This is after a PHENOMENAL year in Israel - WOW! So that's all being squeezed out into kids' camps and activities and fun things for the Reform Jewish community here.
So, this is my first entry from ISRAEL!!! It's pretty weird...Didn't think I'd havethe chance to be online terrbily often while here. But timing has proved otherwise!

I'm in Israel for a gap year programme thing...Although I hate called in a 'gap year' or a 'year off'. It's more like a 'filled year' or a 'year on'. Call me pedantic...

It's gonna be such a great year...It's been great so far, and I've only been here a month!

The first four months are study-based; I'm at a campus named Kiryat Moriah on a programme named Machon doing a number of classes to build my leadership skills for my movement - Netzer. There are classes on Hebrew and Jewish History and Israel's History and Zionism and Israel Advocacy and Jews in Film and and and... Intense, but awesome

The next two months I'm gonna be volunteering - possibly at a school or maybe the Jerusalem zoo...We'll see what happens...

The last three months I'll be on a kibbutz. Hopefully kibbutz Yahel in the South (right near the kibbutz that makes the most AMAZING chocolate drink called Shoko...Mmmm...*drool*)

It's gonna be a great year!!!
Yaaaaaay!!!

I'm struggling to find a good book at the moment.
I've been disappointed by the last few. Especially by those of which I had high expectations. *sigh*
Any suggestions?

Perhaps it's punishment for reading instead of working for these final exams...*shrug*

I'm on a bit of a karma crusade. As in, believing it. I was kinda doubtful before, but I think I'm warming to the idea. Good energy + positive vibes = more good energy and more positive vibes for you and others. Methinks it works!

But now the only kind of positive vibe-ing I can handle is that which involves a bed and a warm duvet. Yay! Time to go doo doos...

Ok, moan over.
Ridiculous journal. I know. But the other one had been up for absolute months. Hence the change.

It seems that whenever chocolate enters our household, it disappears sooner that it arrived. Without fail, whenever chocolate, be it a slab or a small bar or an Easter egg or a gift package, arrives, it is devoured within a time frame that seems to consist merely of seconds.

Examples of note:

Case study 1:
Last night we had some friends round for supper. They brought a rather large box of Woolworths chocolates - similar to those of a Quality Streets or Passions box. Point being, they're good. Do any remain but twenty-four hours after the present was given? Thanks to the greedy lot of us, no.

Case study 2:
This morning I accompanied my friend on the piano at a small concert. The organisers presented us each with a bunch of flowers and a box of Cote D'Or chocolates in thanks. Not even twelve hours later, how many remain in a box that once housed twenty-four? Six. SIX! WHERE did they all disappear to?

Case study 3:
(In fact, case studies 3 'til about thirty-nine...)
My mom buys a slab of chocolate. When the family requests dessert other than fruit after supper, the slab is produced and subsequently ripped to shreds by the hordes (all four of us in the family).

WHY are we so addicted to chocolate? I think we must be genetically programmed to eat and eat and eat and...
One day I shall overcome the urge. ONE day! *feels triumphant*
...
*knows that, in her family, this is impossible and begins to feel depressed*

*wanders off to find comfort food in the form of chocolate*

...

(I've been in a bit of an odd mood all day...)

Like wow...

It's certainly been a while since I've been here properly...
Life is hectic - even during school holidays! It's always good to get a chance to crash and just zone out of all responsibility and "omg-I-have-to-get-such-and-such-done"s...That doesn't happen often enough!

*sigh*

So Tamara got me all hyped about dA again - thanks mate
Perhaps attendence will be upped now, but in all honesty, Life happens, and who knows...
But I'll try! Promise! Seeing incredible work really puts me in an amazing mood, so thank you all for that, unknown to you as it is

Or there's a little thing that made you smile and no one else knew about it and you just keep smiling to yourself? Had quite a few of those in the last couple of days...

Walking through the rain,
Hearing my mom hum while she arranged these amazing pink flowers this afternoon
Finding a great quote that's really apt and inspiring.

It's really cool, coz it means you don't have to explain yourself or justify your happiness - it just is and that's enough.

I'm gonna try and work something like this into my next art prac; "Inspired by Literature". Am hoping to use this quote I know:

"Live the questions, love the quest."
Or, because The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver is our current setwork and I really like Adah's character,
"Quest the love, question the life."

Hopefully something inspiring will come my way...
'Til that happens...
