it. and why did you shift school of computing out of the current spot at the faculty of science to the current building! there are complaints aplenty about it. and also complaints aplenty about the CORS system. NUS!!! ARE YOU LISTENING?!

ah yes and my japanese language course is finishing soon. but it's only the very basics so don't expect me to be able to speak yet.

and i was put under discretionary admissions and i have an interview for the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Science. it makes me feel ultra demoralised. is BBC really that bad a grade? so bad that i have to be put under discretionary admissions? will i EVER be able to get into university after all? i feel like dying. sobsob. why am i in singapore where the university places are as scarce as food is in africa? DAMMIT!!!

if i fail the interview i can go and die!

on a lighter note, in june, i'm going back to taiwan for 3 weeks! woots! its set already. we already bought the airplane tickets. can't wait! all the delicious food... YUMMY!!!!! (when i come back i'll be as fat as a pig)

one of my aims for taiwan would be to get my hands on some ARASHI merchandise. heh heh! they're really popular everywhere in the world except for singapore. WHY!!! i'll defintely be able to get some stuff from taiwan. i hear that they even had a concert there, so they should be quite popular there, right, right, right? :D

so here's a lazy update for people who actually wondered where i've been lately.

yesterday was the LAST day of work! OMG! isn't that great news? so that means more time. for me to sleep as well as catch up with my new interest:

ARASHI! they are the cutest japanese boyband around i tell ya. i seriously can't figure out why it isn't any more popular than it is. i can't even find a card of them here. its ALWAYS fahrenheit, super junior, f4, kat-tun. for heaven's sake. arashi is so much better.

my favorite is Sakurai Sho (of COURSE). i like aiba's english( its hard NOT to laugh at it). Nino is really good at acting too(if only he would cut his hair)! Ohno is pretty funny too. however, i don't really like matsujun. he's too... uh... cold? ah well!

i'm addicted to youtube atm watching all the subbed arashi videos! Mago Mago Arashi, Arashi no Shukudai-kun, anything and everything! however they're running out. i had so much fun watching them! i just HAVE to learn japanese some day!!! DX

ah, yes! watch YAMADA TARO MONOGATARI too! its a freaking good drama, starring Sho and Nino from arashi(duh!) you just HAVE to watch it! its on mysoju.com but the links are a little cranky atm so if you really wanna watch you can always dl it from [link] its an absolutely ridiculous drama and i had a lot of fun watching it!!

so NOW you know the main reason for my inactivity on deviantart. well, i also had a relatively active social life recently, so don't blame it on arashi completely. i watched 2 movies with my friends that i think you should really catch if you can! CJ7 (by stephen chow) and L: change the world!!! L is really funny in this movie. it was SUPPOSED to be a serious movie but everyone can't help laughing at him. he's so cute! as in kawaii! hahahaahhaahhaha

well, besides i haven't got much motivation to draw anything. art block?

as you can see, i had fun during my absence from deviantart (ok, i couldn't resist logging in, but after that i don't feel like doing anything) but its time to get back since i can't use my job as an excuse anymore! 141 deviations and 102 messages to clear! YOSH! and then there's iLusty's hair texture tutorial to do ( i really want to do that cos it isn't everyday somebody asks for a tutorial (especially with my skill sigh))

AND! the gift art exchange thing. deadline's march 15! i'll try my best! DX





oh and by the way. A Level results are out on march7th..... if you don't see me around anymore after that you KNOW the results must be bad. which i seriously think it would turn out bad. i KNOW it. i've been fooling around too much during school and exams.

and my first try at drawing a real human was a DISASTER!!! however i felt it was not bad for a beginner. if not for me wanting to build up my portfolio for my obviously futile attempt to get into the ONLY art university course (they only accept 100+ people every year OMG) i would NEVER try to draw real humans. well i figured that those arty farty people would not like anime style art and anyway i had to show them that i was a flexible artist who is not restricted to only one type of art (loooong nose, liar) thats why i tried it out. and its a WIP too.

well it just basically means that i wont be able to do much CG-ing for a while now. so i'll be using watercolour more i think.

by the way! does any of you who stumbles upon my page want me to do a commissioned work? VERY CHEAP S$5 per piece! you can choose which medium (watercolour / CG / poster paint) haha. i just want to get an experience of what it is like. LOL. though my skills and everything isn't good. nobody will want to pay for it. so if you don't want!!! just pretend you didnt read this.

watercolour is so tough!!! i wonder how the heck :iconshel-yang: did it. and arina tanemura. they are CRAZY!!!!! i think i need thirty more years worth of experience before i can reach their standard.
