Where the wild flowers grow

2011 was the first year that I didn't get the opportunity to work with the wonderful BlackLillyFlower.
We had over 30 shootings in the time from July 2009 to August 2010 and our collaboration in these 14 months made me the photographer I am today. Seeing 16 months pass by without the opportunity to work together again feels like a loss to me.

The only thing that saddens me is that I don’t get the opportunity to work with my muse, the lovely Lilly, for at least another couple of month. Sadly her studies demand almost all of her time.

But 2011 looks pretty good so far.  I started a new photography project called “The Bohemian Boudoir” with my new assistant, the lovely Amie, who will be my photography companion from now on. Lilly got a Daily Deviation a few days ago for one of her awesome self-portraits! This work holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first concepts we developed together. We hadn’t met in person yet, but we chatted for some time and were discussing photo projects and posing ideas. This artwork is a result from one of these discussions.

My birthday is coming up, 32 years. Time just flies by.
To honor this occasion I’ve grown a beard (malicious gossip has it that I was to lazy to shave in the first three days, which I completely deny). Lilly says it makes me look way older now (or maybe she just said “old”, I mentally blocked that part of our conversation out of my memory).
Well, my new facial appearance will be featured in one of the upcoming deviations in the next weeks, so you can decide that for yourself when you see it.

Lilly visited me last week. :heart:
We hadn't seen each other in 2 months and it was about time that we could be with each other once again. We had a great time, full of fun and (of course) photo shootings.
We left the house just once to visit an historical exhibition which centered around the murder of the archbishop of Cologne in 1225. I'm a total history buff so that was a total win for me and Lilly loved it too.

At first I want to say Thank You to everyone who has added my photos to their favs! I’m afraid I can no longer thank everyone with a personal comment like I did in the past, because my new job takes 12 hours away from me on every weekday. It’s kind of far away, and I have to travel three hours each day. And let me tell you, German trains are not more punctual than trains in any other country. :giggle:
