I'm unsure as to whether I plan on posting the occasional Axis Powers Hetalia fanart or something here, but I may visit to update with something new.

Tomorrow.
It's the day, the day I take my flight from John Wayne Airport to San Francisco Airport for my three day orientation at San Jose State University.

WOAH MAN.

You know what that means?

That means that on Wednesday, after a three-day-long orientation, I'll be on a flight to TOKYO.

Then from there ... well.
From what I've heard, I'll be living with a family with two kids [boy: 8 yrs, girl: 7 yrs], a mother who's a housewife [typical Japanese family?] and a father who's a doctor. The doctor part I find a little intimidating for some reason, but I'm guessing that's just me.

They live in the suburbs of Sapporo [yes, like Sapporo beer. OTL], which is on the Northern-most island of Hokkaido.

Apparently Hokkaido is absolutely gorgeous.

Haha, my Japanese sensei put it this way, ever so eloquently, "It's like the, ahh, what do you call it? Oh! Idaho. It's like the Idaho of Japan." among other things involving potatoes and such, but of course, I was outside taking the final and only caught snippets of the conversation. [Snippets. Can't decide whether I hate that word or not.]

Anyway, these past weeks have been pretty literally insane, brain-melting, confusing, and utterly unprecedented as well as exciting.

I keep forgetting what I'm doing all this for, then at random times it'll hit me and I'll pause, and say: "... holy shit, I'm going to JAPAN!"

Yeah. It's kinda hard to really quite comprehend this all.

Anyway, other than updating you, the point of this journal was to tell you that for the next month and a half to two months, I shall be on HIATUS.

This is really a first for me, because I'm determined not to check it while I'm there.
Honestly.

It's my goal to break the addiction, haha.

I mean, to be honest, I can't quite figure out whether I'm happy or not.

... actually, that's not true. I know I'm really happy, and I'm really excited about everything that's going to happen over the next few weeks, months, but it's just taking a while to get there, haha.

Um, I don't have any good comics at ALL up on dA to show you [don't go looking at that old shit or anything, your eyes will BUUURNNNN], but I will do

I guess I accept animation commishes as well, but those'd cost more and would take a while longer to get finished ... and I'm rather limited in that skill-wise.

I got my hair cut. Haha, Monday'll be ... interesting, to say the least.
So I just spent [because my mom wasn't going to pay for it, like she still isn't planning on paying for my dead computer] money on a haircut, and I'm broke, BUT ... I'm dogsitting my grandma's dog right now, so she'll owe me 20 bucks.
And I just saw this WONDERFUL Hinata wig on *honeybeat's Journal.

So I bought it! Or at least, I'm planning on it when I have moneyyy. <3

I've given up on fixing my computer for now, but it WILL be fixed.

So, about that new and even better cause ... I'm trying to convince my dad to let me apply to OCHSA [Orange County High School of the Arts]. It cost money, though, so I'm doing everything to convince him that I'm committed and that I deserve to go. Funny thing is, I probably wouldn't even be applying for Visual Arts. I was thinking along the lines of Creative Writing or Film or Production & Design.

Anyway, I need about 4k for the entire year. [both for school and for the monthly train pass, seeing as the school is, what, two hours away?]

If I can do anything to help him let me go, whether just by getting good grades or helping what tiny bit I can with the financial issues, I would be sooo happy.
I really really want to go to that school. And I really really don't want to keep going to the school I'm at now.
But who knows!

Right again. I told you guys that I applied for a scholarship to go to Japan for the summer? Well, I did. That was in January. And I don't find out until April whether I got in or not. Finally finished with those spur-of-the-moment requests!
They were all fun~!
*was really just looking for a reason to draw crack and practice with OC1*

Ughhh. This week's been LONG.
Especially because of karate.
DX Fun, but hard. We've been testing...
I've been doing MMA (mixed martial arts) since I was 7 or 8, and I'm training/testing for my black belt right now.
For about a month or so, I've been doing this adult (woman's) weapon's class... It's fucking AWESOME, but it wears me out.
Especially when I do not only THAT class, but another one earliar in the day.
D: about THREE hours of karate in ONE DAY.
It was pretty crazy.
But I'm planning on doing the adult class twice a week, and the kid's one about once. (I'm doing it the other way around currently)

School-wise, I'm falling a bit behind. DX
But it's all good!
I'll catch up, 'cuz I always do<3
AND AND AND
In English I Pre IB, we have to memorize and recite the balcony scene of Romeo and Juliet

I'm doing it with this guy friend of mine, only we're switching parts. XD

1. I read at least two books a week. XD
2. My favourite band changes about every other week at the very least. XDDD; Right now it's The Decemberists.
3. I can only draw fanart when I get an idea for something, but in all truths it's just a hobby. :< I prefer drawing my own characters.
4. I still have NO CLUE how my doujin (the NaruSasu one) is going to end. XD I have no endings for ANY of my stories.
5. I always draw the endings first, but they always change. So I constantly draw endings. XD I can't draw beginnings, because I don't know where to start! *shot* That was a bad pun... XD
6. I've played violin since 4th grade, guitar since 6th, and I'm trying to teach myself piano.
7. I turned 14 in November, and I'm in 9th grade. I should probably be in 8th. XDD; But I'm still in advanced classes. *shot*
8. I don't use references. Unless I'm drawing a new character. But really, I do. Not. Use. References. XDDD;

Because I'm bored as hell.
