So my life this past week has consisted of the following:

Playing Assassins Creed 2, going to work, playing assasins creed 2, sleeping, going to work, playing assasins creed 2, sleeping, playing assasins creed 2, a bit more sleep and work and playing assasins creed 2. With the exception of wednesday when we had no power for most of the day due to maintainance work, and saturday due to working all day, I have played AC2 every day, so its not real surprise that I've finished it already.

It was awesome and obsessive. I love Ezio's mother Maria for the vagina comment (I had to pause the game for a while from laughing too much to concentrate) and Leonardo was cool. I liked the added quests through assassin tombs. It was very 'rince of persia' and I liked. I got adventurous with the free running and wall climbing, especially after learning the jump-climb from the thieves, nothing is safe from me now! I had a laugh by climbing on top of every church cross (some were even view points so I had to!!), and killed myself by accident once when I slipped off one while turning - but the best thing was I killed a guard by landing on him. XD I spent a lot of money on those courtesans. They were fun to walk around with and useful besides. And pickpocketing I ended up doing before I was "taught" it by Paula, though I didn't know how I was doing it at first. I earned the "Kleptomaniac" trophy very fast after that though. The poisoned blade didn't work as well as I had hoped as a lot of the time I ended up pulling a killing move instead of just a quick poison-tap, thus annoying me a bit.
I agree with Kaxen - I miss the praying pose.... but we gained some better things in return. Like lots and lots of fighting moves, though I could never manage to disarm anyone when I tried - it was always by accident and just when the fight ends. I like the swimming option. It meant that I could just jump off any building by water and I didn't loose half my health through impatience of not wanting to climb down. The glyphs are at last finally explained! After months of torture to us mad fans trying to decipher the code and all along it was computer files. Cheeky!
For some reason I really can't explain fully I was amused by Shaun. And I kept thinking either he or Rebecca would end up being a Templar spy (rebecca being the most likely in my books). But yeah, Shaun was entertaining even when he was being annoying. I think it was his accent. And Altair's appearance was... unexpected for its contents. But other wise kind of cool. Though I have to ask: was I the only one who felt really odd to be walking past those Templars without them chasing you or even acknowledging you? It was a bit creepy after spending AC in a run/fight relationship with them.

I'm currently feather hunting. I'm missing 9 feathers.... from somewhere. Only I have no idea where and I want that Auditorie cape!!! So I'm going to have to scour every city and surrounding land again for them. Damn. Wow its been a while since I've updated my journal huh? Whoops. Ah well, not much to report really. Been stuck working mostly. Before october expo I spent all my free time trying to finish my cosplays. I have more free time now but I'm really lazy thus haven't been doing much. However I warn you all now - don't expect me to be around on the 29th November... I shall be glued to my PS3 and nothing short of a power cut will keep me from playing AC2 (unless the postal service fails epically and doesn't deliver - you'll all know when AC2 arrives). And hopefully I can get a bigger TV before then... have to wait for my sister to come home first (as she knows where the place I'm after is).
Not been doing much in terms of arty-type stuff, though not through lack of wanting too. I simply either have no time due to work or lack the inspiration to do anything. Even my expo photos are suffering as they're just sitting on my PC... not posted (by me anyway - my group have posted the ones they wanted to).

My keyboard is annoying me by not behaving. It keeps having spaz attacks on me when I'm part way through typing. Grrr
Anyway. I hope to have some things to post soon, whatever the media, but no promises.

Its my birthday in... oh tomorrow. Yeah I don't keep track of these things overly well for some reason. But on the upside I got a present early. Its a joint pressy from my parents and a few siblings. Nice new Tomtom for my car so now I can go anywhere!!! People should fear that, though as I have yet to get the hang of the thing you are all safe for a while.
So yeah I am enjoying a couple of rare days off though I still have to work on Saturday which is lame but still I get a sunday off (very very rare occurance). I have been meaning to get on with so many things that I still haven't started but I am lazy and now work a lot more then I used to since I have finished uni. I have a long list of things I need to do... so natuarlly I am sitting here at the computer completely ignoring them.... XD



