So, I haven't been drawing much lately because I've been completely lacking inspiration. Not to mention, things have been a little crazy lately, and when I have time to myself, I just want to laze around instead of draw... It's been making me rather sad, actually.

So.

Why is it that when massive inspiration FINALLY hits me again, IT WAS RIGHT WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO GO TO BED?? -_- I was going to be good today and go to bed at a semi-reasonable hour, (8am) but all of a sudden, there's a bunch of things I want to draw. And I'm scared that I won't feel like it later. ><

I hope I get to eat sushi later today. :'D

I'm going out of town tomorrow night for a wedding, and I'll be there all weekend! It's kind of exciting because I don't travel much, and I've never been to Kansas City. :3 But I have to wear a dress to the wedding, which doesn't sound like a big deal to most people, but I haven't worn a dress in 7 years. >< I don't like them, they aren't my style. But oh well. :'D It will still be fun.
The last few days have been craziness. I through off my sleeping schedule by going to bed ubber early, and then it was murder trying to get back on track. I think I'm good now though.

Oh wait, to normal people, I'm NOT working early, because 1:30pm is when normal people wake up, and when they wake up, they say, "My goodness, it's past 1pm! I really slept in! D:"

I'm just weird cause I stay up until the wee hours of the morning. And I'm sad because I can't do that tonight. >_< But it's okay, I'm just going to strive to get a couple of commissions done before I go to bed. *sigh*
Mostly I wanted to post a journal because I wanted to prove I was still alive. I haven't posted a journal in forever, because I have been hopelessly and ridiculously addicted to the facebook app Pet Society. I mean, really addicted. Which is weird because the game is so freaking pointless. But I don't even care! I want that seventh room, dammit!! XDDDD

I guess that's not entirely true. I hate that I HAVE to sleep. But sleeping in of itself is lovely. Sometimes I just wish that I didn't have to sleep or feel tired, so that I could get more done. For example, I really wish I didn't have to go to sleep soon, but I work in 7 hours. o_O

For the last two days I've been totally addicted to Pet Society and Restaurant City on Facebook. Like, utterly addicted. @_@ What's terrible is that during my addiction, I completely forgot about my art shop, in which there are several pending commissions I've been neglecting. Oh boy. -_- I need to get on that.

That movie certainly sparked the fangirl within me. Regardless of my love for Harry Potter, though, I'll always love the Malfoys. <3 <3 <3

Oh my lord. It's been a rough couple of days. @__@

Nearly 48 hours ago, I came downstairs to let my dog outside. Firstly, I noticed that she wasn't on her favorite love seat... I found her in her bed, and she looked at me with a tilted head. When she got out of her bed and walked to me, she was off balance and veering to a specific side; her eyes were slightly flicking in their sockets.

For those who don't know me personally, let me tell you this: my dog has been my best friend and family member since I was 8 years old, so, for 14 years now. Needless to say, I panicked. About an hour later, we were driving to the emergency clinic, since all normal vet clinics were closed for the day.

The emergency vet clinic didn't do squat for me. Duchess (my dog) was acting complete normally aside from her balance and headtilt, but the vet wasn't giving me any answers, and advised that I leave her at the clinic for 72 hours so they could hook her up to some fluids and start treating her for motion sickness, although she wasn't exhibiting any signs of motion sickness. Eventually, I told the vet that I didn't want to do that, because it didn't seem right. I told her I would take Duchess to my normal (and beloved) vet clinic in the morning and see what they had to say.

Last night was probably one of the worst nights of my life. Luckily, I had several of my wonderful friends keeping me company and cheering me up yesterday, but otherwise, I was a mess. I can't believe how much I cried. I stayed up until 8am to call my vet as soon as they opened, and they made me an appointment for 10am, which I also stayed up for.

