Howdy ya’ll!

Well, it’s December, it’s cold outside, there’s a 37% chance of it snowing on Friday. Life is mostly good

Doomed
My word count is now 50,707, which is way farther behind than I should be right now if I’m planning on finishing this by Christmas. Know why I wanna finish it by then? Because :devbrit-texgrl3: wants it for Christmas. She said it’s the only thing she wanted, therefore I’ve got to get it done Which means that I’ll probably post the first three or so chapters by mid-January. Whoo!

Boys
As I sit here in study hall, my ex is sitting next to me. Luckily he’s not reading what I say right now, but if he does then… all the better. I’m sick and tired of him following me around, I’m annoyed with him more than I’m annoyed with my brother, and that’s means this… this stalking has gone beyond extreme. I swear, it’s just awful. And then there’s that guy who broke up with me through a text? Yeah, the fact that I’m falling for him, AGAIN, is not good. I’ve been told by one friend to leave him in the dust, another to kick his testicles back into his body, and from one last, optimistic friend that I should go for it and make him want me again. Honestly enough, I’m sick of the drama. It’s annoying and I want it to stop.

School
14 days and counting. We end on the 16th, which means that I’m almost free. YES! And before that, I get to do midterms But maybe they won’t be so bad. With NaNoWriMo done, I’ve got a lot more time, but with swim team I have to wake up at 5 am every day, which is pure hell. So basically, I went from being extremely busy one month to extremely busy the next month. So if I stop commenting on deviations or journals and such, don’t be offended.

Writing
Kind of on a standstill, I know, but I’ll get there. I’ve got one new idea for a short story, a few poems in mind, and the new chapter of CR should be up sometime within the next two weeks… maybe…. I’ll get there.

RANT SECTION!
You know what seriously gets on my nerves? When a writer, an artist, or whoever does something creative says that they don’t want or need critique. Honestly, that just means that they do. No one is perfect, and besides, you just get that much better from people tearing apart your writing or art to say what they did like, what they didn’t, and how they think you can make it better. Accept the critique. Give the critique. Stop bitching about how you don’t want it, cause honestly, you need it.

Enough of my ranting, how’re all of you?!

Boston
I went to go see my two oldest sisters this weekend, which was loads of fun. The younger of the two was in a play written 400 years ago by a dead white guy in England. She was cast as a barroom wench named Nym. If you don’t know the play (or the playwright, for that matter!) then you seriously need to get out more… Well, stay in more and read classic literature, but you get the gist, right? Well, it was really fun and I got to take a 24 hour trip with frequent flyer points, so I’m happy

Bands!
Ok, so some really amazing, really indie bands that my sister has gotten me obsessed with: Dizzy Balloon, Beirut, Gentlemen Hall. All are amazing! SOOOO GOOD!!! That’s what I’m listening too non-stop
Halloween…
Is upon us! I don’t know why, but I always love this time of year. It’s so… I don’t know, creepy I guess. Now, I’m not talking about the whole “littles kids covering themselves with a sheet and shouting boo!” really, I’m talking just about the fact that it gets darker, it gets quieter, and it’s a lot more inspiring to write about! I just kind of love Halloween….

Damn, don’t I wish that I knew the answer. I think that's the real question. Not the meaning of life, oh no, it's to feel or not to feel. If that question was answered by someone, then that person would be the ultimate savior.

It’s a shitty feeling, really, to be so close to feeling something, to be so close to screaming, to be so close to crying, to be so close to anything that you can almost taste it, but be far enough away that you can’t feel a single damn thing.

I could say that at least I haven’t gone mad. I’m still just awkward old me. And I could say that at least I haven’t cried, I’m still just emotionless me. Sometimes, being without all this pain can feel great, even like a miracle, but not all the time.

To sum it up, it’s shitty to feel and not to feel.

I wish I could vanish.

