My dad went out today to pay a visit to his friend and occasional boss (dad does work for him whenever he can), Carlos. He just called us, and told us that Carlos was asking about the family and how we're all doing. He was asking about my job and school, and dad told him about my job and that I'm trying to save up for school.

So Carlos told dad that he wants me to enroll in classes for January, and he'll pay for it.

I'm so astonished and in complete shock right now. This guy that I've only met once wants to pay for me to go to school for a semester, because he says that, "You can keep your part-time job if you want, but your education is more important."

I'm about dead right now. I don't even know what to think, ahaha. The only thing going through my head is, "Oh my god, WOW."

So I have to find that coursebook for Longview and start looking at what classes I want to take. This is absolutely crazy; I'm kind of crying.

Ohhhhh gosh. I'm okay, I swear. XD; Just wanted to give you guys a brief update. @_@;;;

1) 1 (Roxanne) and 5 (Demetris) wake up next to each other and naked. How do they react and what might have happened the night before?

-God only knows what happened. Roxanne is definitely not Demetris' type, so he was probably drunk. She probably wasn't. Roxanne is probably either mortified, or doesn't realize what's going on, and Demetris' only reaction would be a quick -face/palm- before getting dressed and leaving.

2) 3 (Dimitri) establishes a restaurant but needs some help. Who could be the cook? Who the barman? And who the waiter? Should 9 (Alec) or 7 (Aeolus) be the doorman?

-Titania would probably be the cook, since she loves cooking and is pretty good at it. Caden has the potential to be a good bartender. Aeolus would definitely be the better choice for doorman. He's much more polite.

3) 6 (Kris) and 1 (Roxanne) want to badmouth 7 (Aeolus) in his/her presence. How will they do that?

-There's nothing bad to be said about Aeolus. o_o; Why would they want to badmouth him?

4) 2 (Caden) is attacked in an alley. Who comes to their rescue? 5 (Demetris), 8 (Angora) or 3 (Dimitri)?

-Out of those three? Dimitri. He'd play the savior pretty well, blind or not.

5) 5 (Demetris) is moving to a new city and therefore throws a big party. Who out of 1 (Roxanne), 4 (Titania), 9 (Alec) and 10 (Melania) would most likely NOT drink any alcohol to give the others a ride home?

-Titania. She's the least likely to drink in ANY situation, and the others would all probably get shitfaced. She's the responsible one in this group. XD

6) 5 (Demetris) is in a car crash, how does 8 (Angora) react?

-She'd probably be very concerned and visit him in the hospital (since that's where she works). But since she doesn't really know him personally, she would probably only visit him once, then ask Carmen how he's doing all the time.

7) 7 (Aeolus) and 4 (Titania) go camping, but forget to bring any food. What do they do?

-Why...why would they go camping together? O_o;

8) 10 (Melania) has to marry either 4 (Titania) , 3 (Dimitri), or 9 (Alec). Who do they choose?

-The choice is obviously Alec, because she's not a lesbian OR incestuous. I think she'd have fun with Alec, anyway.

9) 7 (Aeolus) has to stay at either 5 (Demetris) or 4 (Titania)Âs house. Who do they choose?

-Titania. He'd probably be afraid of Demetris.

10) 10 (Melania) writes a passionate signed love-letter to 1 (Roxanne) without mentioning 1 (Roxanne)Âs name. But before the love-letter reaches 1 (Roxanne), 3 (Dimitri) finds it and thinks it is for him/her. What actions does 10 (Melania) take?

-...Uhhhh...what? XD Melania would never write a love-letter to Roxanne, and Dimitri certainly would never think it was for him, since she's his mom. End of story.

*Operation-Mindcrime did this room meme thing where you show off your living room, but instead of taking pictures, she did a video, which is a pretty bomb idea, if you ask me. I decided to do one, too, with a little of her prompting, but since my room consists mostly of a bed, a bookshelf, and a whole ton of crap, I decided to do my living room instead, which is decidedly more interesting and also slightly cleaner. Slightly.

What a lot of you don't know is that I have a lot of friends in the Philippines; these are people that - while I may only know them online - are very important and mean a lot to me. I hate to see that while all of us are going on with our every ...day lives, partying and laughing and having fun, that these people are struggling for their lives because of Hurricane Ondoy and the typhoons that have hit that area to hard. Many people have died, and I'd loathe to think that any of them could possibly be my friends.