We (my boyfriend and I) took Duchess to the clinic early, but they were eager to see her and make sure she was alright... They did an exam, and told me that Duchess had most likely suffered a stroke, (which is basically what I had already guessed,) but told me that in the event that it WAS a stroke, Duchess would be making a full recovery within a week, and go back to normal. There is a slight chance that it's a brain tumor, but they told me not to worry too much about it, considering my dog is still acting like her old self, is eating a drinking, and doesn't seem confused or lethargic in any way. But all signs point to it being a canine stroke, which means within the week, she'll recover completely.

So, I really feel like I'm floating on air right now. I'm watching her carefully, of course, but for the most part, I couldn't be happier.
I'm just glad I can rest easy a little bit. ^__^

Seriously! I think I'm falling apart! D:

Okay, so a few days ago I woke up in terrible pain. My back felt like the entire right half of it was paralyzed... For a while, I couldn't move at all. I was actually wondering if I should consider going to the hospital, but I managed to get out of bed and walk around for a bit. I've been living off of pain pills now for a couple of days... Yesterday, I ended up somehow pulling a muscle in my chest while trying to be careful with my back, (I don't know how in fuck's name I did that,) but luckily some ice and pain killers made that go away.
So about three hours ago I took a shower, which felt awesome. I fell asleep for a little while afterwards, because... I dunno. Lots of pain and a lonnnggg day. I woke up and got on the computer just now... And what happens?
All of a sudden my left leg froze and I felt muscles contract, and before I knew it, I was having a crippling cramp. I actually fell out of my chair and I was holding my leg and screaming until it was over... Luckily, no one was home today. xD BUT SERIOUSLY. Why am I suddenly dying?? XDDDD
Anyway. Just thought I would rant about... All that. >w< God, what next? DX

In other news... I'm working on a *short* manga, and I have the cover page and the first two pages completely finished. I'm excited about it... It will be about Nathan, and it should be the first in a series of short mangas revolving around a different character of Tales of the Aphrodite. :'D It's been soooo long since I've done a manga! It feels so great to be making one again. ^_^

Have you ever had that happen? You're watching some movie or TV show or anime, and take a liking to a pretty minor character... But then you realize that the character most likely fancies another character, so you spend the rest of the time watching it slowly becoming a fangirl/fanboy of this pairing?

So then, after it's over, you simply MUST drag your ass to the computer and look up all the fanart and fanfictions that are out there. I mean, they were minor characters, but there's a fanbase for EVERYTHING now a days. So you get online, and you type them in....

And there's NOTHING. And I mean nothing. LAME.

This has been my experience with the Galus/Nahato pairing from the anime 'El Hazard: The Magnificent World'. (Yeah yeah, I know... You've probably never heard of it. -_- It's an AMAZING older anime, one of my favorites.) I'm on a serious Galus/Nahato kick, and in order to satisfy my kick, I wanted to look at fanart or at LEAST a fanfic or two... Yep. Nothing. I can't believe such a ~~deranged~~ cute coupling doesn't have at least a couple of fans!!

Ah well. Look for Galus/Nahato pictures from me in the near future. (Although you, like the rest of the world, won't know who the hell they are. -_-) I've already drawn two fanart pictures of them, (one of them... I can't upload here... >//>;; ) and I'm working on coloring them. IMONSUCHAKICK. Holy crap. xD

I have everything from classical (I LOVE Vivaldi) to 90's pop on my computer, and everything that's inbetween... Rap, hard rock, soft rock, it really doesn't matter. (No country, though. I HATE country. xD)
But for once, I find myself completely obsessed with a specific band, and I find myself loving all of their songs. Not to mention, they were amazing in concert both times I saw them.

Finally, FINALLY, I'm starting that manga I've been talking about for like, eons. ^_^;

Oddly enough, it's going to be a Gaia-based manga, with the main characters being Gaia avatars. I've been working on character designs and story boards like crazy, and we're just about ready to get it started. When I say 'we', I mean me and Mizuiro. (known as

here on dA.) I'll be drawing and scripting, and she'll be my colorist.

