I realize that I've been quite a downer lately, both on- and offline. Sorry dudes. I have a lot of negative stuff in my life right now, and as much as I try to keep that stuff from leaking into my social persona, it doesn't always work and I upset those around me. Believe me that I don't mean to. The stuff in my life right now is stuff that I need to work out in my own head.

In other news, my sleep schedule is almost regulated. Those of you who know me personally know that I have a problem with sleeping, or, rather, a problem with waking up. Then, out of nowhere, I was struck with a bout of insomnia...I woke up at 5pm (I told you my schedule was messed up)...tried to go to sleep around 2am...didn't....stayed awake in bed until 7am, at which time I got up, got dressed, and went to school...tried to take a nap at 11am...couldn't sleep...went back to class at 3pm...came home completely exhausted at 4.30pm...decided to soldier on until 9pmish to try to regulate myself....stayed awake, miserable....went to bed at 9.30pm...couldn't sleep. I swear, I couldn't sleep no matter how tired I was! It was insane. I FINALLY fell asleep at about 6am. Slept through my morning class. I cared not.

Last night, I tried some Nyquil to get me sleeping. Man, I don't know if I was asleep or awake but I was hallucinating something crazy. Note to self: drink more Nyquil. Stuff rocks.

So yeah, I'm awake now, waiting for afternoon class. My skin has cleared up some, finally. How long that will last, I do not know. I have my homework mostly done, which is a good thing. I STILL need to get some stuff printed up for portfolio class, but whatev.

So I didn't check my email for about a month, and found that all I had missed was some spam. Cool.

Heeheehee! I love birthdays, but they have lost all meaning...I mean, I don't do anything that requires me to be a specific age (I don't smoke, drink, buy porno...well, I download that!) but I will be able to go to bars to see concerts so that will be cool. Maybe I'll treat myself to another haircut. We shall see.

I think that I would like to have an awesome party, but a) I don't have a lot of pals who would want to spend more than an hour with me, 2) I would not subject the friends I do have to the squalor that is my home and d) meh.

Know what though? It is the boy's birthday this Saturday. Maybe I should throw a joint bday bash!...perhaps next weekend I shall have a garden party (that way our friends don't actually have to come inside our house)...the only requirement would be that you would have to bring food (a pot-luck affair) or a bodacious bday gift for mehself or him. Of course, Dave hates fuss, so that might not go over too well. We'll see, I'll keep you all posted.

Welp, nothing new on the Jenn horizon. I've pretty much been sitting on the floor on the laptop watching freaking Nick at Nite every single night. I have seen every episode of Roseanne at least three times, and Fresh Prince is running at a close second.

It's probably my own fault for watching so many talented artists, but I have not been motivated at all recently. I have had no inclination whatsoever to create. I have not drawn something on paper for a few months now....

Meh. It's the apathy of graduation methinks, but I'm not really looking forward to a job in the creative field, honestly. I just don't see the point in even trying to compete. Maybe I'll do psychic readings for money instead :3

It's strange how much your life can change in such a short time, isn't it? A year ago I was so outgoing and cheerful, but now I'd much, much rather avoid any and all unnecessary contact with people (and believe me, any contact at all is "unecessary")...is that not odd? Plus, I avoid going online now...so I pretty much just mope around the house Ah well. All will change in due time.

On the plus side, my birthday is coming up! The big 2-1. Whoop-de-freaking-do. I will spend it at home watching Nick at Nite probably! I'd have a party and invite all of my friends, but the two of us already live together anyway XD

Marg, I'm just being depressing, and that's not cool! I don't wanna clutter my front page with all that junk. So here's happy news!

Pippi is simmering down some, she is no longer the evilest of evil ferrets, but now sits happily perched on my shoulder...before leaping off randomly. Happy little devil ferret...I want seven more.

I joined a wicca forum...not because I am wiccan, but whenever I find a forum that's "members only" I immediately become enraged, sign up, see what's oh-so-secret, and then promptly lose interest. Man, I must be a member of like thirty forums...dang. anyway, I reada bunch of interesting stuff.

