Yay!

I'm alive and actually working on art. I now have TWO webcomics- Neither of which is on the internet yet because I got majorly screwed by Comic Genesis and have yet to find a suitable replacement. I'm browsing currently for a new site. I have a few ideas. . .

I'm working on 3 massively large pieces of art right now, a trilogy for the darling The sketches look mind-blowingly FANTASTIC, but I hit a huge road block with the colours. :/

So I'm taking a break to work on some Fan-art, which I hope will help get me back on track with my colouring, so I can get back on track with the trilogy. I also have a few minor picture projects on the back burners, and a few things I'd like to post that have been lurking around the hard drive forever, that are all about 20 minutes from being done. There;s about 5 pictures in that pile! I've been working on my realism as well, and my style, so my art's changed a bit.

Ahhhhh good times. I'm busy with work and school and papers and projects, and Wow and webcomics that'll never get off the ground~ I've been pretty good in general. I've been lurking, you may have seen me now and then. I'm working on getting together a stock account, but I rarely get the fast internet connection ,the external hard drive and the laptop in the same room together at the same time, so it's going slowly.

Hope you've all been good! Please ask for sketches! Get your friends in on the deal!

Also, if I had a contest, would you enter it? It would be massively free-form, and t would be for the benefit of my dorm room, when I go! I'm working on getting my paypal account back up, so I could give memberships as gifts... What do you think?

CONTEST!

The object of the contest is to draw Never.

Never is a large purple unicorn.

Do whatever you;d like with him. Draw him as a horse, a pony, a unicorn, a kitten, a super cute anime boy! Make him the star in gratuitous furry porn! Make abstract Never art full of squares and squiggles! A clever play on his name gets you extra points! As long as I can tell it's Never, it's game!

He's a dusky purple with pale red eyes and a dark grey mane and tail. Also note his horn is broken off, giving it a wicked point.

I'm doing this in the hopes that you guys will inspire me to draw again! I'm hoping it'll get me back in the mood to do something as amazing as everyone who watches me does.


No fears though, I'm working on a few pieces I hope will be up in the next week or two. The first part or two or three of a set of 5 pieces, One of Never as a cute anime boy!!! As well as 2 other slivers of trivial nonsense which I'm saving for way last, and several choice pieces of fanart and gift art, one of which won;t be up for a while b/c I want to make it the best it can be. I also owe her Christmas gift still *groan* I promise it'll be up, errr. . . this week? Gosh I'm so busy sometimes I swear. It's done and it looks rly nifty. It's actually on the table next to me. My life is all 'class class class sleep class gym class sleep study class gym work work work work work' and then I do it again next week.

Anyhow! Thanks for your support and for being there and making awesome art! You guys inspire me and it makes my life to know I can always come back to dA and you've only gotten better since I've been busy doing non art related things. I've lost my muse and you all make amazing stand-ins while he's fluttering about elsewhere. I'm trying to get my game back together. I've said it before, I know, but I mean it this time. I'm doing this new thing where I make time for the things I need to do and I get them done well and in a timely manner, haha.

Along that line I'm crushing all my classes this semester and sent in a transfer application to a good 4 year school, so no more of this community college stuff! So life's going smoothly now and I have GOALS *gasp* I'm gonna be a lawyer and work with Jack McCoy. True story.

Anyhow it's bed time for all good little Moonstrucks.

It's like half the people I watch are. . .Well they're really good but. . .it's just 'wolf.' 'dragon.' 'wolf.' 'wonkily drawn anime character with bunny ears.' 'wolf.'

Srsly.

It's not everyone. It's just like. . . most of my watch list. I mean wolves are cool and all. But you'll never be one or hang out with them or see a real one. Everyone's into them. You aren't the first person to draw a ZOMG RED?!?!? wolf and you sure as hell won't be the last. It's. . . idk. Maybe I grew up. Maybe I dumbed down. Maybe life lost some of its sparkle and mystery somewhere along the way.

I'm not as good as I used to be. . .I don't do much besides doodle anymore, though I'm planning on working on a set of digital arts. If I ever finish any. Which I won't. Because I have work and school and I need to bring my GPA up to at least a 2.5. Which it isn't at right now. It will be by the end of this semester though, it HAS to be. So I can get into the school I need to.

I lost art talent. Where did it go? I look at stuff from like 2 or 3 years ago and it's so pretty and well done and I know I can't do anything on that level anymore.

Mostly I just draw monsters.

I did I still life. . .I should put that up.

Anyhow dA is a cool place to pick up art for my apartment when I get one! Which I am doing next fall semester. At which point I will cease to have free time until I graduate law school in 5 years.

. . .If this is still dA. . .it's the same colour but. . .

Eh. I guess I just need to trim my watch list. Care a little more. Maybe It's just a thing. That'll go away. I owe people art but every time I look at what I've begun it looks worse and more juvenile and pointless then the last time I looked at it. I can seriously look at something I did the day before and see nothing but a mess of anatomical mistakes and wonky body parts and. . . Idk. I'm never going to be great. I'm never even going to be good.

Phewph. Past few weeks have been rough, my grandfather's been in the hospital and not doing too well and he finally passed away. I've been bouncing back between the house and Newyork for the past two weeks, and Newyork doesn't have a reliable internet connection. The Funeral was saturday, so I'll finally be back home soon. . .

I've been sick again *groan* and mostly working on my webcomic stuff, and a D&D campaign I've been planning for a while now. Had to watch my brother for a week, it's been a realatively busy past few weeks and I haven't gotten much of anything done.