~ Why the hell should you care? ~

Well, if you're a member of Gaia, you should care a lot. We'll be holding tons of contests from now until the [hopefully far-off] end of the manga, and not only do we need Gaian's help with things like naming the manga or voting for plot points, but we're going to have weekly cameo contests, where the winner will be able to appear in the manga. OMGSTFU.

We already have a pretty definite character list nailed down, (almost, still a couple of people I need to talk to. ^.~) and I've got a plot figured. Our main task now is to name this manga, so we can get this show on the road.

I've owned rats for years now, and I've just lost my oldest rat. He was very nearly three years old.

I feel compelled to talk about him a little, and talk about the interesting story of how he came into my life.

I work at a petstore. (We only sell rats and mice as pets. Our customers have to fill out an adoption form, and we actually have the right to refuse sale if we even suspect that they're going to be food. Just letting ya know.

) Nearly three years ago, we sold a cute rat to a woman and her 13 year old son. Not two weeks later, this lady comes storming into the store, and thrusts a cardboard box at me. She demanded we take back the 'dangerous' animal, and at first, I'm almost sure she's talking about a hamster. Then I open the box, and this adorable rat we sold was sitting in the box, looking rather pleasant.

I asked the lady what had happened, and she told me that this rat had bit her son viciously, and had drawn blood. I proceeded to pick up the rat and hold him while we were talking, which was annoying her, because he was being sweet with me. She got angry and left.
We took this rat into the backroom and played with him, seeing if perhaps he would become aggressive... No aggression, only lots of licking.

We sold him a second time. This time, I sold him to a young man who was a frequent customer, and a really nice guy looking for his first pet rat. I told him about the rat's history, and how the woman had returned him for biting, although we had only had positive experiences with him. The man held the rat, and instantly liked him. He took him home, and we thought that was the last we would see of that sweet rat.

Three days later the man returns the rat. He wasn't angry like the woman, but showed me the two bite wounds he suffered from the rat. By this time, I'm utterly confused. Why was this rat so sweet to us in the store, and then becoming a terror once they got him home? I couldn't figure it out. But by this time, since the rat had been returned twice, he was fated to be adopted out, which meant he was no longer for 'sale'. He would go to a person who would become aware that he would very likely be an aggressive animal. I didn't like this idea, and decided to take him home myself. And if he was aggressive once I got him home, I would simply spoil him in his cage while trying to work with him.

A couple of weeks went by, and this rat, whom I had named 'Skylights', was almost always out of his cage, playing with me and my friends. I loved him dearly, and he wasn't being aggressive to anyone. The only vigor he ever showed was his obsession with grooming fingertips.
One day, however, I was playing with him on my bed. It's a game I play with most of my rats; running around the sides of the bed and making the rattie chase me. Well, I started noticing that when I would dart away, he would continue staring at where I had been. I started testing this by being as quiet as I could while moving, and then making a noise. Only when I made the noise would he turn and coming running towards me. It was then I realized that he was most likely blind.

I took him to the vet, and it was confirmed. He was completely blind, but that didn't change anything about him... He got around just fine, I just made sure to never change things around in his cage. He loved to hang out on my bed with me and snuggle... As long as I was close by, he wouldn't worry about anything.

I'm so glad that those two people brought him back to my store, and into my life. I loved him so much, and I still do. He's one of those rats that will really be with me forever. <3

and I did lots of gardening today. LOTS. I think we worked for about 5 hours or so? We cleaned up my front yard and planted lots of flowers that will *hopefully* sprout pretty soon. I don't know the first thing about planting or keeping flowers or plants, (I've killed several bamboo and a cactus. Yes. A cactus. ><

so Anna helped A LOT in that respect. I pretty much depended on her to tell me what to do, cause I had no idea. xD (Thanks again, Anna, I had lots of fun! <3 <3 >w<

But now everything looks pretty out there. Whether or not things grow it still looks nice, cause I cleaned out like, two years worth of sticks and dead leaves and weeds from the front of the house. :'D

On other notes, one of my ratties is dying... My oldest rat, Skylights. I've had him for nearly 3 years, so he's an old guy... I'm glad he's had such a long life. He's still moving around and eating at this point, but his breathing is so ragged and he's so thin... It's only a matter of time. I'm really going to miss the little groom machine.