Work unfortunately is not going as well as it was. Well correction the work isn't so bad its more a few individuals that aren't going so well. Someone - and I only have a suspicion right now of who it is - is telling one of the other supervisors (oh yeah I got sort of half-promoted to a "fill in all the schedule gaps" supervisor, which means I do the work but am not offically a supervisor on their system) that I am bitching about them, claiming that they are lazy and are always on holiday and that they do whatever they want. Not of this is fucking true and it is pissing me off that the supervisor actually believes it. For her to believe it so out right it has to be coming from someone who she trusts and that pretty much leads me down to one person really but I can't be sure. So now I am spending my work hours avoiding this supervisor (and the person I suspect) as much as possible because I am getting sick and tired of being accused every time I see her. Last night, when I ended up alone with her for the last two hours of my shift, she actually started a conversation by saying "Have I offended you in some way?". Oh yeah that conversation was fun(!) I am about ready to kill someone and am so close to bloody quitting right now it is ridiculous. The only reason why I haven't actually just up and quit over the amount of crap I have to put up with at the moment is the small fact that I need the damn money.

But just to leave you all on a cheery-ish note after that rant: I stumbled across this ([link]) in the daily deviations and was partly facinated, partly amused, and only slightly put out. Enjoy!

Ok I know everyone does like to comment and joke about how I pretty much only drink diet coke... but this is sort of taking the mick now...

I thought I'd be a bit healthier and try drinking more water, so for the past two days I've drank only squash and water. I've been feeling really tired and had a near constant headache since then. Then I have one glass of coke today and poff! I'm feeling a lot better and much more awake.

I probably have a caffine addiction... quite a bad one if I get headaches after a few hours without it. Damn! I guess that really does mean I drink the stuff far too much if I'm that reliant on it.

Oh yes - the Creed lives on! [link] Seems to have hit a few snags though as accessing it was near impossible for a bit but its all fixed now by the looks of it. First mission is ready to go... but I think I'll skip this round. Hopefully the next mission will be a good one as well. I miss the days of 1191ad and our "brotherhood". Thinking about it wasn't it around this time of year that the first brotherhood aappeared?? Nice planning there Ubisoft! I partially hope we get some over lap in the games as the end of AC1 will be pointless really if we don't but it still looks awesome. I preordered the 'Black' edition within hours of it becoming availible and that looks good with additional game play and the figurine and extras.
I watched the E3 game play video and it really does look fun. Looks like Kaxen was very close in guessing the fun with DaVinci's machines! And her old haystack jokes about containing assassins is spot on this time around. I love all the extra game moves and abilities. I can see myself spending a while swimming around and climbing up those amazing buildings. Italy is beautiful in the 15th centuary with its renaissance architexture and masqued balls.
Ezio's arsenal is also suitably modified. The good old hidden blade has been promoted into double quantity, you can snatch weapons off and use against the very guards that are attacking you and my new favourite - a pistol!!! Pure traditional nobel man's toy. Very fitting. And as its a single shot weapon its gonna be a rarely used item, so it shouldn't get boring too quickly.
The music score for the game is done again by Jesper Kyd and after listening to it on the "secret" section of the widget (crack the security and its there) I shall admit the man has once again come up with something brilliant! I can't wait for more ACII trailers now. I hope they do some like they did the Crevanties trailer from AC1. I loved that trailer.

haha and here I am rambling over Assassin's creed again. XDDD Oh dear. Still I need the hype as I'm getting seriously stressed in life so this shall be good to unwind with! (Though I may just end up living on the Creed again like I did with the 1191ad: everything else was slotted around it) Mmmm I need to get some decent artwork from Ubisoft to update my LJ layout with. Its still on my old AC one - as is my screensaver. XDD

So today I have learn two very important things.

1). Gardening or anything to do with, is not my thing

and 2). Wheelbarrows are dangerous!!!

I'll explain so you don't all think I'm totally crazy.

I went with my parents to what was my grandpa's house before he died (we're now selling it as Joan - my "step-grandma" - has moved out) to help them just tidy up the garden a bit, as things like the grass would need cutting. After getting up at 6am I was already less enthusiastic over going. Got there and the grass stands at about a foot high and the garden is fucking huge (biggest garden in the area, oh joy!) so you know its gonna take a while to get it done. Mum starts cutting backa bsh out front as dad starts on the grass. For the first two passes of the whole lawn he doesn't bother using the bucket thing on the back of the mower as it would fill up too quickly (which we were expecting thus we brought a spring rake). After helping mum out front for a bit I then go round back to start raking cut grass. Seriously after two hours I was barely half way down the garden. As the weather forcast was "overcast" for today apparently I'm there in a T-shirt, old trousers and a hoodie. The hoodie was taken off within half an hour as the sun came out.... I do not mix well with the sun. I have pale skin and it has a nasty tendancy of burning very quickly, and here's me without any sun block. After four hours - yes four!!!! - of raking grass and a little bit of trimming bushes at the end (dad was making the final cut on the grass with the bucket on thank you!!!) we were done for the day. I had to keep retreating into the house or linger in the shade by the compost heap quite often and that is the only reason I am not sun burnt. My left arm is quite pink though.... so that may end up pealling all the same.

