Yay! A little incentive for me to upload more art, and others get fee art!

The first 10 people that comment in this journal get a free sketch of anything they desire! I'm still going to stay within dA's rules, and the sketches can be with a maximum of three characters, including a background. If you get a slot in the list, then in return you have to post the offer of 10 free sketches in YOUR journal.
Well, I haven't uploaded another Bloodstone Manor page in over a week. Not because I don't have any written and typed up. I have at least another fifty that don't need revision sequentially coming up, plus much more further on down the road. The problem is that at the rate I was previously uploading, 3 pages a day average (or basically 90 pages a month... Although it actually was a tad lower than that), I would reach the end of my sequentially stuff shortly, and my buffer would be gone. When I started uploading the pages I not only had a lot to upload, but I also had a muse watching over me, letting me write and revise a whole lot more. That muse has stopped inspiring more Bloodstone Manor pages.

I have the basic outline for all of the chapters/arcs, but not all of the individual pages. So, instead I'm going to scale back a little to allow myself more time to advance the script. I want to update regularly (even if I don't have it illustrated right now), but I need to keep a buffer in order to do so. Anyway, I plan on uploading four pages a week, and I will probably continue to upload at that rate until I have the series typed all on my computer. At that time I'll be uploading a page a day.

As I had said above, my creative influences and drives have stopped inspiring more Bloodstone Manor pages. However, having mild A.D.D. (Or A.D.H.D., because that term wasn't common when I was diagnosed, so I'm not sure which it is technically), I get what is called a Flight of Ideas. My symptoms aren't so bad that I can't typically concentrate on a task, but I basically multitask and think of additional stuff, usually pertaining to my stories. I have about 60 various series (about a third novels, short stories and novel series, and the rest comics, manga and graphic novels), a couple musicals, some random songs and a bit more that I've currently got some work done on. Unfortunately I can't type it all up due to time constraints, but Bloodstone Manor was the first of several that I started uploading to my computer. My creative influences lately, however, have driven me to work on a couple songs; a musical I've currently titled, "Till death do we start"; one of my favorite novels (fifty pages previously written, the first in a series); and another manga series I've currently code-named "Metal Mage". No, it's not a FMA fan series, but it was influenced by and does reference from A LOT of different works, including FMA, Negima, various Neil Gaimen and Larry Niven works, and countless hours of reading and research. Right now I have little script to it, but I'm getting a lot os inspiration for it lately.

That's pretty much the major news related to my online status and why I've been getting slower on updating. I'll be putting up the four BM pages for this week as well as the four for next week up on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'd do it sooner, but I'm a tad preoccupied with work and various other things, and those are my two days off. As far as work goes, yes I still work at Hell-Mart. I've actually been interviewed for two supervisor positions, but the manager in charge of making the decision is indecisive and slow to action. So, stuck waiting to find out. I hope I get one of the two since even though I'd most likely have to work mornings instead, it'd mean more money. Which I could use.

Webcomic I'm linking to tonight is F.O.G. Club: [link] Just read it. It was the third webcomic I had ever read. The art is decent in the beginning and gets better as the story moves along. It's really a fan comic of a whole lot of things, but it has it's own plot and could stand alone even if one hasn't read or seen the works to which the comic references. I'm not going to give away any of the plot, just read it. Now. ... What are you still doing here?! Go! [link]

BTW. Is anyone who watches me on Second Life? Let me know! I'm having a lot of fun with it!

Grin on, loyal lackies, and I'll catch you on the flipside soon.

Script for Bloodstone Manor's hundred-and-first page, "Your Ticket, Please?" is online! So, I've uploaded the pages for tonight, it's over a hundred now, I've been up for hours, and I'm tired. I'm going to go to sleep before I start babbling and accidentally say something stupid like Candlejack's na-

^(If you don't get the joke: [link] )

Anyway, I've also been watching a lot of Paul Robertson's incredible animations, watching O.N.E. ([link]), watching hilarious animated gifs and swfs, and listening to Boot To The Head by The Frantics.

[link] is Comangled Productions' dA group page. Not to be confused with [link] , which is also made of awesome.