I'll be back up and running tomorrow, so Though I know all 3 of you missed my art, no worries! It'll be back up with some vague regularity soon. I've got a few new pieces I'm working on that should be done soon, and the webcomic will be up as soon as I find space for it out there on the intarwebz. Anyone know any good places? Anyone? No?

It also turns out that sculpting has turned me int oa true and real hardcore perfectionist. . . :/ I took one look at the trade piece I was supposed to do with wynd and poked at it for about 5 minutes before scrapping it. It needs to be better. :/ It must be. . .*spazzes*

So that's what I've been up tooooo. A lazy old summer. I can't get a job so I'm a bum.

Haha well, you know how in the last journal I was looking for something productive to do with my summer? Well, I ended up winning a guitar. So I think I'm going to learn how to play it. That was certainly convienient, wasn't it? I ca nread music and stuff, so it's just a matter of going from wind instrument to string instrument and learning the chords, I hope! I haven't looked into how to play too much yet, but I start tomorrow, dun dun dun!!!!

Once again, I've got yet ANOTHER web comic idea, but I can never finish anything I start. And as you guys can see, the other thousand ideas went soooo well. . . Hopefully this one goes good! Wish me luck at guitar and comic-making! Haha

I'll try not to forget art! Haha like there's any chance of that happening. . . I usually get pretty bummed during the summer and I'm dealing with some rough emotional stuff, not to mention an art slump. . . Nothing I've tried to draw has come out right. It's summer now. And I want to do something producive with my summer. I want to make something really cool and awesome. Or learn something fun that I'm actually good at. I just don't know what. Any Suggestions?

I already know how to knit. . .I just learned. . . aaaaand. . .I don't know. Help? Maybe I could sculpt something, but what? Or. . . I really have no idea.


In other news. I've been trying to be more active on dA and even if no one comments my art any more, I'm trying to keep up on my comments and the people I watch. I'm trying to get to know more people and make new friends. I've come to the conclusion I'll never be great at art, or even good, But I'll still post what I've got. I'm going to massively post all my stuff from Jewelry making and metal smithing once I get a working camera.

The people I watch have given me some amazing idea and really inspired me, they always open my ears to the singing of my muse He's a fantastic creature, my Ayroe, even if I'm horrible to deal with. . . Poor boy.

So thanks, guys, you're the reason I still enjoy ending the day with some art.

I'm trying to start yet another web comic, hopefully this one works better then the others. . . I'll prolly just get my ass sued off and no one will ever look at it, but y'know. Such is life.

College is busy busy busy and I'm glad for the summer to let me cool off and recover from the mono I've been fighting for about 5 months now. It decimated my immune system and I've been sick forEVer. . . I'm into D&D as well as Magic (the gathering) now, so that keeps me busy and about. . . I've got a lot of personal stuff t o deal with, my grandpa and my uncle have been sick, my mother is an absolute monster, my boyfriend is an absolute angel, friends have been doing stupid shit right and left. . . Such is life. dA's a nice place to come and relax. *relaxes*

Can't think of much else to say, other then, thanks guys! Hopefully you can come up with something for me to do. . . I'm desperate.

I got annoyed at dA's new mature content thing so I went away until I was 18. Now I can look at boobiez again. horray!

In all seriousness? Yeah. Life was busy. But I intended to use break for arting, and I have. I'm on break until the 22nd and I swear I'll try not to get behind on actually doing art this semester. Last was hard because I had to figure out how to run a club, but now that I've got it down, there shouldn't be any problems.

I think I've also figured out it isn't good to work on two pieces at once, because something ends up getting neglected.

Anywho, this journal is just to update you guys on what I'm up to. I've changed up my art a little, I've pulled away from the digital because I just couldn't get the hang of it. I'm actually now working with . . . Watercolours.

HEY! 10,000. Awesome.

So, since no one got the 10,000, I purged my Gallery.

j/k. I purged it because I felt the need too.

Looking at all of my art, I just felt like none of it was really my best stuff. So I shoved it all into Scraps. It's not really gone, just moved.

I'm in the process of changing up my style. I considered getting a new dA account for it, and I still am. . . But for now, I won't. I love being MoonStruck more then anything. It's part of who I am now.

Life's just been super busy, and I don't get much time for art anymore. . . I'll try to make time.

The scanner's out of service at the moment, so I've got to find the stuff for that, then i'll have a bunch of new art. I'm working on watercolours, and I'm not half bad. Not half good, but, not half bad either.

The Webcomic's been put off to the side until I can find a server or site for it. And that's not going well. Does anyone know any good WebComic hosting sites? Or just good free web hosting sites? I've found a site to post the art on, I just need it organized. . .

Woah. Guys, did I promise you art?

Here's what's up. (If you don't want to listen to me bitching, just skip on ahead.)

Sooo. Basically, it all started when I was accused of lying to one of my best friends. He kinda just stopped talking to me and I had to hear it second hand. This is the person who exploded on me for getting angry at him and signing off for a day. Did I mention he did the exact same thing he accused me of 'lying' about when he was younger? Yeah. I'm afraid he'll implode from sheer hypocricy any minute now. . . Not to mention I didn't actually lie to him about anything. We'd been growing apart for a while now, but. . .

Yeaah. Okay then! A week later. . . I'm talking to someone I considered one of my really good friends and she basically tells me shes tired of me, shut the hell up and leave her alone.

