Apparently, I can't go even two months without some sort of problem with any of my technocrap. Scratch that, one month. Apparently, Gin-chan has more issues than a 25-minute battery life.

First off, I have a forty GB hard drive, but apparently, there's only 13 GB worth of free space on it, even after clearing up all the programs that were left by Gin-chan's previous owner. Trust me, I know this because I spent the morning deleting programs, and the afternoon trying to reinstall the sound card that I accidently erased from existence.

What's worse is that Gin-chan has to be fragmented every month at the max. Most computers only need it every three to six months, but noooooooooooo, not mine!
After taking part in what is starting to become this massive steal chain, I came up with a Zoid concept that is both original and somewhat official. Surprisingly enough, the idea received a lot of props, despite the idea being a mere side note. In my previous journal, which can be found here: [link] the subject was on Zoids (duh), and covering some of one's preferences and history.

Anyway, when I had to figure out what Zoid I would pilot, I had a hard time choosing (and not just choosing between one or two). As you all know, Mugen Liger's an immediate "hell yes" (look at my avatar and be awed by its awesomeness, newcomers!), but when it comes to practicality, Mugen's not exactly a good choice, as its sole weapons are all close range or melee.

Practically, I would probably be using an Energy Liger (the Hasbro/Guylos Black), and that on its own has more than enough firepower (with only two weapons, mind you!) to take down a small squad of foes by itself. With max speed of 412.8 mph (yes, I did the conversions, damnit), nuclear generators, and a wide range of customization and hard points available, I <3<3<3<3 it. However, since I'm not using the Fuzors version of it, E-Liger has a HUGE flaw. I don't know if it's common knowledge or not, but the Energy Liger has an operation time of exactly 5 minutes. Not exactly my idea of my personal mount. Also, the Imperial Liger also lacks (to an extent) melee capability, as most of its weapons or that type are realistically hard to use.

Now, I was just thinking on a tangent here, but what if I could throw Mugen Liger and Energy Liger together? It isn't that unrealistic, as I made 7 different E-Liger variants (a few of them required multiple Energy Ligers. Though I didn't take pictures of them, these are the configurations.

HAS, (Heavy Artillery System, featuring Death Stinger's CPC and tail weapons, Fire Phoenix's leg cannons among others, for long-range, devastation bombardments);
GBX, (GunblasterX, featuring, multiple E-Liger weapons, some of Gunblaster's Rolling Cannon armaments, among others, for long-range, suppressive fire/precision attacks);
KWX, (Konig WolfX, featuring E-Liger stripped of all armor, replaced with some of KW's armor and jump boosters, for max speed);
CU, (Commander Unit, basically a slightly heavier armored E-Liger without the horn and with Elephander's chest guns on);
CPX, (Chimera PhoenixX, featuring a fusion between E-Liger and virtually every BLOX component I had, for firefights);
RF, (Retro-Fitted, customizing the wing/stabilizers, armor, and mounting Flyscissor's X-Breakers on it, more like a personal unit);
Omega, (The only E-Liger variant never finished, featured Berserk Fuhrer's Buster Claws, HAS, GBX, RF, and CU units).

So I thought, if I could do that, why couldn't there be a mixture between Mugen and Energy Liger? At first, I merely thought of adding some of Mugen's armor and its katanas to E-Liger, but now that I read the comments from my previous journal, I feel like actually attempting a full merge between the two. Of course, I have to use either DoGA or Metasequoia, but I actually want to try to attempt this. This will be the first time since I have joined DA that I have tried working with pre-made, "official" designs, even though I'm fusing two of them. Well, wish me luck!

I stole this idea from , who stole it from , hope neither of them mind. Since I've left the realm of Zoids alone for a long, long, time, I felt that it was only right to give them the attention they deserve.

First Zoid:
My first Zoid, if I remember correctly, was a Hasbro Zaber Fang, which somehow disappeared, except for one or two of its parts. After that, I started getting more Zoids (both BLOX and regular, usually the Liger/Tiger/Fury sized ones).

Favorite Zoid:
Ah, crap, here we go. Well, favorites from all of the Zoids that I've seen, Mugen Liger, hands down (come on, look at my avatar), followed by Berserk Fuhrer, Konig Wolf, Liger Zero, Blade Liger, Pteramander, and I'm going off topic, but they're all a close second. Model wise, Energy Liger (also one of my favorites.

Favorite release/line:
Honestly, I don't really care as any Zoid from any line is better than none.

Holy Grail:
Again, ah crap. If I absolutely had to choose... I hate my life, I can't choose. All Zoids would be my Holy Grail (especially if I wound up customizing them). Hell, all mecha are my Holy Grail (with some exceptions).

Zoid(s) I'd pilot:
Besides the Zoids I design? Well, odds are, they're going to be heavily customized... Off the top of my head, Mugen Liger, Energy Liger (merge them together and hell yes, I have my main unit), Konig Wolf, Berserk Fuhrer, Pteramander, Buster Eagle, (I'm not going to go any farther into BLOX, as every single one I got was fused with all the others). Basically speed with a mix of both close and long range, usually with strong weapons.

Favorite series:
All of them, minus Fuzors, as I never got to finish it.

Stuff I'd like to see in the newest lines:
Remakes of EVERYTHING from beginning to end (although I have heard rumors that the Zoids line has been ended permanently).

Misc:
I wish I could have all of my old Zoids back and some of the ones that I have never obtained. Odds are, I would still be tinkering and customizing them to no end. And as I have seen awesome paintjobs and customs on here, I would be attempting to do the same.

uber cybernetic cookie to whoever knows where the title came from

Yeah, I'm sick (as much as I hate to admit it), and despite all of my protesting, I'm now stuck in my bed with only Gin-Chan connecting me to the outside world. Normally, students try to feign sickness to skip school. I try to fight my sickness to continue going to school. Kind of ironic, isn't it? Especially when the person saying this is the only person (or one of very few people) that normally wear outfits made famous by the people that fight the system (trenchcoat, tripp pants, chains, all of them black obviously, the works).

So my symptoms started showing up on Tuesday, the day when my fashion teacher called in sick (for the same reason apparently), and it took the staff all the way to Thursday morning to convince me to go home. At that point, it got really bad (the sickness). My symptoms are currently:

-Massive Headache
-Really Painful Cough (both dry and producing)
-Runny Nose
-Mucus in the Lungs
-General Pain All Over My Body (from sleeping)

In the case of the last one, from Tuesday to now, I've slept for about 60 hours in a more or less uninterrupted phase. It's probably a lot more, but I don't remember that much. Anyway, I'm confined here with my sick self, and virtually nothing to do today (more like forbidden to do anything that requires me to get out of bed). I hate my life...

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a very important announcement to make. As you all know, my beloved Shelia (my laptop) broke a few months back, her screen faltering and going dark. After being passed around from person to person, she is now finally resting in peace (and in pieces). She was a good laptop, though she did have her problems (namely running Vista with 512 MB of RAM among others), and I can truly say that I loved her in a sense.

However, she is now forever gone, disappearing without a single farewell. I will admit I had no immediate plans on fixing her, and instead buying another laptop, but alas, even that didn't work out as planned. Since I had only raised around two hundred dollars, and the Acer Inspire One that I was looking at (which I had already decided on calling "Chibi") escalated to $350, there was no physical way that I could gather the sufficient funds to purchase the mini-laptop in a reasonable time span.

When I came home though, Shelia was gone. In her place was another laptop, not Chibi, but a silver Toshiba. Though not as new and as fast as the Inspire One, a laptop is a laptop nevertheless, and I don't plan on complaining or looking the gift horse in the mouth.

So, to make things short, I got a new (used) Toshiba brand laptop (Toshiba because my mom heard that they were the most durable), hereby named "Gin-Chan" (Japanese for 'silver' plus the honorific ending for a girl). I can't name her Chibi because she isn't that small. The Acer can literally fit on my wrist if I made Velcro straps for it. Gin-Chan's a bit thinner than Shelia, but a bit longer as well. I don't know the exact specs of this laptop (though she did tell me that she has about 40 GB of memory), but I just hope that it can keep up with me, as I am currently downloading and reinstalling the programs I used to have.

I have died and gone to the high school equivilant of otaku heaven. I don't know if it was pure concidence, or if the time that I have spent alone from the rest of the social world was all leading to this moment, but one thing is certain. As the last words of the final episode of 00 Gundam's second season read, my "childhood" (in many senses) has come to an end.

There's two ways to say this. For those of you who just want the blunt version, I've joined an anime club. However, that barely scratches the surface of the true beauty of this fact. Normally, I wouldn't read into anything this much, but the way that all of this happened is just too weird to ignore.

Ironically, I went to school this morning wearing my Shinigami kimono and hakama (the haori was too much), not because I knew of any anime club, but because 1): I haven't worn the things in a while, and 2): my traditional look (tripp pants and trench coat) needed to be left at Fashion so I could begin the activities that the class had in store for them. Since they (my Death God garb) were the first thing I saw, I thought "why the hell not?"

To make things even more significant, when I arrived at my high school (I go to a vocational school in the morning and go to high school around 10-ish), I noticed a flyer on the stairwell wall about this anime club. I never saw any of these flyers beforehand, and if I did, I never looked at them twice. However, today was different.