I got a new deck of tarot cards recently at a new age bookstore that is apparently one mile away from my house (and I have been oblivious to its existence all these years). The Thoth deck is awesome. Uncle Al is a funny dude.

I am glad to see that a zombie is today's DD. That makes me happy on the inside. I for one welcome our new undead overlords.

My parents watched War of the Worlds today. My second greatest fear...after zombies....is Tripods. Tripods suck.

David got the Morrowind: Oblivion game, go I've been talking to the back of his head for about a month now. He might have grown a beard, and I wouldn't even notice. jk Dave.

I have this problem where my arms and legs fall asleep randomly...all the time. It sucks, because I'll be walking across the room, and then BAM crumple to the floor. It's awesome though because sleepy foot is hilarious.

I made apple dumplings for my man today. I din't much care for them, but he was happy.

Sometimes I think that it'd be awesome just to leave and go somewhere else - outta state, outta country, whatever. There's not much holding me here besides immediate family. I don't have a whole lot of "IRL" friends, and, what with the way I've been shunning the intarweb, I don't have a whole lot of online friends either! I have no roots, I can leave whenever I want - after I graduate.

I graduate college in three months. It sounds like a lomg time, but I know from experience that those three months will fly by. This will be a period of nonstop vectaar and many sleepless nights. Fortunately, I have facilitated this by finally quitting Medieval Times. It will be bizarre - I have worked there for three years, and I can't even remember what it's like to NOT have work to go to on the weekends or after school!

I've picked up my needles and started knitting again, much to the chagrin of the BF. I've been using my knitting machine, but it seems easier (albeit slower) to just knit the damn things by hand sometime..

I am easily amused...

So I'm not "gone" per se, just undercover. Passive-aggressive, if you will. I'm not really up to the task of juggling my online life with my real life, and right now the real world is priority (more's the pity) so I'll only be around sporadically.

I got a refund from Ticketmaster for the Thrill Kill Kult tickets, so that's cool. That makes twice that I've been able to get a refund from them as a customer, but I've never been able to negotiate a refund from them for Medieval Times customers when something goes wrong. Funny old world.

Sucks that my favorite band comes through Chicago and I'm not even able to go see them because I'm 3 months too young >_< it was then end of their tour too, so I can't like drive up to Milwaukee or nothing when I AM 21. Oh well, I'll have to grill Cenkar for a description of the awesomeness of the concert.

I haven't logged in to Ultima in many days now...I feel horrible..I should log in just to let everyone know that I'm still alive.

I swear, this short hair thing is driving me nutso. It's static-ing to my head, and I'm getting crazy cowlicks going every which way, and that slight wave in my hair? Yeah, it's full on curl action. And it's not even long enough to put in a pony tail, and the bangs are too long to be bangs and too short to tuck behind my ears! All I can say is this headband is getting a lot of use, lemme tell ya.

I've been artworking like crazy. I'm worried because I'm planning on doing a 2D demo reel, but it's difficult to make those look good XD I have some ideas, all of which involve a lot of work. Also, I need to buy a domain name, but jennthompson.com is already taken by some chick who'll write English papers for you for a fee. I swear, that's not me....*shifty eyes*

I'm re-teaching myself how to crochet. I sorta know how, but I'm not awesome at it like Don't get me wrong, I'm a crazy-awesome knitter and all....but for some reason the simplicity of a string and a hook eludes me where five double-pointed needles, stitch holders and cable needles do not. Weird stuff.

Speaking of which, some person named still has my knitting books, and some person named still has my book on angels.....

I will listen to the ole iPod and browse ebay for a while, methinks.

Ok, so I am currently minus 12 inches of hair. I feel strange and boyish.

David bought us tickets to the TKK concert tomorrow, but it's only 21 and over! I am not quite 21 yet, so I'm going to try and get a refund from Ticketmaster today, or find the other person in the world who has heard of TKK and get them to go in my place. Ahh well.

We are also seeing Sisters of Mercy at the end of this month; that concert is 18+ so I'm cool. Damn, I wish my birthday was in February or something.

I am also planning to move to Tuscon, Arizona. But I'm still working on it.