And wheel barrows!!! I was using one to cart the raked grass from the lawn to the compost heap at the bottom of the garden and all was going well with it. I didn't turn it over once (which says something with the amount of grass in the way) or mis-steer it anywhere etc. Then once while emptying it, somehwere around the time I had 1/3 the garden raked, my foot slipped as I was pushing the thing further to the back to empty it and now I'm missing skin from my shin and had a massive swollen lump from where I grazed the skin really deeply. Some hours later and it still hurts but has thankfully stopped bleeding now: Still swollen though. Also there were some viscious blackberry brambles snaking across the grass. I thin the longest stalk stretched about four meters across the lawn... and I tripped on it several times before we managed to get rid of it. So I have weird scratches on the back of my left leg near the ankle, which look as if I've been attacked by a cat. Oh!!! there was a cat in the garden next door and it was a Hitler cat. Was black and white with a white face, black ears and a black "moustache" just like Hitler. Was damn funny.

Well anyway, lesson learnt: I do not mix with gardening! I'll be quite happy with a place without a garden and the only plants I'll have will be fake so then I don't even have to remember to water them. Cleaning I can do. Cleaning I'm not bothered by and can do quite well when I get around to it. But gardening is definately not for me.

Got my results today. I passed. XDDDD Got a 2:1 overall which is great - I would have been pleased with a 2:2 really as I knew I hadn't done the absolute best I could have for some of it, so a 2:1 is great! I scared myself by getting full marks in one of my modules. Apparently my essay was perfect which is a real rarity. Its was my 'techniques in identification of human remains' module and the essay was on something about facial recognition as a method of identification. I can't remember much on it... so I can't really say whether i expected a good mark or not. XDD Second in my highest marks (there were two modules for this) was for my 'advanced DNA' module. From what I recall of it (yes I have terrible memory) it was a fun module despite one of my groups DNA gel runs not working properly... that was just annoying. This module drew second with IRCS - Investigating and Reporting Crime Scenes. This module was good - could have been better but it was still good. For those not following the forensic stuff here this was the "mock crime scene" stuff. It went from crime scene to court, and is marked as a group investigation, scoring from performance on scene, laboratory analysis and reports, and presentation in court.
Worst mark was for 'Forensic anthropology' but apparently all of the people on the course were pissed over their marks. Of course the fact that the lecturer spent the entire time talking about bones (which is not actually what forensic anthropoology is about, its just a small bit) didn't help at all or the fact that his set essay questions made absolutely fuck all sense - and he wanted something completely different from what he was asking for. Seriously his "explain" questions were supposed to be more of an "argue the point of" type answer (which is actually what the "discuss" questions were supposed to be about), while the ones requirning an explaination as an answer were made out as something else. I think this was my least favourite module out of the entire three year degree. It even beats Law modules - which says a lot when I detest law.

My life has gone from a few uni classes, bit of work and lots of internet to a sudden and abrupt change of work work work, bit of internet, more work and work some more. I had a rare day off yesterday and got to see the new Transformers movie. I like it. Story is a little lame in places and I had to look away in some parts because it seriously put me off (blonde girl and the um... "tail" for example) but the action scenes made up for it. The CGI and speical effect are amazing, and the sheer amount of in-jokes and general fun in it is great - though I thought a lot of them a little too adult in places for kids (why was it a 12a??? seriously it should be a 12+ at least). It is almost none stop action the entire way though the film which made it interesting and highly entertaining though some of the new autobots annoyed me!!!! The twins were funny at times and then down right annoying at other points - unfortunately they were annoying more often then funny.
So more work equals more money.... not really as its all going straight into bills and other important stuff. Some of my siblings want me to join them for a few days down near Poole at my brothers house, which woud be good (despite sun = burning for me) but trying to get time off in July is painful. Its the beginning of summer holidays, meaning the world and his wife are trying to get time off then. I've already been told the first few weeks of July are totally out, but I'm hoping I can get some of the last week of July off maybe. Or at least a couple of days so I can maybe at least visit. It is doubtful though.