Yanked from *Operation-Mindcrime, 'cause I saw it on her journal and it looked like LOADS of fun. It also got me wondering about my characters.

These sorts of questions kind of fascinate me, so I figured I'd give this a shot. I don't know how interested anyone really is to know this much about my characters, but I know I don't really talk about them nearly as much as a should, so maybe they're all a mystery to you after all. xD Oh well. Enough talking!

I'll probably start with one or two of my favorites and then add more over the next few days while my vacation laziness is wearing off. XD

Evellyn Abigail Kipur
1) I don't quite remember how I thought of Evee's name. She's been around for a LONG time, and I think her name really just kind of popped into my head when I came up with her. It ended up suiting her really well, later. The name 'Evelyn' means beauty or radiance, and I also read somewhere that it can also mean songbird in some languages? I don't know. xD 'Abigail' means father's joy, which she really is to her father, whom I haven't talked about at all, sooooo...yeah. Kipur is just a random name. <3
2) Um. Crap, I don't know. I was on a character creating kick, and originally Evee developed as an overly-precocious six-year-old girl. XD It was actually a really funny start, and I love that young version of her still to this day. I might have to write some flash-back stories for everyone to get a good idea of just how much of a bitch she was at six. XD After visiting my family over the weekend, though, I realized that Evee really resembles my older sister in personality, so that's probably where she initially, sub-consciously came from.
3) Evellyn hasn't really changed much over time. She's still developing as a person as I continue to learn and grow, but she's stayed mostly the same. Obviously her six-year-old self and 22-year-old self are significantly different, but she's become less of a bitch since growing up. XD
4) Evee is, by far, my favorite character. She has a lot of qualities that I want to have as a person, and really reminds me a lot of my older sister Jessica. She hardly ever gets angry or upset because she's so upbeat and care-free most of the time. She loves music, and loves being a pirate. Shiny, expensive-looking objects are kind of a weakness for her.

Dimitri Adrastos Tiachie
1) 'Mitri's name came from me watching Anastasia one winter afternoon a few years ago. xD It's funny, because I had been considering and thinking about the character for a long time, and while watching Anastasia, I kind of just decided to call him Dimitri. Anyway, I believe we have an official name for our cosplay group. :3 As of right now, we are The Marionette Cosplay Troupe (Marionette Cosplay or Marionette Troupe for short). Everyone in the group seems to like it, so for now, that's what we're sticking with. If need-be, we can establish a different name later on after we've completed a full cosplay together. XD

I think that's really all I wanted to say. If the name sticks, I'll be making a dA account for group updates and stuff. Probably a LJ comm for us, too. Keep an eye out for those, if you care. :3

So I started watching Haruhi Suzumiya today because I was really inspired by the cosplays of *behindinfinity and the Tuxedo Team, as well as *Majin-sama and *kayleighloire. Thanks to these wonderfully amazing people, I decided to give the series a decent try.

It took an honest amount of patience to get through the first episode (seriously, Mikuru Beam?), but after seeing the second episode, I think I might have found a new - if only short-term - love.

I'm only two episodes into the series (the first season is only 14 episodes long?), so would it be wrong to proclaim that I already think my favorite character is going to be Yuki? XD She's adorable, and the way she responded to Kyon in the second (technically first) episode was waaaay amazing. "It could get serious annoying." - "It's fine." - "You might even be kicked out!" - "No problem."

Anyway, I just wanted to kind of shamelessly plug that I think Haruhi Suzumiya and her SOS Brigade are kind of awesome, even if I'm only on the third episode, and also I wanted to tell everyone to go read Fairy Cube! It's a short but sweet 18 chapter series by Kaori Yuki, who also wrote Godchild, the Cain Saga, and Angel Sanctuary. It's amazing, so please give it a try!

EDIT!: So I just finished the fifth episode of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Yuki is still my favorite, but she may have some competition from Nagato soon, haha. XD

My friends Dean and ~Nora-Suki were the first to arrive; Dean wanted to have a movie party, and it just so happened that he was free on my birthday, so that's what we planned. ~ArianaUchiha was really late but that's okay I forgive her. XD Haha. <3 And Nicky was even later, so she missed most of The Grudge (haha, why did we watch that again?)