Hello again my deviously delightful deviants

Well, I'm not sure how many of you were watching me at this time last year, but if you were then you (maybe) remember my giant break in the middle of the summer? It's that time again Starting this Saturday I'm off. I won't be on until around August 3, and even at that point I'll be on for at most 14 hours before I go again. Partly this is cause I'm leaving, partly because this is my once a year break from DA, from the computer, and back to reality….. I’ll be back, for those of you who actually care…

Birthday
Well, it seems that my birthday is now officially 42 days away. And yes, that does mean that my birthday is the 29th of July, for those of you who don’t like math A year passes by so slowly, but so quickly, doesn’t it? I’m making one promise to myself, though, and that’s that this time next year a book I’ve written is gonna be on it’s way to being published. That’s all I want. _{*cough*and a subscription*cough*}

Writing
Ok, after I finish working on Chapter Seven of CR, that’s gonna be it for a while. Not just cause of the fact that I’m gone, but because of the fact that I don’t want to have to deal with writing more poems or short stories. I’m gonna take down AFA soon. No one read it anyway. I’m gonna try to work solely on my novels, including AFA and Doomed, but also a couple other things I promised people.

High School
You know what’s a scary thought? I’m starting high school in the fall… It’s weird. Like, really. I’m not gonna go into the whole “OHMAIGAWD IT’S GONNA BE AWESOME” or “I’m so fucking scared I’m gonna die in there” rant, but all I can say is that life is gonna be a hell of a lot more interesting now…..

Ok, so I'm actually not that sneaky and devious, but I did manage to know I'd get the orchestra award That was a no-brainer, though. Anyway, I'm officially done with this year of school.... Which means I'm officially a high schooler, which is a weird feeling. People keep assuring me that this'll be the best time of my life, yet I'm still pretty skeptical after watching my countless numbers of siblings go through the worst times of their lives, from being overlooked for things they deserved to shitty, jerkface boyfriends. But I'm planning to make the most of it....

Oh! I got my ISP (AFA for those of you who don't know) back today. My mentor, who I love with my whole heart, said that I was pretty much awesome XD She believes that because of my happy and willing disposition I'll be able to handle tough professional editors and she can't wait to see my first book published. That took me as a shocker for a moment. I was sitting there, my eyes wide as my mother drove her car with me in the front seat, and was like "Holy fucking shit" and my mother kinda freaked for a moment until she read it. And then she agreed whole heartedly. She disagrees with everything she said on monday. She believes I have the ability to do well in writing, she wants to figure out how to get me published. She wants me to enter any and all contests I can, trying to establish a name for myself. This entire day has been completely amazing for me. And wanna know what makes it better? JOSHUMS IS COMING IN *discreetly checks watch* 12 HOURS, 10 MINUTES, AND 47 SECONDS! YAY!!!! Well, let's pray this happy mood keeps me going for a while!

You know that poem I wrote? The one called "Anatomy of a Mom"? Well, today is my mother's birthday and so I gave it to her as a present. She was extremely thrilled for a moment, and then she had to figure out whether I hadn't mentioned the author or something And so I woke up and saw her and told her happy birthday and the first thing she says to me is "You didn't write that, did you?" And I told her I did, and then she kept on asking me whether or not I got any ideas from anything else or anything. Her words are "It sounds like a professional wrote it, Abigail." Well, here’s my weekly update I guess I’ve kinda stopped doing journals as often, which must be a happy thing for some of you guys, seeing as I tended to do like four a day But yeah, I’m probably just gonna be doing them weekly now or whenever something interesting.

Um, lets see…. This week has gone better than the last two, much better actually. I’ve solved some things, gotten over others, and I’m just trying to stay happy. That’s like, the only thing that really matters to my mother nowadays: that no matter what happens to me, no matter how I’m hurt, that I’ll always stay happy. Sometimes my mother just makes me want to hug her.

Next on the list: my dog has Low Thyroid. Not exactly sure what it is, but it’s making him lose his hair, and eventually it’s supposed to kill him. My sister and I were the ones who noticed this first (the fact that he had a bald-spot on his back) so he’s being treated for it right now. He’s gonna be fine XD Oh, and we’ve figured out that he now weighs 93 pounds.

Hmm… lets see…. Random things… I hate my brother with a burning passion, I want to entirely smash his head in. Happy, right? Lolz Some people I love: Loves you guys!