Cosplay has progressed over all by very little. No money or time, nor full details for some of it means that I can't really do much right now. Latest Bleach manga... is epic. Considering it doesn't really reveal much about my three most favourite characters (yeah that is Shun, Uki and Stark) except Stark's released form. XDD Its so epically pimpish that I want to hug the stuffing outta him. And maybe cosplay that too. XDDD
Guns! (or what appear to be guns) and a totally 20/21 century look with a fur lined pimp coat and furry boot covers!!! Big hood, bullet chains, half mask and a suit under neath - I love it. XDD
And Kyouraku taking his outter haori off means big business. I'm kinda wondering whether him tossing it at Ukitake was a way of keeping Ukitake out of the fight to protect him or something. Kyouraku certainly seems to be deliberately taking the majority of the action, stepping up to fight Stark with anyone having to query it. Though obviously Ukitake will still end up fighting - Stark want to see both of their bankais after all so that shall eventually progress somewhat.

In other news I've been using my free time to upgrade my PC and Playstation 3, even though I don't really have the money spare for it (car tax, MOT and insurance due with the next month - sucks!). So I finally get around to buying that external harddrive I've been meaning to get for about oh.. two years... XDD and I'm still making my lazy way through sorting everything out with files, programs and space issues. My documents folder looks so scarily empty now I almost want to cry (until I remember its all over on the new harddrive). My PS3 has had a um.. "minor" upgrade. I swapped out the harddrive for a bit more space. So my 60GB PS3 has now become a um... 320GB PS3.... and I fixed the internet problems so I can connect to network again and update etc. In celebration I decided to give that PS Home game Xi a go... and I've pretty much done over half of it already. Go a little addicted to it. The mini games are good fun though I do suffer the occational glitchy bug so something won't work (one of the puzzled in the maintainance area won't work and the alpha zone teleporters won't always work). After going semi-crazy over the task of completing the 6 minigames (AZ1) in under five minutes I scared myself when I finally completed the task. I kept getting times of around 5 minutes 30seconds and that was the lowest I could get. Then I finished the task in 4m24s and was shocked. I didn't think I was gonna make the time limit at all seeing as I was zombie nabbed afew times and missed a few cows (if you play Xi you'll know what I'm on about). The hover bike game was fun but the glitch means I can't get my fragment from it.I need 25,000 points to clear that game and I got over 27,000 but still no fragment (done it several times now).

The new Assassins Creed game looks epic. I pre-ordered the Black edition which comes with limited edition statue and more game contents, despite the price because it looked good. Anyone from the old Brotherhood heard news of the new Brotherhood setting up yet?? I joined the last one late in the game but I want to be with the new one from the start as the old one rocked. Thats one thing I like about the Xi game in PS home - it reminds me of the brotherhood tasks, only you actually play in virtual reality instead of forum based. If the new brotherhood took the route of Xi then it would be awesome.

Recently went on a mass-anime watch and watched the entire series of Tales of the Abyss (I blame ~Malfoymation for that addiction and the one to the theme song) and some other animes, which has extended my list of possible cosplays by a ton. Too many cosplays and not enough funds and time. I wish "post expo exhaustion" was a valid excuse for calling in sick to work. Sadly its not so I have to suffer work while absolutely knackered. I thikn we all got stupidly small amounts of sleep over the weekend. I know we only got around 3 and a half hours sleep on the friday night/saturday morning before trudging off to EXPO. next night I got a tad more sleep as the other stayed up to drink and I turned in before them and sunday night I was absolutely knackered so I also retired before most of hte others. Though I still only got a few hours sleep each night.

Expo was EPIC. Between having Kaien pushed in a bush by Ulquiorra of all people and having furry catapillars crawling all over the ground it was pretty much none stop randomness and fun.

