Well, the computer seems to be working fine thus far. I had several problems with it for which I had to reformat it TWICE! As if that wasn't enough, I was off-line from 2009.10.04 to 2009.10.20 (October 4th to the 20th) because of problems with my DSL modem.

And now, to make the month memorable (and the reason of the title of this journal) is that there is a LARGE scale fire on an old oil refinery on my home country of Puerto Rico. The thing that causes the bigger impact is that the place is literally behind my house!

I felt/heard when the thing went off: I was on my bed/computer room around 00:32 (12:30 AM) last night/this morning (2009.10.23 / October 23, 2009) when I heard three consecutive loud noises that sounded like thunder and I felt the room shaking. Then (most dramatic part) I felt like a huge "wind" (shock wave) coming through the window and shaking everything!!! Then I went outside to check it out and neighbors told me it was an explosion.

I even went against common sense (IF I have such a thing) and grabbed a handy cam I have to film anything I could. (Once I transfer it to DVD I'll upload something to You Tube).


It is quite far away but because of the size of the fire (around 11 /ELEVEN/ tanks that blew up O_O ) you can see this HUGE dark column of smoke from the distance. [link]

So far no evacuation orders has been given and I pray it never comes and that the fire can be controlled and the smoke don't affect anybody.

Managed to get the computer fixed and I am now back on line. Well, I have been for the last couple of days (in case you haven't noticed). But I have not made anything new because I am busy solving other problems and I am taking things easy with the PC.

I am also tracking down that elusive muse of mine to help me finish some works by providing a charge of inspiration and refuel me with the energy I need to pick up the pencil and start doing things, then ignite the drive to push me to finish things.

Went out to see stores and eat and do some exercise but nothing special. Wanted to buy myself a gift but found nothing. I was looking for a Classic Transformer but all I found were Animated and Live (Movie) stuff. Should have known I was wasting my time searching for them at this stage of the game.

Decided to upload something [link] for the sake of updating. I wanted to upload something new but this past couple of days I was as uncreative and unmotivated as usual. Guess I am becoming a sour bitter old bastard.

The result of my first experimentations with it are this cuty known as Niky [link] and her Metal Skin powered suit Sting, along her "ride" the T.A.C. [link] (little, ain't it?). Both of them are colorization of old and unrelated drawings I'd made through the years that has finally saw the light of day on Deviant Art and both were worked this past afternoon.

Notice the level of detail I put on these two pieces. I am planning on do more like this as I experiment with softwares and new techniques to further develop my works.

I am waiting for the strike of the midnight hour to burn some CDs of custom music I made to "celebrate my darkness". The must savage songs I could found on my collection. I may post the tracklist later for you to have a glimpse at how depraved I am musically. I am planning on drawing a cover for it but I am not very satisfied with my own skills and I want something that looks good. We shall see what comes out.

I remembered that when I look at my profile on my DA's front page some weeks ago and since the date is so close I have decided to "celebrate" the occassion with some special (at least for me) Deviations, and try to boost my selfsteam a little by doing so.

The works bellow are part of my endless collection of Stick-On mini drawings. I had planned uploading them earlier but decided not to do so and wait for the right moment and make them part of the celebration. Not to mention I was not too pleased with some details in some of them so I've decided to re-do them so they can be in spotless shape for the celebration.

On top of that, this give me room to write some really nice bios for the girls and specs for their "toys". Some names were given at the last minute since I rushed the process a little bit because of some connectivity issues I was having with DA and I decided to do the update earlier (and on time).

The characters/mechs in question are divided in 4 teams of 4 members each (hence the a.k.a. title).