Wow. Rather sudden. 2. . .3 days later? The boyfriend of 16 months decided to dump me. No, we did not break up. He dumped me. I asked him if he wanted to talk about it, he said no. I asked him if he wanted to try and work something out. he said no. You wanna know what we broke up over? He was flirting with other girls via Facebook, which I would have been completely fine with, except he COMPLETELY ignores me in all other respects. Never talked to me, never called me, wouldn't respond to my messages, and got tired of me being upset over it.

The day before he dumped me I quit facebook so I wouldn't have to worry about it and started learning French so I could say cute things to him without him knowing. Well, some venture. social networking, huh. I have an email if they need me.

I was completely devoted to him. You really only love somebody like that once in your life.

But I must not be that broken up, my chem Lab partner is really hawt

Then. . .I started. . . OMG. COLLEGE.

It's actually really fun. ^^ I joined the school newspaper, and I'm starting a club. ^^

It was a bad week. I'm glad college started, and I started my own little project. . .

(Okay angst over, you can read again)

But, yes. In order to help me get over the stupid break up, I started a . . . WEB COMIC! !

~Fig5 told me to doodle and I sketched up a few characters and jokingly thought that maybe I'd start a comic, pulled a story out of nowhere, and presto.

I don't have it up yet, but I'm well on my way with page 3 atm. ^^ A good friend should be hosting it for me, and I've already gotten a bunch of people to say they'll visit! I've got a few guest appearences set up already, be nice to me and maybe i'll set up a few more

I'll have the first page and a link up on dA when it's up! ^^ It's been a blast, really, and it's an absolutely beautiful distraction from unpleasantries. . . All of my friends have been such a huge help to me.

Which reminds me I have to get the stupid COMPUTER WORKING AGAIN I OWE WYND A PICTURE.

Just letting you all know I haven't changed at all and I'm still not doing any art and making up elaborate excuses for not doing anything arty.

. . .It occurs to me I actually need to do art so people will come to my page and I'll actually get hits. This sounds like it would be productive, as far as actually getting those 10,000 hits goes.

My desktop computer completely crashed. So I can't use it for digital art. After a struggle, I got the tablet installed on my new laptop, which is at least a demi-god, if not entitled to full god status. So I'm slowed, but not stopped >:3

In the meantime, I can't scan my half of the art trade with the lovely lovely ~wyndsilver. *sobs uncontrollably* IT WAS SO AWESOME, TOOOOO.

Additionally, I'm not used to working on art, I'm going to have to get back into the habit. I'll be MUCH more productive once I get back to school and have to blow several hours a day back in the tower. I *might* be getting Photoshop CS 3 as well, which would be nice, but it'll take me a while to figure out how to use it. Additionally, I'm both a digital artist and a writer, and my writing side is calling to me, so I've been working on that as well.

ATM, I'm busy getting ready to go back to school. I bought a 5 subject notebook. It's grey. It's pretty boring. I'm thinking of doing the same thing to it I did to the last one. which was namely, spray painting it into awesomeness. But I have no design ideas. Any thoughts on what to put on it? tyhe last one had a five pointed punk star and generous over spray. I'm thinking I'd like something along the same lines.

AND ALSO. I purchased a hat from the amazing ~clearkid. I suggest you also get one. I haven't actually recieved the hat yet, but I've seen the pictures and it's ADORABLE. She's got a VERY reasonable price, especially for the level of craftmanship and adorability. She's very accomidating too, and just grinned and nodded when i started yelling "OMG WOULDN'T IT BE COOL IF THE HAT HAD. . ."

I'll have pictures the moment I get it. ^^ It's really been the highlight of my past two weeks. I'll get piccyz of the notebook too, once i figure out what I want on it. I might just snag the "MSDL" design Slacstu did for me,as the original piece went a completely differnt direction then I assumed it would, and I never ended up using the design. . .but I'm not saying no to ideas! -^^- GIVE ME DESIGN IDEAS!

Okay, So I've managed to take it down to 1000 deviations solid before I hit lunch. I got a hot dog (NOM NOM NOM) and then trolled around until I found meh a candy bar. I'm actually looking at them all, even if I'm not commenting them all, so, yeah. ^^ just fyi.

So I'm public enemy number one again, and as usual no one's even considered the fact I have emotions.

So I'm actually working on art! I know I haven't posted anything, But I've mostly got half worked pieces and personal gift art so far, nothing worth throwing up. I promise ya'll something special later in the week, tho

I've been away too long. . .Jason hit the nail on the head when he explained what he and Peggy felt. . . I got way to caught up with the boyfriend to the point where I didn't have any personal life. And when I finally got back to drawing, the last couple of strings let loose and the rest of my life collapsed on me ><

Fun times.

Additionally, I haven't drawn in about a year, and all my watchers have died >< So I've lost my fan base ( ) and I'm WAY out of practice. . . Nothing I turn out's going to be very decent for a while. Not that anything I ever turn out looks decent, but. Okay, it will look even worse then it usually does. ><

So just letting you know what I'm up tooooo. I made several other attempts to return that all failed miserably. . . This isn't going to be one of them, on my honour. ^^

1. How often do you practice?
Practice what? Art? It's all pretty much practice and learning and growing, I'd have to say maybe every other day?

2. How often do you draw?
Maybe every other day?

3. What percentage of your pieces wind up in dA?
Prolly 5 - 15 percent of my stuff winds up here. . .The rest of it gets thrown in the big art box, or never finnished and lurks on Sven for the rest of forever.