Hey ho, s'been bout a month so I guess I'd better update...

Haven't been around much because I haven't had a whole lot of time. I'm currently working close to full time (25-38 hours a week, depending) during our busiest time of the year, plus going to school 30 hours a week, plus about 30 hours a week working on artwork and preparing my portfolio for graduation in May (or June? Is it June?)....bleh. I'm getting lots of art done, however, I lack the inclination to post any of it.

So what's new on the Jenn front?

Well, Dave and I got tickets to the Sisters of Mercy concert in March, so that brings my cool/goth quotient up to about 23.8%. That's always cool. I told my mom, and she asked me if Sisters of Mercy was an all-nun church choir.

Ahem.

I have recently decided that Lily Munster is my idol, because not only is she the perfect housewife, she does it in style. My new favorite book is my 1961 Betty Crocker Cookbook. It has such helpful hints, like "Always apply makeup and a dash of cologne before preparing breakfast!" LOL

What else....

I have recently been invited to some sort of "girls night in" deal with and (ooh, I'm such a namedropper) but I probably won't be able to make it I work too much, and I don't feel like making Misty wake her ass up at 9am to drive me to work on a Sunday morning, after she'd been drinking all night, yarg. But of course we'll see.

I am getting my hair cut and *gasp* my eyebrows weedwhacked!

There are many of you who do not know me in real life, so let me paint a picture for you of what I look like right now.

I am about 5'1, weigh about 126lbs (I gots junk in da trunk), and, while I yearn for death-white skin, my damn Mediterranean heritage denies me this, and gives me some sort of boring medium skin that shows up zits awesomely *thumbs up*. My mouth is too small for my face, and my nose is a strange, though not unappealing, shape. My eyebrows are quite thick and dark (although I don't think they look too bad, I tend to lose control of them!) and I have a bizarre clump of eyelash hair that grows between my eyelid and eyebrow on my left eye (hence that weird dot underneath my eyebrow on any self-portrait I draw). I am soooo sick.

And thanks to our new rule at work, I can't call in because I'm not giving 24 hours advance notice, nor did I call around to see if anyone was willing to fill in for me (hah).

I have my period.

Oh noes, you may say. Poor Jenn, don't you get one every month? It's just a little cramping. Loser. You must have a low pain threshold.

Allow me to clarify.

All of the women in my family have had hysterectomies so that they wouldn't have to wait until menopause. Get it? No?

Well, it begins with about an hour of short, sharp pains to the lower abdomen. f yo can catch these pains in time then you can take ibuprofen before the pain really starts. I was, however, asleep during these pains.

Then there's the prolonged stomach cramp, like a fist around your abdomen, that alternately clenches and clenches tighter. The muscles in your stomach and lower back spasm and twitch uncontrollably. With each clench and contraction of the abdomen muscles, intense fucking pain shoots down your arms and legs. Also, you start to shiver uncontrollably as your body heat drops a couple degrees. The combination of pain in the limbs and numb hands and feet renders you all but useless for the day, as you have no real energy to get up and do anything. Plus, the intense nausea, which means that if you're gonna be lazing around all day, there will be no snacking involved.

So here I am, lying in bed in a shivering, sweating, twitching, and whining heap in bed with my new laptop on my belly. Thank goodness the dsl cable reaches into he bedroom. I'm just gonna lie here until I have to get up, get dressed, drive to work, pretend to be ok, thank god that I don't have to cashier tonight, and probably spend half the evening in the bathroom.

What a joke it is, being a woman. Maybe this is god's way of telling me to get pregnant and get in the kitchen

Ok, so last night I was bored and decided to join facebook.com (for those of you who don't know, it's like a myspace.com but without the myspace whores, lol....it's like a place to keep in touch with classmates after graduation and such) - but anyway, there's an option to look up the people in your graduating class, so I popped in my state, town, high school, and year of graduating.

Oh em gee, how depressing.

FIrst of all, all the "beautiful" people either look skanky as hell or, well, skanky as hell. I swear, these people have not moved out of the "oh my gawd I'm in highschool" mindset....no one has grown up, it seems.

