For incoming and outgoing data through the GMII port, a scheme of dynamically allocated buffers will be used. The Nios will allocate some space in the external memory heap, and pass along the addresses to the Ethernet module. A DMA will talk to the external memory controller and write/fetch data as necessary from standard in/out FIFOs, which are in turn accessed by the GMII controller.

A friend of mine, that is conceivably everywhere, once said the reason art has to be figured out is because the expressionists message may have a deeper meaning, requiring a complete three dimensional view. Not all expressions are meant to be understood by everyone. Isn't it nice when someone figures out the creative puzzle of you? It, damn well, is. What if they saw the masterpiece in you and began to lose interest? Then the masterpiece doesn't belong in that person's home. It belongs in a museum where it will always be valued and appreciated.

I looked out the window (from the 12th floor) and saw smoke coming off the top of a building. It has to be a fire I thought. Oh, no. I told my co-workers and we were soon huddled in another office watching the apartment building. After a few minutes we retreated back to our work areas. I heard sirens and when I looked out the window I saw a fireman, with his hose, trying to put the fire out. I never did see the fire.