The flyer said the place and time, and *gasp* the first meeting was today, approximatly two hours from when I'm typing at this very moment. Normally, I would have just said "this is impossible, I didn't make any arrangements," and all that happy stuff. But today, it didn't matter what the hell it said, it was the equivilant of the "letter" that Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion received from his father, telling him to come to Tokyo-3 (OMG I'm making anime references like I'm some sort of otaku...wait a minute).

Thankfully, my friend Zack saw this and said that he would come too. At first, I thought that it wasn't nessercary, but it was due to him that I was actually able to attend. If he didn't, I wouldn't have had a ride home from his kind mother, and since my parents work into the night and I don't know my brother's phone number, I would have been sunk any other way. Oddly enough, he actually enjoyed it. I never figured him to be the anime type.

Anyway, I arrive at where the club meeting is being held, and lo and behold, people started flowing in. I never thought that there were so many people into anime in my school (hence why I never advertised my obsession/passion for it). I was expecting maybe four or five people. We had over triple that amount. Hell, if we had any more people arrive, we would have needed a bigger classroom. Apparently, if you announce it, they WILL come.

And my mind was blown away from the boy/girl ratio. There were three guys (me and my friend included) there. Everyone else was a girl, and most of them were of the fangirl variety. I always assumed that the majority of anime fans were male. I'm not trying to be sexist, since I'm thrilled that so many girls in my age group enjoy the same things I do, but I simply wasn't expecting it.

The surprises didn't stop there. We had a sheet passed around to write down our names, and choose an "anime name" to use as a nickname in the club. By now, I'm pretty certain that you all (or at least my long-term friends here on DA) know what I use as my alias. For those who don't, it's the first half of my username on here (I only use the full version because it's normally already taken on many of the websites or forums that I frequent). Yeah, it's not Japanese, but I like the ring of it. They're lucky I didn't use Leon, because that OC's full name is wicked long, especially when converted into romanji. Hell, Leon's actually a shortened version of his first name.

After everyone "settled down" (meaning that it was only moderatly chaotic), we began to introduce ourselves, usually with the following setup:

Recive Urahara Kiskue plushie (that's how we decided turns)
Name:
Nickname:
Favorite Five Animes:
Hobbies:
Favorite Color: (why I don't know)
Experience in Anime: (I think I beat all of them in this, since I have no life whatsoever)

However, my intro was a bit longer. Keep in mind I'm wearing (most of, no haori and no Zanpakutou) my hand-made Shinigami clothes and this is my first time in an anime club. Needless to say, most of them loved it. It's kind of redundant to say this, but they actually knew what it was based off of (they were the first to know what it was without me telling them, excluding DA). I actually had to convince them by showing the crappy excess fabric in the hems of the hakama that I actually made it myself.
<br...

After a month or two of suddenly falling into an epic slump where my traditional art is concerned, I finally realized why I'm sucking so badly at my supposed "specialty", mecha about an hour ago. Since I have rather clear memories of resisting the urge to burn my sketchbook, I'm pretty sure I now know the cause behind my bad phase.

During sixth and seventh periods, my DS was dying on me, so I decided to save and try my hand at drawing another mecha and fail miserably again. As expected, after four pages, I got frusterated, and tried to work on my OC's, as I am currently trying to create a "final" look for them. This has also proven to be futile with Leon, my main OC, but...

Thirty minutes into the last period, I come out with a rough (but awesome considering my abilities) sketch of Sakura, my female OC, in a new, realistic outfit, complete with background and shadowing without even really thinking about it. As I'm trying to sort out this WTF moment (because all my attempts at Leon have resulted in mass tree murder), everything instantly made sense when I remembered one thing.

I'M IN FREAKING FASHION CLASS!!!!!!

Since Fashion focuses on the female figure (sexist much?), and the main reason I joined said class was so I could strengthen my people-drawing skills, it's no wonder why I'm finding difficulty drawing my male characters, let alone mecha (Don't even get me started on Zoids.) Granted, the class has proven benificial to my art, but I seriously need to turn my attention to everything else, otherwise I might have to join a class like Automotive to brush up on my machines...

Well, as the title says, I have thirteen days left. To be more precise, I have thirteen days left of summer vacation. Despite the fact that I more or less did absolutely nothing "productive" from June until now, it went by pretty fast.

Hopefully, I'll get my new laptop before school starts, so I won't be running around and mooching off of everyone's supplies, and I'll also be able to move all of my files on my parents' computer to it or my MP3 (which serves as a flash drive as well). However, I'm still somewhat skeptical about the entire situation.

However, I'm still stuck in the middle of my story/summer assignment that my teacher wanted typed up, around Chapter 8 or 9. Right now, I'm starting to lose intrest in it, just like I did with my Ressurrection project. And when that happens, you guys should know by now that it's dead in the water. Hopefully, I can force myself to complete it, but then I'm afraid that the story won't come out correctly.

My art has also taken a break in both digital and traditional. Instead, I'm spending my last few days of freedom doing chores around the house, playing Magic with my friends occasionaly, and beating the ever-loving crap out of my new (used) PS3 game, Soul Caliber 4, which happens to be the ONLY fighting game I'm actually good at. I would have bought Armored Core-For Answer, but noooooo, the day that I come with the money for the game just has to be the one day that the store no longer has it. Just my luck.

Well, as usual, I don't have many plans for the next few weeks, so all I can do right now is what I've been doing all this time and just going with the flow of life. It gets boring at times, but I don't have the fortune of being able to do anything else with my time.

Well, I have a little good news right now. I was able to download DoGA on my parent's computer, and as fate would have it, I can upload my picutre files from DoGA (by saving each rendered picture as a jpeg) onto DA with no repercussions. I was able to figure this out thanks to my CGA version of CRISIS.

However, since I am still unable to upload scanned artwork, I am currently stuck with using DoGA as my sole medium. This means, for the foreseeable future, my traditional creations will be on hold, and I have to modifiy my plans to create Chaos, Conjure, and Cardinal digitally first. This is something that I was trying my hardest to avoid, since my drawings take a turn for the worse if I try to base them off of one of my digital creations. With the OMAD series, I was attempting to draw them first, then make digital replicas that stayed as true as possible to the traditional design.

On another note, I will no longer be uploading my Mythril Wing story onto DA for security purposes. To be perfectly honest, my family and teachers want to see the story actually published (something that I find very farfetched), and believe that uploading the indiviual chapters will prevent this from happening. I don't like their train of thought, but it does make sense.

Finally, I will be going back to school on September 1st, and therefore may have difficulties with both keeping up with DA and creating new things. However, this may be mitigated by the arrival of my new computer, which I hope comes soon. Well, that's it for now, so till next time.

It's official. This computer hates my very soul. Because of something (probably an update to its firewall), I can no longer upload any of my files to Deviantart. So, not only can I not upload Chaos, but the drawings that were scheduled to be uploaded are all now on hold. Knowing me, a few of them are bound to get ruined.

What makes this worse is the fact that I'm seven pageviews shy of the 4000 mark, so I can't upload any sort of kiriban, even though I'm so damn close. And to think that tommorow, August 5th, will mark two whole years on Deviantart, the longest I have kept active (to an extent) on ANY website to date. I really wanted to do something that combined both of these things together, but apparently the Fates have found it amusing to screw with my digital life in the past month. Well, at least I can upload journals for now, hopefully.

Well, Dad told me this morning to move all of my stuff on my side of the room so that he could go and fix the water heater (which is so conviently placed right behind where I sleep). I thought that it would be too much of a hassle, so I decided to try and do everyone a favor and try to fix the water heater myself.

It was going rather well. I found where the problem was (it wasn't the water heater, it was the pipe that connected the trailer to the town's water supply), and it looked simple enough to fix with enough duct or electrical tape. Since I didn't know Dad's cell number, I decided to take the initiatve (something my parents yell at me for NOT doing).

So I crawl under the trailer, with spiders, mud, rusted metal and wheels, old bug "bombs" that we used to wipe out a roach infestation, and god knows what else, find the leak, and try to at least tape it up. My first three tries failed miserably, but even all of them combined can't match what happened next.

Since putting pieces of tape on the leak didn't work, I thought, "why not use the roll of duct tape and mummify the damn thing?". However, on the fourth rotation, I guess I put too much strain on one of the pipes, because it came off, and all hell broke loose. Fortunatly though, I was able to shut the main valve off, thereby stopping both the leak, and any use of water.

My brother comes in twenty minutes later and when I start to explain what happened, he starts complaining and swearing his head off, though he did get a temporary fix done after a few hours and calling me an idiot a thousand times.

Okay, after much talking (and showing both my parents my Deviantart account again to show them what I did with Shelia), me and my parental units have come up with two plans to fix my laptop problem.

First up is taking Shelia to a PC repair shop to see if we could replace the parts for her, or (by some miricle) repair the screen and the LCD connector. I don't mind this plan, but honestly, I prefer the second option.

Plan 2 is to work around the house, getting a dollar for every chore I do (or for doing favors for other family members) in order to save up money (the correct term would be making my parents owe me so much) to purchase another laptop altogether. Yeah, I lose all my files, but I lose all of my viruses and other problems on Shelia. I'm aiming for an ACER Inspire One, the same sort of laptop my brother has. It has double the memory and four times the RAM of Sheila, costs half as much, and if I worked a little bit in Fashion next year, I could strap it to my wrist because it's so small. It costs about $300, and I think I'm about a fifth of the way there. Since Dad needs the junk pile in the back disposed of, that ought to get me some more money.

On another note, I'm going to keep a decent update on my Mobile Armor collection, and the progress that they are at.

