I will be going back to New Orleans in 2 weeks or so. I will be there for four days. One of those days I am going to go to Shreveport and a few other places -- should be great, can't wait, really!!
In the mean time, I will continue editing past photos, working on faces -- can't get them out of my head.

I bought a infrared filter recently, but haven't had much of a chance to use it. I think this weekend, maybe. So, perhaps I will have a few new IR photos to post. We will see...

New Orleans was totally amazing -- wow factor of a million. I wish I had had more time. I am planning another trip there in a month. I will spend a few days there and drive up to Shreveport. It seems to have a rather nice selection of cemeteries.
I am seriously considering moving to New Orleans. What a beautiful place -- so much history. When I was there, it felt like home. I don't get that feeling very often.
Anyway, I have tons of photos, so I will be submitting daily for a while. I hope you enjoy the photos and the features.

New Orleans up next -- 14 days away and it seems like it's years away.
I am going through cemetery withdrawal and it's harder than it was to quit smoking. Pure madness.
But, yes -- not a lot to report. I have just been researching the southeastern U.S.

New Orleans -- 2 weeks away, can't wait.
Going through cemetery withdrawal, getting weaker!
Yeah, enough of that -- I am starting to go crazy, though.
I have a lot planned. A week after New Orleans, I have a big trip planned to Shreveport, LA., Jackson, Miss. and every pre-civil war town I can get my lense on.
Not a lot going on till then. I wish there were.

The only cemetery I visited this weekend was in the coastal town
of Apalachicola. Not alot there, just some flower reliefs and a couple of other goodies.
New Orleans is next in several weeks. Can't wait for that!
I am getting a new infrared filter this week. I am very excited about it. I can't wait to see what it does to the statues.

So, Waycross was not the place to be. I can say that area of Georgia is free of the statue menace, really beautiful drive though. So, I shot Thomasville again.

Not sure where to go next. I am truly lost at the moment. I have hit everywhere in day trip range. I guess I could get up early and get back really late. Whatever has to be done, will be done.

Columbus was nice -- not a very large cemetery, but it had a few statues and some nice flower reliefs. The thing that left an impression on me the most was the air raid siren test. Wow, I think people should go there just for that.

So, yes ... next, hmm... Let's see, how about ....Waycross, Georgia!!!!
Yes, yes, I know. Very exciting place? I have a hunch it might have a nice cemetery and there are a few towns along the way that might merit a look.

I was in the middle and all i could see in any direction were graves
lost in the land of the dead,it was great
Rome Georgia Myrtle Hill cemetery,should have been myrtle mountain one of the most unique i have ever seen
you could could fall and die while visiting so be careful really!
there are amazing statues there
The most suprising was Westview in Atlanta Georgia
Wow what have i been missing that is a must see for anyone visiting
Atlanta
Very large tons of beautiful statues could have spent all day there but had to get to oakland cemetery for that most precious afternoon light
you know the last two hours of sunlight "golden"
so yes that is that now im planning my next trip
and recouping from travel and work this past mounth