Oh man... I'm very dirty, I'm going to go take a nice shower. xD

My computer is back! It's fixed, and running better than ever!

After the whole 'motherboard' plan epically failed, my boyfriend and my roommate went behind my back and ordered a bunch of parts for my computer. When the parts came they didn't tell me about it, and rebuilt my computer while I was at work. How awesome is that? Then they got another friend of mine (who is a real computer whiz) to do the rest of it.
I'm very excited to be back, and I hope I never have to go that long without a computer ever again! xD

So, I received my new motherboard for my computer. But guess what? It doesn't fit in my computer, because the dick wads that work at the Geek Squad don't know wtf they're talking about. So we used a different casing, a bigger one, and I was happy again... Until we found out that my old processor chip also doesn't fit on the new motherboard.
Hours after finding this out, I got a fever at work... I had already been a bit sick, but I had been feeling fine aside from a little bit of coughing. Well, nearly 24 hours later, I STILL have a fever. And now I'm coughing so hard that I'm actually throwing up. -_- Huzzah.
I feel terrible... I just wish I didn't get sick so often. I used to never get sick... Maybe once or twice a year... Now it feels like I'm getting sick every two weeks. T__T And I had to call into work today... Not only does that screw me over on hours, (hours that I was really looking forward to, I might add,) but I was supposed to close with

So, aside from my sicklyness, (yah I know that's not a word XD) I have no idea when I'll get my computer back. But I do know that I'm gonna lose my mind here pretty soon, if I don't get it back. I'm just still very computer-less. T__T

I miss my computer so much... I don't know how much longer I can last! I haven't colored anything in over two weeks, haven't written anything, haven't chatted with anyone really or played zOMG! or anything else... >__<
I can't wait for my tax return so that I can just buy this stupid motherboard and have it installed! I would have gotten it already but I had to update my doggy's rabies shots and renew my dog and cat's licenses... Not that I'm complaining, I was sooo happy to get that out of the way, and super happy that the vet said that my dog is super healthy. ^^ (For those who don't know why that's such a good thing, my doggie is almost 14 years old... But you'd never guess. She's a spaz. XD)

Today is me and Justin's three year anniversary!!

Holy snapper craps!

Three years ago today Justin and I awkwardly admitted our feelings for each other. It's still so weird to think about. I can't believe there was ever a time where we were pretending to just have 'friend' feelings for each other, because each of us were terrified that the other didn't feel the same. I have so many memories of hanging out with him, desperately wanting to tell him how I felt but being too much of a wuss to do it. XD Then again, I had never liked anyone like I had liked him... It was all rather new to me, and although it's been three years, it still feels new. And it still boggles my mind every day how lucky I am to have found love so young, and with such an amazing, sweet guy.

On another note... I still don't have my computer back. T_T Which sucks, because I wanted to draw and color some epic Valentine's Day pictures... I also wanted to draw some sort of anniversary picture for Justin, but I can't... And the moment's totally gone, so now I don't want to wait until I get my computer back XD
I need to order the new mother board for my computer, and then hopefully within a couple days of ordering it my computer will be back and up and running and I can ~~molest~~ jump back on it and things will get back to normal. >w<

Anna and I had epic adventures tonight, with a bitchy bride at a Perkins and a cute stray puppy. XD And then... Just.. driving and getting lost. :'D

So, a couple of days ago, I went to turn on my computer, and it... Didn't. XD It wouldn't turn on at all... So I took it in to get looked at. A couple hours (and failed attempts at fixing her) later, we discover that I need a new mother board. -_-