OMAD-X001 CRISIS: Uploaded
OMAD-X102 Claymore: Beginning Stage 4 (coloring)
OMAD-X003 Chaos: Stage 2 done, may revise
OMAD-X004 Conjure: Stage 3 done, may revise
OMAD-X205 Cardinal: Middle of Stage 1, may revise

I now have five stages to completing my drawing.

First Stage is the initial sketch, what I used to upload before I started inking.

Second Stage is "marking", where I go over the sketch lines I want to keep and leave the others there. I just picked this technique from my step brother.

Third Stage is inking and cleaning, where I ink over the marked lines until all of them are covered, and then use an eraser to get rid of the pencil lines.

Fourth Stage is coloring, which takes up almost, if not more time than the previous three stages put together. This involves both finding the right colors for both regular parts and shading (I don't use black for shadows), and using mutiple layers to get the correct effect.

Fifth Stage is uploading and final scan modifications. I have found, with a bit of tinkering with my mother and father's scanner settings, I can enhance the image to a point where it looks like how it does in real life.

Anyway, between doing chores around the house, typing up Mythril Wing chapters, and making colored Mobile Armor drawings, I got a lot to do ahead of me.

Well, since I haven't uploaded many pictures since god knows when, I think it would be fair to tell all of you just what the hell I've been doing these past few months. As you all know, I specialize (self-proclaimed) in mecha/giant robots, usually either Zoids or Gundams. However, for a while now, I've stopped work on both of these catagories for something else.

Some of you might remember my Mobile Armor concepts, both the CRISIS series and Chaos. Well, I've decided to make these my mainstay for a while, to change things up a bit. Unlike my other creations, Mobile Armor are only about eight to ten feet tall, which makes them too small to be mecha, but too big to be Power Armor. Apparently, I'm a lot better at coming up with stories for these guys than I am for my bigger creations, and the entire concept (at least to my knowledge) is original.

So, the next few drawings that will be uploaded will be my OMAD (Original Mobile Armor Design), which consists of OMAD-X001 CRISIS, OMAD-X102 Claymore, OMAD-X003 Chaos, OMAD-X004 Conjure, and OMAD-X205 Cardinal (hopefully in that order). I will also try to include both backstory and design concepts for each one.

Almost forgot: each picture WILL BE COLORED!!!! Since CRISIS came out so well, I've decided to color each one of them with a unique color scheme (so that means I won't be trying for a blue-white-gold for any one of them). Well, anyway, I hope you like them.

As if writing a 90 page (ongoing) creative writing story wasn't enough. Apparently, for my teacher, it isn't. Now she wants me to type the damn thing so she can show it to a VHS (Virtual High School) creative writing teacher that I may or may not be participating in his/her class. My issue with this is that the story is a: NOT FINISHED (okay, the first part has its rough draft done, but there's still parts two and three to deal with), and b: my regular teacher wants to use this as an example of what I can do.

Normally, I would be all for this, except for the second part. Besides the lack of Shelia (I'm now using a seperate account on my parent's computer, therefore I have limited time to type it up), if my teacher wants to use this as an example, the VHS teacher will probably use this as a standard. This would make my story worth an average grade, a C. This means I have to do this much work just to pass. I can only write like this when I want to. If I'm forced to do it, it won't come out as well (or at all).

Anyway, I'm going to start uploading the new story's chapters as I finsh them. Unlike Ressurrection, this one, Mythril Wing is an original story (no fanfiction), and is primarly fantasy based. As usual, comments and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism are always welcome, and any ideas would also be appreciated.

Okay so let's get straight to the point. Good news is, I have Shelia (my laptop) in my possession again. Bad news is: Sheila has NO FREAKIN' FACE! Apparently, the computer repair people wouldn't even bother looking or buying a screen for my computer, even when I gave them a check to cover both cost and shipping expenses. So, as of two Thursdays ago, Shelia has no screen. No screen means it's impossible to use her. Not being able to use Sheila means some SERIOUS withdrawls. Some people are addicted to crack or booze. I'm addicted to anime, video games, computers, RPG (any kind), drawing, writing, caffine, carbs, suger, and crispy potatos.

It's not like I'm going to die of it-I'm *ahem* "currently commendering" my parent's desktop, and I can access most of the web through my PS3's Internet function (though it never gets the format right and likes to freeze every so often). However, I don't use Shelia for games or watching anime (usually-that's what the PS3's for. A 27" TV is much better viewing than an LCD). By now, you all should know, I use my poor and overworked laptop to create/color/modify my artworl, be it CGA or traditional, do my schoolwork, and type my stories/concepts. She's also used for a giant Dungeons and Dragons database/automatic map/treasure/city/dungeon/NPC creator (since my parents get pissed at me because of my paper consumption).

However, with the next two months off, I want to resume (or completely recreate) Resurrection, type my creative writing short story that ended up being ninety pages long and counting (my teacher was expecting ten or twelve), and create some more 3d mecha models. If I can't use Shelia, that's all screwed. Yeah, I can use my PS3 to enjoy shows and everything, but there's only so many episodes of anime or chapters of manga before it gets tedious and boring. Even for me. I've tried to use the multiple monitors that my family has, but this one has to be recalibrated every time I want to use it (and my parents use this computer a lot), the one in the shed doesn't even work, and I don't want to invoke my brother's wrath by using the monitor he never uses and is or is not working (which means going through what has to be a wiring nightmare). I don't wanna get a new computer (okay, I wouldn't mind), but I would have to buy another copy of Rossetta Stone because my teacher's copy has reached its max duplication limit. There's $250 down the drain. Not to mention that I would lose all access to my previous CGA creations and Parts Assembler. I would also lose GIMP as well.

I hate my life....

Nihongo: Japanese word for Japanese
Nihongo-nitis: A mental disorder discovered in the late spring of 2009 which a person of non-Japanese descent exhibiting such a passion for Oriental tastes, styles, and fads (usually Japanese) that he/she rejects their heritage/affiliation with their native country's society in favor of a more Oriental (usually Japanese) culture.

Symptoms include: Watching numerous amounts of anime for repeated prolonged periods of time; exhibiting the desire to create real-life versions of clothing/objects portrayed in said anime/manga (more severe cases include the actual creation of said items); beginning to use Japanese or other Oriental words in everyday life which would never have been learned under regular circumstances; tends to reject/avoid any and all social activities unless it is specifically Oriental/Japanese/cosplay (anime, manga, and video games only), in which case the subject will attempt to attend the gathering at any cost.

Currently known cases of Nihongo-nitis: 1 (ME)

Known treatments to neutralize Nihongo-nitis: Continuious bombardment of external stimulai from non-Oriental areas, especially "American Idol", the Disney Channel, and American sport shows. This treatment has a 98.911% rate of either killing or destroying the infected person's mind as well as the Nihongo-nitis. Some cases of Nihongo-nitis have resistance to this treatment.

Currently known "safe" cures/treatments for patients of Nihongo-nitis: NONE

It's official, folks. I have finally past the point of no return. Or I might have passed it long ago, but didn't realize it until now. Either way, the "symptoms" perfectly describe me, and the "treatment" is more or less my only weakness. Basically, I'm an American (God, I hate that word) otaku.

I might have realized this when I heard myself proposing the idea of creating a set of samurai armor for my final project, made either out of sintra (a PVC thermoplastic) or leather/pleather (fake leather). (Anyone know where I can get a 4 foot by 8 foot piece of sintra for LESS than 100 bucks?). The sad thing is, both of my teachers thought it was an excellent idea, except for the $600 cost of the sintra I need (then again, it was on a site for buisnesses and other things).

Despite all of this, I'm really happy with what I got right now. I started this year with the idea of using fashion only to learn how to draw better, and then bail out of it. Now, I've made an (almost) complete Shinigami outfit that looks remarkable for someone who has only been in fashion for less than a year. Yeah, I might get the odd look from people (for both being in fashion and walking around school looking like a captain-level Death God), but I actually feel proud.

Normally, I would fear rejection from my American peers, despite the fact that although I have spent two years in the same school, I don't know any of them. I would never have mustered the pride/courage/stubborness to walk around in any cos-play outfit. However, this one is different. When I wear this, I feel a sense of pride and joy. I think it's because I actually made the entire thing (so far) by hand, and the experiances from the start of the year to the end were all stiched into the garments as well as the thread that binds them.

Crap, I'm turning all sappy again. Anyway, since my outfit is almost done, I was thinking of finishing up my Japanese wardrobe with a set of armor. I mean, how cool would that be? Sadly, I know that there's no possible way to make a set before school ends, so I'm alone on materials (which fashion normally supplies). Thankfully, I have the instructions from online, but it was made for sintra in mind, and I don't have a few hundred dollars in my pocket. I might have to modify/reinforce the pattern/pieces to use with leather or pleather, which would more closely replicate an authentic set of samurai armor (the materials that they used were strictly either leather and/or steel, never wood or bamboo). However, I would still require a good amount of financial support just to acquire the materials. Still, it would make a great summer project.

Keeping this in mind, I'm going to make a list of both the parts of the Shingami outfit and samurai armor and try to keep them updated as I make/buy each one.

[ ] Shinigami Outfit (currently in progress, mostly done)
[X] Black Kimono
[X] Black Hakama
[X] Captain's Haori (in progress, still needs squad#)
[ ] Geta/Shinigami sandles (forgot what the straw ones are called)
[ ] Tabi (socks)
[X] Zanpakutou (I might want another sword for it since my shinai is in crappy condition, and I'll probably make a backstory for both the sword and the character I'll be if I decide to be unique during cosplay)

[ ] Samurai Armor (color currently undecided)
[ ] ...