Projects!
Ok, over the past couple of days I’ve realized there is so much I’m working on right now that there isn’t ever going to be an end to it XD Let’s see… for starters, there’s Chemicals React which’ll hopefully be out by the end of the week if ~leave-love-bleedin and I can get it done. And with that, we’ve also got Lucian’s backstory, and I’m writing one for Adelina, plus, it’s just awesome and it’s like the only thing I can think about! There’s AFA, which is the novel I’m working on. There’s the 100 themes challenge, and the one I’m currently working on is Rot. But in the last two weeks, after being so frustrated that I couldn’t sleep, I’ve started writing a play. Yeah, clichéd, I know, but I’m really, really excited about it! The only thing I’m actually gonna say about it is that it’s called Life Without Amy and it’s about this girl, Mary, who has another girl living inside of her, Amy. Just use your imagination from there

Ok, so this week was a whole hell of a lot worse than the last one. I guess it's just cause it's the end of the school year and we're all sick of each other, but still. Ok, so as some of you may know, and some of you may not, I am going to be gone... again And I know that I say that I'm gonna be leaving and won't be able to get on, but then I get on anyway XD This time it's for real. My entire grade is going to Big Bend National Park and I can't have my computer, cell phone, or iPod (though I'm sneaking that! No way will they be able to cut me off from my music!!!) I'm already going through computer withdrawal, especially DA wise. This place has taken over my life!! Anyway, I'm leaving early morning on Saturday the 21st and I'll get back on Friday the 27th.... So my ski trip was fun... met a hot guy who's like 6 years older than me named Nat... Sat next to him, talked. Also, I'm dead tired, like... reallyy

Oooh, and also, there's this guy in my grade who's name is Edward, and he's really anti-social and kinda rude, but my friends were joking about putting sparkles and stuff on his face to make him a Cullen, and he was just rolling his eyes. So like I legitimately asked him if I could do that (my exact words were "If I got some silver glitter glue, could I smother your face in it?") so he was like "Uh... not with glitter glue, but if you get the actual edward glitter stuff from Hot Topic then sure..." So me and my friend just sat there during that entire class plotting about how we should dye his hair bronzey-copper and gel it like crazy, then find some really horrendous clothing. And take pictures It should be loooooaaddsss of fun!

My name is Abigail. I'm a writer, usually poetry but some prose here and there. I live in Houston, TX, and I have for all my life.

About my poetry:
Usually pretty dark and deep. Lots of my friends don't like it, haven't read it, or they just don't care enough. Most likely has some deeper meanings, or it's just my ranting that I put into poem form

About my prose:
I like writing vampire stories. I am currently working on a couple, only one of which I have posted on DA. More will come soon, I hope! It takes so long for me to type long things, so I usually just stick to poetry.

Random facts about me:
I am 5'7" tall. I have brown hair and green eyes. I have 4 siblings. I am a singer, mostly Soprano 2 becuase my choir director wants me to lead the group but I really should be a Soprano 1. I play the cello and have been playing it for 9 years. I played the piano for 6 years. I can't dance to save my life

Ok, so first of all, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I just recieved another honor! I won ~TheStoryGuild's contest, so now I've won two contests! Yay!!!

And I know that I haven't submitted anything in a little while and that this is really unlike me, but I haven't been getting much inspiration and I've been really busy lately. Also blame it on my dead comp! Anyway, I'm working on this really epic work that I've been trying to get done for a while now...

Anyway, speaking of my computer, my sister and my father are planning on completely erasing everything on it then downloading windows again tonight. Luckily I managed to get AFA and the epilogue for it off of the computer so now I can be relieved *sighs* But still, I'm losing everything else.... *tear*

This is a sad time for me. Wanna know why?

My computer, one that is from like a century ago it's so old, has officially caught every bad virus there is. It died yesterday, taking along with it all my writing files, all my pictures, everything. I don't have access to any of my files, and I have lost all of the work that I have done on AFA. Most of you probably think that this is no big deal, but I need to work on AFA for a class, and by work I mean pretty much completely re-writing the entire thing, and now I can't. Only by chance and good fortune do I still have a part of it. I deleted the prologue and the seventh chapter, but all the rest of it is still on here, and I also have my writing spiral which has the first draft of all of it (except the prologue). So, right now at this very moment, I hate the world.... but I still love you guys!

Anyway... It's christmas eve.... merry fucking christmas to us all....

It appears that I have been updating my journal like, every other day... Sorry for overloading your inbox, guys!