So, I'm without a computer until I can order a new mother board for my computer... I'm currently using my roommate's computer, (he's sleeping behind me, in fact. ^_^ He just moved in yesterday! Exciting! :'D ) I can't do most of the things I could normally do, since, you know... My life is on my computer, (sad xD) but at least I can let people know what's going on, and possibly do a tiny bit of role playing! >D

You know how people say you don't know how much you depend on something until you don't have it any more? Yeah. Can't listen to music, can't look at pictures, cant' scan/color pictures, can't chat with people, can't play games... Hoo boy. Can't wait to get my computer back. ^__^;;

Anna and I watched Kamikaze Girls tonight, and I totally want to draw some fanartz of et. >w<

So, the movie The Mask is on TBS right now, and I have officially decided that it's one of the greatest movies ever made. XD

It's been a while since I've watched it. Seriously, Jim Carrey at his finest. I wish Jim did more roles like this now-a-days, instead of his more decidedly 'dramatic' choices... While he certainly doesn't fail at drama, comedy is where he shines. (Liar, Liar, anyone?)

This movie also has one of the most devoted dog characters I've ever seen. XD

I haven't slept.... XD I crawled into bed at around 10am with every intention of going to sleep, and an hour later I was still wide awake, and my boyfriend was getting up to go to work... So I got up and jumped back on the computer. o__O;;

I am going to clear up a few things right now.

(1) Peter Pan does NOT wear tights.

(2) Tinkerbell is NOT a bitch.

(3) Captain Hook is NOT a goofy looking, comedic villian.

(4) Peter Pan is NOT a magical freaking creature. He's a human!

M'kay. Now with these things out in the open, I would like to explain my random outburst. XD

Sometimes I really hate finding Peter Pan art, cause it just ends up pissing me off somehow. -__-
First of all, when has a Disney adaptation of ANY story been accurate? The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, Bambi... (Just to name a few.) None of these classic Disney movies are anywhere close to original canon. So why does everyone assume that Peter Pan is any different? I mean, I'm not saying that everyone who hasn't had the *cough*marvelous*cough* opportunity to read the original novel is in the wrong... (God knows, there are several classics I have yet to read,) But don't draw fanart or rant about something that you don't know anything about! T__T

I'm really tired of hearing that people hate Tinkerbell, and think she's a bitch. If you read the original novel by J. M. Barrie, Barrie explains that fairies are so small, they only have room for one emotion at a time. So when Tink is jealous, that's all she's able to feel. No room for empathy, sadness, guilt, or any of those other pesky emotions that usually keep you from maiming someone. FAIRIES ARE NOT HUMAN! So why does everyone keep expecting Tinkerbell to act like one?
Tinkerbell is the only character who is 100% devoted to Peter in every way, and I respect her for that. She even somehow manages to keep her dramatic mood swings in check when the situation calls for it, which isn't easy for a fairy.

I'm also sick of people referring to Peter Pan as a 'magical being' or something along those lines. The only magical thing he can do is fly, and anyone with some fairy dust and a happy thought can do that. Although Barrie doesn't go into detail about Peter's ability to fly, I can only assume that he's been using the power of fairy dust for so long that he no longer needs it's aid.
I wish people would stop drawing Peter with pointed ears. T__T While it's cute and everything, the first appearance of a Peter Pan with pointed ears is the Disney film, and if J. M. Barrie were alive for that he would have been rather angry. He based Peter Pan's appearance off of a real little boy, and Peter Pan is a real little boy... (That's sort of the point...) So what's with the imp-like appearance? Or the tights? I mean, when did a pair of green tights wash up on the shore of Neverland, and why would a little boy decide it would be a fantasic idea to try them on? o__O;;
In the book, Peter Pan is described as being a beautiful boy clad in leaves. Tights were used in play versions of the story because Peter Pan was almost always played by a woman, but I'm not sure why that leaked over into the Disney film. Lack of imagination, I suppose. Or easier to animate. Or both. >< Either way, J. M. Barrie is rolling in his grave. (Among other reasons. XD)