Well, every hero needs a heroine, right? For Leon, that would have to be his angelic friend Saryaka Riivaben (affectionatly known as Sakura). To those who think that her nickname is lame, go read something else.

General Information:
Name: Sakura (Real name: Saryaka Riivaben)
Alias(es): Lady Luck, World Jumper
Age: 14
Birthday: February 14th, 0056 (forced into time stasis at age 13)
Gender: Female
Race: Half-breed (looks like a half angel, but her other half is Raelven, like Leon)
Hair Color: Mousy brown
Eye Color: Turquoise blue
Wing Color: Pale pink (hence why “Sakura”, which means “cherry blossom”, stuck so well.)
Skin Color: Fair

Physical Infomation

Height: 4 feet, 10 inches
Weight: 91 pounds (due to her Raelven half, skeleton is made of cartilage)
Wingspan: 13 feet, 7 inches
Blood type: Unknown

Personal Information:
Likes: Leon (as a boyfriend and traveling companion), nature, change, virtually anything living, traveling, doing new things.
Dislikes: Her own home, spicy food, caves, spirits/phantoms/ghosts etc., bloodshed, war.
Special Qualities: Lucky to the point of divine favor, extremely strong magic user, sees the good side in everyone and everything, strong will, loyalty, and courage.
Weaknesses/Disadvantages: Extremely sensitive to mana-dampener abilities (skill where someone or thing drains magical energy from anything around it), physically weak, naïve, gets lost when alone constantly.

Description:
Sakura is Leon’s trusted partner and companion, although her feelings for the Mythril Angel run far deeper than that. Leon and her met in what seemed to be a Raelven-dominant world, but a sorcerer who used her as a living power stone froze her in time in a stasis pod. Once the Raelven Champion defeated said sorcerer, he left that world, not realizing that Sakura had followed him with her own power. Since he understood her reason for fleeing, Leon allowed her to accompany her.
Despite her gentle nature, Sakura has gotten her god-wielding companion out of so many undesirable situations it’s not even funny. Even without her unearthly magical capabilities, her sheer amount of luck gets both of them by without them even noticing. During their travels, the feelings that both of them had for the other grew even deeper, and soon the two of them became inseparable.
Although she has no interest in returning to her home world, she gladly follows Leon wherever he goes, happy just by being with someone after being alone for over a thousand years. The two have no secrets whatsoever between them, Leon knowing Sakura’s heritage, and Sakura knowing Lambda’s curse. Even so, they travel to find a way so Leon can return home.

Concept:
Sakura, like Leon, is based off of multiple characters. However, the difference between the two of them is that the heroine is the result of all the manga I read and anime I watch, unlike Leon, who was a fusion of all of my earlier male original characters. She may seem like the cliché girlfriend/support character, but in truth, she’s just as important to me as Leon is, possibly even more. Without her, Leon would never have developed as much as he has, and would not be as interesting. Either that, or I’m just a sucker for this type of character.

Well, that completes my two favorite characters. Next I'll try to find an interview like meme and have them both answer.

Well, since my computer's still screwed, I haven't been able to upload anything (sorry). However, something good has come out of the lack of Shelia: My traditional drawing skills have started to return, and with a vengence. Sure, I'm still a bit rusty, but I have quite a while to practice. And since I bought another ink pen, I can finish all of the drawings from January up until now. Getting them uploaded might be a problem, but if the library has a scanner for public use, I might have a shot. Also, if my fashion teacher will let me, I might be able to upload them a lot sooner.

Speaking of fashion class, I've begun to make a male samurai outfit (since I specialize in costume/cosplay/theatre design). Currently, the haori(medium length coat worn mainly by males) is finished (although it was originally intended to be similar to a long robe), and I'm making progress on the hakama, which is a pair of large pleated pants, although it can be mistaken for a pleated skirt because of the extremely low crotch line.

My end of the year project, though, is the kimono itself, which I found a pattern for yesterday at a fabric store. However, a couple problems have presented themselves with this article. First off, it was meant for girls or women, therefore I might need to make slight adjustments to make it fit me (if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm a guy). Since kimono can be worn by either men or women, that shouldn't be too difficult.

The main problem though, is the required fabric. Most clothing requires roughly one or two yards of fabric (three to six feet). My kimono pattern though demands 5.75 yards of regular fabric (either cotton or silk), and another 5.75 yards of lining fabric (which is extremely slippery). First issue with this is the cost of the damn stuff. On sale, the black cotton I was looking for was four dollars a yard. Since I require almost six feet of it, it would instantly cost me roughly $24 (something I don't have). More exquisite fabrics like silk or lining are even more expensive.

Besides killing my wallet, the second major issue is the silk/lining itself. I'm only a first year student in fashion (though I'm a senior, go figure), and I have little to no experiance whatsoever with slippery fabrics. Hell, I have a hard enough time staying on 5/8ths of an inch (standard sewing length from the edge of the fabric) with regular cotton. Thankfully, no advanced techniques like gathering or pleats are required for the kimono, so I might just be in luck.

Anyway, until next time, see ya.

Most of you may know me for my machines, but that's only a small fraction of my imaginary universe where my OC's reside. Truthfully, I'm as much into fantasy as I am into sci-fi. So, without further ado, my main (and personal favorite) original character, Leon.

General Information:
Name: Leon (Full Name: Leonidas Celioun Getsuto)
Alias(es): Mythril Angel, God-Wielder, Champion
Age: 15, 16 (doesn't age)
Gender: Male
Race: Raelven (basically humans with wings and magical/psychic powers)
Hair Color: Black with thin silver highlights
Eye Color: Normally one eye blue, one eye brown, changes with personality (either full blue or brown)
Feather Color: White with gold specks
Skin Color: Slightly pale

Physical Information:
Height: 5 feet, 5 inches
Weight: 107 lbs. (Raelven possess a hollow skeleton made of cartilage)
Wingspan: 21 feet
Blood Type: O+

Personal Information:
Likes: Flying, Sakura (closest friend and fellow world jumper), mock combat, ramen, meat (preferably venison or beef), traveling, seeing new things, mecha (don't ask!), Japanese music (especially “Unlimited Sky”, “Trinity Cross”, and “Happily Ever After” )

Dislikes: Tight spaces, water (getting wet-Raelven can't swim), people who pick on others, staying in one place, vegetables (Raelven need a lot of protein and starch to compensate for the stamina lost by flying), and needless bloodshed.

Special Qualities: Has an uncanny sense of justice, only immortal Raelven, unrivaled swordsman, extremely fast learner, able to master any sort of weapon or device in a short amount of time, very brave, but is also aware of his weaknesses and fears.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages: Fragile skeleton (like all Raelven), extremely loyal to friends (to the point of sacrificing himself if asked), very cold to most people, skeptical, competitive.

Description:
Leonidas Celioun Getsuto (a.k.a. Mythril Angel due to the fact that he always wore a complete set of full-plate mythril armor before he became immortal) is an exceedingly powerful Raelven warrior, who brought around the start of a new age for his race by wielding the power of the deceased god Grungir in the form of the celestial weapon Lambda. However, by using this sword, which possessed the power to cut through space and dimensions, he was punished by the gods for being a mortal who wielded a god’s power. His sentence was banishment from his own plane of existence, never to return to his world or his people.

One of the deities, Aura, who he had awakened by ushering in the new Raelven age, took pity on Leon, and granted him true immortality, never aging, healing almost instantly, immune to natural afflictions, and making him much harder to kill. She also blessed him with divine protection, for both waking her and reuniting her with Grungir (who was her father), if only for a moment.

Armed with this, and Lambda, Leon then started to travel through different dimensions, quelling chaos, gaining wisdom, and making friends. Along the way, he met the half-angel Saryaka Riivaben (which Leon pronounces as “Sakura”, since his vocal cords are incapable of pronouncing “ryaka”, which is one syllable in Sakura’s language), and they start traveling together, both of them outcasts from their own worlds. Together, they search the different worlds for their own answers, as well as to find their way home.

Special Note: Lambda, the Sword of Dimensions
Lambda is Leon’s primary weapon and method of travel between dimensions, but it possesses much more power and secrets than that. The biggest difference between Lambda and other celestial weapons is that it has multiple forms which it can change into at will, and evolves constantly, Currently, Lambda has the five (unofficially six) following forms:

Lambda-Twin Fang: Lambda’s original form, it takes the form of two Chinese Hook Blades. Decent in power and combo attacks, its main asset is its speed. However, at Leon’s command, it can fuse into a larger version with two hooks and handle guards. (People often relate it’s shape to a Keyblade, although it’s completely different [or is it?])

Lambda-Paradise Feather: Lambda’s second form, basically a huge, wide katana (think buster sword, but curved at the tip). Slower that Twin Fang, it is also the strongest form when it comes down to sheer power. In this form, Leon can channel his energy into his blade while swinging to create a giant energy wave directed at an opponent (or group) and inflict massive damage. This technique, when properly executed, is called “Heaven’s Roar”, and has devastating effects. However, if the wielder cannot control the sword’s power, or is unworthy of using it, energy shockwaves will be emitted every...