Sam and Fuzzy is the webcomic I'm linking to in this journal! [link] Reading from the start one can see the artist and literary growth it has undergone, but it still keeps it all to the heart of the matter regardless of its evolution. Killer Ninja Mafia, Psychotic Bears and more! Just read it. Now. It makes the most sense to start at the beginning, since even a few more minor things did end up becoming more important later on. There is a lot to read through if you haven't yet. Read it! [link]

Well, I'm tired. I'm beat. And I'm crashing so I can work tomorrow at Hell-Mart in preparation for inventory on Tuesday. *Dies* Actually, it's my third one, so it's not so bad... G'Night all you out there still sailing the infinite seas of thar interwebs! Stay frosty! I'll do my best to update more pages as I have been doing. I know you do not forget. You do not forgive. It's a multi-genre comic that'll illustrate best in manga-style, but read left to right. It's planned to run about two-thousand pages, spread over twelve volumes and about sixty chapters. I've currently got three hundred pages written, a little over half of them consecutive. The rest are from various chapters in the series. The entire thing is plotted out, just working on refining it.

I'm also working on a few other series, a couple books, and administrating Comangled Productions. Really, I could go on and fill up more than one journal on the comic, but I'm not going to. Just read it. Now. If you haven't before, start at the beginning. I've got all the currently printed pages in bound format (one volume even signed!), and I have saved every single page as well. Simply stupendous work. Updates are a bit more sporadic now, but there is a lot to read through if you haven't yet. Read it! [link]

Well, grin on, loyal lackies, and I'll catch you on the flipside soon.

Okay, here it is! The journal post I was talking about before! XD This journal is intended for the as-of-yet unnamed group/team/etc I've been starting up, which many people have responded to in the forum thread. Here are the three main goals of this post:

1. To find a name for the group.
2. To decide on how to best communicate and expedite interactivity between members.
3. To nominate stories for the group's first main project(s).

I'll be listing my ideas/nominations in the first reply to the journal, but I want the group to nominate and vote. I may be the initiator of this group, but I'm not the one in charge. The people are. I'll hold this journal open for two days for nominations and ideas, to make sure people have time respond to it. Things posted to this journal post deadline might be commented on, but they won't affect the outcome.

1]. Nominations for group name shall begin henceforth. I'm thinking something to do with comics, art, community and a sense of identity. Please respond with your ideas and nominations!

2]. The group should have a site, forum or page where our works can be displayed, where members can communicate about group activities, where critiques can be given, and where general interactivity shall happen. Some ideas have been to create a forum off dA, to create a dA group page, and to create a chat room on dA. Please bring your ideas forward so we may decide as a group where we shall do the most of our communal efforts.

3]. The first project. A comic strip or book series, in any genre, style, or format decided upon by the group. As a whole, the group shall not be posting works above dA's mature rating on dA, but if the group mostly convenes off dA, the group will have to decide in terms of content. I'm thinking the group will probably not be able to get more than one or two pages completed a week at this stage, and I'm thinking each project should last a maximum of one month unless the group decides to continue with the same series. This way other talents will be given a chance to gain experience and attention.

Further information shall be decided by the group, and moderated by staff/members who are willing to answer questions (once the group has made a decision in regard to said scenario, or if it already has). I shall be the first of said moderators. If any other members wish to share these tasks, even in minor amounts, please let me know either in this journal, on my main page, or via note.

One thing I think I should mention: I think that the main projects run by the group should not include copy-written characters unless a member working on the project owns the copyright. Why? It might take a while, but if the group becomes skilled enough to be making money from our efforts, we don't want to be sued because we don't have permission to do something. And I definitely think it'd be a downer if we got sued. XD

Can't change the mood setting, so ignore that. Anyway, can't get the Halo CE server thing to work, so if someone happens to spot me online sometime and wants to play... Just ask. XD Now, I understand this is a looong post, but I'm hoping someone who watches me will at least read it, and, hopefully be able to at least give me advice.