*sigh* There's more I could rant about, (People creating ridiculous OC's that Peter falls in love with, ugly Captain Hooks when he's supposed to be terribly handsome...) but I'm sure you've heard quite enough. (That is, if you even managed to read through all of this without growing bored... If you did, I'll give you a cookie :'D)

Except for Soul Calibur 3, I think. XD That game was devastatingly addicting. I still lived with my mom when we were playing that one, and my mom had to put a tray next to the chair in front of the TV so that we would remember to eat. And I still forgot a lot. >w< And then there was that day that I couldn't play it because my hands were too stiff and sore from playing 24/7. >__>;;;

But SC4 is pretty much just as bad. Can't. Stop. Making. Characters. XD

Speaking of addictions... Can someone please help me figure out how to stop listening to the song 'Still Alive' from Portal?
Cause I just downloaded it about two days ago, and according to my Media Player I've listened to it close to 100 times now. ^__^;;

I have just watched the Tinkerbell movie, and I have one thing to say.

FULL OF WIN.

I am truly, deeply, extremely happy with this film. Waiting two years for a better movie paid off.... This movie was very close to the 'Disney Fairy' books that gave birth to the idea, and I couldn't be happier with it.
As I was waiting for it to come out, my main concern with this movie was the fact that all of the main characters being promoted for the film (not including Tinkerbell, of course) were fairies that had not yet been introduced in the books. (Or at least, they were only mentioned briefly.) I was afraid that lots of my favorite fairies, like Rani, Bess, Prilla, Terence, and Vidia wouldn't be in the film... In other words, I was worried they were going to retell the fairy series in movie form but with a different band of fairies. I'm glad to say that this was not the case... While Rani and Prilla didn't make appearances, I now understand why they did not. This movie was actually about Tinkerbell's birth, and so Prilla wouldn't have been born yet, (Tinkerbell was already involved with Peter Pan by the time Prilla was born,) and either Tink hasn't met Rani yet, or Rani hasn't been born, either. But Vidia had a rather large role, and Terence... Ohhh, Terence... xD He was ADORABLE. I was most anxious about him not being in the movie, for the simple fact that he's totally in love with Tink in the books. (Tink's usually too busy with Peter or work to notice,) I would have been utterly heartbroken if they gave Tink another love interest. So yay! And he was way hotter in this movie than in the books. They made him look a whole lot more like Peter Pan, actually. xD
My one and only complaint (other than my usual Disney rants,) is that Mother Dove was not seen nor mentioned in the movie. For those who haven't read the books, Mother Dove is a rather important character... It's her feathers that make the fairy dust that allows fairies to use magic and fly, and her egg is a magical source that actually kind of holds Neverland together. In the movie, however, fairy dust is shown as being a sort of endless supply of magic that flows into this 'dust pond'. While this certainly makes things easier on the fairies then depending on a Mother Dove's feathers, (which, in the books, is a constant source of problems,) Mother Dove is a pretty huge character. Even more important than Queen Clarion, (who, I'm assuming, has yet to attain the nickname 'Ree' ) who was slightly more 'magical' in this movie than in the books. The Queen kept appearing by means of rays of light... That's never mentioned in the books, although it looked cool, so I don't really care. ^__^
I had planned at the beginning of today that I was going to buy the movie, go to work, and then come home and watch the movie alone... My boyfriend usually gets off work two hours or so after I do, my roommates are also usually gone when I get home from work... So I just assumed things would go that way. But when I got off from work my boyfriend was there to pick me up because he got off work early, and when I got home, my roommate Tyler was already home and my friend Margo was randomly there, as well. And then the phone rings, and Katie wants to hang out... @__@ So I ended up watching the movie with Justin, Tyler Margo and Katie. xD And surprisingly, everyone liked this movie. (Although they kept getting freaked out that I knew the name of every fairy before they could be clearly seen or had been addressed. o_O) There was one scene involving a squirrel and an acorn that made us all laugh so hard we had to pause the movie, and then skip back several times so that we could laugh at it over and over again. XD (And then when the movie was over, we went back to that scene and did it again. Twice in slow-mo. :'D)
All in all, this was a great movie... And I can't wait for the second one. (Yes, second one... xD) It appears they have enough confidence in the franchise to make a trilogy of movies, like they were originally planning two years ago.