Well, I'm in a bind here. My computer (affectionatly named "Shelia") has had problems with its screen lately, and it's gotten so bad that I don't want to risk using it further as I may kill the screen itself (thereby losing acess to all data, including schoolwork, programs, etc.). As a last ditch effort, I transfered all of my crucial/irreplacable files (my schoolwork, story, and music) to my teacher's 4GB flash drive and gave Shelia to my friend Zack, who is in a computer repair class. Hopefully, she can be fixed, but here are the three options that are likely to happen:

1): The problem with Shelia isn't the LCD (liquid crystal display), but the connector. In this case, repair is easy and I'll be back in buisness in about a week.

2): The problem with Shelia (most likely cause) IS the LCD, and is impossible to repair w/o sending it back to the manufactuers along with sending an obnoxiously large repair bill. My wallet won't allow this, so the two courses of action are either:
a): Jerry-rig a flat screen monitor along with a set of hinges onto Shelia's original screen so that the new screen can flip over the old one and still close the lid while not in use
OR
b): Repair/modification is impossible, new laptop has to be purchased.

The first option requires modifying Shelia herself, and may be quite risky. The payoff here is that I get to keep all of my data. The traditional method means just shelling out cold hard cash for a new unit. Safer, but the cost is out of my wallet and loss of all data. If this is the case, I'm aiming to get an Acer Inspire One, a really good upgrade from my Compaq Presario C500. However, my point is I won't be submitting anything, CGI or otherwise for a while. However, I might be able to maintain contact via the school's computers XD.

Edit: Thursday, March 26th:

Bad news-it's the LCD screen that's out of alignment. The odds of fixing it now with the technology that the computer repair class has at their disposal is slim. I'm now faced with a financial dillema. Either I raise 100 dollars (unlikely) and risk the modification (and possibly wreck the 100 dollar screen in the process), or raise three hundred and twenty-five dollars (virtually impossible) and buy a new laptop. Since I don't have a job, I can't get this kind of money.

My best bet now is to sell most of my other electronics (GBA, DS, XBOX, and PS1) along with their accessories/games online and try to raise enough money to convince my parents to go 50/50 with me to buy a new laptop. However, I need to find a way to sell the four products (with their equipment) for at least $175 in order to get halfway. My mom and dad are already tight on money and they're relunctant to buy more electronical equipment, so this too, is a gamble. Either way, I won't be submitting for a while. Just thought that I'd inform you guys of what's happening.

Oh yeah, I'm in a really good mood right now. Just a little while ago, I downloaded a new parts package for my DoGA program, and I wasn't disappointed by the contents (though the weapons file was a bit scarce, but I can't complain, since I have two more weapons files from the default parts). As I played with them, I really wanted to remake some of my mecha, namely my Gundams, but I couldn't bring myself to just put the older designs aside.

My answer to this problem? Since creating Trinity in my storyline resulted in me killing off three of the four original Gundams (note-Trinity Gundam is made from the scrap parts of Haven, Wyvern, and Angel), I decided to make upgrades for them. So expect to see more giant robots.

However, I got even more good news: we got another scanner! This means I can upload all of those damn drawings I've made over the past few months, as soon as I find all of them. Finally, I can upload Leviathan and all that other good stuff, so expect them sometime next week.

...ahem, please forgive me for the preceding outburst. Well, to clear up the obscurity, I got Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the 360 for Christmas, cause me and my bro got a 360. Since I couldn't find Oblivion for the PS3, I decided to get the GOTY version for the Xbox (funnily enough, my brother found the PS3 versions the day after I bought mine at two other shops). We also got Halo 3 (duh), Ace Combat 6 (both my bro's), and Xbox Live Arcade.

Anyway, the first thing I do when I get home was pop in Oblivion and start playing. (for all of you unfamiliar with the Elder Scrolls, a; GET THREE AND FOUR!!!, and b; Arena, Daggerfell, Morrowind, and Oblivion [I, II, III, and IV, respectively) are role-playing games, but not in the popular sense. Whereas "Final Fantasy", "Xenosaga", or "Last Remnant" are all basically turn-based games with a strict storyline, the Elder Scrolls are basically really big sidequests. As soon as you exit the character creation/tutorial, you are on your own, free to explore and play as you see fit.)

It sent me through the tutorial, where I play around and the game estimates what kind of character class I would like the most depending on my stratagies. First time through, I used a Redguard (weapon master race), and it said I would be a Pilgrim. So I say, yeah, I did use that massive warhammer, but I'm more of a swordsman/healer, so I make my own class based off of the Pilgrim.

Little comparison with the skills of the Pilgrim against my skills:
Pilgrim: Blunt Weapon, Heavy Armor, Sneak, Marksman, Mercantile, Speechcraft, Restoration
Me: Light Armor, Blade, Sneak, Security, Restoration, Mysticism, Speechcraft.

Second time I went through, I played as a Brenton (mage race, decent combat stats), cause I discovered that pure battle prowlness wouldn't get me too far in Oblivion (unlike in Morrowind, where if I have a katana and my set of armor, everyone's screwed.) So I play with blades (I found a katana in the first five minutes, yays!), destruction magic, and sneaking around. And it tells me that I'm still a f***ing Pilgrim! Yeah, I snuck around the entire level, dealing sneak attacks left and right, but I never used a blunt weapon or a bow, ever!

Well, I must begin my quest once again, riding into the sunset. This concludes my random rant.

it's been awhile, since I wrote a journal, hasn't it? Well, anyway, it's only 5pm here, and I got nothing to do, so why not summarize everything that's happened to me in the last two months?

First thing: I don't know if you guys remember me saying this, but I've started going to tech school at the start of September. After nine weeks of exploratory classes, I've finally decided the path I'm going to take for the next three years, and this frightened/startled, without exception, everyone that I know in the real world.

I have decided to...become...

FABULOUS!!!!

This just goes to show the true, chaotic nature of myself. Normally, I would have taken the first class I was in, Design and Visual Communications (basically making ads and logos), but for some reason, Fashion just pulled me in. I feel very comfortable there, and I can openly express my ideas without ridicule. My teacher even said that I have a talent for making and understanding patterns (basically tissue stencils of the clothing parts) before I even cut the pattern out. Right now I'm working on a Gandolf(LotR) wizard's robe (I had originally wanted to make a white trench coat/duster, but we didn't have that pattern), but it's on hold until I get back to school.

Speaking of school, I'm about to go insane because of it. The one thing that kept me somewhat normal when I started to get pissed was my MP3 (nicknamed "Salvation"). However, on Monday, between the time that the dismissal bell rung and when I got on the bus, my MP3 went missing, probably falling onto the floor. My entire class helped me look for it the day after, but it's gone. Somebody's probably gone and kept it for themselves. Now I don't have my music...

...which makes drawing new things even harder for me. I've gotten to the point where I can't even think on how to improve on a concept, let alone completely draw something in one sitting. I'm practically forcing myself to just think that I can make something. I think that I've finally lost my ability to draw, or at least focus. I know that there's an infinite amount of possibilities, but I just keep drawing blanks. My paper remains as blank as...

...the three freaking feet of snow that we got here! Seriously, Western Mass (or at least my town) has broken the record of snow accumulation for the month of December in one weekend. I want to just move somewhere warmer...

well, anyway, that's my rant... bai bai.

Okay, since I got the urge to type on my computer, I might as well finish ML's battle story, right?

The Millennium Liger is one of mythic proportions, its lore second only to the God Zoid, the NZ-X "Mobius Liger". However, the data on this Zoid is much more complete, although the ones who possess it are extremely secretive about it.

Although its origins are unknown, Millennium Liger (or ML) has no registration number, therefore, no one can claim credit for constructing it. However, it is the largest Liger in existence, being about the same size and height as the Gojulas Giga in Pursuit Mode. This, though, is only one of its many unique properties.

The Millennium Liger has the ability to change into different "Forms" depending on the current situation, which are Alpha, Agility, and Assault (a feature strangely similar to the GZ-010 "Murasame Liger"'s Evolt). Also, the ML is the only Zoid that is capable of uniting with the Lagann unit to form the special "Gurren Liger" configuration, which will be covered later.

Each Form has its own color scheme and special abilities, as well as being able to use specific weapons that are otherwise disabled. The first of these Forms, the Alpha Form, is Millennium Liger's default form, with excellent levels in all parameters. It is silver with black armor and gold accents, sharing a similar color scheme to that of the completed Requiem. In this Form, the Liger can use the "Neo Masamune" giant katana, which is deadly even to a Mad Thunder. The secret behind this weapon is the boosters equipped to the blunt side of the sword, which activate to give even more force for the attack. This is also the only Form that Lagann can be unite with the Millennium Liger.

Agility Form, as its name implies, relies on extreme speed to catch its foes, specializing in melee combat. 75% of the power used to maintain armor, shields, and firearms is allocated to energy output, stability, speed, and mobility. It is orange and yellow in color, resembling the RZ-041+CAU-1 "Liger Zero Schneider", except the melee weapons are a rich blue in color. Most firearms and the "Neo Masamune" are disabled, but the "Ninjato" strike laser blades, "Dagger Edge" saw blades, and the Arcinite claws are boosted in power, as well as having the hover-run and thruster system power increased five-fold. In this form, the Millennium Liger can easily outstrip a RZ-041+CAU-2 "Liger Zero Jager", and can even move faster than the EZ-072 or EZ-102 "Energy Liger". Also, the VRA's thrusters cause images of the ML to be left behind at high speeds, earning this specific form the nickname "Phantom".