We ate pizza rolls and chips and drank soda and had cake and it was jolly gud tiemz. Then the girls (mostly ~ArianaUchiha and ~TakaraSasaki) decided it would be a good idea to smear frosting on each other and lick it off...in front of the guys. XDD Ahaha, yeah.

So anyway, it was fun tiemz. Not much interesting stuff happened, but it was good. Tiffy gave me this bracelet she made, and ~ArianaUchiha apparently made something for me too but she left it at home. XD And Nicky gave me ten dollars.

Then the day after my birthday my mom gave me a bracelet, necklace, and this convertible strapless dress/skirt...because she forgot to give them to me on my birthday. Which was kind of lame of her. But anyway, that's about it for the birthday update. Saturday we had some friends over for a mini barbecue type thing, and Sunday after mom and dad got home from church, we went out to IHOP for breakfast and it was freaking delicious. XD Haha, then mom, ~TakaraSasaki and I went to Powell Gardens. I took lots of pretty pictures that I'll have to steal from mom and put up sometime. Just...sometime. XD

I'm turning 18 on Friday! I'm kind of excited, although it's not like it's a huge landmark or anything. I have three more years before I can drink. The only thing that turning 18 means is that I can vote, gamble, and buy cigarettes, and I don't care about any of those things. XD

So, yeah. I don't know. Turning 18 is supposed to be a big milestone, right? I just don't feel it. But maybe I will, once Friday turns around. The only thing I feel right now is excitement for my birthday, which is stupid since I won't really be getting anything. XD

A quest to find a good manga series to read.

The reason for this is, everything that I've been reading is either ended (Hellsing, Saiyuki, Tsubasa, xxxHolic) or is updating sporadically and getting near to ending (Bleach).

I want to try something new, but I don't know where to start. Of course I hear all the time of these really good series that are new, but of course when I want to read them I forget what they're called.

So what do you guys suggest? I've been considering reading through Fruits Basket, since that's a series I used to read but never finished. I've also been considering trying Code Geass or Samurai Deeper Kyo or something like that, but I kind of want to know what you guys think is good.

Anyway, I guess I'm just in the mood to try something new, so let me know what you guys think I should read!

Why do I say this?

Because I just got home from my first car accident, which was possibly one of the most terrifying moments of my life.

No, I was not driving the car. I was in the passenger seat, and my friend Tammy was driving. Our friend Sami was in the back. We were all wearing our seat belts and everyone is fine, but it was very, very frightening.

What happened:

Tammy was driving me to work. We were THERE, right at the business entrance to Worlds of Fun. The car was going a little too fast, we turned a little too late, and we hydroplaned right into the rear tire axle of a Fed-Ex truck.

The truck is fine. Our car is not.

My sweet, sweet Dodge Intrepid got wedged under the side of the truck. The driver's side door, windshield, and nose of the car were all crunched. The airbags did NOT deploy. Dx

We're all fine, as I said, but seriously shaken up. I'm still crying (seriously!) and Tammy could, unfortunately, get into some serious trouble for this.

I called my boss to let her know what happened, and this is kind of how the conversation went:

Boss: Well, are you okay?
Me: Yeah, we're all okay. A little shaken, but okay.
Boss: Do they still need you there, or can you walk on in?
Me: Sorry?
Boss: Do they still need you up there, or can you come in to work?
Me: Um...I think they still need me up here...
Boss: For what? The police report or something?
Me: Uh...yeah...
Boss: Well, whatever. When they get done, I need you to come on in to work.

And then she hung up on me.

Newsflash for my boss (and anyone else who didn't already know): Just because I'm not injured, doesn't mean that I'm OKAY.

I haven't stopped crying since we got out of the car. Tammy should probably be dead right now. I'm not hurt, but I'm NOT okay.

Anyway, I figured that I'd let all of you know in case any of you watch my Twitter or saw my Myspace or Facebook status recently.

I'm graduating TODAY. Really. Leaving high school forever. Taking my diploma and not looking back. This is supposed to be important, right? A big time in my life. They tell us, "You can graduate from college as many times as you want to, but you only graduate from high school once."

This is a BIG DEAL.

But I don't feel like it is.

