This is why we have things like spell check on word processor programs. But unfortunately if the spell check doesn’t catch it then I’m sure as h@!! not going to notice. So if your perusing my gallery or reading one of my journals I would like you to bear in mind that me and the English language don’t get along, and that I’m well aware of that fact.
I’m still stalled out on my comic “Cedar” but only because I’m busy helping several friends with their projects. And even though that sounds like a downer it’s really not. I have never had so much fun helping others, it’s actually liberating to not be in total creative control, and not just because it also means your not in total responsibility (but that can be nice too). Hearing genuine gratitude coming form someone you respect is a great feeling.
It’s so much better to hear thanks from some one who can’t pay you for your help, than if you are obligated by contract or commission to do the work for them. A thanks like that comes form the heart and you can feel the difference.
Also people tend to be a lot more willing to help you if you’ve helped them in the past. So if you see an opportunity to help some who can’t pay you for your time jump at it rather than shrug it off. You might have to push yourself out of our comfort zone and you may not get a metal for you good dead but it is still worth it.

Their were so many art galleries and shops with cool antiques that I thought my head would explode. Not to mention the sweet jazz clubs and street performers, all of witch did not suck.
The weather was cool in the evening and a steady wind made the heat of the day not so bad. We got to see a live performance at “ Preservation Hall” (witch I will remember till the day I die) and even though only one ceiling fan out of four was working, the heat did not stop it from being a packed house. I bought their CD.
I can’t explain all the beauty that is the south, and all the magic that is New Orleans, you’ll just have to go see it for yourself.

Ok, ok, I’ve been slacking on making more comic pages for “Cedar”. I didn’t set out to slack off but it just keeps happening. It seams I always have a reason not to work on the new pages, and at that time they always seam legit. Most (all) of my drawings this last 2 months have started at work during a break witch is good cuz I’m using my time well at my 9-5, but it also means when I bring it home to touch up and finish, it takes time away from comic pages. On top of that I’ve taken on more outside work helping my friend paint a mural and that eats two or more nights a week. So I’m really sorry that I don’t have the commitment to
Cedar that he deserves, and I am working on new pages but it’s going to be a really long time before I post them.

So how am I doing?
it's hard to judge how well this is being received by everyone due to the huge number of people on this site both submitting work and browsing. the activities of one little member can easily go unnoticed. It’s an advantage to have access to all of you but you have to really dig to find an individuals work in all this mess. I’ve sent people to this site and some have not been able to find me until I give them my specific address.
Lame.
If I try to use this space to post pages of a comic would anyone even see them?
It’s not that I don’t appreciate the few people who do come here, you have been a great encouragement to me but I think there is something that I’m not doing to get more people to come and check out my art.