4. Are there other art sites that you often visit? If so, what are they?
I don't tend to visit other art sites.

5. What is your favorite lolipop flavor? Your least?
Grape, or Cherry. But Black Cherry is okay *laughs*

6. What is your favorite smell?
This is gonna sound creepy, but prolly Matt. ^^ He always smells warm, but spicy at the same time. . . It's nice.

7. How long does it take for you to complete an average piece of art?
Depends on what I'm doing. . . Digital pieces take from 5 to 45 hours, traditional hand drawn take from 30 minutes to maybe 3 hours unless I decided to colour, which tacks on another hour or so.

The range is so large on the digital because Sometimes I just scan and slap colour on, sometimes I scan and digitally ink, which can take a while depending on how I do it (I've got 2 or 3 methods) and how complex I make the shading, plus how big the piece is.

8. How do you react to angry or sad people?
I stay away from them. Or beat them until they become happy.

9. Do you have a favorite band?
Oh, prolly

10. Who are they?
JamisonParker

11. What do you like about them?
The lyrics and the tunes are so pretty, and they make me think.

12. Do you know anyone else who likes them?
I don't know of anyone else who has even HEARD of them, tbh. I played them for my cousin once ,and she thought they were good.

13. Do you give in to peer pressure easily?
Um, depends. If someones like "lets work on this thing together!" I'm like "YES!" Even if I can't do it because my current work load is so massive from not being able to say no to people. If some guys like "hey, you should smoke" I'm like "Fuck off". So it all really depends.

14. What are some books you read?

I haven't actually worked on anything that qualifies as art in about a year. . . I did do some pieces for a college class, but. I'll try to get those posted, if you;d like?

Also, I was chillin on Gaia Online, and it kinda inspired me to get back into the art thing, so i'm going to try working on some new pieces and i'll post the results.

I'll also try to go through all 800 of my deviations, but i'll be moving slowly, so give me some time. . .

So, just saying howdy and letting y'all know i'll still alive. barely.

I've been really busy lately, but i should be in the clear, mostly, now. This week is busy, and I'm going to be at Balticon on the 26th for the Masquerade ball, as I won third in their yound writers contest. I have to make the skirt for that yet, as well and a glove for my left hand.

Hey guys. Sry I've been gone for so long

I know I haven't been much missed. I've been REALLY busy, with a crap load of projects for school and stuff, the musical, the art show, the list is five million miles long and when i'm not sleeping or playing at school, i'm usually stalking le pretty boyfriend, or sighing wistfully over him, so that takes up a lot of time, as well.

I'm actually taking an art class, so i do have a lot of stuff to put up, and i should actually have time to get it up! I'll throw up everything from the art show for you guys, so look for that soon.

Um, My 3 year anniversary blew by, I missed that completely. . .

So, I guess this is basically me letting you guys know I'm still alive, that you guys are still amazing, and promising i'll get back soon. ^^

Hey guys! I know i've been gone for awhile now, but i'm working on some things and they look good, honest injun'.

I know i'm eternally asking favours, but if anyone has any spare time, I need line art.

Please? Just line art. cleaned preferably. Take ten minutes out of your busy life and doodle for me? I'm working on a small project and I need lineart for it.

I need lineart of girls, specifically. A variety of poses, shapes and sizes. But Each girl has to be themed. free reign, really. Just make sure you incorperate some aspect of the theme in her design. The more cliche, the better. I don't need more then the girls, so no backgrounds or props, unless you want to make the girl holding something. I'd prefer is the theme was mainly displayed through outfit, pose, and hairstyle. I'll be colouring them, and I promise i'll give you props left and right, credit you ten times over. I just need this lineart.

If you'd like to know what i'm using these for, it's to help me with layout and design, learning how to better put together and organize my art. I'm taking Design, so I need some clue of how to do that, some project.

I'd prefer to have the pictures ASAP, but take your time if you'd like. Let me know if you're going to do one, and I don't mind having doubles at all, in fact, it's prolly be best if I did.

But, wow. my art is improving. i can almost actually draw exactly what i see in my head now. Which is in improvement. because while i'm not as good as i'd like to be, and my style isn't quite what i want it to be (even tho i don't like it i'm sticking with it because it's my style, goddammit.) I'm content with my art. And i'm getting better. i swear.

I was on a several month long art hiatus there, but i'm slowly coming back. of course i always lurk. what would i be if i didn't lurk?

So. I have this friend, right? His name's Sabree. he is a computer hacker extrodinaire. And hes awesome. did i mention he's awesome?

so i was playing with his CD's and happened to notice a large quantity of software. I asked him if he didn't happen to have a copy of the gold standard lying around somewhere: Photoshop 7. "No," says he. "sadly i only have CS."

So i stole it from him.



I also stole some Gorillaz music i didn't previously have, as well as some Taproot.

(When i say steal, i mean borrow. when i say liberate, i mean steal. when i say comendeer, i mean steal with your knowledge but not aquiesence of the theft.)

Ok. well. I crashed my computer and now it's all sorts of screwed to hell and i have no idea what's wrong.

oh and also, i got fired today. kinda. Well, the point is, i don't have a job anymore. And thusly, i have no supar fast zippeh internet to steal. ;-;

I've got lots of awesome art to post however, if my computer ever recovers. at the moment, it just shows my desktop picture. and my cursor. and that's it. period. nothing else. no icons, no start up bar. nothing. any ideas of what could be wrong?