No one has really done anything or said anything to make this feel like a big deal. I have no family or friends coming in from out of town to see me graduate, even though the ceremony is supposed to be this big, fancy, epically extravagant thing. The two people that I really would have liked to see come, well...they aren't. My older brother and sister, the two people that have mattered to me most in my almost eighteen years of life. I went to their graduations, but they can't come to mine.

Or maybe it's not that they can't. I'm sure they could if they really really tried. A drive from Minnesota to Missouri isn't THAT bad; we do it a couple times a year. And a drive from Indiana to Missouri? I'm sure that it's about the same.

The point is, the people that I look up to most and the people that have influenced me the most in life, aren't going to be at my graduation ceremony. I'm not having a party. My step-mom made the cake (which is pink and two different shades of white, with sprinkles). We didn't have the money to send out announcements or invitations. I haven't gotten a single card or letter from sister brother or grandmother saying Congratulations! or You did it! or We're proud of you!

My step-mom is the only one that's even bothered to say how proud she is. My biological mom isn't going to be there. I got nine tickets to graduation. Three went to the family living in the house, and three went to friends. I can't find anyone to take the last three, because no one cares.

This whole thing has been downplayed so much that I don't even want to go tonight. I just want to take my diploma now and sit at home tonight and play video games or sleep.

Not to mention I'm sick and my dad is having surgery tomorrow and we're not even going out some place nice for dinner. We'll probably get home from graduation and mom will say, "What do you want to eat?" and I'll say, "Shit, what the fuck does it matter? I'm out of high school and no one gives a fuck. Let's eat junk food and ignore each other for the rest of the night. Oh by the way, thanks for the cake."

I don't want to sound ungrateful, but mom's the only one who cares. How am I supposed to feel happy about this when no one else does?

Is it just me, or does tonight seem like it will be a complete waste of my time? Because if it will be, I don't even want to go.

You tell yourself, "Well, that sure seems like a waste of money since those delicious and exciting flavors are now gone and I didn't even get to taste them. Oh well, at least I still have my vanilla!"

You take one lick of your vanilla, and then it falls into the dirt/sand/mud/large body of water, too.

You're seriously disappointed now, but you decide to try it again and go to buy another ice cream cone.

Just to find out that the shop is now closed.

And then someone runs by and steals your purse/wallet.

And then your car breaks down on the way home.

P.s. Has anyone (other than ~Nora-Suki ) heard of a book called "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime"? It's the last book we're reading in English this year - the last book we're reading for a high school English class AT ALL - and it's about a 15-year-old boy in England that has Autism. Or rather, it's narrated by him, and the book is a murder-mystery...of sorts.

It's a really great book, and I like it a lot. I can't recall the author's name at the moment, but it's copyright 2003 so it's fairly recent.

I'm super hyperly excited because:

1. My wifey ~Kaykuyo is coming to visit me todaaaay...when she gets out of school she's driving down here to see me. DDD And she's going to spend the weekend in KC visiting the SIGHTS. YAAAAAAAY *throws a party*

2. I fixed my iPod. How did I manage that, you ask? It's kind of a long story, but let's just say I was falling apart without it, because CD players just don't do it for me anymore (they're way too big and song options are limited when you've got 14 songs on a CD all by the same artist and the only way you're going to get some variety is by creating mix CD's or carrying around your entire CD collection with you, which is inconvenient because I hardly listen to any of the music on my CD's, it's all stuff I don't have CD's of)...so I've got this "YAY MY WIFEY IS COMING TO SEE MEEEEE" playlist on my iPod to listen to aaaaaallllll daaaaaaayyyy.....

and

3. My friend Nicky is coming to spend the night tonight so she can meet my wifey who shares the same name. :3 We're all going to go to Perkins at midnight or later (whenever she gets here) and have a partaaaaaay. ^____^ PARTAAAAAY.

I started the New Year off with a bang, getting a beautiful necklace from my boyfriend and staying up allllll night (actually, I still haven't gone to bed yet.)

I went shopping this morning with mom and dad and now I'm finally getting my hair dyed red again like I've wanted for so long. :3 I'm super excited. I'm just waiting kind of impatiently now for the dye to develop so I can go wash it out...*squee*

Anyway, I hope everyone's New Year has started out alright; I know mine did. Once I rinse the dye out of my hair and let it dry a little, I'm probably gonna hit the sack for a couple hours so I can be rejuvenated and awake for some good-quality gaming later. ^_^

That, and I want to live up the rest of my vacation; I go back in FIVE DAYS.

