Sorry for the late updtate but I got a bit tired of updating all my clubs so I took a break from all of them. Then the update got delayed again because I am now working full-time, which will leave me with so little free-time during weekdays because of the 4 hours of transportation I spend each day on the road. I can only update any of my clubs on weekends for now on unless I try to squeeze in some time for my clubs during weekdays. Anyway, I am back now and ready to update this club again. I am just sorry that I won't be able to update as often as I would like to. Still, I promise to never let this club die and I plan to update every few weeks or months with new major updates. I will still make minor updates like adding new members, affiliates, birthdays or submissions in between major updates so the club will still be running. Also, please forgive me for posting so many birthdays because I have to make up for the months I missed and I don't know when will be the next time that I will update the club.


Wow! I just realized that this club has finally reached over 300 members. This club now has 306 members. Congrats to ~cosplaygirls for tieing the spot of becoming the 300 members to join the club.

If you had noticed, I added some more links to the headings. I did this for several reasons. I noticed that with all the clubs that I run, sometimes I find that people don't know how to join a club properly and comment on the front page instead of sending a note. I had always expected people to go read the rules and find out how to join from there but either some or most people skip reading the rules. Sorry for not having the results for the contest up sooner. I was kinda got busy in my personal life and forgot to post the results. Anyway, without further ado, you can find the results HERE. If anyone is living in or around the Ottawa area, which is Canada's capital city, I found out that 4 big musicals are coming, which are "The Phantom of the Opera", "Cats", "Evita" and "Mamma Mia". Tickets for "The Phantom of the Opera" have already gone on sale and I got pretty good seats close to the centre and the front of the stage. I'm so excited. I 'might' also have extra tickets to sell if my mother doesn't give them away to my grandparents. They are very good seats. I had to get different tickets because I later found out that the person I am going with is working that day. I have very good news. My days going to the library are over because I recently got internet at home. Now for the rest of the summer, I will be updating whenever I want. I am very glad that my family finally has internet at home. It might be slow because it's dial up but that is all that is offered in the area. There is no high-speed nor satellite so we are stuck with dial up. It also works with our old ancient party line. Almost nobody has those old phone lines anymore. The internet is really cheap too. It will cost $10 a month until October 2007 going up close to $20 a month. At first, we thought that we had to upgrade to the new phone lines of today and pay more but we found out that we didn't have to after all. I'm glad because our phone bills are still cheap and we get to surf the web by keeping our party line.


I still don't know what my future will be by the time autumn/fall comes around. I am currently working my summer job one final time. Once that is done, I have to find a full time job. I don't know if I will continue living at home if I get a local job or move away if I find a job elsewhere. I would like to find a job locally but the closest city is really small and isn't high tech so I might have little success finding a job in web design. I can always fall back on my business background or do secretarial work while looking for my dream job afterwards. In the end, wherever I get a job, I most likely will still have internet access and keep this club, as well as my other clubs, running.


The voting period for the contest has been extended again. You now have until the end of the month to vote making that Thursday, May 31, 2007. I will announce the winner on Friday, June 1, 2007. You have until midnight in your own time zone to vote and please, please vote. There are still only 4 votes making it a 4-way tie. This may be the last update for a while. Usually I have unlimited internet access while I'm at school. Like every year since 2002, I am done school and I go home for the summer and my internet access become limited because I do not have internet at home and I have to resort going to the library. I can only go to the library one to three times a week staying online for 1 hour up to 4 hours or more. If the library becomes very busy, I have to get off and wait an hour so I often don't get to stay online for hours. I only get to do that if I get lucky and not many people come to use the computers. The reason why I don't have internet at home is because it's too expensive, like $60 a month, and my family is very poor. Another reason is that I live in the country so getting internet is not that easy but maybe now things are about to change. This may not be the last update for a while if things work out. I have recently learned that my mother has order internet and we might be able to afford it now. It's going to be dial-up and we are getting it within a week. Whoohoo! I am still in shock over this. I never thought we would ever get it. My family is tired driving me to the library. LOL But we do need the internet for other reasons.

The current contest has finally come to an end. I've also extended the deadline to vote because I didn't feel like it was enough time so you now have till Thurs. Whohoo! Almost a year ago, ~yami0204 was this club's 100^th member. ~EvaEvita has now become this club's 200^th member. Congradulations!


The new icon / avatar is now up. How does everyone like it? I think it looks real pretty. I worked really hard on it and it was worth it. I like the border and I'm also glad that I got to add more musical images while at the same time keeping the old ones. I hope everyone like it.