But i've got Wynd's sketch done, I don't know if i'm going to go the whole 10 yards and finnish it up, but i've got the sketch done.

because i'm a wierdo, i usually keep a couple deviations i like kicking around in my deviation watch page, and they all dissapeared on me 2 days ago, and i have not had notification of a picture posted since then. . . .

i'm a lazy bum. i just copy-pasted off of my blog. enjoy.

what does it even matter? the world is ending in. . . 6 years, is it? and this is exactly why. yeah. world peace would be nice. but there is always gonna be someone stupid enough to yell "your mom!" and chuck a grenade. and there is always gonna be someone stupid enough to yell "no, your mom!" and chuck one back. . .it isn't the smart people tearing the world apart, it's the stupid ones. the smart people watch from the sidelines. one or two try to help. but you can't make people see what they dont want to see. if all of the stupid people were on the same side, we wouldnt have this problem. they would try to start something. but the smart people would just smile and ignore it. but then, i guess the stupid people would just start fighting among themselves. . . even if everyone had what they wanted, they still wuld not be happy. and for some people, who were born with and who have lived with war, they dont know anything else. they can't just put down the weapons and walk away. and all the stupid people are gonna get the rest of us blown up, and what for? over a few miles of land? over a disagreement over who should lead a religion? it is so pointless. but they are the base, greedy people, who thrive on conflict. maybe they will blow each other up. but no, that wouldnt work. because they are base, and greedy, people. they would take everyone with them. suicide bombers, case in point. the whole situation sucks. and the whole world is pissed at the US because our leaders have made crappy ass decisions. look, i'm cool with Muslims, and Allah, and damn if i am not the redest republican that ever lived. (republicans are red, right?) but fuck Bush if some guy walks up to me, says "All glory be to Allah" and blows us both to hell because i am an american. i will not be judged, or likewise condemned, for someone else's actions. it is my right, as a voter, to remove disfavourable figures from office by not voting for them if i so choose (or so NSL tells me). or i could just move to Canada. or Britan. Tony Blair is not a fucking retard. Bush gives republicans a bad name.

yeah. maybe i didnt really care about any of this until i met Stel. but you know what? that's what life is like. you dont care about something, really, until it becomes part of your life. Stel is a pretty damn good reason to care. not everyone has to worry about their best friend getting blown up every day. i hold my breath everytime they mention another captured soldier on TV. everytime they show another picture of troops marching, or another bombing, i hold my breath, wondering if i'll see Stel.

i shouldn't worry. it's happening so far away. that's not really an excuse not to care. but i shouldnt worry about things i can't control. . ."

yup. All other art has been postponed until i stop loving the art i'm currently working with.

just an update under the rant, guys. it wasn't worth another journal. and i like the rant!!!

Yup. Two days ago i took on the DA Admins in my journal, for failing to live up to the former DD standards.

Today i'm going stright for the Artists.

SO. i've had A LOT of spare internet time lately, so i have been randomly going through different artists. I've been looking at the more popular ones. and i've noticed, they are very. . . clique-y.

They'll ONLY have links to other more "popular" artists on their pages. (popular being a reference to the number of pageviews) they do all of these self promotional things. "go visit my website! buy this book me and the other, more popular DA artists are putting together!"

i mean, come on. how stuck up can you be? it's like some exclusive club or something. it's like, you can only get in if you have so many pageviews. it's absolutely revolting. how can anyone be that shallow?

but i've also seen a lot of REALLY good artists who aren't that well known. who basically have the same kind of style as the more popular artists. so. . . what is it that makes the popular artists popular? the fact they all know and link each other? i mean, some of them aren't even that good, and here they are, in their journals, basically talking about how sadly they can't take any more commissions from the poor raving fans, and how they have to beat them off with large sticks. (can you say stuck-up?) damn. if i ever become that damn popular, i will never talk to those people.

and maybe that's what prevents me from being popular? instead of being stuck up and only talking to the people with pagviews i talk to everyone? like, this one artist i know? she usedto be really nice, and cool, and she started sucking up to the more popular artists with gift art and such, and now she doesn't even have the time of day for me. and this other artist? she takes down her entire gallery and reposts it all, and obviously doubles the number of her pages views, as she has now posted everyt thing twice, and she becomes a total bitch. "everyone likes my art! look how many page views i have! screw you, you aren't popular. who wants to shower me with money for commisions???" the whole reason she left in the first place was because she felt she wasn't getting enough respect, she was upset that everyone wasn't slobbering all over her art. . . um, geeze, maybe because it isn't that good? i didn't like her just for her art, i liked her for her. and now i don't anymore. i tried to give her some construcktive crit once? and she stuck her nose so far up in the air and threw such a huff. . . she is offended if you don't look at her art RIGHT AWAY. . . it's sickening. how can anyone be that self absorbed?

ew. just. . . ew. that isn't what art is about. art isn't about money. art isn't about pageviews. it's about expression, it's about feelings. it's about putting down in some solid form what's in your head. maybe i forgot that to some degree.

and i'm not saying all of the more popular artists are stuck up, my guava isn't like that at all. yeah, she has the more popular artist friends, but she also talks to everyone. and Ratri. i don't think she'd abandon me if she had a few thousand pageviews. . .

