And what an amazing experience it was.

The aquarium is one of the biggest in the world, beat only by the Georgia Aquarium in size. We got in after a tour of the facilities, and it was so cool! There were nurse sharks, reef sharks, groupers, a couple HUGE turtles, and a WHOLE LOT of fish. We got to wave to the park-goers, as well as people eating dinner, since a restaurant looks into the aquarium. It was kinda funny: I was hovering around the dining room wall, and one of the guys near the window pointed to his food, pointed at me, and rubbed his belly. I took my reg out of my mouth and stuck my tongue out at him. Every one at his table (and several people at other tables) started laughing.

Oh, and a rule about underwater with a mask: everything seems one-third bigger and one-third closer. But it's still impressive when an 8 foot nurse shark cruises right by you, so close that you could reach out and touch it. (But I didn't, 'cause I'd get in trouble if I did...)

Sadly, we weren't allowed to bring cameras in the water, else I'd SO have some pictures to post. Nope, they had a camera guy down there, recording us so at the end of the dive we could pay them $25 for a DVD of the adventure. Which we did. XD
When I first saw myself on the DVD I was like," SOMEBODY MURDER ME." I was one of the last in "line", so it was: straight swimmer, straight swimmer, straight swimmer... and then here I come, bouncing along the bottom on my knees. But dad said I was doing fine, because most of the other "straight swimmers" were flailing their arms quite a bit (which is something you want to refrain from doing) and I wasn't.

All in all, it was an AMAZING experience, and great for beginning divers like me.^^ I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Hahahaha! Beat my previous record! Got 5 steps past the guards before they noticed me, that’s two more than last time! GTG, hauling @$$ to get away from the superior-to-me-in-every-way dark elf guards! XD

Note to self: when dealing with dark elves, sunlight is, for the most part, your friend! Gotta find a town... It’ll be night soon, and doubtless those drow are still looking for me. Watch out for spiders, tho, those vile little things’ll rat you out in a heartbeat. *is paranoid*

Aunt Charlene: NEVER trust an arachnid.... and drow are ok, as long as you dont have something they want... or talk to them.... or get in their way..... ok, maybe getting away is the best idea.. But know what works good against a drow when you have no sunlight? A DWARF....

Holly Newell: ROFL An image just popped into my head of someone chucking Gimli at a group of charging drow.

Aunt Charlene: that is ALWAYS an option, but I know most of 'em have magical tricks hidden on 'em somewhere, so they can figure out how to defend while you run for your life!

Holly Newell: "BAHAHAHA YOU DROW WILL NEVER CATCH ME! NEVE--*trips on a mushroom**faceplant* ". . .crap."

Aunt Charlene: and there is the horror movie influence.... you looked back, didn't you?

Holly Newell: Yup... apparently mushrooms in the Underdark can move on their own. But no worries, mate! Drizzt will be here any second now! . . . Aaany second now. . .
*Elsewhere* Drizzt: Is anyone else getting the feeling that we're supposed to be somewhere right now? Like in the Underdark or something?

Aunt Charlene: before you know it hon, you're gonna need Red Myst to come fly you out.... after all, a red dragon trumps 'em all..... of course, you have to REWARD us...

I love reading, I'm a very organized person when it comes to books (mine are all arranged on my bookshelf according to size XD) and what better place to learn more about my many interests than a library?
So I feel quite a bit more relaxed now that I have a definite direction I can start towards.

On another note, I've seen more wildlife in one day than I have in the past year: four snakes in my backyard (almost ran over two with the lawnmower), a wasp nest that I almost stepped on, and something that pushed the grass up from underground before disappearing (we think that was a gopher or something.)

Anyway, got a few art pieces I'm working on, between schoolwork and job hunting. Should upload those in the next week or so...

And one more thing: I've already used "Stand my Ground" and "The Howling" by Within Temptation in two fantasy music videos. Does anyone know of any other good fantasy songs like those that I might use in a third music video?

I looked at my watch and realized I had missed all of my college classes on the first day. So I ran out screaming all the way to campus, which was just across the street, so... (And I noticed as I was fleeing the pie joint, Jim snagged my unfinished piece... XP)But as I reached the door to my first period, I said to myself, "Eh, there's no point now. I'll just go in tomorrow," and I headed back across the street. The minute I stepped back into the pie shop, the college was destroyed by Megatron who was fighting Optimus Prime.
Then my brain kinda fizzled and I was standing in the grass, watching a black snake slither around. For reasons only known to my dream self, I reached down, grabbed it, and began... well, bashing its head on the sidewalk. I'll have you know, I like snakes, and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would I EVER do this.
The next bit had something to do with my grandpa, but I don't remember any of it... he was probably scolding me for killing the snake...
Then there was something with water....
Then I was a small black dragon, fighting alongside a fire breathing unicorn to try and kill this giant white dragon. We were on this huge snowy mountain top. In the middle of the fight, the white dragon flew off to another mountaintop to fight an evil red wizard. We followed the white dragon and were still trying to attack him, when he reached out and swatted me out of the air like I was nothing but a fly! I remember landing in the snow and not being able to move, then my phone rang and woke me up.

Wow, this is probably the longest journal that isn't a quiz that I've ever written.^^

...Ok... well! I got BioShock for my birthday (PC version) but we might have to return it cause it's NOT %@#$ING WORKING.
I also got a neat set of drawing inks and chinese calligraphy tools. And a new phone (Razr) and stereo! YEAH!
And we're going up north today, to Carolina and such. Horseback riding, white water rafting, digging for emeralds, stuff like that. It's supposed to be in the forties. Good. The weather down here SUCKS. To quote Walter: "Even in winter it's humid as hell, it's hot as hell."
K, I know it's not winter, but you get my point. I'll be back in two weeks!

And for some reason, I've been wanting it to be fall again...