Ok, for those of you who did NOT go to William Fremd High School (a lot of you, I'm sure), we had what were known as "Fremd Girls" and I shit you not, these made up about 85% of the female population (the other 15% were traditional Asian or Indian girls, or the band geeks, or the art kids, or the "whatevers" (me))

RECIPE FOR A FREMD GIRL

1 cup of rich-girl attitude (WFHS is situated in an exceedingly affluent area)
1 cup of rich-girl allowance
1 pinch of Daddy's Lexus/Lincoln/what-have-you
2 cups peroxide (completye with brain-addling fumes)
2 cups "fake-bake" brand orange self-tanner (if it ain't orange it ain't fake-bake)
1 ridiculously-priced purse
2 annoyingly perfect legs
1 tooth-whitening kit

METHOD
Combine ingredients until yielding and doughy. Knead firmly until all trace of a unique personality has been eradicated. Roll into a ball and place in a shallow pan with three other fremdgirl balls (they never travel alone) and fake bake at 350 degrees for the summer between eighth grade and freshman year. Remove from oven when it reaches 5'7" tall and says that she weights 115 lbs (she really weighs a normal 140 lbs, but don't dare try to tell her that) Garnish with the same clothes that her friends are wearing (but not on the same day they're wearing them, gawd forbid).

Aaaaaanyway, I never had a problem with these kinda girls in school, honestly. I ignored them and I'm pretty sure that they saw right right through me. However, it's college now, girls. Apparently the recipe for a college fremdgirl is the same as above, but doused with liberal quantities of alchohol. Very few of these girls grew out of this sixteen-seventeen year old mentality (although there ARE exceptions, don't get me wrong)

Seeing these kids made me feel depressed, though. I mean, they have albums upon albums full of pictures of them at parties, with their boyfriends, at college sports events, at bars, and all sorts of normal early twenties activites.

I, while terminally awesome and tragically hip, am quite happy to stay at home, hang out with a few friends once or twice a month, go to work, go to school, and take things easy. Am I completely lame or what?

Maybe it's because I dpn't wear them new-fangled "fashionable" clothes.....or maybe it's because I'm brunette and pale-skinned?

Well, I am officially burned out.

I haven't been uploading any art lately, because, quite frankly, I haven't been doing any art. I have been sitting around playing Exile 3 (www.spidweb.com), listening to Sisters of Mercy and watching Full House and Roseanne reruns in my pajamas, and it's awesome yet boring.

I have been completely and utterly neglecting deviantart...how unlike me!

Truth be told, I just feel like taking a break from it all. I'm uninspired - not art block, per se, but art apathy. I just feel like...why even bother? I don't do vector art anymore, and vectaar is pretty much the reason 90% of my watchers watch me (the other 10% know me in real life, lol) so I don't wanna feel like I'm "disappointing" anyone.

There is so much talent out there, and I don't really feel like I can keep up. So I'm gonna sit this one out for a while and just watch from the sidelines.

I'll still be around, of course. I have several competitions and projects going on, and they will continue as scheduled, with one important modification.

I am going on vacation on January 1st. Voting for the Design a Character contest will begin January 1st, in the form of notes...note me with your pick for the winner. I will be checking my notes periodically while on vacay, and announce the winners on the 8th of January, when I return.

I will still be active in PE, and I WILL be available here if anyone needs to get a hold of me...I just won't be as "visible", shall we say.

This isn't meant to generate sympathy, pity post or whatever. It's just an FYI that I'm not really up to this and I'll be an hiatus for a little while. I could be a few days, it could be a month. We'll see how this turns out.

Well, I have finally snapped. But that's ok.

I've been promising to open this project to the public AFTER the Design-a-Character Contest, but what the heck. We all need more excitement in our lives.

So I present to you...The Talis Project!!! *w00t*

You may or may not have noticed that there's a list of angels and fallen angels in my shoutboard. I've gotten notes and comments asking about them. Well, all is about to be revealed.

This is a long freaking journal entry. But read it.

