Everytime I've told you about something happening with an iPhone I've been telling you and it happens a couple of months later. This is because I know someone "on the inside" ;)

If you are wondering about an iPhone 5, I can confirm that it will be here in June. I can't tell you what will be new about it but I can say that 3 prototypes were made and 1 of them had a slide out keyboard, however I doubt that would catch on. It would make it thicker and Apple are going down the thinner route on everything.

A couple of months ago I got myself a puppy. She has just turned 6 months old. Unlike most other puppies her age, she is massive. To be expected with a Scottish Deerhound though :p

She has this annoying habit of deciding to bug the shit out of you. She starts by trying to grab your arms, legs or ears with her mouth. If you pull away she then smacks you with her stupidly large paws and then starts barking at you. The day I have not been looking forward too has arrived. The 30th is my last day as GM. As from the 1st I will be walking amongst the community as 'mrrste not ^mrrste.

Let me give you a quick run down of my day today. I woke up in a nice warm comfy bed, leaned over to switch my TV and DVD player off that I fell asleep watching then grabbed my iPhone to check for messages and missed calls. Prejudice against people with mental health issues seems to sadly be increasing. While attitudes towards sexuality, ethnicity etc are improving, people with mental health problems are finding the stigma harder to overcome.

From the age of 15 I have had anxiety issues which have changed as I have got older. When I was 15 I attended a special centre for children with mental health difficulties ie OCD, Anorexia etc. I stayed there 5 nights a week and came home on weekends and I did this for 6 months. My parents and I decided that if I wanted the best help and fast, this was the best option. ......of XP? I'm trying to figure out if it is really worth me making skins for XP anymore, well, adding a substyle anyway.

When it was XP and Vista it was fine. Usually I created my skin as an XP skin then added a substyle and added the extras for Vista but now we have Windows 7. It would mean creating the XP skin, adding a substyle for vista and then adding a substyle from Vista to do 7 stuff. Skinning for 3 Operating Systems, each with different layouts is quite a long task.

Has 7 been so big a hit that most who didn't bother with Vista and stayed on XP, now went too 7? Flicking through my TV I come to the religious channels. Usually I like to have a peek when nothing else is on because they amuse the hell out of me. Well not quite :p

I stopped doing mac ports to concentrate on my own designs but I'm feeling a little nostalgic so I've decided to come out of "retirement" do a couple more for old times sake. I have got permission to bring 2 mac themes over to windows. Expect Nico Mini Powder and Argon :dance:

Remember when I asked for suggestions for sections to be added to skins and themes? well, since then things have changed. There are new apps and now unused ones. This is where I need your help ;-)

I will be throwing together a mock of the section with new categories added, unused ones removed and some move arounds. I need you guys to give me suggestions on what categories you would like to see added. I must stress that there is no timetable for this happening, this is all me but I want to be ready for when it does ;-)

After exactly 1 whole month, I have finally finished my Star Wars Storm Trooper skin :dance:

The XP version has the animations for deleting, copying etc that I never usually do and the Vista version looks better :p . I have to say that it is possibly my most useable skin I've created. Now all I have to do is create a preview for it and get it posted. Once that is done, it's on to doing a Darth Vader skin :-)

That's right, I'm all done! Done what? I used my time to go through the entire skins & themes section, as far back as 2004, and cleaned them up of every single miscat post there was :D

It now means that everything is where it should be and you can browse the gallerys and see only what you are looking for. Go ahead, give them a whirl ;-) It took me 3 days, 4 hours each day to complete so friggin enjoy it lol

Approximately 1 hour ago, my dog attacked me when I was playing with him. The attack has left me with 7 deep puncture wounds to the back of head, 4 puncture wounds requiring stitches on my back, the tip of my thumb needing glued back down and various other wounds across my hands. I have a deerhound, and for those who know what one is, they are mini horses so I'm kinda lucky to come away with what I have ;-)

Over the space of the year, there has been hundreds and hundreds of skins submitted but some have stood out more than others, for me anyway. So, in an attempt to be awesome and clever I have selected my favourite 25 skins from the course of the year. Why 25? I hear you say. Christmas is on the 25th. That's where my attempt at being clever falls into play :mwahaha: I don't really need to attempt to be awesome, that comes naturally.

I said I was going to post a newsletter but it's more fitting for my journal, so here goes ;-)

I've had just over 3 months to settle in as a Gallery Director, see what's going on and get used to things. In that time I have conducted 6 interviews, submitted 5 newsletters, awarded 7 Daily Deviations, cleaned out all miscats, structured and planned a new galley layout (soon to be implemented) and submitted 6 guikits and skins. Not to mention still help run my own jointly owned site and planning to be working with another LARGE community (more info on that later :P)

I used to do this with Avetunes but in all honesty, it was just to add something extra to a pack or I would create one to submit between submitting guikits. Those Avetunes days are now long gone for me. Anyone who has skinned something like avetunes, styler toolbar, miranda etc know that the worst part of it is actually the coding. Many find an existing skin, change the images to fit around the existing code or actually alter some of the mind numbing code. You would need

I've had a few people asking about the gallery re-structure. At the mo, it's on pause. All efforts are being focused on the launch of DA V6 and some new things to help keep the gallerys clean. Don't worry, it will be getting done ;-)

Please continue to report miscats. You probably noticed I ain't been dealing with them though. Here is why. First of all, we believe in categories. We like tags, we want tags, we're building tags for deviantART but we will maintain a category structure and category browsing. Time to let you guy's know what is going on with the Skins & Themes section. I got a lot of people making suggestions for changes after I put the idea forward. I already had a plan of what I wanted to see happen but wanted more input because i'm not the only one who uses the section ;-)

I went through every single category and compiled a very large list to determine what can stay, what can go and whats needed adding, while taking into account all the feedback from you guys. I drew up a plan (it was freaken huge :p) and sent it for approval. Deploy a poop because it was approved :boogie:

So whats changing?