Oh yah. The ending made me *squee* HARDCORE. And I was giggling madly before it even happened, and no one knew why until... It happened. >w< I don't want to spoil things, lol....

! YOU AND I ARE WATCHING THIS MOVIE ASAP!!! xD And no, it's not a question. It is a demand. ^__^

The Tinkerbell movie comes out in three days!! It's killing me, I swearz! I have it special ordered, so I get it the day it comes out.. Which is exciting... But oh man... I've been waiting for this movie for close to 4 years now. o__O They've put so much work into this film... For those who don't know, this is actually the *second* Tinkerbell movie that's been made. xD Two years ago, the movie was scheduled to come out in August of '06... They had trailers and everything. (Never on TV then... But you could get them through certain DVDs and of course, online) But some big wig at Disney took a look at the movie before it was released, and told them to scrap it. (Someone got fired for it's production! :'D) Apparently it was *horrible*. He actually quoted it as being 'completely unwatchable'. xD
So they tried again, and this movie that comes out in three days is going to be the result of their tedious labor. *sigh* My problem with the original Tink movie that was going to come out was that it didn't seem to be sticking to the fairy books at all... Which was stupid, because they made this fairy book series in order to base a movie off of them. I mean, no wonder the movie sucked so bad from the get-go. xD
But I have high hopes for this movie... It hasn't come out yet, but I've heard things. All I know is, if Peter Pan makes as appearance, I will be wetting myself. >w<

I woke up today with a migraine headache the size of Texas. O__O Omgosh I'm switching subjects a lot. xD xD MY RATS ARE BEING SO CUTEEE!! Both of them are staring at me from their cage right now, but they are piled ontop of each other, and it's adoarable!! Ummm..... Wow. I should just stop talking. I got to thinking about some really angsty things, and I actually started crying. O__O Which is... Unlike me. Sadly, they were role play related. ^___^;; And then I wrote a short little thing to get it out of my head, and it made me feel a little better... Until I read through it after writing it. xD "WTF DID I JUST WRITE!!!" were my exact thoughts, I believe. -___-;

The concert was pretty cool. Saving Abel, Shinedown and Buckcherry played... Three bands that I only knew a couple of their songs. ^__^ Shinedown ROCKED MY FREAKING SOCKS OFF. They were absolutely great... They have a new fan. ^^

and I were drooling over the lead guitarist the whole time... I'm not gonna lie, he was HAWT. (My poor boyfriend... lol) We were decently close to the stage for Shinedown's performance, which was cool... I actually got a guitar pick from one of the hot guitarists! But then I dropped it in Justin's car and we can't find it now. ;___; Hopefully it's still in there somewhere, lol...
Buckcherry really pissed me off. Sorry to all Buckcherry fans, but they SUCKED. And they were the headliner. I couldn't really pay much attention to their performance the first couple of songs, because somehow we found ourselves in the middle of the mosh pit during the last band. o_o But I couldn't figure out for the LIFE of me why the croud was ten times crazier for Buckcherry... They weren't talking to the croud, they're songs were so-so, the band didn't look happy to be there... And THEN I realized why everyone was going so crazy over them, when they had the croud start chanting, 'Cocaine! Cocaine! Cocaine!' -____-;;
Then they started singing the sickest fucking songs... And the only time the lead singer spoke to the croud, he was going into gory detail about his favorite sex acts. I was so mad... Here was this great, MIND BLOWING band that rocked so hard, and everyone was pretty excited... Then this crappy band comes on, and everyone is freaking out because they're talking about sex, drugs, and getting drunk. I didn't used to believe that rock was dead, but now I'm starting to see what people are talking about. ^_^;;
Anyway. Overall I had a good time... I woke up rather sore the next day, but it's all good. Moshing is fun, and it's been a while since I got to beat the crap out of some random people. xD

