anyway, last tuesday I saw boys like girls/cobra starship/the maine/a rocket to the moon/versaemerge and it was really fun. my group of friends (there were like 6 of us) started a mini mosh pit in the back of the crowd for the maine. everyone was looking at us like wtf but they were all lame and boring! we talked to johnoh after and he was like "YEAH THANKS FOR BRINGING THE ENERGY THE CROWD WAS NOT TOO GREAT." haha
and my friend laura got to go backstage for a little bit to meet cobra starship! her mom's friend is BFFs with vicky t's mom, so yeah. lucky punk.

next week I'm seeing all time low! so stoked, my friends and I saw them last november same venue and it was one of the best shows I've ever attended, so yeah. excited!! that was also the show that I met one of my best friends, jessie. <3333
then, DECEMBER 5TH. SOOO EXCITED. FOREVER THE SICKEST KIDS' LAST SHOW FOR THE CHEAP DATE TOUR. HOLY CRAP, IT'S GOING TO BE AMAZING.

I saw about 11 bands, but didn't catch the entire sets of all of them since lots were playing at the same time as each other.
(I'm going to use the words "moshing" and "skanking" a lot in this, fyi. look up what they mean if you don't know. lol)
The Maine was playing first, which sucked. we didn't have that much fun because we were on the way side and we weren't really in the mind-set for warped yet. if they were playing later in the day it would have been awesome. anyway, after we watched a couple songs for we the kings and a couple songs from saosin (both from afar though, it's way too hard to get to the pit just to leave) Then we went over to another stage and a reggae-ish ska band called westbound train was playing so we hopped into their skank pit and danced around. there was a guy smoking a blunt in the middle of the circle and it was hilarious and weird hahaha.
after that we stayed in that spot for forever the sickest kids to come on. my friend who I was with, Laura, and I really wanted a pit so we and a couple other really fun girls in the crowd had a little dance mosh pit going on. I crowdsurfed but got dropped on my back, ow. then around the last few songs an actual mosh pit broke out. it was SOO HOT AND TIRING. I was DYING in that pit. so fun.
after then we got snowcones and ate those while watching this providence for a little while, then moved on to streetlight manifesto. I was watching the skank pit for a few songs before I decided I just had to get in it for the last song, but right when I got in it went from a nice dancey skank pit to much more harder core of a mosh pit. they were AMAZING though. I wish I could have caught their whole set.
then Laura and I hung around for a while until All Time Low was on. they were SO AMAZING. I fucking love ATL. they were on main stage so they had a really long set. <3 for the first few songs it was just intense pushing and I was getting really mad that there wasn't a pit yet, but then one broke out right next to us and it was really fun, but kind of small. then jack (the guitarist) was like to some kid in the crowd "HEY YOU KID IN THE RED SUNGLASSES AND HAT, START A GIANT MOSH PIT" so right in the middle of the crowd a huuuge mosh pit broke out and it was killer! it was so big I pretty much just skanked because there were so few people running into me. haha. I crowdsurfed three-ish times for them. once I got pretty far then dropped, but a guy right standing where I fell was like WANNA GO BACK UP? and grabbed my waist and threw me back on top of the crowd. so I count that as two times. while up there I heard "leah?" and laura was crowdsurfing right next to me!! so we were both like HEY LET US DOWN so we got back in the crowd/to the mosh pit and moshed more. then at their last song I crowdsurfed all the way to the front and out, which I always do for ATL. like, I always end up crowdsurfing right as jack is in the crowd, so I'm always like a foot away from him haha. (same thing happened at bamboozle left.)

this is getting really long so I'm going to end it with, after that we listened to the white tie affair from afar, then later jumped into a NoFX skank pit for their last song, and then were in the crowd not expecting much for 3oh!3 but their mosh pit broke out right next to us and it was REALLY REALLY hardcore. like SOOO hardcore. it was the sickest pit we were in all day. so insane and fun haha.

