Yesterday i went to the movies to see 'Der Untergang', biopic about a man who had a large impact on modern european society. Hitler.
As i had expected, it was great. Great photography, great characters (even though they hadn't had to think m up ), superior acting - especially Eva Braun was really well played, it's such a weird person, always joyfully jumping around while a war is going on all around her, but with a dignity that fits a women of such 'standing'. I had to do with her, the poor child. And -i should whisper the next lines- even for the 'imperson', the loony, the bringer of evil, i could feel some sympathy. Not with his acts of course, nor with his ideas or ideals, but with the man that he must have been. A man who wanted his dreams to come true, but had to fight the world to make it happen. In the end he lost all, and that is sad -as lucky as we are he couldn't carry on.

I think it's healthy -not 'dangerous'- to see the man behind your enemy. If only to remind ourselves we are human too. An enemy may have opposite opinions and cruel ways of imposing these, but isn't evil or worse than the 'good' -for there are in fact no good or bad, i'm a strict relativist in that matter.

it's quite funny in fact -my relationship with dA. It's one of extreme hights and roomy flatlands, and at this point i'm hiking towards a peak. Let's hope i don't twist my ankle

My main goal for this journal is to 'learn' english in the act of writing about silly things and less silly things. I'm going to try to turn this into a habit, otherwise this will be abandoned soon.

is going to show me how lino is done, i'm looking forward to learning the process. Lino makes heavenly pictures -in fact it doesn't differ much from ordinary vectorart, but it has a more authentic feeling to it, vectors are dead and cold, lino breathes xD
i guess it's not simple, but i'm going to fight my way through it -i have to, i promised it to myself when i first encountered lino-art, and promises are to be kept (when they suit you, of course).
Eels - Electro Shock Blues >> check out the booklet, pure lino-art..... (i think)