Anyway, so there's this writing program at my school next semester that I'll hopefully get into *prays to the heavens* Haha, anyway, I'm using my already worked on story, A Fallen Angel, for it. I know that most of you haven't read it and probably don't like my prose as much as my poetry, but I have realized that AFA is way, waaaayyyy too complex, so I'm re-doing the entire thing, or at least what I've done so far. Therefore, I'm also taking it off here. It probably won't be on here again for a long time, or not, who knows Anyway, I'm taking out a lot of things including the fact that they are vampires (which means that they are just angel demon things now) and a whole heck of a lot of stuff. I have to make it so that my mom can read it without thinking I'm crazy

Anyway, I'm most likely not going to take it off until the weekend, so if you want to read it now, feel free to go ahead, and comments would be nice as well

In other news, exams are gross... haha, yeah.... Oh, and I have re-kindled my love for playing cello, so I am seriously practicing like 8 times a day...

At this moment in time before every girl on here goes completely mental, I am going to point out to people on here something:

I am completely and TOTALLY against Twilight. The movie, not the books. It completely sickens me that a good book, or any book for that reason, can be completely ruined by a movie. I say this for the Harry Potter movies and all other books made movies.

Let me explain why I feel this way: as I read things I get an image of the setting and the characters, and by providing a set image to a book, especially one I like, just ruins everything for me. I can never see things in my mind in the same way. If I ever get anything published, I would rather have my head smashed in and my heart cut out and my liver removed and my bowels unplugged and my nostrils raped and my bottom burned of and my penis split and my... that's-that's enought music for now, lads. sorry, Spamalot is making me hyper. Anyway, I would never, ever let someone put my writing to a set image, it would positively kill me for something like that to happen.

Now, I know that everyone has different views on subjects like this, but I just wanted to point this out.

Ok, so as some of you might know, I went to a Coldplay concert tonight. It was probably the happiest time I've had in a while. The music was great, the lights (lazer show thing!) were amazing, and the bass player was extremelly hot Anyway, whoever told me that Coldplay is terrible in concert, you are completely dead wrong. This was amazing, and it was so great.

Also, there were 2 beginning acts. The first one was Sleeper Car. They were pretty good, but I didn't hear much from them because they started really early. The second one was this British guy named Jon Hopkins. He does this weird but insanely cool electronic music, and I am now officially in love with him!

During the middle of the concert, the guys put down their instruments and ran through the crowd and went up to a stage a couple rows above where I was sitting, and they started playing! It was insanely awesome beyond compare! So officially, I love Coldplay more than most things (and people) right now...

I have a whole lot more to say right now, but I am completely pooped and I have to go do the homework that I didn't do...

- The Artist in our group. What more can I say? You constantly crack me up, even when you're not trying to. I always look forward to seeing you smile every day, and your crazy stories about things ranging from your insane mother ("Can I have some?") to Cambell (oh, stalker whose name I can't spell )make me anticipate what might happen next. And yes, I am a creeper beyond compare. You are completely unpredictable, and that's one of the reasons I luv you!

- The British Kid Yeah, you are, aren't you? Ok, so you're constantly tired and sometimes I can't tell whether you're mad at me or you just are starting to fall asleep, but your bright and happy personality is amazing. You have something to add in every conversation and you almost always kick me when I deserve it! "Santa Lucia!" lolz. I don't know where I would be without you. You manage to keep me from doing myself insane damage from my craziness every single day, and yes, you are my ADD medicine I luv you!

- Oh yes, the OCD Freak but of course ocd means Overly compulsive DANCING! Sam, you make me smile. I don't know why, or how you do it, but you do, almost every day. Advisory would be hell without you. It absolutelly kills me when we're mad at each other, which is why we always make up so quickly. We are strange, aren't we? But Sam, although you may say some mean things, although you may be criticising and stupid and whiney sometimes, I guess we all are, and that's also what makes you, you! And I'm so very glad you are you!!

I like writing vampire stories. I am currently working on a couple, only one of which I have posted on DA. More will come soon, I hope! It takes so long for me to type long things, so I usually just stick to poetry.

Random facts about me:

I am 5'7" tall. I have brown hair and green eyes. I have 4 siblings. I am a singer, mostly Soprano 2 becuase my choir director wants me to lead the group but I really should be a Soprano 1. I play the cello and have been playing it for 9 years. I played the piano for 6 years. I can't dance to save my life

And most importantly, ahs decided that I am naturally strange!