1. primary colors, where I'd draw things but I would only color them with yellow, red, and blue, no matter what I'm drawing. I'd have a lot of fun with that because I adore primary colors, plus I'd be able to pretty much draw anything.
2. idioms. I think idioms would be cool, but is that just me? is it stupid? honest though. like drawings based off sayings like "an elephant in the room" or "back to the drawing board" or "curiosity killed the cat." it would probably be broad enough for me to have fun with, no? plus it's sort of inventive/creative.

oh yeah and I just got asked on facebook if I was gay. ffffffff hahahaha. I'm very straight. basically every saved picture on my computer is of a hot guy. but I'm honestly not offended, I get why she wondered if I was. and cobra starship last night was amazing! they're so fun and crazy live. I think it sort of had to do with me dancing so much but. yeah. I guess the experience has to do with what you do personally, if you don't do anything you don't have fun. they opened with pete wentz is the only reason we're famous which has such a solid beat I lost my breath and got really tired right at the beginning, haha. and later they played pleasure ryland which I find hilarious for some reason.
I was sort of sad they didn't play any songs from hot mess (other than pete wentz/good girls go bad), I really wanted to hear hot mess or you're not in on the joke.
and I got the hot mess across the us tour shirt and had them sign it (well, not gabe, he was mobbed too much for me to have him sign more than my drawing)
urr and yeah! I also got pictures with all of them, and they all turned out really well except for my vicky t one.

but the box hasn't gotten here yet, and she called monday
and today I played sims for an hour then it shut off then an hour later I went to play again (if I let it rest it lets me stay on for a while) but it wouldn't turn on. so I hit the button a billion times and it finally turned on but now the monitor won't sync so everytime I turn the monitor on it says "no input signal, monitor going to sleep"
GOD DAMN IT
I just want my stupid computer to stupid work uhg and for that damn box to come so I can get the new one in like a week goood uhg

oh and I haven't checked my grades online yet since before finals because I don't want to make myself depressed (I'm 90% sure I got a B in math because my friend who is much better at math than me got a 89.5% which is obviously the lowest possible grade to get to still have an A) so I don't actually know what I got in anything. so the maine show last night was really fun! I've been to more fun but the show was pretty hectic. my friends and I made the whole day really great by jusy goofing around and just having fun. afterwords the maine was supposed to do a signing but they couldn't because of the poe-leese but we were under their hotel window (so not creepy) and talked to some guys and made pat come outside and talk with us, haha. then we were talking to some really nice punk guy who was going up to their room and he asked us if we wanted to give them anything so I gave him my sharktooth necklace (it's one of my favorite necklaces, I got it at venice beach like 3 years ago. cheap but cool) to give to john oh, I hope he got it!!

so tired. I'm going to go watch more True Blood now.

I like the bangs on of the first one (but only on her right side, the left is too long), the easiness/spikiness/punky-ness of the 2nd one, the layered fun-ness of the 3rd one, and the style/cut of the 4th one.

I saw about 8 of my favorite bands and was in 4 mosh pits total. I crowd surfed twice, once for Forever The Sickest Kids and once for All Time Low, only at FTSK I got dropped and nearly broke my arm. I almost got in a fist fight during All Time Low because some bitch wouldn't let my friends into the mosh pit. The best pit was for Cobra Starship because we moshed but danced a lot too because it was a huge circle with like 10 people in it total. oh and I skanked for the first time in The Aquabats pit. (:

okay and I'm majorly art blocked. It's spring break and I can't draw anything. I really want my style to be more realistic. I really really want to draw some people from different angles and in like scenes and stuff but I can't get anything to look right and I'm ready to rip my hair out.
I just need to keep trying and work on it.

I'm going to Arizona tomorrow for a few days to visit my grandma which should be relaxing. I keep forgetting to finish my online driving lessons; I've been half way done with it for like a week and a half and have to get a move on.

anyway yesterday was the AP Tour at the Avalon in Hollywood and it was the funnest show I've ever been to!!! I've never danced so much in my life!!!
So it was A Rocket To the Moon then Hit The Lights, then Family Force 5, 3oh3, and finally The Maine.
I went with my friend Jessie and we met up with some girls we knew in line, and right when we went we were apparently in line for a meet-and-greet with The Maine. we waited in line for like 2 seconds before we went inside and had them sign stuff and talked to them for a second and it was pretty cool! Jessie was like BLAH BLAH BLAH talking to them so I didn't say much but I had Pat call my BFF Laura (who's in NY this weekend, tear)
BUT BUT Jessie didn't talk to Garrett much so I was like "GARRETT EEE I'm the girl who drew that drawing that's on your fridge!!" and he was like "OMG HAHA IT'S REALLY GOOD MY MOM LOVES THAT DRAWING, IT'S STILL ON THE FRIDGE!!" hahaha
okay anyway A Rocket To The Moon was pretty fun and I love them but then at the end of their set everyone started pushing like crazy for Hit The Lights so that sucked ass.
BUT THEN Family Force 5 had everyone make a dance pit in the middle of the floor so Jessie and I jumped in and club danced and then it filled up with just DANCINGGG and we bumped hips and jumped and danced like fucking crazy. FAMILY FORCE 5 WAS SO AMAZING LIVE SERIOUSLY THEY'RE MY FAVORITE BAND LIVE NOW. SOOO AMAZING.
and 3oh!3 was surprisingly really fun because I just danced like crazy.
and obviously the maine was amazingly awesome and fun like always.
then after the show we talked to A Rocket To The Moon but no one else was really outside except Pat and Garrett so we talked to them some more.