The Talis

Character Creation Info

-The Story-
No one knows exactly when the Angels came to Shayrin. They have been here for as long as the wisest scholars can surmise. They are mentioned in ancient texts. They have been depicted in the artwork of generations of artists. Most believe that they came to Shayrin many millennia ago, when they seven continents were just rocky landmasses. The Angels seeded the hard earth with life, and brought cooling rain to fill the oceans. They created the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air. Plants grew and flourished under their guidance, and Shayrin teemed with life.

The talis were created soon after. The talis are intelligent beings, and soon established dominance over Shayrin. They farmed its lands and tamed its animals. They formed large family units known as clans. Each clan was different; some were farmers on the open plains, some lived in arboreal cities in the jungles, and some were fishers on the coast. As the clans diversified, each clan took to honoring a different Angel, to bring them luck and prosperity. The Angels, in return, patronized a single clan each, and helped their clans in any way that they could.

This is the extent of what is commonly believed.

The truth is far more interesting.

The Angels are planar travelers. They had been exploring the cosmos for many centuries before they finally discovered the world of Shayrin, then still in its infancy. The beautiful world was just the place they had been seeking for some rest and relaxation. The Angels did not intend to stay in Shayrin for very long - they had originally planned to rest there for a while before continuing their journey.

Their timing was impeccable.

On the Angels' home plane, a group of Angels, dissatisfied with their lot, rose up against their ruler and their former friends. A dark and bloody battle raged. The Angels, refugeed on Shayrin, were safe for the time being, but dared not return, as they were reluctant to join into the battle halfway. They watched, and waited.

An angelic host, lead by the entity known as Metatron, managed to defeat the dissenters and banish them from the heavenly plane as punishment for their deeds. The Angels on Shayrin, pleased at this turn of events, tried to return home, only to find their way barred to them. They were told that their cowardice had marked them as traitors, and that they would need to earn their way back into the heavenly plane by gathering power for the angelic host. The minimonster777 FAQ!!!

1. I run a graphics group on MSN/Yahoo/whatever, and I would like to use your work for sigs, graphics tags, etc. Can we have permission to do this?

*sigh* I get an average of 4 of these emails per week. To make things easy I just send out the same form letter to everyone.

Thank you for your interest in my work! There are a
few groups who use my artwork for tags and sigs and
such, and I would be delighted to count you among
them. I only have a few requirements;

First of all, I would like my website and/or email
displayed on the piece.

Also, I would love to see any tags or sigs that people
make with my artwork! It isn't a "requirement" as
such, but I love seeing how creative people can get!
So let your members know that they can feel free to
send any copies of their work my way

Forgive me for the "coldness" of the form letter reply, but I give everyone the same answer, honestly. It used to be just easier to send out the form letter, but it would be EVEN easier if I didn't have like 20 of these clogging up my inbox.

2. Is Stabby Von Killerson your REAL name???

No, and neither is Christian Zombie Vampire, The Erotic Crustacian, Drag Me Across Your Open Wounds, Christmas Zombie, or Christmastopher Walken, or any of the other "names" I've had. I just use whatever tickles my fancy, and I change it every few weeks. My real name is Jenn.

3. Do you sell prints of your work?

Theoretically, yes. However, I find it more cost-effective to print things out myself at this point. Should there be overwhelming demand, I may one day purchase a DA print account and let them handle things for me, but the demand for prints hasn't been great at this point.

4. Do you do commissions?

Again, theoretically yes. I am currently in the process of setting prices and fixing my PayPal account, and when that's all done, I will officially open commissions up.

5. Do you do requests, collaborations, or art trades?

Actually, yes I do. I love drawing random "surprise" art for people, and I have a lot of fun with art trades too. You can request art by sending me a note on DA with the nature of your request, and if you are requesting a fanart of a specific character, please provide me with reference pics. The only thing about request art is that I do it in my own spare time and for my own enjoyment, so I cannot provide a specific time frame...I may be done within a day, I might not find time to do it for a week or so. If I feel that I cannot fulfill a request, I will let you know, though.

I know that I'm on a preachy community spiel right now, but I don't apologize for it. I don't have a lot of IRL friends, haha, and all of those people whom I do know in real life...are on deviantArt. And honestly, I interact more on DA than I do in that big room with the ceiling that is sometimes blue with a big glowy daystar and sometimes black with twinkly things. If DA goes down, well, I'll just have to become a myspace whore. And no one wants that.