*shakes head* the world has gone mad.

is it just me or has the quality of art at DA recently lessened? like, overall? i used to find about 20 pictures per day i liked, and now, all of them look poorly done. even the daily deviations look . . . well, i dunno, mostly stupid. before, when i looked at one, i usually thought "damn. that is wonderful and so well executed. why didnt i think of that?" and now it's like "WTF? why is this even a daily deviation? it's so. .. pointless." there is a fine line between stupidity and art, i'm telling you. its like, nobody is even trying anymore. . . i dunno. i still adore my small circle of loving friends, and they still draw good art. and that's fine.

but somehow i cant shake this feeling that the world is crumbling around me. . .

I found the perfect way to get pageviews. . . FanArt. it's the answer to everything. if you draw fanart, they will come. like, it doesnt even have to be good fanart. it just has to be fan art. *evil grin* i will put this new found knowledge to good use. . . yes, here i am, selling my soul. for pageviews. gah. i'm tired of not being as good as everyone else. i'll throw in a fanart or two now and then. FOR THE PAGEVIEWS!!!

Ok! so, in a fit of StellarWind-ness, i was up all night sketching things because i felt too miserable to sleep. i'm pretty depressed and it feels like i have a huge twisted piece of metal lodged in my chest.

Foxwing is in the hospital. . . i hear he is doing better but i'm still upset. . . poor Foxwing i'll have to draw him something. . . if i had any fabric, i'd make a little stuffed foxgryph and mail it to him. . . i should go to JoAnn fabrics and ask them if they have any "foxgryph" fabric.

so. . . should i post the sketches i drew last night into scraps, or deviations? some of them are really good. . .eh i guess i'll put them into scraps. photoshop the one good picture i actually got out of last night and maybe the one good sketch.

they are all based off of songs from my new CD- "The Fray". which i actully have a copy of *frowns* because i gave the original to my boyfriend. *shrugs* oh well, cant think of a better use of a CD.

except maybe as a frisbee. . .

it helps that when i cleaned my room i arbitrated the creation of an "art box", inspired by . . . i think it is Ratrina. . . anywho she supposedly has a big box of art, and i was tired of my art kinda running around my room so i collected it all and stuffed it in a box. i organized it into 4 piles- "good art that needs to be finnished being drawn" "art that has finnished being drawn and is now being photoshopped, or needs to be scanned in" "Art that is ref" and "sketches and finnished art". the first 2 are organized by importance, so i get done what needs doing.

yay! my life is so boring.

i'm also attempting to improve my art. and the quality of it. i hope it works.

my journals always suck, don't they? damn, you should see my blog. the quintessence of pointlessness.

So.

ummm. . .

i have 2 jobs currently, i went from having none to having two *laughs* all this week i am the secretary for the high school guidance office, then the week after, i have an internship at a consulting company. . . *shrug* i get to make a website. i get paid for it. what isnt to love?

I have a new icon, i hope it is small enough, file size wise, to be my new icon. it is very pretty and i really like it.

i'm thinking of revamping some characters. like Ceres. . .i have a series i'm doing for her, in which she turns into, well, i guess basically what was originally egyptian Ceres. but is now just re-born Ceres. details to follow.

I'm also writing what i suppose is the story of my evil alter ego, moon. and me. and mere. and how we got to be what we are. basically, i use big words and imagery to tell how i'm feeling at the moment. in story form.

w/e.

my comic of course, is in progress. i'm actually playing with a lot of different styles right now, to get a feel for one or another. i've got the details of the main characters done, the story is written except for this annoying chunk near the beginning, because i have absolutely no explaination for why the chick gets kidnapped. . . oh, i still have to pick names for everyone and do the character of the prince. . .

yup. and draw the thing. that too.

and, in case you cared to know, my boyfriend remains absolutely amazing, sweet, sensitive, wonderful, and really, really sexy.

and he's actually going out with good ole psycotic me. i'm not pretty. i'm not at all sane. or interesting. but he actually likes me. and i am head over heels in love with him. (he has a poster of two kitties on his wall. how can you not love that? a guy with kitty posters? ^^ sorry, i just had to. )

life is pretty damn sweet at the moment.

ok. so i have kinda not been around. because i have kinda been busy gettin in all teh lovin with teh boyfriend that i can. but now it is summer. and teh boyfriend has a job. and Moon's lazy ass does not.

Moon's lazy ass is being taken to Hawaii for two weeks. this displeases Moon. and Moon's lazy ass. but Moon can do nothing but piss and whine and moan and complain about it.

so. while the boyfriend furthur traumatizes small children with his dashing good looks, Moon will take her arting to -10 GMT.

i return in a fortnight, on the dawn of the 4th. upon which, a day of feasting and merriment and much loving of the boyfriend will commence. upon the morrow of the day of merriment, much art will be yours to gaze upon.

translation: Moon is retarded. she will be in Hawaii for 2 weeks. she gets back at 6 in the friggin _AM on the 4th, just in time for a rockin BBQ at the boyfriends house. (a 4th of july BBQ she will be blatantly Canadian at. damn. being Canadian rocks) she will jump the Boyfriend and make love to him under the fireworks (ha ha ok not really, i can dream, riiiight?) the day after that, she will finally post some damn art.

So! i'm thinking about maybe doing a comic? like, now that i have maybe finally partially established a style, perhaps?

it's a typical story line, girl is visited by random magical creature, gets whisked away to a magical land, chaos, twisted love plots, and the like ensue.

the basis of my story is pheonixes. pheonixi. pheonix. phonics.

i'm still working out the details. but, wouldn't it be lovely? perhaps i could do i pilot page and see what ya think about it? just a basic introduction to the setting and my 5, yes, count 'em, 5 main characters?

i have the big stuff pretty much worked out on it, the main character is a girl named Eileen (heh heh heh) and her 3 male and one female "companions" ok, i guess i'll just do a pictorial introduction to the characters.

i'm excited about this.