Went down friday morning and basically just chilled the rest of the day while also fixing wigs and ironing stuff. Nipped to ASDA briefly to stock up on food and drink - I ended up eating this amazing strawberry cheesecake with waffles on it. I want a whole cake of it, its that nice. Despite not really doing much we still ended up saying up until past 2am though. I can't really recall what we were doing until then though... The friday night we did end up nipping out first togive this guy a sword and then for randomness with other cosplayers. Started out as Kaien before swapping to Stark. Other then that I really don't recall much. I think it was friday night that we watched Night in the Museum... it was Sunday night for Family guy and Britain's got talent (and the start of Black Beauty movie Monday morning XDD)

Saturday - which turned out to be a scortcheer of a day - was spent prancing around in virtually a full leather suit. I was Vincent Valentine (FFVII Dirge of Cerberus) and the only bit of skin visable on me was half of my face. XDDD I loved the reactions everyone had when noticing I was wearing coloured contacts. So many people freaked at seeing red eyes. ^____^ I wasn't too bad for most ofthe day but after returning inside after joining in breaking the expo's offical world record I just suddenly baked. I had Ookamiaku with me as a totally awesome Zack Fair (FFVII Crisis Core), while Malfoymation, Pommexkiss, Matsumoto-san and Dani all paraded as Vampire Knight characters, ShadowChan and FightingFox did Prince of Tenis (no idea who though as I've never seen/read the anime or manga) and Brody was a guy from Ragnarok I believe.
Saturday night after a bleach espada dinner we changed into shinigami robes and went outside for a surprise birthday cake do for Malforymation (which Tousen218 ended up giving away during the dinner - damn you alex!!! lol). My lame camera wouldn't take decent photos in the dark so all my photos are blurred and fuzzy. Or in one case all you can see is Aizen and Gin's taicho haoris. Ghosts XDDD. Kaien ended up in a bush... because Ulquiorra (shadowChan) pushed me in.

Sunday was our Espada day. We managed to get most of the espada too. We had:

Halibel = Ookamiaku (who later changed to Gin because of comfort issues)
Ulquiorra = ShadowChan
Grimmjow = Brodygrimmjow

Bargan, Nnoitra, Zomarie, Syazel and Aaroniroe were also present at the Bleach meet, but weren't actually part of our group. We were only missing a Yammy in total though.

I was really surprised at being the only Stark there. I though others were going as Stark but there were none. There was only one other Halibel and in general a serious lack of cosplayers as Espada. It was still fun though. Pommexkiss went as an amazing Nana, and then changed into Miyavi later. Wow - just wow. I have finished the last of my uni things now. All I have left to do is wait for my results and pray I've passed. I had my mock court yesterday. Its was... not what I was expecting. I think I did really well. There were only two bits of my court report that they tried to lay into. The first was one of my "qualifications" was membership to a national society thing that no longer exists, but not a major problem really as my qualifications are all fabricated for the report anyway (they had to be). The second was that I didn't actually include any dates in my explanation of how the "prosecution" contacted me and the time between then and now. I did have the whole "and five days later..." bits just no actual dates. I was actually *PRAISED* over explaining that I had decided to continue the evidence numbers over as "another" person had the same initials as me andto avoid confusion I would start my list where they stopped. We had to pretend we were two people - the people who went to the crime scene and examined it, and to be an "expert" called in to analyse the evidence post-scene. So yes I think I did well in my court. XDD

*Malfoymation took me to see the new Wolverine movie - which was better than expected. I wasn't holding my hopes too high after how much they butchered the original X-Men movies (compared to the marvel comics anyway) but it was quite good. Very fast paced in places and lots of action scenes. And yes *Malfoymation and *Ookamiaku will both comment on this if I don't: but GAMBIT!!!!!!!! Highlight of the film. For me anyway. Taylor Kirtsch is good in the role (as small a part it had) though his eyes were no right. Gambit had black eyes with red irises but Kirtsch had his mnormal eyes in it. I got my hopes up when I first saw him as he was hiding his eyes under a hat. Then he looked up and had normal eyes. Sucks!!!! He had a bo staff - not Gambit's actual bo staff but a fair substituion of a glass-gem topped walking cane thing. None of his charged attacks actually glowed red. Or exploded as they should have done, though they still had a ton of power behind them. All in all seeing Gambit made me hyper as *Malfymation and *Ookamioaku know. XDD