Okay... Let's see... I haven't posted a new journal for a month because, well, I haven't had anything to say. Today, however, I'm uploading three pieces to my gallery. Truth be told, despite my inane attempts to dissuade myself, I realize that I'm not really that much of an artist. At least not graphically. The thing is, I write. A lot. Novels, plays, short stories, and-you guessed it-comics. And while I might not have the artistic skill, I still write a lot of comic series in the hopes that I might one day get a skilled artist to collaborate with me on them.

Towards that end I have been writing hundreds of pages split between various series. And I have made concept sketches, character designs, languages, architectural experimentations, culinary endeavors and a few things that I'm not at liberty to say due to the Geneva convention. (Okay, just kidding about that last one...) With that in mind, I'm planning on spending a good chunk of my free time towards scanning, formatting and uploading a lot of these to my gallery. Hopefully, after posting enough information and reference material, I'll be able to get an artist to work with me. For more than just fifteen pages.

To be quite honest, if I had the money, I'd just go hire someone to illustrate each of my comics. But, alas, I work enough to get by on my budget and a little else, but not enough to pay a "reasonable rate" for the pages. ($35-55 a page for something less than professional, quick-turn-around work just doesn't sound reasonable to me. Sorry. Oh, wait-I'm not.) If possible it'd be best to get a group of like minded people together to form a studio of sorts, and to publish one-to-three titles, each updating at least three times a week. But I've yet to find anyone interested on any of the other art sites I've tried. DeviantArt is my next shot. I'm going to give it a shot on the forums tonight (or is it morning...?), but I'm not going to just wait for my box to fill up with replies.

Instead, as I said earlier, I'm going to post a lot of stuff to my gallery to show how earnest I am-despite my illustrative shortcomings-in my endeavors. I wouldn't mind starting a comics revolution, but getting a group of like-minded individuals to work together consistently would be more than enough. So, that's my big spiel. I guess I'll just post about this month's comic read and go hide in a corner now.

This journal, I'm linking to Fragile Gravity: [[link] I just read through to the current page this evening, and I enjoyed it immensely. Unfortunately I just found out about it last week, and I find out that they're in their last storyline arc now! Included are your daily servings of extra bitter stoat (not a typo, btw), evil penguins, sci-fi noir undead detectives, henshin librarian heroes, and so much more. You should really read it. Like, now. I mean it. Go now my lackies! [[link]

Well, grin on, loyal lackies, and I'll catch you on the flipside soon.

Well, three days ago I finally got Halo Combat Evolved for my PC, then downloaded the Custom Edition add-on. And it is awesome! I really wish that there were more people on at a time, but what can you do? I can't get people to join my server, so I tend to move from server to server in search of a good match. I prefer CTF, Team Slayer and KOTH, but I'll play deathmatch or other types if I get bored. I'm not on at the moment, but my server is "Grin And Bear It...", and my handle is "grinmore". If you play, look for me sometime and maybe we could team up against Moog or something. Here's hoping.

Also, who likes Bunker Babies? Any comments?

With every journal, I intend to post a link to a webcomic that I highly recommend. Starting off with this journal, I'm linking to Mill City Fiasco: [link] Created by , MCF is a hilarious comic full of puns and wordplay. You should really read it. Like, now. I mean it.
Grinmore: A man of most infinite jest, creature of comedy, the jack of jokes, the laughter lord. Or maybe just a guy with the urge to diverge.

Simply put, folks, I'm a simple man just looking for a laugh, and hopefully, to have other laugh along with me. I'm mostly a writer of comedy, although I do branch out into other genres as well, and I dabble with the illustrative arts.

If any have any questions for me, feel free to ask. I'm not really sure what else to add to describe myself.

With every journal, I intend to post a link to a webcomic that I highly recommend. Starting off with this journal, I'm linking to Breakfast Of The Gods: [link] I just read through to the current page yesterday, and I have to say that I'm seriously impressed. It's like a cereal version of The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen! The art is indulgently balanced, and the exquisite writing perfectly blends the various cereal icons without them becoming soggy or stale. A hearty read to go with your healthy balanced breakfast, or in my case, junk food. You should really read it. Like, now. I mean it. Go now my lackies! [link]

Well, grin on, loyal lackies, and I'll catch you on the flipside soon.
