I'm so excited! I just bought my plane ticket to Ithaca, NY to visit a friend for 5 days. It's going to be super-awesome amazing.

... except for the 2 hour lay-over... and the $350 it's costing me. I'll be stuck in Philadelphia for 2 hours going and returning. The total flight time is 3 hours and 15 minutes, but the 2 hours I'll be spending at the Philadelphia airport... yeah. Not so great. Still excited. I'll have my cellphone so I can call and chat with people for 2 hours- or I'll pull out my Nintendo DS and play Mario Party or something silly.

Anyways, first time travelling alone and I'm going all of the way up to New York. In December. I know that I'm just asking to freeze my nonexistant ass off. I have to get warmer clothes to carry with me, but I want to pack as light as possible (I have a fear of losing my luggage since I'm trading planes.)

I'll be leaving December 12th at 12:40 from Atlanta, arriving in Philadelphia at 2:44... then leaving Philadelphia at 4:50 and arriving in Ithaca at 6:40. That is, if there are no delays. Errk. A little nervous about flying. Just a little. I've been away from home before with friends, granted... to Mrytle Beach and to Atlanta. But New York? That's pretty damn far away. I will survive, though! I just have to remember to eat (I get excited and forget to) and take my medicine on time. Unfortunately, I have to visit during exam time- and in December. Fuck it's going to be cold.

Damn being spoiled and raised in the south. I need warmer clothes. Very badly. Like. I own way too many tanktops, and that is NOT going to work in NY. Of course, I have stylish, warm jackets. That could work, could it? I think so. Going shopping with my mom tomorrow for clothes. It's only November 13, but I have so much to do between now and then, it's going to sneak up on me, I just know it.

Funny that exams at my school end on the 11th and I leave the day after. Am I going to be able to sleep the 11th? Probably not. Bad situation. But hey, maybe I'll sleep on the plane or something. Then again, since I'm travelling by myself, maybe that's not such a good idea.

Gah. Okay. Ramble over. I'm just INCREDIBLY surprised my parents agreed. I didn't think they would, but they did and I'm happy happy happy!!!

Surprisingly, it wasn't TOO bad, but it took a lot out of all of us. And considering I wasn't feeling well for most of the trip, I was terrified I wouldn't be able to go to it. I mean, I was like "I want to go home" last night, that's how sick I was.

But. ^____^ I perservered.

And I'm so glad I did. At 12:00, we decided to go check out the line to see if we wanted to wait 7 hours or go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and stuff. Well, when we learned that there were 60 people already ahead of us, we decided that we wanted to wait. We got lunch at the House of Blues and took it into line with us. (The food was nummy, just so you know.)

We met several girls and talked to them. It was cool. It passed the time. At 5, Chelsea met up with us in the line. She was so awesome. We talked and played cards for about 2 hours. That was fun! Even if I didn't really understand the card game.

Well, at 7, when we got in, there were SOOOO many girls. The front line was completely filled up and there were about 3 other lines (we would have been in the fourth line). Luckily, Chelsea had a great idea to go up to the balcony. We had been TOLD that it would be blocked off to everyone. Turns out, it was a LIIIIEEEE. We got SEATS. SCREW YOU, GENERAL ADMISSION.

We had a perfect view of the stage.

And, finally, a little after 8, the concert started. I SCREAMED. Bill was so gorgeous. I mean, so gorgeous. He was even better looking in person!! It was so.. eeeee. I WILL upload my videos later. I videotaped everytime Bill got close to Tom. Ha.

Also, I was singing in German, apparently Bill noticed, because after he looked up at me, he slipped up during Rette Mich. Of course, he looked up in our direction a lot. When I raised my hand he raised his back (I swear I was making eye-contact with him. Maybe I was being fangirl delusional, but I wasn't the only one who noticed.)

I wish I had gotten to meet them, but I guess it wasn't meant to happen right now. I'll wait for my chance.

Sadly, I can see why girls LOVE Bill. He's so charismatic on stage, and he really pulls you in. It was... well, it was just a great concert. I loved it. I was only sad I wasn't able to get more on tape.

I started investigating different majors, and I have decided to major in Japanese language and minor in Chinese. ... Then I might go back and get a degree in Chinese later. This is going to be after this year of college, of course. I really can't wait to get started. I looked at the courses offered and it looks awesome.

Hmm... didn't end up getting to go to Europe. I got a puppy instead. <3

Now to get this damn Religion essay done. Comparing the "Trinity" of Christianity to the "three bodies of Buddha" ... I'll finish it tomorrow when I'm not feeling so lazy.

So, yeah, that's my plan. I also will be forking out expenses this month:

$35 for Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice*WTF!) vol. 4
$35 for Death Note DVD 3 w/ L figurine (I have Light and Ryuk...)
$7 for a new sketch book
$10 for a pattern so I can make my cosplay**

** For those of you who know, I'm cosplaying as L this year at AWA. However, I also want to MAKE a costume to wear. This may or may not happen...

That's $87 if my math is correct. How much money do I have? $10. Yep. so $77 is how much I'll have to pull out of my ass.

Actually, my dad is buying Death Note 3 for me. So that's would be... $42 left. not bad. I'm certain I can talk my uncles into chipping in money for Valentine's Day and buying me Gyakuten Saiban 4 (If all else fails, I'll ask my mommy. She knows how much I love those games.)

Meanwhile, I've decided to try to play Pokemon Diamond again (seeing as I gave Pearl to one of my best guy friends so we could battle/trade.) Honestly, I wasn't going anywhere in Diamond... and I had never opened Pearl, so I gave it to him for Christmas (I still don't have my present because Okane Ga Nai is hard to find).

I also have just about given up on "Twilight." It's not my kind of book. Kudos if you love it, but if you don't, I sympathize. I think I'm going to go watch V for Vendetta now, seeing as I've never seen it and loyanini let me borrow it. I might as well watch it while I'm sick and have nothing better to do. (I hope it's as good as she says it is.)

PS. They are FINALLY going to release Tiny Toons on DVD! YAY! That was my favorite show when I was a little kid (and I WILL get it, dammit.)