Then the pair of them took me to the midnight showing of Star Trek on wednesday night. The film is EPIC. So funny and had a lot of Trekkie in-jokes in it, as well as Kirk's frustration over trying to get Uhura's first name - any Trekkies out there should get that. I may just go see it again soon. XDDDD The interactions between the characters is great and I love how they brought most of the original bridge crew characters into it. Chekov, Sulu, Uhura, Kirk and Spock obviously, Scotty, and Doc. McCoy!!!!! *happy dance* I didn't actually realise it was Eric Bana playing Nero. I really didn't. I see Hector from Troy and put him along side Nero from this and... it doesn't match. (Illogical Jim!!) He plays the role well though. As does Zachary Quinto as Spock. He is perfectly cast in that role. He can even do that quirky eyebrow lift the way the original Spock does - another person did not realise was in the film. XDDD I had only seen the trailer a few time and never caught him in it so I was surprised when he appeared. Even though the guy is like 70 something he still looks like Spock! He has aged soooooo well. And Karl Urban as Bones!!!!! Epic! And they even threw in the line "I'm a doctor, not a physicist!" I seriously love this film.


I have - shockingly enough - spent the past few days sewing. Yes sewing! I apparently can sew. I'm not very good by hand though I can manage the absolute basics. But using my parent's sewing machine I can do fairly well. Ok so can most people but mine is not an electric sewing machine. I did it. My freaky long exam is over and my wrist has gone dead. Not dead in the sense of no feeling, but dead as in I can't possibly do anything with it and it hurts like hell. Apparently writing for 3 and a half hours straight will do that. I finished early too - 15 minutes early. *happy ddance*

Over all it went.... ok, I guess. The section on fires wasn't too bad, as I could remember all the details from a case study except the name of the place, though the bomb sence management section short fused my brain. CBRN (Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear warefare) wasn't as bad as I though it would be. I remembered enough examples for every type except the chemical "blister" agents. I could only remember Sulphur Mustard gas. Which is nasty enough anyway. The best bit and the section I was looking forward to was the firearms questions. XDDDD I wrote sooooooooo much for that. Like five pages sort of length (others got 2 pages max each) and by then I had to move on as I was running out of time. But I think I covered most of that section well. The questions there were fun. One was about if a sheotgun had fired a single shot at the scene but no gun or cartridgee were left behind what evidence could you gain from the scene in terms of firearms. And the other was a victim died from a single bullet wound and a revolver was recovered from the scene. What questions would the firearms expert be able to answer - explain how. XDDD It was good. Made killing my arm worth it.

Now all I have is the mock court next week and I am home freeeeeeeee (providing I actually passed my exam and other stuff). Well in uni context anyway. I still have a truck load of work hours so little rest for me. T^T I seriously need a day off to just do fuck all but sadly I don't have one of those for a long time. If I am not working I am trying to finish stuff off. I need to kick my dad into hurrying up with the shelves he said he's make for me. I need to arrange my "entertainment center" (TV, freeview box, PS3, Wii, CD player) and free up more surfaces. Seriously for the size of my room I have crap amount of space free. *needs to tidy room* I am hopin to get some of my list done within the next few days as I seriously need to get a move on. So I'll be back to burning my fingers on friendly plastic after this and then attempting to sew a few things... um... I need to paint over some scuff marks on a few things and style some wigs. Oh and make a frickin weapon from scratch. Yeah I'm not getting much sleep over the next few weeks.

Why oh why did I chose to do 'the War on Terrorism Explained' module this year at uni??? Oh yeah my choices were social science or law... Law is a "must avoid because I HATE it" thing so social science was my only option. Out of the availible modules in social science that I could do tWoTE module was the best. The other modules were either outright political, about psychology or just generally I had no idea what the fuck it was about. So "the war on terrorism" won. Now I am stuck writing a 3000 word essay on the best question I could find off the list. "Explain Pakistan's role in the war on terror since 9/11" oh yes its riveting. So far I have read over 20 newspaper articles, searched through five useless books and am currently trying to locate adecent journal on what I am after. Athens is a good site most of hte time for this so fingers crossed I'll find something. Nexis has given me a ton of newspaper and publication sources to go through. I am currently on source 36 out of 2390.... yeah its slow going.