The last standard form, the Assault, focuses primarily on firepower, and can easily take down an entire city by itself. The trick behind this power is using the VRA's armaments in conjunction with all the other weapons of the Liger in one concetrated blast that results into devastation equal to, if not surpassing, a Death Saurer's Large Caliber Charged Particle Cannon (LCCPC). However, since it does not have a CPC, the Assault Form can use this technique multiple times in a row, which is called "Meteor Strike". However, the downside to this attack is that it inflicts massive wear on the weapons, which are unable to tolerate more than a few shots at a time. Assault uses a crimson and gold color scheme, with hints of orange and black.

The fusion form, the "Gurren Liger", is a result of the Millennium Liger's unrefined Zoid Cores (reminiscent of the CZ-017 "Soul Liger" and the NCZ-001 "Twilight Liger" series) with Spiral energy when united with a Lagann unit. As a result, the Liger's body and weapons mutate into hybrid equipment, using both kinds of energy to their fullest potential. In this "Form", the Gurren Liger is truly a force to be reckoned with, its power almost infinite. This was shown in an old holo-record found in the ruins of what used to be a giant airship, destroying five Whale Kings and a Gilvader within seconds, as well as thousands of smaller Zoids who happened to be caught in the crossfire. According to the video, the Gurren Liger was only using 20% of it's energy.

Well, that sums up the general stuff for Millennium Liger and each of it's forms, including a brief description of Gurren Liger's power. The only problem is trying to place it somewhere in my universe's timeline; whoever used this would probably be able to win a small war on their own, let alone a battle. Using Gurren, the ML becomes something like an auto-win machine...

Since school started this year with me taking two independant studies (which I only have fourty five minutes to do all the work needed) and switching between vocational classes, I just haven't had the energy to do much in the way of art.
Okay, I have a big problem on my hands. As of 5 pm yesterday, 16 living things have taken up residence in my family's 60 by 12 trailer. Let me explain: Two of my dad's friends were kicked out of their house on Friday, and my parents decided to let them stay at our already cramped home until things improve. I don't mind them, but having seven people in a mobile home is a bit much, right?

To make things worse, they brought their pets too, which are noisy as hell. Counting them as well, here is my list of this residence's current occupants:

1 Mom
1 Dad
1 Garth (+ one 'fro)
1 Quentin
1 Chad (me)
1 Mr. Rivers
1 Mrs. Rivers
1 Buddy (dog)
1 Kit Kat (cat)
1 Night/Velcro (cat)
1 Magic (bird/answering machine; also dubbed 'F-bomber' by me)
5 other birds who I do not know their names

Total: 16

Seriously, this place isn't that big (although Mr. Rivers said that he would help build an addition to our lovely 20 year old trailer [i call dibs on it]). And the worst part is, Mrs. River's kids might be coming over here every other week, and they're going to be stashed in my room (i know this, it's the most logical solution). Whenever they come over, something breaks, and I don't want them nosing into my stuff. Also, the pair consists of one boy and one girl, and seeing as my bed is the ONLY one in the house that has some sort of privacy, I know that if they do stay, I'm forfeiting my bed...

roflcopter, life sucks.

Damn, I didn't think the first week of school would drag on this f***ing long. It's felt like a month and a half to me, although both my DA journals and my calender say otherwise. I'm sorry that I've haven't been able to look at everyone's new deviations or their journals, right now, I just feel tired. Don't know why, but this year, school seems to want my soul (never gonna happen though.)

Apparently, I can only take one class at vocational school, but I spend three weeks trying each one out before I make my decision. So far, the one I'm currently taking Design and VC,(i think that's it's name, it's basically photo editing and manipulation) seems to be very strict and professional, even though homework (first time in three years) is a cinch.

Hitokiri, I got the tail ready, but I haven't been able to get down to the post office yet, but I'll try to this week.

PS: I think it was you, , that told me about the Gurren Lagunn anime? Well I spent three days watching it, and it easily rivals my two other mecha favorites, Gundam Seed and Zoids Genesis. I don't care if you like mecha or not, this series should be at the top (or damn well near it) of your things to watch list. For a short series (27 episodes, only 1 flashback episode, and in a good place too), it was able to tunnel into my heart with the big 50+ episode series. You'll understand why after you watch it. Hell, I'm making a special mecha just because I watched it and was inspired!

Now that my computer's stopped being a complete d-bag, I can finally get back online. I can't believe that it's been over a year since I joined DA (actually, I can, I didn't start submitting artwork until September/October). During this one year, I've made over 150 pieces of artwork from various genres, and almost twenty friends (i think). This is actually the first place where I've been able to stick around for more than a week without getting bored or harassed.

This year has seen many changes in my work, and a few new starting points as well. However, I've got a problem now. Though I've branched out of my traditional pencil sketch medium, it seems that I'm strictly doing CGI now, and it's showing in my sketches. My quality and patients has deteriorated quite a bit, and I still can't draw official mecha. It feels like that I'm running out of ideas for my paper work that my hands can draw.

So now I have a dilemma: Do I continue doing CGI, risking my traditional art skills getting even worse, or give up CGI for the time being, slaughter both my wallet and countless amounts of trees to try to reinforce my pencil technique? I want to hear what my friends say, because it's their opinion that counts the most. Also, my computer's filling up way too fast with picture files, which eats my memory like candy, so I'm not sure just how much longer I can do both.

Of course, this was a ridiculous request, with the contractors seeing that only a god could possibly create something of that caliber.

However, a private organization called Lochaber decided to see if they could rise to the occasion. They knew that every parameter of the mecha had to be astronomically higher than any machine to date, and they started with the materials for the body and armor.

Having access to both neo-titanium and Leeo by imports, Lochaber wanted even more defense, which in turn, led them to the discovery of a synthetic metal dubbed "Gundanium". This new material was far stronger and durable than any previous substance, yet was both extremely heavy and hard to produce. Their original plan was to create a full body out of the metal, but eventually, the design bureau decided to mix the produced Gundanium with neo-titanium and Leeo, reducing both the cost and time to construct the machine.

As for the powerplant they decided on, Lochaber went farther than any previous company. Whereas the competition decided to play it safe with ion or photon generators, the R&D team installed three Sigma Class nuclear reactors into the frame. This gave it months to years of energy life instead of hours or days. However, a fatal explosion would be able to change an entire world.

Instead of putting limiters or other generators in the machine, the design team made a self-destruct feature, and made two insanely powerful laser cannons that drew enormous energy from the powerplants, the "World Terminus" anti-fleet cannons. These weapons, however, could take out a colony with ease, let alone a starfleet.

In order to compensate for the raw, unprecedented power, a new director of Lochaber put in three installed AI's to restrict the "Experimental Gundam Mobile Suit"'s destructive capability. He then made an entire arsenal of weapons designed exclusively for the XEGMS, so a pilot wouldn't have to resort to using the "World Terminus".

Even with these new options, the director scrapped the project, saying that it was too powerful for humanity's own good, and the unit was never seen again, according to the public. However, the true story was that the dubbed "Haven Gundam" was sent through private channels to the director's brother on Zi-Omega, where it stayed in storage for fifteen years, while the new caretaker advanced the unit and made it equipment packs like the FIREBIRD for aerial combat.

(to be continued...)
I can't give anymore away, or the story would be spoiled!

I really meant what I said in the title; since when do I use my journal on here this frequently? Anyway, I have a few updates to post.

First thing's first, I've finally got a good start on one of 's suggestions of a Zoid, a leviathan, to be precise. This means there might be a comeback of good ol' traditional sketches/ink pics. Don't worry, though, I'll still do CGI too.

Second, I would like to thank all of my friends again on DA for supporting me for so long. Ironic thing is, even though I've already done a 1750 kiriban, I might have to do another ceremonial upload for my 1-year anniversary since joining Deviantart. What makes things funny, in my view, is even though I've done 170 (whoops, 171, forgot Neuro) deviations and submitted them here, I've made at least three hundred successful pictures, not to mention the bazillion of scraps I have laying around my room, none of which I've deemed good enough to upload. Yes, without realizing it, I've become a murderous serial tree killer. *evil laughs* Anyway, don't expect another huge wave like this from me. Ever since I made my first "popular" drawing, Lotus Liger, I've been slowing down on my quantity of actual pictures and even less upload-grade pictures. However, the quality has improved over the last year, I have to say.

Third, I've decided to continue my Zoid story and submit it on here, but I'm not going to try to explain the background of my products in a way that I would be explaining the story to someone who's never even bothered to read it, because that just defeats the entire purpose of me typing and creating the story. And if the story's purpose is insignificant, then the time and effort I put into creating a background and flavor text for most of my art becomes worthless. If that's worthless, then my pictures themselves are only meaningful for as long as they attract attention (which isn't that long, I know that much). See where my mind's going here? However, I am grateful to all of my readers, especially , who always finds time to read what I wrote and then give me input back.

Fourth (holy crap, how many updates do I have?), I am going to be starting school again in about two weeks to a month, but this time it's hardball. Although I'll only be taking one class I need for credits for my senior year (creative writing, lol), I'll also be learning Japanese formal, and then I have three more vocational classes, Arts and Communications, Arts and Advertisement, and Fashion. I don't know when I'll have to start waking up and going to sleep for this year, or if I'll actually have homework for the first time in roughly three years, but I do know this; with all of that and my entire family pressuring me to get a job where no one's hiring, I'll have a lot less time on my hands to do art.