Parte the Firste - Ye Olde Pimpage

First off, you all know that I'm a big fan of the random deviant/deviation button. Today I'd like to showcase just some of the talent I have found using that button and a few choice words in the search engine. No, not those kind of choice words.

Send 'em some love.

- I have a weakness for comic book art in general. When I was younger I used to buy X-Men comics by the dozens...they not sit moldering in my basement, even though I could probably get a good price for them on eBay. So when I saw this gallery, I was a very, very happy Jenn. I don't know why this dude isn't getting more exposure.

- Jessica's sleazy-erotic-awesome artwork is just my flavor Look at her entire gallery. I am tempted to add every single image to my favorites, seriously. If you're like me and like boyish and scantily-clad young girls, then this is the gallery for you.

- Ruth does amazing dress-up dolls, mostly KISS dolls. I am a big fan of KISS dolls which are usually, sadly, of rather poor quality. Ruth blows 'em all away. Even if you don't like KISS dolls, or even know what they are, you'll still enjoy her gallery.

- Bizarre, bizarre stuff, but it makes me happy.

- Lauren's blend of traditional realism and digital hyperrealism is a treat for the eyes. Her featured deviation "Masquerade" is what initially caught my eye, but her whole gallery is full of gems.

- Nekkeau's gallery looks to be inspired by HTK...and in this case, it's a good thing. Check this deviant out, they have oodles of talent!

Well, it is official. I am now a fully-fledged nocturnal creature. I wake up at 8pm and go to bed at 8am. It's semi-awesome and semi-horrible. Thank goodness Meijer is open 24 hours, huh?

However, I now have a lot of free time, which means that I can spend lots of that time doing what I like to do best - arting around and lurking around deviantArt. I FINALLY installed FireFox and a whole bunch of greasemonkey plugins, so now deviantart is looking hella-cool, what with all of these slick skins and these secret buttons and such...I spent all of last night flipping through the forums and through random deviations and deviants. I had a lot of fun - there is so much to see out there! I am excited...

It's funny though. So many people are upset with deviantArt tight now, for varied reasons, but I am having the best time - I am meeting so many new people, and creating the best art I have ever created...it makes me sad when people give up on something that needs their support...

Oh well. I'm here, and here to stay.

In other news....hey, I have no other news! My Cherry Coke is delicious and cold, my computer is zipping along, and the random deviation button is waiting....

Life and Stuff

All sorts of fun stuff going on right now.

Firstly, a last-minute decision to go get gas rather than go to WalMart on Black Friday resulted in me avoiding a brawl over laptops (the very laptop I was going there to purchase!!) which ended in several people being hospitalized. So thank you, empty gas tank. I will gladly pay an extra $100 for a laptop online to avoid brawls, and get free shipping.

Secondly, I didn't go to sleep until 9.30am. I stayed in bed until 4.15, bcause I had work at 5. It sucked because our furnace has been broken for a while and it's hovering around 10 degrees F right now. Bed was so warm and cozy though :3 Then I got up, realized that it was snowing out (yuk yuk yuk) and left early to drive to work through unplowed unincorporated Inverness. My truck has no antilock brakes for some reason, so I fishtailed my way to work. I don't mind fishtailing though, it's fun.

I went to Meijer this morning for some groceries at about 4am. I got a pair of sweatpants for $10 - that made me happy. I love warm cozy sweatpants. I also got tons of good nourishing food for the cold winter weeks ahead. I wore my leather - I never wear my leather, but it was definitely cold enough to warrant it. I felt like a biker chick. My leather rocks. Got a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Bagel at the McDonald's on the way home.

I am LOVING my new computer setup. Right now I'm working off of my brand-spanking-new-virus-free 250G hard drive :3 My 80G was full of arts, and also full of trojans that were let in when I mistakenly allowed my friend to install MSN messenger on my computer so that she could chat with her boyfriend who was overseas. But now I am cruising along, woohoo!

