it was my first day of college today [sept.2nd]! i have to admit, it's not very different from high school [so far, at least].. today was pretty regular. we just went over outlines and rules in class so there's nothing really to say about it lol
i met up with my friends at lunch so that made me happy

it was nice to see some familiar faces in such a big campus

and as you might have noticed, i finally uploaded a new deviation! i feel like something is missing on it [maybe another shade in her hair.. or maybe her skin is too pale] well.. go see it! >> [link] <<

To celebrate the first mini-convention being launched by a blossoming new organization, ACG North America is holding its first contest!

ACGNA is an organization striving to spread and promote the Pop Cultural world of the three genres to North America, where it is not as predominant as it is in East Asia. For more information, please visit: ACG North America

The Contest!

To help promote the word and nature of ACGNA, we are hosting an Illustration Contest! The winning entries will be turned into staff T-shirts, buttons, and banners for the company (and such sorts). Contest entries will be required to draw the official ACG Mascot and incorporate one OR all three themes of anime, comic and gaming.

Who is the Mascot?

ACGNAÂs mascot is Anzu Chigusa. A darling girl who really gets excited over her hobbies (anime, comics, games) and has high community spirit. Anzu loves to promote her hobbies to encourage the young and the old to get together with friends and family to enjoy time with one another and to share the same interests.

[Don't worry so much about hair and eye colour. The hair can range any where from brown, to orange, to red.
And the eyes can be blue, or green, etc...(but not something completely off like.. pink]

What are the Expectations?

Â· Entries must showcase the mascot, Anzu Chigusa. But you are free to add in any of your own or other characters from games, comics, or anime (Disney excluded). However, no copyrighted images may be used, the image must be 100% your work.

Â· Entries must include the URL of ACGNA, acgnorthamerica.com, somewhere in the image.

Â· Entries must incorporate one OR all of the three themes: anime, comic, gaming.

Â· You may dress Anzu in whatever outfit you wish as long as you stick with the ACG colours: Orange, Brown, White, however it is more preferred that you draw her in her official outfit.

Â· Degrading or inappropriate entries will be deemed invalid.

Â· Entries can be done in any medium; however, the final submission must be digitally mailed, therefore, Online Entries Only.

Â· Entries submitted must have the minimum resolution size of 8.5x11Â (300DPI) or 2550x3000 pixels ready to provide. However, the entries you choose to submit may of course be a reduced preview size.

Â· All contestants must be 13 or over in order to participate.

Â· You may submit more than one entry.

Â· By submitting the entries, you are legally entitling ACGNA to use your images for its purpose.

1. Please upload your entries onto deviantART or other public image hosting websites (we would like to promote the word of ACGNA)

2. Send an email to: contest1@acgnorthamerica.com with:

Subject title: ACGNA CONTEST ENTRY
Content: URL(s) linked to your uploaded entry.

Please DO NOT add attachments unless you were specifically asked to provide a higher resolution of the entries. (and please DO NOT send either =Kaze-Hime or =Qinni entries by dA's Note System!! They won't read them!)

The Submission Deadline is: September 15th, 2008, 6PM EST (Toronto, ON, Canada time zone)

Winning entries will be announced as soon as possible. All decisions are final.

i've been here for a week now and it's just event after event

there hasn't been a day where there hasn't been something to do and i love it! the heat is a little unbearable at times but i get through it haha
but yeah, this is why i haven't been as active on dA as usual but i'll be back soon!

btw, how cool is deviantART v6?? i love it! i was gonna get a subscription for two reasons: the message managing and the CSS i would have been able to use on my journals. v6 took care of one of those and i think i can live with that! so i guess in the long run it was a good thing that no one knew what to do with paypal haha!

anyways! time to head on out once more! see yah!

my highschool career is over today.. it's sad really. at first i was excited to be finished with school but now that the end is finally here, its sort of a bittersweet moment. well, i guess i could always focus on the diploma exams that start tomorrow..

so quick question! anyone here have paypal? i just made an account but i have no idea what to do next DX~ i tried to "Add a Bank" or something like that lol and i am just lost as to what they're asking me.. so if anyone has a paypal account that they use could you please tell me how you went about adding your information? i am seriously wandering around a deserted place without a map.. help?

so the weather here has been rather irksome. hot and sunny one day, snowing the next, chance of showers later on, cloudy, sunny again.. ughh! its so exhausting. what ever happened to the simple Âapril showers brings may flowers?Â .. i dont see anything in there talking about april snowstorms..

update on my art! XD i know its been a really long time since i uploaded my first deviation [thanks to all the faves and comments on that btw