I'm not seriously dreading it, but it would be a lie to say that I'm happy vacation's almost over. I'm graduating this year, you know? I think Senioritis is starting to kick in...they spoiled me with this break and now I don't want to go back at all! XD <3

Christmas was just as awesomely spectacular as Christmas Eve.

Dad invited over this guy that he works with, some 27-year-old kid who was otherwise going to spend Christmas alone playing video games and being generally lonely.

So dad told Jason to bring his 360 and games along with him and that Taka and I could give him some company while he played.

So Jason brought over his 360, and basically what ended up happening is we played Rock Band all day. For real.

I started on bass while Jason was on lead, then he took a break and let me play solo for a while. I finally got ~TakaraSasaki to join me and then the three of us ended up playing, Jason and I trading off on vocals and lead guitar.

It was uber fun. That's the first time I've played Rock Band, to be honest, and I like it so much more than guitar hero now. I love it, and I really want it. LOLOL.

Dinner wasn't much, it wasn't extremely festive or anything, but we had a ham, so it was all good. XD <3

Sadly, there is a downside to all of this (other than Jason taking Rock Band with him when he left, CRY); my kitten is sick.

She's about nine months old now, and for the past four or five days she been vomiting everyday, sometimes twice a day.

At first we just thought maybe she was eating too much "people food" so we stopped feeding her table scraps and just left her to her own food, but I haven't really seen her eat or drink in a few days, and she's become much more lethargic and depressed.

I know she ate a little today, but she threw up most of it right after dinner. When we brought her downstairs, she vomited nothing but bile on the kitchen floor then ran to the living room and continued.

I'm really worried about her. She's wrapped in a blanket sleeping in my lap right now, and I wrote down a list of symptoms or otherwise odd thing that I noticed and gave it to my mom. She works next to a vet, so she's going to take it next door tomorrow while she's at work and see if she can find out what's wrong with my baby.

She's usually so selective about when she wants my attention, but tonight she's been so docile. Usually she'd struggle if I tried to check her teeth or look at her eyes but tonight she's just kind of sitting there looking at me with no protests.

I'm worried. I've never had a cat, so I don't know what to do when they're sick. D:

I know I told a lot of people that I was drawing stuff for them, and if you were one of those people I apologize sincerely. I'm afraid that in the spirit of Christmas I got so caught up in spending time with my family (although I don't think any of you can blame me for that) and I'm not sure I'll ever finish anything I started this year. XD

My Christmas Eve was wonderful and I'm anticipating a wonderful Christmas as well.

It's sort of a tradition for my sister and I (and the rest of the family, I guess) to open all of our presents on Christmas Eve so that way we have all day on Christmas to play with them, and we don't have to wait for the rest of the family to wake up to open them.

I got bunches of neat stuff, including a couple of nice shirts, a really sexy jean skirt/jacket duo, a pajama set, a ceramic rabbit that matches my Japanese tea set, an awesome painting that a friend of the family did, and more. :3

I spent the day playing the Wii with my family and then the evening after opening presents playing Monopoly (that was one of my Christmas gifts; I requested it specifically. XD)

So in other words, my Christmas Eve has been great and tomorrow will be just as splendid, and I wish the best for all of you my watchers and friends. I hope you have a spectacular holiday season and that the season brings you much, much joy and happiness like mine has. <3

(I think the best present I received tonight was the announcement and promise from my step-mom...no, my mom...that she was finally going to stop smoking. There was more contained in that promise, including that my sister and I would both be getting contacts within the next few weeks and that I would be getting my hair done before school started back up again, but I'm just so happy that my mom has finally decided to start taking care of herself. My biggest hope of all now is that once my dad sees her cutting back on the cigarettes that maybe he'll be pressured to stop as well, and we can all start living healthier and happier lives.)

I went to my front page and wanted to hurl.

I couldn't stand looking at the ugliness of that journal entry.

I think the only reason I wrote it was to get it out. I feel so calm now, so perfectly calm like I did before I wrote all of that. So calm it's almost like I've detached, like something in my brain switched off.

