So we've been getting as much crap off our old computer and onto the new one today. And now its all set up and great (though i need to re-install a bunch of crap)

I BET YOUR WONDERING ABOUT THE DRAG QUEENS?!

well, this is something that happened at my friends house.
We're up in her brother's room and we're all playing some super smash bros, when we hear a 'tap tap' on their window (which is on the 2nd floor)

We all get up to investigate, draw the blinds and see a HOARD of cross dressers in their driveway throwing rocks at the window. We all look at each other and are like wtf!?

on closer inspection, we all see that its people we know. My friend does a lot of theatre and stuff, and right now they're doing GYPSY, so theres all of these skimpy outfits for costumes. Appearantly the cast (or the teenage boy portion) decided to parade around town in the skimpy out fits.

The next thing we notice is that they have sticks, and plastic swords and stuff.

The "leader" says that we're under attack and we have 5 minutes to get some weapons, or else they won't leave, and will start SINGING.

We're all freaking out wondering what the hell is going on. So five minutes later, we're all standing on their front porch with a giant cardboard dragon head (that we made a couple months ago for school), a Lacrosse stick, and a freakin JUMPROPE looking at these 10 or so guys dressed in drag, looking ready to chase us down.

We end up getting into this giant fake sword fight thing (we established beforehand no actual trying to hurt each other) that stretches across the entire street, and the one next to it. The dragon head is just wacking people in the back and bopping them on the head and it was SO hard not to just stop and laugh and stare.

My friend got kidnapped, and one of the guys brought their kid sister, so we took her and started sprinting away as fast as we could. She starts kicking my friend's brother and he DROPS her, and they all catch up with us and we're surrounded.

One of them yells "Theres only one way to settle this! ITS A DANCE OFF"
but we end up having a "sing off" instead. and so we're freakin screaming at the tops of our lungs camp songs, and they're coming back at us with some shit from rent.

we end up back at my friends house, with these 10 dudes, a little sister, and us playing video games.

Then their mom comes home and is like "WHAT THE FU** IS GOING ON HERE!? D8<"
i ended up going home that night.

This sums up my winter break (and my brother is getting married)

school starts tomorrow, and so does the 2nd quarter of orchestra.

main reason for my ABSENCE?

i fought the law
...
and the law won.

naw, i joke. 1/2 of it was a MAJOR crashing of my family's computer in like late september or early october, where we lost SO much stuff. (pictures, music, documents, etc)
My brothers haven't been home from college/across state so that i can steal their laptops (spoiled) and be happy.
I haven't chatted online either for all this time! THERE WERE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS. There probably were chances to at least let you know i'm alive, i'm just a lazy bum. Our computer lives...kinda , and it hasn't been down for the 3-4 months i've been gone, but it caused a lot of difficulties.

Also it doesn't help any that my after school stuffs is eating me alive, i've had sports practice EVRYDAY except sunday. Plus music (orchestra, cello lessons, piano lessons, marimba, jammin' so thats a butt too.


ENOUGH DEFENDING MYSELF.


heres what's happened in my life that is happy and worth mentioning:
1. there's a kitten in my house! his name is loki...lowkeyi, i dunno... and hes crazy and fun and cute
2. i've composed 4 songs lately. one for two cellos, one for my marimba ensemble, and two for piano plus optional guitar.
3. I'VE RAISED THE MONEY TO GO TO OMETEPE FINALLY, plus theres one more fundraising thing.
4. i seem to come off as religious or something, because at least 2 people have asked if i'm jewish, and someone asked if i was a mormon.
5. i've mastered whistling with my fingers
6. i've been sick SO MUCH, (sinus infections, flu, IT NEVER ENDS)
7. i'm getting braces, though i don't think i need them...
8. I got some new glasses, and i'm becoming nerdier by the day.

updates and stuff are bound to be SLOW

i'm not very happy about this... mostly because i don't like enviroments like that, and i don't play a lot of classical music.

I play a lot with guitarists, and rock music and contemporary music, because classical never appealed to me much. (though there are exceptions to that)

and because i don't play cello traditionally, i never learned a lot of theory so its some viciouse cycle! It doesn't help much that i was pressured into doing this.

OK ENOUGH VENTING

i have a marimba performance this weekend, which promises to be fun (like always)
And i just finnished composing a piano piece that i will be playing in a recital.

so thats all happy


i wish i had more time to draw right now! i'm just so busy, and my hands havn't been cooperating lately! BUT THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE WORKS I SWEAR. I've had some great insperation lately. (you know who you are)

that was SERIOUSLY the best 2 weeks of my summer, specially sonce i got to see my pen-pal again.

i cried so much when we all had to say goodbye! (is one of those EMOTIONAL people)
5 days straight if kayaking is a real bonding experience, and it helps a lot that my unit only had like 18 people in it. small groups are better than large ones in my opinion, cuz i feel i get a lot closer to everyone.

We went to Disneyland, which is probably the MOST stressful place on earth. You can't go a step without hearing some argument. But it was fun. I gotta go on splash mountain!
We also went to Universal Studios. I saw the MYSTERY MACHINE



i went on some rides and what people would usually do at a theme park.

oh! i can pass for 21, according to the waitresses that were serving us at Bucca de Beppos.



they kept refilling it too! and then my uncles kept dancing around the room to the italian music in the background. I love my family.



there were like 36 of us in that room. The wedding itself was fun too, but it was CRAZY expensive...

I saw shamu and got an ICEE for the first time in YEARS






the second i got back home, i went over to my friends house and got my hair cut short!



other than that, i'm just being lazy at home...

so, on the flight over here, i had to get up at 4:30, catch the 5:20 ferry over to Seattle, and catch a 7:30 flight.

AT first everythings all smooth and dandy, then our flight is delayed and they hold us on the plane for 2 HOURS



i have a v-neck sunburn, and since i'm freakishly pale, its REALLY BAD, sand i'm going to a wedding in a few days...it hurts to have clothes on! (you know what THAT means.....)

my broher is the type to be non-caring and mello, even about a broken arm...
so he gets some x-rays, and the bone is completely broken through and dislocated and looks like it hurts like hell.

But the thing is, is that he got the broken arm a day before he came home, so he slept with it like that, cuz his "BUDDIES" were all

"its just a shiner you pansy!" OR SOMETHING along those lines.

so today hes going into the city to have surgery, cuz they need to screw a METAL PLATE into the bone and the presedure takes like 2 hours.

Names Katie, i'm brand new to DA (heard about it from a friend) so, i'm still learning the ropes.

I have a lot of hobbys, so i'm fairly busy. (Cello, Piano, Marimbas[big wooden xylaphones], Lacrosse, Drawing, cooking)
Now that summer is FINALY here (i got out on June 22nd due to snow days) i'll have lots of time to start drawing again.

I'm the youngest of three (two older brothers) and i'll be starting Highschool in September. One of my brothers just graduated from highschool, the other just graduated from college.

I got my tablet and photoshop elements for christmas, so i've only had them for about 7 months. Because of this, everytime i draw, i somehow color it differently each time... bare with me until i find my style!