I'm in the most curious kind of mood. . . it's quiet terrible. suddenly i got increadably fed up with "non-professional" art... why can't people just be good, and not post awful art?i know it's mean and hypocritical, but i dunno... it kinda makes me angry.

but what REALLY pisses me off is when people get all arrogant because they have a few extra page views, and suddenly they think they are the best, or something. . . and then the only time they ever talk to you anymore is when they want you to talk about their art... i mean, there is nothing wrong with liking your own art, but dont get snobby about it. i know i've done it in the past, and it's friggin annoying. yeah, i'm talking about someone in specific, but shes too damn arrogant to read my journal anymore, and thusly will never read this. oh well. it feels nice getting it out there.

and when people draw nothing but giftart for people i dont know and therefore do not care about? comeon, an original piece once in a while wouldnt kill you now, would it???

i like submachine guns.

anywho... i'm kinda confused. i have a boy friend, right? and he's REALLY sexi and increadably sweet, he's everything i've ever wanted and i absolutely love him. but at the same time, i *kinda* have a crush on this other guy. he's really hott, he looks pretty much the same as my boyfriend, but without glasses, and hes a total asshole, unlike my sweet Matty. and the past few days i've caught him checking me out. . . i dunno, is it wrong for me to get excited over this? i'd NEVER cheat on my boyfriend, and as i said, the kid's a total asshole. . . i dunno. -_- *sighs* i know, i know it's wrong. but its still ok for me to think he's attractive, right?

anyway, i've got some art to post, i'll get around to posting it eventually, but i had a HUGE english project, and i have another one as well as a history project to do... i may be busy for awhile, but i'll do what i can. i also have a super secret art type project going that is over a year in the making now. . . and its turning out fantabulous, i fear it may be the most amazing thing i'll ever create. after this one, i'll be spent.

and have you noticed to draw statues you have to not only be a artist but a sculpter? and when you want something to be amazing, and the "creators" best work, it also has to be yours? its kinda annoying.

anyway, how old do you have to be to egally posses firarms? like, for example, submachine guns? i had the most interesting dream a while ago, i had the sweetest piece, that was one sweet gun. and then yesterday, i was looking up submachine guns for some reason or another, and i saw a gun identical to the one from my dream. it was absolutely fascinating, considering i have never seen one before.

Just a minor update. . .
i hit a small art block, but thankfully!!! -

I met a new friend! and she is awesome and i'm currently colouring one of her pieces! i can't wait to have it up! colouring random art is what gets me overthese blocks.

Ugh. some days i just hate being me... She's right, i'm a friggin Pansy. Some days i love being me. but other days....

Thanx guys. i'm much better, all i needed was some sugar and some sleep. and i was kinda being too uptight, i needed to relax some. ^^ not stress, i think it was related to my paranoia (paranoia IS a mental disease, one which i have. but i made it go away years ago. it keeps trying to come back- i wont let it rule my life any more). i just had to get through this week. (*sings* I gotta get through this, i gotta get through this, i gotta make, gotta make, gotta make it through...)

Next week is gonna be absolutely KILLER- I've got the AP English exam on monday (i know, why the hell am i excited about that? 'cause i'm ready to prove i can kick ass on it. and i can, too.) new Thursday Cd comes out the 2nd, the 4th is me and Matt's 1 month anniversary... wow, it doesn't seem that long, does it? so i'm pretty excited about that. my stomach has been upset for about a month now, i haven't eaten, in like, 4 weeks. but it feels better now, i CAN EAT AGAIN! and i had a job interview go pretty good today, so that's exciting. i might FINALLY go and get my permit this weekend... i know, i know, what took me so long? and i'm wearing black again, 'cause i just remembered how much fun it can be. and Matt likes his women in black. *laughs* i can't wait for next week. i'm pretty stoked.

I got beat up by a kindergardener yesterday! i'm so ashamed! it was purely awful, i have bruises everywhere.... my wrist is killing me -_- but it's no biggie. *laughs* i just feel stupid that i....

wow, yeah, i know i havent been up too much lately.

Just posting a journal to get rid of that last one really. i had a pretty good day today, i got to watch a movie about how whales turned into whales. i didnt do much work, and i got to see Matt, that makes any day amazingly nice. (yeah, just for reference Matt is my boyfriend. in case you didnt know. we also call him Johnney and Andrew for no apparent reason.) he kissed me on the cheek! i dont think i've ever had a relationship move this fast, i've known him for, like, what, a week? but it feels like i have known him forever.

*clears throat* anyway....

i'm working on just some little pictures and a HUGE masterpiece that has been at least 2 years in the making (um, yeah, it's called she lost the sketches and found them a week ago OUCH! why'd you step on my paw?

i'm in an art slump right now. i also havent been eating too well or sleeping well either. but i'm not too worried i can tell you solidly the last night i actually slept well was November 20th, 2005. my cat, one of my best friends, was desperately ill and passed away. i havent been able to sleep for a LONG while.

4) What's his/her race?: 1/2 wolf, 1/4 pheonix, 1/4 dragon

Appearance:
1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get?: depends what form she's in, straigh up wolf wouldnt cause TOO much trouble, but in her more extreme moments, she'd scare the crap out of people

2) Is your character considered normal in his/her own world?: Were not sure what world shes from, exactly, so i can't answer that.

