Ok. Things are much, much better now. I find myself busy on most days with tons of graphic design work. I have a few regular clients and the money is starting to come in... a little bit. My only problem is that I don't charge my clients enough and I find myself working endless hours for barely anything... I am giving people and their businesses deals and breaks left and right, but when do I get my break? I suppose this is going to be a problem until I toughen up a little bit and just start saying NO and charging what I am worth. And I think I am just as good (if not better) than the local competition. Not only do I charge about $30 less than the other local businesses, but I feel that my art is more up-to-date with current trends and more fun... I'm trying not to toot my own horn here, but I'm being honest when I say these things. I just wish that more people could find out about my graphics business and I could start getting some clients that actually want to pay for the services that I can provide... I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck and barely getting by... you know?

It's been one year since I graduated and not much has changed! Although I worked 7 months out of the year as a graphic designer, I now find myself unemployed (well, with the "business" on the side) and going BACK to school this Monday. Yep. You heard right. I'm going back to school to learn web development since FSU didn't teach us how to design web pages. I will also be learning programming like (javascript, PHP programming, HTML, CSS, etc) so I'm excited! I'm sure it'll up the pay when I finally find a REAL job. The reason(s) why I left my old job are way too long to list on here, but believe me, I was not insane to quit. However, I AM going insane staying at home which is why I'm so excited to start school again!!!!

It really is a disappointment when you work your butt off for 8 years in college, just so you can rack up $25,000 in loans and STILL find yourself applying for jobs at minimum wage...

I think I've taken on way too much this semester (my last semester). I have about 4 different graphic design classes AND work-study in the graphics dept here at my university. I think my head is going to fall off. Well, at least it'll fall off while I am doing what I enjoy most.