Ok, so for the past couple of days I have been obsessed with the song, "Mahna Mahna" or as likes to call it, "The Mahna Mahna Song" Anyway, I've kinda been singing it non-stop, annoying all the people around me like crazy , and apparently K says I killed it! So, I was singing it at home because I just bought it on i-tunes, and we were eating dinner (Meatloaf! -voice in distance- Again? lolz) So I started singing it, and my sister pounded her fists on the table and glared at me. The conversation went as follows:

"Abigail!! Stop!!!!!!" She squealed.

"And why should I?" I responded happily.

"Do you even know where its from?" my brother asked.

"Um, no... Um, Sesamee Street?"

"No! It's from-" my 1st sister started, but she was quickly interupted by my other sister coming in and yelling "No! Caroline, don't go there!! It's dinner!!!"

"What? WHAT??? Where is it from??" I pleaded.

"SWEEDISH PORN!!!!!!"

"Oh... ok then...." Awkward silence for a moment or four. We were all staring at each other awkwardly, so I suddenly burst out "MAHNA MAHNA! doo doo doo doo doo!"


Anyway, that was a surprise to me... bet it was to ya'll too! anyway, the song truly did go from Sweedish porn to Sesamee Street...

anyway, I was at a big rivalry football game against my school and another school, and we failed miserably. But the important thing here is, I had a close encounter with the law (hence the title^^) anyway, so it all started out when a couple of my friends and I went over to the other school's side and we just kind of sat there and talked while somewhat cheering for our team. So, this little 8 yr old boy was sitting all alone so I went and sat next to him and we talked. He said his name was Ian, then I heard Ben, then Will, so I don't really know, but he was really cute! We went away after that cause we were bored, and when we came back we pretty much just sat there, talking to ourselves. Then these little boys (plus Ian-Ben-Will) came up to us and started saying rude things. So I turned to my friend and whispered "I relly want to flip them off right now!" and they somehow heard me, so they got all upset because I said that I wanted to flip them off, even though I actually didn't, so they went down and told on me to a fake police officer, so he gets out his bag of hand gestures and tells us to get out, so I get all upset and shout at him that we weren't doing anything. He ignores it so my friends and I go up to the top of the stadium, he glares at us and calls the real police officer over. And of course he was walking over to us, so I ran to the other end of the stadium and then onto our side. It was kind of scary. I mean, thats the closest I've ever come to having 8 year olds get me in trouble with a cop, I mean, REALLY!!!! Gosh darnit they piss me off... except for Ian-Ben-Will, he's cute. But the others pissed me off. And I'm pretty sure that the police officer may have been looking out for me, I was pretty distinct.

And, the little guys called two of my friends hos. I mean, these little boys calling a girl a ho is the stupidest most hackin thing EVER!



Ok, I'm done ranting now. Now I'm just simmering and becoming even more pissed off....

Ok, so as some of you may have read when I was replying to someone on my new poem, "Here I Am" I have had an issue lately that has been completely bugging me to tears. I have a couple watchers who fave every single thing that I do! I'm not saying its a bad thing or anything like that, but I am quite upset because I don't know if any of them actually read the things I write. I would rather have comments and critique than favorites, I think that favorites are fun and all, but please, if you are gonna fave something of mine, please comment or something on it first or even instead of faving, because I need the comments and critique to keep me sane. Now, you probably know who you are, so I'm not gonna point fingers at anybody, but please, PLEASE stop with this insanity!!

Ok, so my whole little journal thing failed! I tried to not write in it, but I just couldn't! I guess writing stuff is just what I do!

Anyway, we were bored when I went to my youth group today, so we started talking about Star Wars and Darth Vader and such, and how it would be hilarious if Darth Vader went up to Luke in that whole seen with the "Luke, I am your father!" thing, but then this really funny guy did this great impression of Darth Vader and was all like, "Luke, I am your MOTHER!" and then I screamed and then it was like hysterical laughing... and then we somehow started talking about Harry Potter and Voldemort and such, and then we had this giant debate over who would win in an epic battle: Voldemort or Darth Vader? I was personally on neither side because I was kind of engrossed with the fact that their was Madden and I was beating my brother to a bloody pulp even though I have never played the game before in my life... I guess women are just all powerful So, my question for you all is: Who do you think should win, Voldemort or Vader? and what the heck is up with evil people and a name starting with V? *scratches head in confusion*

Also, while we are on the whole talking level tipe thing, what do ya'll think I should write about, cause I'm kind of stuck on all ideas... so anybody's help is more than welcome, even if I don't know you!