I'm back so the club is up and running again. I hope everyone had a fun holiday season. Happy New Year to everyone! I have two things to report one. First, I got rid of the newscastor position since no one applied for it. If anyone, in the future, would like to apply for the newscastor position, you may and I would gladly bring back the position. With the other piece of news, I have no idea whether it's good or not but I hope it will be good. The club is getting a new avatar/icon. I am presently working on it and I hope to have it done by next week. I didn't initially plan to make a new icon for this club. I started 5 new clubs a few weeks ago and was just planning to make avatars/icons for those new clubs. Once I started making them, I decided to news ones for my two existing clubs as well.

I have made some drastic changes. First I've split up "Members/Affiliates/Listings" to "Members" and "Affiliates & Listings" because it's grown so big and they finally need to be separated. Second, I changed only the icons/avatars in Members and Affiliates and replaced them with non icons/avatars leaving Listings the way it is. Third, I've added the "Blockquote" code to organize the journals a bit better.

Okay everyone! I'm back. First off, I would like to say that I'm extending the deadline of the contest to next week on Wed. Sept. 13/06 at midnight. I have to do this because I've fallen behind a bit in this club and I need to catch up. Besides this club, I'm also the admin of ~bsbclub and ~nekolisting and I just spent most of last week revamping Nekolisting. Plus, a whole bunch of people have asked to join this club and there's a lot of submissions to add so that's gonna take a while to do. I have lots of schoolwork to do too so I'll extend the deadline to the contest one more week which should give me enough time to catch up so expect a new update next week on Thurs. Sept. 14/06. Sorry for taking so long to update but so many things happened to me recently. My birthday was July 8 and I'm 25 now. On the same weekend as my birthday, I had to volunteer for a historical mility re-enactment and I was busy all week putting up posters. On top of that, the day after July 1, Canada Day, I became sick with a cold and I still have a lingering cough. I recently found out this week that it's an infection and I'm presently taking antibiotics to get rid of it. I hope it goes away soon. I'm getting really tired of coughing. I know there are many more people waiting to join the club but I just got in and it'll take me a while to add everyone. I'll have that done next week.

Note: I was originally planning on having a "Summer/School's out" contest but I've scraped that because I was recently going through the gallery and found out that I already did a summer contest last year so the "Club's ID" contest has been pushed ahead of schedule. Easter -</sup> This theme can either be fanart or fan fiction. Draw or write about any about Easter incorporating characters from any musical. Easter is a Christian celebration about Jesus Christ dying on the cross for our sins. You can make it religious if you wish but if you are not very religious or not a Christian, you may make your fanart or fan fiction about the Easter Bunny instead. That's the other side of Easter. I grew up with Easter egg hunts, a decorated Easter tree (a dogwood branch), finding hidden presents, etc. Easter was a lot of fun to me.

Spring - If you would rather not do Easter then you may do something about the Spring season instead. This theme can either be fanart or fanfiction as well. Do anything about the Spring season incorporating musicals. Flowers, atomsphere, walks in the park, etc.

If you wish to combine both themes in your work, you may do so as well.

This theme can either be fanart or fan fiction. Draw or write about any couple from the musical of your choice while incorporating Valentine's Day in it. Have someone serenading their love, sweeping them off their feet or someone giving their love chocolate or flowers. If you don't want to do a couple, I will accept submissions about someone trying to win the affections of another who doesn't return the feelings. If you don't want to draw a couple, you may draw something else as long as it has a Valentine's Day theme to it.

“Rent” DVD to Hit Stores in February

The DVD of the “Rent” film, based on Jonathan Larson’s Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical of the same name, will hit stores around the country next month.
A full-screen edition and a wide-screen edition of the Chris Columbus-directed movie musical is scheduled for a Feb. 21 release according to Amazon.com. The DVD has a list price of $28.96, although Amazon is currently accepting pre-orders for $19.99.

NEW YORK (AP) — With a burst of confetti, balloons and streamers — plus an emotional appearance by the musical's original star — Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera" set a theatrical record Monday night, becoming the longest-running show in Broadway history.

The occasion, performance number 7,486, was also marked by a striking curtain call. A sinuous white feline — from "Cats," the Lloyd Webber musical which was replaced at the top of the long-run throne — danced with the current Phantom, Howard McGillin, before bidding farewell to the stage.

I'm going home for the holidays today so I am extending the deadline of Contest 3. You now have until Sunday, January 1 2006 to submit your entry. The reason why I'm extending the deadline is that while I'm home, I won't have any internet access so this will now give you more time to create something.
