I'm going crazy. It's not as bad now that guard is off my plate for now, but GSA is intimidation the hell out of me. I have no leadership qualities, and Jonathan's leaving and fuck. I'm going to be the final nail in our coffin. Plus I'm trying to be active in SADD, but I never know when meetings are and some of our leadership is petering out when we need them the most. And the play. Ohmygosh. Schneider is driving me crazy, with his disorganizedness. We have a week or two, we don't hae a set, we don't have all the furnature, we were supposed to go over lighting two days ago, and we still haven't done it. I mean, I'm chaotic too, but he needs to learn to use creative chaos as opposed to frusterating chaos. Josh and I may very well kill each other before the set's done.

Christmas was good. I got books and CDs and sorely needed art supplies. I saw most of my family. It was nice.
Everyone's really tired. Rosemary (my cousin's kid) got so much bigger. Just last year the couldn't walk, was bald, and drooling teething cookie crumbs all over me, and now she walks and talks semi-coherently. She got a huge rocking horse that makes noises. She loved it, although she didn't want to ride it for awhile. Rachel (my cousin, Rosemary's mother) was looking well, but really tired. But my aunt said that she's either stable or the cancer is lessening. She might go back to work soon.

Sarah and Cat are applying for domestic partnership. There's a ceremony coming up. We're all really happy for them. Even Boston-catholic grandma. It's ridiculous that we usually see them here when they live right by us...

Uncle Rick's girlfriend got the really scary blood poisoning/staph bug, so she couldn't make it. We all missed her. We missed Uncle Dave too. I'm not sure if he was with his kids or his fiance... We really miss those kids. I haven't seen them since a little bot after Dave and Katie split...

Remember when Christmas was about laughing and partying and having a good time and not about fighting to keep up with people and there wasn't a big cloud of death hanging over it? I miss that. The grandparents keep saying that this Christmas might be their last. Grampa wants me to illustrate his memoirs. I don't know if any of my pictures came out, but I did a picture from a photo of him and a bunch of other marines at attention. He was 16. That's my age. That's just a child. That's way too young to be preparing to go off and fight other people's wars.

I just saw Sweeny Todd with Mom and Aunt Lauri. Uncle Ken couldn't make it though. (I swear to god, everyone in my family's sick!) It was really good, although they cut part of the end. And I think the deaths would have been more effective if Burton had been more subtle.

I miss you guys! Even if I've only been gone four days. We're driving home tomorrow, but we'll probably get in late...

When Mom and Dad scream (or worse, when they don't talk but are in the same room), when Dad glowers, when Mom cries over spilled milk, when dumb blond downstage right asks another "winning" question that had just been answered (good job taking advantage of your opportunities kid,) this is all I can think.

How wonderful it would be, to just leave all this behind. Spending my life amongst the clouds in a private sort of heaven. I could become the ultimate observer.

Or, I could go other places, start a new life. I could live several lifetimes in one. Yeah, it'd be hard to break off relationships all the time, and I'd start to get lonely, but I usually don't stay too close to anyone long enough for the people I'd be missing to miss me. I think.

Is it healthy to fly away from your problems though? I feel a tad yellow for thinking it. How do you tell the difference between wisely picking your battles and giving up your spine? Is it worth giving up your right to express your dissent to avoid upsetting others? Or maybye upsetting people is the key to unlocking it all. If everyone expresses dissent, mabye we'll all finally understand each other and when we understand, even if we don't agree, we'll finally be free to fly away without baggage to force us back. Maybye we'll be able to return on our own.

Some of the characterizations take a bit of getting used to though... It was excellent (and Joker was damn sexy, as always, just not the same type of sexy), but I think I prefer "Hush" (I still haven't finished that. )

School at the academy has been fucking amazing!
I'm so in love with this school. I can't wait to finish and scan some of the stuff I've been working on. I've been learning so much, and I really think my artwork is starting to improve.
Being at this place is making me the happiest I've been in quite awhile.

I've been really busy because of it though... I love you guys! and I miss you guys! I need to work on getting my ass out of the house on my days off...

I went to the Fall Out Boy show with Kels, Robert, and Lauren. Cobra starship was adorable, Paul Wall was a big WhatTheFuck?, The Academy Is... was ok, I'm happy they played "Slow Down" but I don't like the version of "Black Mamba" they did, +44 was DEAD SEXY, and they sounded great too, Fall Out Boy was fucking amazing. I don't know what the fuck people are talking about when they say that they suck live. I tore my throat out screaming along, and I still couldn't hear myself, and I adored the little cartoons they used in the background, although I think the pyrotechnics were a bit unneccesary...
All in all it was a damn good night.


I was really sick for a couple days (this is meant to explain that last journal), but I'm good now. I think...

I registered for my classes this summer. I'm taking Comic Book Illustration, Textile Design, and Mural Painting, and I can't wait!

AND I went to my cousin's house for dinner last night, so I wan't home and emo on prom night. She gave me her old SLRs since she doesn't use them. One is missing the rewinder thingy, and the other needs a new battery but it's all in the good. I can't wait to start playing around with them!

It wasn't really my type of music, but I got in touch with my inner hippie and temporarily regained faith in humanity. And the music was pretty cool, for stuff so close to country. *gag* I even managed to enjoy part of the sunday morning revival, because there were songs that mocked religion a bit, a song prasing all the old religions (mentioning aprophroditie ^^) and Bob Marley covers. I think I may have gotten a few decent pics, wich should be up soon, if they turned out ok and my computer lets me upload.
