The Beast, she is finished!

Ahem. The last few weeks I've spent in an intensive redesign of my jewelry website, Raphaelina Jewelry which seemed like a marvelous idea at the time of conception. Clean up the site a bit, make the colors more web-safe and have the overall feel of the design better reflect my style of jewelry. Brilliant! Right?

I did not take into consideration how much inventory I have and just how many pages that would be. Holy cow. But she's done now, so go have a look-see. (And maybe alleviate me of some of that inventory, eh?)

I recently spent some time and got my website redesigned and put in what I think is decent order. Re-uploaded just today, I'm still in the fnarking-around stage though I thought I'd send it out to you guys first to see what you think.
Here's the linky: [link]

I know, I know, I haven’t updated in awhile because I haven’t been making much. The combination of an emotional low-blow and family illness left me without much energy for anything else most of this month. But! I’m feeling better; really good in fact and now I have lots and lots of creative energy- just not to sure what to do with it.

Sooo, this is where you guys come in. I’m opening to commissions, jewelry and masks. Also, I'm asking for plain ole’ suggestions/ideas. Themes, colour schemes, characters, mythology, -anything- that can be translated into jewelry or a mask. Challenges are good. The more you can think of, the better for me to play with! And as always, if you decide you’d like a commission or want to buy one of the suggestions deviants get free shipping and $5 off.

Thanks everyone!

Who was generous enough to link me in her journal. If you're just seeing her name for the first time, you really should go check out her gallery. She's a beautiful woman and incredibly talented artist and craftswoman. Her work is refined and lovely with a hint of mysterious femininity- I adore it! She's also been one of my bestest buddies for the past eight (nine?) years. Go forth and visit, bearing beer and kittens.

Ahem.

Also, I've joined and am having quite a bit of fun with all the other lovely, talented people there. Pay them a visit, too!

My air conditioner has decided to stage a protest against the California sunshine this week which, of course, happens to have been one of the warmest so far this summer. I do have a swamp cooler, but that's only on the second floor bedroom and doesn't quite make it into my studio, eeeevil.

For some reason, when I feel hot I just don't feel like creating -anything-. Not that I don't have ideas, I'm just too lathargic to do them. Urgle. Luckily, all my commissions are done so I'm spending time editing images of older pieces and adding things to my website: [link]

Does anyone else block up when it gets too hot? I'm feeling the need to go ice-cream shopping. To help the creative block, of course.