I had a ridiculously long and involved conversation with Garrett about Dexter. I told him how the book and show were different and our conversation was so long that other people were like 'uhm. can just sign this?' and he was signing things and taking pictures as we continued talking. ahaha I love that boyy.

To put it lightly, it was a fun ass night.

I just got home from seeing Metro Station for the 3rd time. It was my 10th show ever, and it rocked. It was a free show at this small venue on hollywood blvd like a block away from the hollywood and highland mall. my besty laura and I went straight after school and waited for like 5 hours, haha.

So I'm back from my vacationn!! Grand Cayman was great. It was a really windy but it was hot and sunny and beautiful.

Last Friday was in my top 5 of the greatest times of my life. The Maine show was hella fun. Especially talking to everyone after the show was amazing, I had only talked to one of them before and they're all such friendly dudes! And since it was their christmas show my friends and I gave them gifts. From 5-7 I'm like the happiest person in the world. But then I realize I have to go back the next day and get depressed again. :'D;;

Oh andd I got my schedule today and I have to change it a ton. I have PE 5th and math 6th right now but I need to have tennis 6th so that would make math 5th, but when you're on a sports team you miss 5th period a lot so I need to move math earlier.

My other friend had a VIP pass so she was just hanging out back there.
But either way it was lots of fun. I missed The Academy Is... and Cobra Starship because I got there at like 1 and for some reason they played early on. )): I got to see Ludo, Forever The Sickest Kids, All Time Low, Reliant K, Say Anything, and Angels and Airwaves. FTSK was probably the most fun but I just loved seeing AVA. They were on at 7:45 after Reliant K and Say Anything on the main stage right so at 5:30ish I started my way into the crowd while Reliant K was on. I don't even really like Reliant K or Say Anything (I don't hate them of course but I'm not a huge fan or anything) but right when Reliant K was over I was stuck in the huge surge of people pushing to be in the pit for Say Anything. So I was like 10 people back for Say Anything and felt really awkward because everyone around me was like "OMG I LOVE SAY ANYTHING SO MUCH!!!" But because I was up there early I was within 6 people from the front for the entire AVA show. EEEEEEE I love Tom Delong and AVA was so bomb and gahh I'm so happy.

I got smacked in the face by a crowd surfer during Say Anything so my braces smashed open my lip. ): It's not that bad but it bled a little during the show.

Oh and I just had my first day of tennis tryouts. I've won 3 for 4 but I'm worried because my 3 wins were on the worst girls. So tomorrow I'll be playing much better people. eeep.

sooo I saw X-Files: I Want to Believe last night at grauman's chinese theater and got to walk on the red carpet and stuff!!
I'm not going to say anything about the movie (-coughididn'treallylikeititwasreallyboringNOALIENS,WHATcough-) because i don't want to spoil it.
but i got to be within 50 feet of gillian anderson and david duchovny for an extended period of time! i saw them from far away but i didn't get to go up to them or anything.

so i'm getting tennis lessons from my brother and today a class began at the courts and the guy i might have a crush on (i've only talked to him a few times and he doesn't go to my school lol) was there. eee okay i'm a squealy girl, i accept that. i said hi but he was too busy watching my brother play to really notice me OTL;;;

oh and i got a tennis lesson from my brother today (he's a hardcore tennis player, he was the captain of the school team last year and all that jazz) and it was really, really fun. i'm so proud of myself for not completely sucking. according to him i have a good forehand! eeeee

so I met cutie little but then she ran away

and it was fun.
My friends and I went Thursday Friday Saturday and stayed at a hotel even though we live halfn hour from downtown.
Anyways, I just saw on facebook some kids I know also went, idk what day though. They're the kinds of kids who probably go "kawaii desu ne??" or something. they're into yaoi and stuff ew. and they dressed up as DN charachters. hahaha

there was this one booth selling a gurren lagann brigade flag but when we went to buy it it was sold out. ; ; it was so awesome. we asked if we could buy the display one and they said it was already sold. bawww.
and my friend fell in love with this one gumshoe cosplayer because after she took a picture with him we saw him again and he was like HEY, PAL!!

so yeah. i really don't want to go to history tomorrow morning. -cry-