Still its not to bad over all. at least I understand the question - unlike half the list of availibe questions. I just have to write 3000 words. Its due in before 4pm monday via the online Blackboard system, but I want to finish it as soon as I can so I can send
it before then. Naturally I haven't written a word of it yet (though I am compiling a plan and rough notes - which I rarely do so its a plus) but I am hoping to have 3/4 of it done by saturday at the very least - if I have not finished it by then any way. It is going to be murder. I hate it I really do but its my final assignment left to write. *happy dance* Just an exam and a mock court ot live through after this and I am done!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After putting it off for a while I decided I'd actually start my final report for IRCS module. Only I'm coming down ill with something. How typical. It started out as a sore throat but now my nose is going all stuffy, I have the start of a headache and I'm really sleepy. My room also smells delightfully of Olbas oil - I only used a tiny amount on a tissue but everytime i walk back into my room I get a waft of olbas oil. I actually like the smell.
But I've finished off writing up the practical book at least. its all neat and tidy. I just have to examine the fingerprints and then write a report on my findings etc and a court report to go with it (which is going to be hell) for next monday so I can give it to my team as I can't get in on the hand in date of next tuesday as I am working. bah. After that I have a mock court to attend at the beginning of May and IRCS is finished. I have one other essay - for 'the War on Terror Explained' (or twote) - and an exam in the week after next week (starting monday 27th) then I have finished uni completely (praying I pass). I've finished my classes already so its just the exam and coursework left to do. My last actualy day of doing anything Uni related is May 8th, when I have to go through a mock court (in which our lectureres will rip us appart to show us how bad real life is). It seems so weird to be at the end of uni. Y^Y
I was going to attend the Summer Ball, but due to having absolutely no money I won't be going now. And graduation (which is thankfully optional) may also be out as I have to pay for my tickets AND rent my bloody robes.... but I am seriously not fussed about attending it anyway as it will be majorly boring. I only intended to go initially because its my graduation ceremony and I only get one really. But I'm not fussed and my parents aren't too fussed so no one is really missing anything if I decide in the end to not attend. It would actually mean a whole lot less hastle for me.

So instead of getting uni work out of the way like I should have been doing I have been working, watching and reading InuYasha, working, painting and messing around with plastics, entertaining my sister who was over for easter, working, sufing the internet and working. My hours have increased to almost stupid amounts really but I need the money so I shall suffer. The ironic thing is work is decreasing hours of lots of people due to over budgetting for the latest period and yet I have suddenly got a ton of shifts.... XDDD The taste-tester stand works well. I started with the bakery cake things we have in the 2 for £3 offer (cornflake cakes, caramel shortcake, brownie, double cho mini-muffins, ginger bread and, flapjack) which went quite well. But on the Thursday stand I had to do hot cross buns as someone had ordered far too many and we really needed to boost their sales. I am surprised by how many we sold in one day. Out of the supply we would normally take about four days to get rid of we sold over half. Which translated to something like 100 packets - a really big sale seeing as ASDA and co were flogging theirs dirt cheap - which is what is killing supermarket trade by the by. We're only a "local grocery" store really, not a supermarket so those sales are huge! No idea what or when I'm next doing taste-tester though. They have yet to actually tell me - as usual it'll end up last minute decision.

I finished my Human ID essay - sorry.. "critical evaluation"... its still a bloody essay to me. So I only have um.... three more reports, one exam (three hour long one at that) and a mock court thing to go through. XDDD After that I graduate (providing I pass everything that i). My 'Summer Ball' is May 16th and I need to buy my ticket. I am definately going this year as its my final one despite the fact I am working the next morning. So I need to buy ticket and a dress. Yes.. me in a dress. Rare occurance. Oh! Yeah I need to order my graduation robes and pay for my tickets. I need more money. T^T Summer ball shall be fun though as we have a fun fair, disco-type thing, and live bands playing

So now I can get back to my cosplays. I denied myself the past four days as a means of motivating me into essay writing. I meant to start the essay last week and I only actually started it.. um yesterday. XD. Tomorrow is fabric hunting (and yes i am attempting to sew here) for Vin and Project Primera and wwhatever else I get up to before work, Thursday is essay hand in and meeting Her Majesty's Coroner for a Q&A session. Friday is giving blood, cos-crafting and what ever else I can be bothered to do. Saturday is more cos-crafting hopefully. Sunday is working all day - BUT!!! I get to do a new section at work. I'm onthe taster stand. XDDD I was on it today. Its something our temporary manager Rob and a visiting manager Joe (scottish bloke who was a right laugh) decided might be a good idea. Today was hot-cross buns and jam. We sold out of Hot-cross buns, that is how well it went. I sold half of my jam too which was more than others managed through out the day. None of the other staff wanted to work the taster stand. Why not??? Seriously its a great thing to do. I get paid *PAID* to stand around and talk to people. Normally we all get told of for talking to people (too much talking that is) so I'm getting paud to be sociable. Plus it means more hours availible to me - I finish my classes on thursday and have maybe four more days in uni between then and the end of may before I finish so more work is good - I need the money!!!!