Which makes the fifth announcement almost ridiculous. As of now, effective immediately, I will start taking requests and/or trades from people. I will NOT do commissions, nor will I accept money for a request or trade (ironic, huh? I'm the one b****ing about money, yet I won't take it). This is because in my view, I am still an amateur artist, therefore I am not good enough to demand money for requests or trades. Besides, art is my passion, and I don't have anything like a credit card or account that will allow me to make transactions on the internet. However, I may either postpone or deny requests depending on the difficulty, material, and other outside actions. Also, I hate to be biased, but I'm probably going to do requests/trades for my friends first, even if they ask later than someone else. My only restrictions on a request are these:

No hentai, porn or other erotic material: This I will ABSOLUTELY NOT do under any conditions, asking me over and over will probably cause me to deny further petitions.
Time limit: I don't work well when someone suddenly demands me to make a pic within, say, a day. I'm forgetful, so please, if you need it by some time, please give me appropriate time (i.e. a week max unless something comes up).
Specialization: Okay, DA friends, you probably know what I mean by this, but anyone that isn't familiar with my work, please take a good look around my gallery before you ask for something. In a nutshell, I'm a specialist in mecha, with a little skill with people and "armored dragons"(anime wise), and I suck at basically everything else. Think of what you want to be done BEFORE you ask me. You wouldn't ask a banker to build a missile, would you? If you...

Intro:[link]

Irony, the first SotW (look at the title) isn't a Liger, hell, it's not even a mecha at all. Deciding that my other units need some limelight, I decided to feature one of the fighters that appears in my larger universe, the ASIF-147 "Torikun" Atmospheric-Space Fighter, which can be found here:[link] This craft is standard issue to most Core squadrons that are stationed in low orbit, whereas the ground bases would be outfitted with either the ASIF-145+EPK-001 "Torikun Comet" or the A-VTOL/AC-185 "Stingray" craft. Interceptor squadrons and first-strike bases would also be likely to have four to eight ASIF-145+EPK-002 "Torikun Saber" variations as well.

Early in it's pioneering days into the wormhole found two parsecs above Saturn's moon Titan, the United Inter-Planet Legion (the government that came before the Earth Alliance) encountered hostile beings on Morcus, a Earth-like planet less than 1 AU (the distance between the Earth and the Sun) away from the wormholes. Although at this time humans had achieved the capability to create massive warships, they lacked the knowledge to develop a small, nimble fighter.

Normally, the UIPL forces would just sit around in orbit and deploy ground troops from there, but the Hring race had set up a highly effective defense system, resulting in any Legion war vessel being destroyed by massive anti-space lasers from the surface of the planet. However, the fourth ship that was targeted, the carrier Mira's Grace purged all of its orbital drop pods containing the then-prototype Anti Fortress "Blitzkrieg" units before taking its final blow.

Analysis by Core Intelligence came to the conclusion that although the Hring surface weapons could lay waste to the Legion's entire fleet of two hundred vessels, the targeting system that the enemy ordinance used wasn't able to lock onto the small pods that the Blitzkriegs were in. However, it appeared that the Hring air force could eliminate the gravity propelled craft before any could hit the surface.

Desperate to obtain the material resources of Morcus and cut down any more losses on the Legion's side, the top brass made a asked the leading producers of military technology to design a small, fighter craft that could fly into the atmosphere, destroy the surface weapons, damage around 20 to 40 percent of the remaining enemy forces, and fly back to the orbital fleet. This, of course, was unheard of at the time, for the smallest conventional engine that was attainable was the size of a jumbo liner of today (like a Boeing 747).

However, a minor research and development group called Rani, came up with a solution three weeks later, which was the MEO (Multi Energy Output) engine. Using the combined power of solar, nuclear, and ion energy, the design head, Hiromi Mirigumu, was able to compact the size of an engine to roughly that of a modern day turbine. Although the corporation or Mirigumu's design team had never worked on a military craft before (they specialized in energy and containment), they were personally asked to develop a concept fighter for about 25 billion credits (basically dollars).

Ironically, it took Rani more time to develop the craft itself than it did for the engine. Eventually, the design team collaborated with the much larger Heron Shield company to create a fuselage that could hold up against the entry end exit into and out of the atmosphere. Even so, Rani and Heron kept on testing and redoing the fighter's design.

Almost a year later, the leader of the Legion, Joseph Gilmen, gave the military an one month deadline to succeed in the campaign of Morcas or pull out. However, this wasn't needed, for the active General, Leo Grunford, received the first twenty five mass-production fighters nearly a week later. Everyday after that, at least fifty more "Tori-kuns", as Mirigumu nicknamed them rolled out of the assembly line, combat ready.

By comparison to the complex and intricate technology and procedures of the war vessels of 2317, the Torikun "midget ship" was thankfully simple to control, equal to that of a simulator of aircraft like the F-14 Tomcat or the F-15 Eagle. Armament was another thing that was kept to conventional measures, with just four laser rifles mounted around the cockpit and a machine gun on the tip of each wing. This was to emphasize maneuverability in the design. Though at this point in time, side and vector space thrusters were understood, the Rani/Heron team wanted to make the transition between atmospheric and space flight to a minimum. The original Torikun was not meant to have advancements like the Comet and Saber specs, and it was not until the Mk.8 that the thought was taken into consideration.

The first time the Torik...

Okay, this has gotta be a sign of the end. Me, writing two journals in one day? Never! Maybe two every seven to ten days, but one day? WTF?!

Well, anyway, remember how I was complaining about the lack of parts that my DoGA programs offer? Apparently, they have a link to a 3D polygon creator called Metasequia. I downloaded it when I got L2, but I encountered one problem: IT'S IN FREAKIN' JAPANESE AND ALGEBRA FORMULAS! Funny thing is, I'm trying to learn the damn language.

Anyway, I decided to delete the program files and looked elsewhere for other data. However, two weeks later, I found myself looking at a little thing on the Metasequia website: IT CAN BE ENGLISH! Hoping, I restored the program files and tried to configure it. No go.

So I downloaded the freeware version again. I then spent about two hours trying to make sense of the "hierarchy" that was listed. I scrapped that one because I permanently set that to dreaded Japanese/algebra formula wording. I then downloaded the third one and crossed my fingers. Evidently, all I had to do was relocate the Help file, and finally f***ing worked! God forbid that anything I download works the first time anymore!

Then I spent about five more hours getting used to Metasequia (funny thing, apparently the help files that I moved to make it work don't exist and they're in Japanese, and personally, I don't feel like spending two months translating it...), and made a makeshift katana for a Zoid. I save it, check. I convert a copy of the file to .sup (DoGA's program file type), check. Turn on DoGA L2 and select the part...

ERROR!

I spent another hour and a half trying to figure out what the f*** is wrong. Metasequia and the file were working fine, DoGA was functioning perfectly, and my computer wasn't really spazzing out at me. So what the hell happened?

I logged on to the official DoGA website and looked up the DoGA/Metasequia Alliance. Apparently, the custom parts made in Metasequia can only be uploaded and used in DoGA L3, their final lesson in CGA. Problem is, there's no help files for it, and it's supposed to be a bit buggy. Added to the fact that registering it would cost another $50, I didn't take it at first, but now I have.

Let's just hope this works. If it does, I will finally be able to make my new project.

I usually don't go outside unless I absolutely have to, so this is a record for me.

Before you started this survey, what did you look at? My messages and Arby 'n' the Chief

What are you wearing? Master Chief "I See Dead People" H2 shirt, blue jeans (again, unusual, since I've had a more Goth look for the past six months, i.e. tripp pants, white shirt, black leather dress vest, black trench coat/duster)

Did you dream last night? Doesn't everyone dream? Some people just forget it the moment they wake up. A phoenix poster, a colored picture of Lotus Liger, my brother's model SR-71 (we put model rocket engines where its engines were supposed to be and launched it horizontal...good times), electronic dartboard that we never use, Chuck Norris facts list poster, Halo 3 ad poster, old Zoid design concept, FF7 Crisis Core and Ace Combat 6 magazine ads/articles, some sort of European flag (green at the bottom, white at the top, with a red four legged winged dragon facing left), paintball equipment, atomic clock, graduation picture, graduation hat, and a giant @$$ American flag. (Please note that about half of this stuff is my brother's).

Seen anything weird lately? Again, I like to keep evidence of my insanity to myself.

What do you think of this quiz? Interesting...

What is the last film you saw? Crap. I'll have to ask my brother.

If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy? I would start buying stocks of every major company in the world so I wouldn't run out of it. Kidding! (or am I?)

(+1 dead puppies)

If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do? One thing, huh? Well, what I would want is to transform the world into the one I live in my head.

Do you like to dance? 1: I don't know how to dance properly. 2: You will NEVER catch me playing DDR. Well, choosing one that my wife WOULDN'T kill me for picking, I would have to say Mia.

Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him? God damn, what do you want with me? Probably Leon, if I don't change my name to that first.

Would you ever consider living abroad? Way ahead of you. That's what I want to do when I get enough money.

What do you want God to say to you when you reach the pearly gates? No, Chad, I won't smite you.

4 people who must also do this meme in THEIR journal: well, since I stole this one, I don't think I have the right to tag anyone.
Some of you might have noticed that the recent submissions of mine are not my usual traditional outlines, but of pictures and other methods of art that I rarely use. Reason being is that for some reason, I'm really sucking at art right now, at least when it comes to drawing. Don't ask me why, because I don't know either. Maybe it's because I don't have my classmates from school commenting on my work while I'm doing it...nah, can't be it, right?