I couldn't stand the ugliness of the words I'd written to my once-best friend. Why? Because in my heart and in my mind I know now that she doesn't deserve my thoughts, much less my words. I don't want to be nice to her anymore. I don't want to go buy her a Christmas gift and leave it on her front step (I'm amazed now that I had even considered it before).

I don't want to do anything even concerning her because I don't hate her but I certainly don't care about her anymore.

I'm tired of wasting my emotional dollars on such a disgusting, heartless person.

This shit started some time ago (I don't even know when, I don't care, I'm just too pissed about it still) when my best friend who had been living with us for about a month decided to move back in with her family. I was happy for her because she made the decision on her own, and even though I was slightly wary of it because, well, gee, she's my friend and I want to protect her and help her, I was happy for her. I wasn't mad or anything, I'm not that kind of person. I was trying to be as supporting as possible, talking to her everyday, asking how things were going, then it kind of seemed like out of the blue she decided that I wasn't fit to be her friend anymore. She laid all this shit on me about how I was mistreating her, how I was a mean, bitchy, intimidating person and how I was a bad friend and she felt like maybe we should stop talking for a while. I told her that was fine, whatever she thought was best, I really wasn't all that upset about it. I couldn't really PROCESS at the time what was happening. Then her mom called me like five minutes later and told me never to have anything to do with her daughter anymore. Don't look at her, don't talk to her, don't even think about her.

Okay, well, this nameless ex-friend of mine is 18 and frankly I think her mother needs to stop trying to fight her battles for her, but all I said to her mom was "Yeah, alright." And then she had the nerve to tell me to "Have a nice day" before she hung up on me. Whatever. By now, I'm over the incident. It stings; I lost a friend. I have a hole in my life because she was really important and special to me as all of my friends are, and I really shared some personal things with her about my life and things I hadn't told anyone before. And suddenly she kind of turned on me.

After that, things just kind of went to hell and somehow kept getting worse. But then they started to even out, I felt like things weren't exactly better but the bad had stopped and I kind of just felt at peace with life.

I got my dress for Cardinal Chorale and I love it so much, even though it needs to be altered and mom doesn't like it (what's up with that?). Our school football team made it to state (the state game was on Friday but I still don't know how it went) and our Thanksgiving went really well. Wednesday I didn't have school and even though a minor bad thing happened...my psychiatrist appointment (the first one) got canceled because apparently the doctor doesn't work the week of holidays, but we never got notice of the canceling. I was kind of upset about that. I had been preparing myself for it and kind of looking forward to maybe having someone to talk to for once, but then...nope. We're still kind of baffled as to why the stupid idiot would even bother scheduling an appointment for the week of a holiday if she knew she wouldn't be working.

Wednesday night we went and saw a fireworks show and had dinner at Taco Bell. While we were there we realized my sister lost her phone at the park where the show was held so we had to drive back out there and look for it. We found it just fine and went home. Thanksgiving was good, we had a good meal and good family time, and Friday was equally good.

Saturday dad took my sister and I to Blockbuster to get some movies to rent and then afterward we picked up some Chinese food and had dinner. We were all kind of happy that things were looking up because a while back my dad had done some work for a guy, and after what I think was going on two months the guy still hadn't paid him. Dad went to the guy's house with a police escort to try to find out why the man hadn't paid him and found out that the man has a huge record of things like this; apparently he filed bankruptcy, got a divorce, and was in the process of moving out when my dad showed up. The officer just patted his shoulder and apologized, telling him that he had already been out there three other times that week for the same sort of thing. Then my dad was supposed to get a check from the IRS, however when it came in the dollar amount and signature had been torn off. No, it didn't even look like an accident. Only those two, crucial pieces of information had been torn off of the check, and when we received it in the mail, in a plastic bag, there was no sign of the other pieces. That was our money for Christmas shopping, apparently, and now we won't have it until January.

Yesterday night, my mom's wallet was stolen out of her purse at work and the person who stole it took her credit card to the Target across the street from my mom's work and spent more than $700 there. I was infuriated. I still am. I haven't thought about him for a few weeks now. I don't cry when I think about him anymore. I still care about him, but I think that if I ever had the chance to see him or talk to him again, I'd pass it up.