3) What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)?: 3 scars across her left eye (Meji has similar marks, i'm working on a picture called "master Stroke" showing how it happened) Her fluffy wings that are apparently on fire, the strap across her muzzle (it has a band of wrought iron in it, holding her in her wolf form), her brand.

4) Would you consider your OC as attractive?: well, she would consider herself atttractive.

Personality:
1) Temper: depends on the mood you catch her in. mostly she does whats the best for herself, sometimes she'll joke with you to the point where she gets annoying, and sometimes she'll rip your throat out for breathing near her.

2) Does your character ever get depressed?: Yes, when she thinks about her relationship problems. she cant keep a good partner, and she thinks she isnt made for love and she can never have true love. thats enough to depress anyone.

3) Leader or Follower?: shes a loner.

4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality?: her self-concern, and her love for her half brother.


History:
1) Does your OC have a family of any sort? If so, are they still alive?: Ceres is decended from a long line. her great grandmother was a fallen Goddess in the form of a wolf, her grandmother was named "Child of a Fallen Sun" and was half goddess herself. her mother is of questionable blood, as is Ceres herself. Ceres has a half-brother from an increadably pure-blooded line, Xavion Blitzanger, the only one who can rightfully claim the name of Blitzanger (and a throw back to Fallen Sun, with the strongest "magical" ability), and Mejornir her half-sister, half wolf, half dragon. They are all from the same mother with different fathers. Their mother was killed by Xavion's family, who did not approve of the relationship, but Mejornir thinks Ceres did it.

2) Is your character out on his/her own? If so, why?: Yes, she fears that Mejornir will come after her and try to kill her out of revenge for their mother.

3) Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?: Mejornir's accusation of murdur, being captured and tortured (giving the "heart stone" to White Ceres for safe keeping in the process, the scars on her chest are from where she ripped it out)

4) What was probably the best time in his/her life so far?: Probably meeting her current mate, befriending Never, any time she spends with Xavion is good to, she dearly loves her half brother.

I've been on DA for TWO WHOLE YEARS now.

And i've loved every minute of it.

i'm not really much in an art mood of late, i'm kinda... love sick. the worst kind of illness. i've got some stuff to put up, a new piccy of Mere (heh heh) two old piccyz of Ceres, 2 piccyz for Buggy, and i'm working on my christmas piccyz still as well as some gift art and about 4 new characters, including Kaptan Kat (my smexi french tiger man) and Salvation (my pretty lion), not to mention my black weasel ^^. i think i might have a new ID some time as well, Sukas is amazing, but it's kinda.... to wide.

i met some one new! raphi! ^^ i like him, he's very nice. not a patch on my Midnight tho.

and schools back.. ugh. AOL is acting as evil as ever, so if i haven't been reading journals, it's cause AOL wont let me see half of them. it blocks mostly Underpants, Foxwings and Buggys.

i'm also thinking of another contest, but i'm not sure about that one. i have the prizes for the other one done, but i need to post them, and my scanner is all tuckered out and isn't doing so well of late. so i'll do what i can when i can. i also owe 2 ppl art. but like i said, i'll do only as much as i can,. but then i'll have to stop. not by choice, you understand....

looks like i'm not gonna have a valentine again this year, but i'm ok with that. last year Sarah Cupcake Lady was my Valentine, but she hasn't been around lately.... so this year i'll fly solo, and prolly next year as well, until my Salvation shows up. which is ok with me, he's Hott. lol, if you have to ask he loves me and i'll fall in love with him when we meet (until then my heart belongs to my Midnight) but i haven't run across him as of yet, so... i'll wait here loving Midnight (who will never even know i exist, ah, unrequited love) *laughs* not too complicaed, huh?

ok! but seriously. I haven't been posting much, sry about that. i've been feeling under the weather and everyone keeps telling me i have Mono.... but i don't. i also have been busy playing with my new christmas gifts instead of doing my art like a good lil thing. i have a couple of screenshots from the Sims i wanna post. and did i mention Luigi's masion is HARD? anyway.... mabe i just suck at video games. im also supposedly getting Photoshop CS... but i dunno if thats really happening yet.

it's also "een toetweek" next week, as Seiryuu once put it, so i have to study. *snorts* riiiiight. study. anywayz, tests are evil.

you guys need to stop postng. everytime i sighin it's like "HOLY CRAP! 85 MESSAGEZ!!! OMGZ!!"

For Prizes, i am working on Pinion's already (it's not what she is expecting nor what she wants)
I'm also trying to finnish up Cosako's Kiriban... i found it in my room while cleaning the other day...
I'm also still working on my trade with Embers, Water colours are harder then they look. -_-

Howdy!

but before i get to the contest winners, i would like to say a HUGE THANKYOU to everyone who entered, for bearing with my madness and indecisiveness, ect ect. . .

The Critter's name is Mere by the way.

Mere isn't her full name, and she has 3 colour phases. each phase has a bit different name. her Grey Phase's name, however, is Silver Moon's Mere.

Her name is mere in the sense of the word meaning a standing body of water, so called mere after the word mirror, as they were so still they reflected everything in their sight.

her name is also slightly in the other 3 or 4 senses. Vaugely meaning "borderland", "to sparkle", and "nothing more then". and of course, the final meaning, derived from french, is "part". a VERY fitting name for my inner dragon, wouldn't you agree?