I need a haircut. Badly. My hair is skimming the beltline. While I like having long hair, it definitely needs a trim to tidy it up. Plus it needs a dye job, it's too many colors right now.

I have come to the conclusion that wearing a skimpy wench's outfit in midwinter is as close to hell as it gets. I'll be turning in my 2 week's notice soon, I can't work there anymore. As much as I like my job, I've really been working there for too long with no effect - by no effect, I mean no raises. I can make lots of money if I work 30-40 hours a week, but hell. That makes me cranky, and I'd rather be poor and happy and relaxed than rich but with no time to spend my wealth Plus I'm graduating soon, and I won't have time for wenching anymore.

I'm going to start accepting commissions through PayPal, but I have not even come close to figuring out a price range yet. So bear with me. I'll be doing these for my own enjoyment, so I don't think that they'll be too pricey.

IMPORTANT CONTEST UPDATES! PLEASE READ!

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS ENTERED! I am happy now!!!

I'm making a few minor changes to the rules. They are as follows:

♥ The original deadline was December First. I am now extending this deadline to January First, 2006 So you guys have one extra month to get your submissions in to me! Use your holiday breaks from school or work or whatever wisely, lol!

CONTEST RULES
The Character Design Contest!
This one is pretty simple - what I want from you guys are character designs! Now, you can submit full character sheets or turnarounds, or a simple character illustration. There are a few requirements;

*The submission must be of the full character. Head to toe. They can be posed any way you want (standing, lying down, crouching, whatever) but it must be a full character.

*The submission must be either full color or rendered greyscale - basically, if you don't want to color your character, then the character needs to be shaded with marker, pencil, or whatever. If you color the character, it can be flat color, cel-shaded, or fully rendered - whatever you wish

*The submission can be of any media - Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter, MS Paint, Traditional techniques....even sculpture, if you want! (If you do sculpture, I'll need to see views from multiple angles)

*The characters can be realistic, cartoony, anime, anthro.....anything you want! But it does need to be an original, new character - the character must have been concieved by you, and it needs to be an all-new character, preferably, or if you already have a character created that is perfect for the adjectives you choose, then it must be a new drawing. Don't just post a link to an image you submitted half a year ago, in other words

*You can enter as many times as you like. However, only ONE of your images is eligable to place (see below).

Gaarrr - I am blah.

Well, I have been playing SCIII when I'm at home...and I'm pretty okay at it, lol. My thumbs hurt, as does my neck (from lying on the floor with my feet on the wall and a pillow under my head).

I am ensaddened because I was invited to go hang out with friends on Sunday....and I was happy because I was actually going to interact with other human beings...but then something came up and they wanted to switch to tomorrow instead, and I'm working all day tomorrow....oh well I'm sure that work will be just as much fun.

Speaking of work, I was told when I came in today that they didn't need me to work downstairs, so I was happy and started to read, and then five minutes before they opened downstairs, they told me "oh, btw, they decided that they DO need you downstairs" so I had to go get changed into a costume super quick and ended up running through the arena with half of the skirt hitched up and tucked into my corset, lol! Luckily I noticed before anyone saw and rectified the situation.

Is anyone else disturbed by the fact that Voldo is wearing a thong?

I am not in a particularly good mood these days. I blame it on the weather - cold weather always gets me down. I just feel a little isolated from "the outside world" - I spend all of my days either asleep, on the internetless computer, or at work, and all of my nights are spent either asleep or playing video games. I think that the last time I went anywhere to hang out with people was in August for Misty's birthday....before that, not including the time I went to Pete and Misty's a couple of weeks before that...let's see...I went to the mall for an hour or two with Stef, Adrienne, Ben, Alex, and Sean sometime in July during lunch....god, I can't even remember the last time before that. Maybe sometime last year? I suppose that it's not a HUGE deal, I'm used to not really having a lot of friends outside of school, but I get lonely during the winter months. Don't get me wrong, David is great, but sometimes I just feel left out of the whole social life thing :\ I dunno, maybe I'm just being a whiner...

Arr, I should go and do something productive, and get some sleep. I have a long day of being rude to customers ahead of me!