But, thanks to , I finally got access to a CGI (or CGA) program that's relativity easy to use, even for someone with no experience. The DoGA L series is great for anyone who wants to learn the art of computer graphics imaging or animation, and the first program is absolutely free! However, it does not have the ability to color your creations, but DoGA L2 can do that for you. It's free unless you want to use "render/view animation", in which case you have to register, which is 50 dollars.

Unfortunately, neither program allows conversion of the CGA files to regular image files, but again, came to the rescue, telling me about the program Gadwin Screenshot, allowing me to take pictures of my new found work while keeping the original file untouched. So now, since I have the ability to create the concepts I could never draw, I can start submitting my CGI work on here. Thanks, Hitokiri!

Well, a lot of stuff has happened to me lately, and since I feel like everyone around me is a total idiot and would ignore it, maybe my friends on here might understand.

First thing: Zoids are not completely extinct in Massachusetts- I saw a Ptera/Salamander the other day in the mall for sale, MIB, for $40! Unfortunatly, since my mom didn't have all the money that she owned me, I was about $20 short. Also, I have a really bad habit of buying things the moment I have money in my pocket. So when I saw a cool set of headphones, I bought them on the spot. However in a week, I should have raised enough money to buy another Zoid I'm looking for online, Mugen Liger. I know this may seem dumb, but he's my top priority, even though Salamander's only a few towns away.

Also, speaking of financial status, my parents are continuously on me now about getting a job. Yeah, that's right, I'm unemployed and always have been. I'm sorry, but when you spend five years at a residential school and during that time, you get social training for regular interaction and job employment equal to a dog's pile of crap, you're not going to want to go outside and make new friends. In my eyes, when a generation reaches adulthood in a sleepy town, the ties of relationship in any form are already made, and it's just plain weird for someone to try to add themselves into the knot.

...sorry for that rant.

Onto another topic I wanted to bring up- my decreasing rate of adding pictures on here. I'm still drawing, but it seems every time I make something, it's just another variation of what I have already created. Hell, in my room, there's about twenty different Ligers and other feline Zoids laying around, and said "new" characters look almost exactly like previous characters that I tried my hardest to make different. Damn, I suck at imagining new things...

It's almost summer up here, and the temperature is as radical as ever. One day, it'll be 80 F and sunny, the next, 50 and rain. Why the hell can't the powers that be decide just what kind of weather we're going to have this year???? Is it a foretelling of what the next school year has to come?

Oh yeah, I'm going to a technical school next year as a senior, and I'm taking Arts and Communications, Advertisement Art, and (don't say a damn word) Fashion. It's only a half-day program, and then I'll be going back to the collaborative that I'm currently attending (or vice-versa, if I have it my way). What makes it seem even better for next year is that I only have to take English Grammar as a mandatory course, and I can cover that with Creative Writing. My teacher is also seeing if I can take a independent Japanese language course, so I'll be looking forward to that too. That just leaves one slot open for something else (besides lunch). Maybe I'll just use that time to free-draw or catch up on some sleep.

Well, that's that for now... I might upload some more random art later, but I don't know.

Until next time

------------------
My DA family (and this is saying a LOT):

<img class="avatar" src="http://a.deviantart.com/avatars/v/e/vegah2.png" width="50" height="50" alt=":i...

Okay, let me explain something, since I have nothing better to do. Me and my friends have created a Divine Council, consisting of us, and we gave ourselves names just to fool around, but it stuck.

There's Bill, aka Gabriel. I feel sorry for this guy because all he can do is tell some chick she's pregnant. He's a good guy though, and a better artist. He specializes in more organic creations, where as I am almost exclusively machine.

Zel is Michal, although I haven't seen him fight yet, I haven't seen him when he was pissed yet either, so I can't really say anything for or against him.

Blake, one of my best friends is God. Yes, he is f***ing God, get used to it. We both goof around and mess with each other when were not on a energy drink run or he's beating me to death with his left shoe. On DA, he's . He's the guy I made Lotus Liger for.

His younger brother is Pat, aka Jesus or Buddha. This kid is a beast, at 15 years old, he's 6'3" and over 200 pounds. He's a guitarist that plays in a band and he's one of the most loyal friends I've ever had.

Then, there's me, God's God. I goof around with Bill, Blake, and Pat, but for some reason, they never give me the respect of God's God. Maybe it's because of their defiance of my ascension. Either way, I'm chill. I also posess the self proclaimed titles of Deus ex Machina (since I'm the best at drawing machines) and Death (aka me on energy drinks)

Last, and the most revered of us all, is my brother Garth. He just is. Before the universe was, before God or God's God was, he was. He just has an commanding air of respect that draws us to him.

Well, that's it for today. Thanks for reading my random rant.

On another note, I can officially die happy now. No, I don't have a girlfriend, but what I do have is my brother's katana. He gave me the one thing I've been after since I was twelve. Sure, this katana was mistreated and abused and it isn't the best out there, but a katana is still a katana, and what makes it most precious to me is that my brother gave it to me. According to the box it came in, it's a Masahiro Sakura model. I don't care if that's good or bad-I have a sword.

Sorry that I haven't been on in a while; I had technical difficulties. You see, I use a laptop/notebook to do most of my work and Internet activities, but last Saturday, my charger died.

This doesn't mean that I can't use it (last time I checked, it was almost at full power), but it eats energy like no tomorrow, so I got like 40 minutes to an hour left of power before it goes.

I am supposed to get a new charger via my 1 year warranty on the laptop, but seeing as my dad thinks that the problem lies with the connector between the laptop and the wire, we might have some clashes.

I mean seriously, he always thinks he has to be right about everything, and gets bent out of shape every time something doesn't go his way. It seems like he always gets on my case, and not my two brothers.

Exhibit #1: Dad walks into my room (which I share with my brother), and sees me and bro on our laptops. Sure my side of the room isn't what one would call perfect, but neither is my brother's, and you can actually walk around it without killing yourself! Yet Dad yells at me to clean up my room, and yet says nothing to my brother, which by the way, will be online and on the phone until freakin' 02:00! And he yells at me if I'm on past 23:00! WTF!

Sorry about that, that was just me raving a bit. Well, I hope everyone had a merry Christmas/Hannaukah/Kwanza etc. See ya!

Heh heh... I'm kinda starting to like school.

Let me explain. I started to make my fan-fiction (i wouldn't call it that, since the only similarities are with Zoids...but anyway) called ZOIDS: Resurrection. I got to chapter five when my teachers were talking about how it would be nice if someone from my class could get into an Honors class. I didn't hear this, so when they were talking about stories, I decided to show them the work I did on the first five chapters.

Apparently, after I showed them it, I 'volunteered' to go to an Honors English class. I mean seriously. If I knew that writing what I like could get me into an Honors class, I would have put in a bit more effort in my work. I didn't know it was this easy! (well then again, school itself seems to be a freakin breeze for me, I myself think that high school's difficulty is overrated).

So I'm going to continue to write the Resurrection chapters, although no one on here's looked at them...*sobs*. But I'm not writing them just for the class. I'm also writing them because I like this story line. To me, this is the best idea I've had for a story since my Trinity War series (which takes place before Resurrection, by the way. If this goes over well, and if I make all three novels of this series, I'll work on putting my Trinity War set on here.)

Well, till next time

Well, i found my interest in art (which is graphic art, especially mecha/Zoids), and I realized that I haven't told anyone the reason why I'm doing this.

It started when I moved to Massachusetts about 7 years ago. My friends dragged me into Zoids, and we started to make our own game based off it. It was nothing big, but that game started to grow as we matured. Eventually, in 2004 (the year that Zoids became hard as hell to find *cries*), we actually had a good game.

But then it started to fall apart. First my bro left, and after that, people stopped playing. I didn't want that to happen. I had fun playing with others through this game. So I started to draw and design my Zoids and make my own game and story line, which I called ZOIDS: Trinity War (ZTW).

I made a good 100+ Zoids before I was forbidden to draw at my school (they thought I was being obsessive), and then there was a good two year hiatus in my Zoid art.

The thing that kicked me back into gear the most was when me and my friends were reminiscing about the old days, and someone brought up my brother's custom Blade Panzer. I then started to talk about how I made my old Trinity War game, but most of that was either destroyed or lost.

I then decided to resurrect the idea of a Zoid game, but this time more advanced and accurate, hence the name of the fan-fic I'm making: ZOIDS: Resurrection.

The Zoids I draw now are either new versions of the old 100, or new ones for the game. I don't know why, but Zoids just seem really awesome to me, and bring back good memories. I believe that is why I am doing this.

This is my first journal, and I would like to say that I honestly don't know what I'm going to put up here.

First off, I draw mecha (Zoids foremost), but I also want to put other things on here. I look at other profiles and they got like a bazillion hits, and I got like less than 50. I don't know what it is, is it my art, or is it just because I suck?

Well, right now I'm doing very well in school (I'm a junior) and I make my art and continuously come up with goals for my creative side. I know I'm still an amateur that hasn't had a single actual art class in his life with only pencil and paper for his tools, but I want to be able to draw like my friends, teachers, and classmates say I can.

The funny thing is, most of the people who see my art think that it's really good, but looking at the amazing art from people like *VigBrastle, ~Elaine-Eden and ~riskybiznez, I don't actually know where I stand.

So, I need people to tell me what I could do to improve my art, keeping in mind my budget is $0.00. Also, I need to know what people really think of my art.