Oh, and beer really does make your hair softer. o__O

I'm so happy this stupid allergy attack is finally going away... I didn't have to use hardly any nose spray today. I am. Addicted. To nose spray. Only when I'm sick, of course. ^_^; And I can breathe! Huzzah~~! I'm still coughing a bit, but I don't care... It's better than feeling like death. xD

ANYWAYYYY.... I love my new kitty cat. ^^ I haven't quite had her for a week... She's such a sweetie. So talkative and full of personality. <3 I named her Genavieve, which is long, so people have been calling her Gen... Or just kitty. ^_^;; Okay, I call her kitty. I have to start remembering to use her name or she'll think her name is kitty. xD

I don't mind living in Nebraska or anything... But sometimes I really wish we had Summer all year long, like in California. =__= There are just so many things you can't do in the Winter time! (It's barely Fall, and I'm all ready complaining about Winter...) It was a lot more fun when I was little, and liked to have snow ball fights and make snow men and go sledding and all of that. Well hell, I guess I still like all those things, except I just don't like being cold. *sigh*

http://musapan.deviantart.com/journal/19450242/ Thu, 17 Jul 2008 16:49:54 PDT A ' pirate tavern ' RP was started up in my Peter Pan Guild (on Gaia Online) by another member, and so I decided to make a character named Alasdair; an 18 year old boy whose looking for another pirate crew to join, so that he can reek his revenge on another pirate who killed his last crew and tried to kill him. Simple enough.
I told

, and jokingly told her that she should make another guy pirate and the two of them should fall in love. (We're a little obsessed with shounen-ai...

) She decided to do it, (her first RP!

) and created a character named Lucien, a blonde, pretty flamboyant pirate Captain with loooots of issues and mood swings to match. She also made another character, Azrael, who is Lucien's 14 year old cabin boy/slave, but may as well be his adopted son.
Needless to say, we got completely addicted to this role play, or more specifically, our characters. So now we're thinking about them a lot, drawing them all the time, and talking about them pretty much non-stop. ^_^; We can't figure out why the hell we're so obsessed... But I don't care! xD I'm obsessed with a lot of things, but this is probably my first actual obsession with something I created. xD
We were trying to figure out what to call our terribly complicated story a little later, and ska-chan came up with 'Tales of the Aphrodite'. (The name of Lucien's ship.)

also got involved with the RP, resurrecting her super-old pirate RP character from several years ago. She and Lucien are quite awesome together... A guy who hates women, and a woman who hates men who hate women. Fun time! <3

I think we need to see a doctor or something.. You know, someone who deals with the obsession of role plays or something. Seriously. xD

It's such an awesome little house. (Not so little, actually...) We moved in two weeks ago tomorrow.
However, only one of the computers in the house has internet access at the moment, (Caitlin's comp... We need to get a router really bad... ^_^;

so I can't post any more Adventurous Soul for probably another couple of weeks. I have several pages ready to go, but they're on my comp, so... Maybe if I can will myself not to be lazy, I can move a couple pages of it to this computer, but probably not. ^.^ Anyway, expect more soon.
Living in the new house also ensures that I'll be working on brand new pages of AS as soon as everything settles down... My room is HUGE now and I actually have my own drawing table. (For the first time in a long time...) I've been working on character designs and plot like crazy for the last few days, and I'm excited to start working on AS again. ^_^