And I'm all hyper over october now too. I blame ~Ookamiaku and =ShadowChan for that. XDDD I get fur and claws (with another effin' long wig) on one day and clock and hat ( and another long ish wig) and be blue on the other and shall be hyper ALL weekend. XDDD

Only two months to go!!! TWO!!! I need to do far too much stuff!!!! Damn! I have an essay/critical evaluation due in in two weeks time and then an essay on terrorism, a court report and a group report due straight after easter break (about a month's time) the following that I have an exam and a mock-court thingie to go through. So I have aton of uni stuff to do... but I'm focusing on cosplaying instead. XDDD

I have to wait until monday to access the journal request section of the uni library so I can't really do anything for the critical review yet anyway. XDD But it shouldn't take too long really as its only 2000 words. Which will be challenging to limit it down to that. I have to "critically evaluate the literature concerning all aspects of facial recognition for use in the identification of an individual" which is a HUGEEEEE topic, so I have a lot of stuff to work from. I just need to actually sit down and write the damn thing. XDDD I suck at doing that before "last minute" so I'm there on the day of hand in writing it all up. But I'm not actually in uni on the hand in date as I have appointments that day so I have to do it early. I want to ideally (and this is totally not going to happen knowing me) get it done by thursday 26th. Oh! Thursday shall be fun - I'm looking at a ton of "bones" that have been subjected to injury at some time in life. They're made by a company called BoneClone I believe and they look awesome. They basically produce a plastic - but realistic - model of bones that have been broken, shot, subjected to illness, genetic mutation etc... it will be good.

I have a week off work! Whoot! So I've been trying to get through the mad pile of stuff that need cutting/gluing/fixing/making/finishing and generally fucking around with. I need to wait until tonight before i can swipe my black acrylic back of ~Malfoymation so I can finsh one of the pile of things (well I need some fabric for that but that should be easily sorted today as well - or monday). I'm currently waiting for some glue to dry before I can smoother it all in wood filler. Once its wood filler-ed then I can paint the sods.
I've finished the basic shape of Zero's Bloody Rose, now I need to buy some sort of foam filler stuff - like expanding foam or something then I can put the handle-grips on and then cover in friendly plastic and thus paint it all and be done. As a result of working on BR though I am now covered in foam dust. XDDD And melted plastic dust. But the MicroMot is fucking awesome for cos-crafting. It would have taken me a day at the least to shape the foam attachments alone - I did it in 30 minutes! And the toy gun base was completely mangled in a good way by the MM anda cutting disc. Yay!

I also need to finish Vinny's claw and feet. The hand is half done - it just needs FP coating and painting; the arm and stuff needs actually making. I need to get my boots for Vinny before I can do the feet armour though. So thats another thing to look for today. I need to buy some red fabric now and wait for my wig to arrive to style. Cerberus is currently a "if I have time" project. I need to get everything else done first. But i have most of the materials needed at hand already anyway so if I do get a chance to make it then I shall not have to waste time getting stuff first.

My Primera-baby is still not finished either. XDDD His wig is currently being bid on (it was a pain just trying to find a suitable one to begin with!!!) and I need to buy some white tuxedo gloves or theater gloves to mangle. Styling the wig shall - hopefully - not take all that long really. The hardest bit to do with be the front hair line, but I'll just steak ~Ookamiaku's Hitsugaya-idea for that. Wooh! Yes my copy of Bleach: Shattered Blade has finally arrived. I'll have to wait until after work to give it a test run though as I need to have some energy left. XDDD. I'm kidnapping ~Malfoymation and ~Ookamiaku over here tomorrow after uni if all goes well and we'll not be seen again for hours as we play on the Wii. XDDD And by that time our arms will be dead. And probably our voices too from shouting Bankai! a lot.

I have to go to work in little under 2 hours and I am knackered!!!! Some stupid idiot rang my phone at 2.56am this morning and it woke me up. I answered it by mistake but only because I flipped the phone open and was staring at it for a while. I was trying to figure out how to end the call - bearing in mind I had just been woken up and my mind wasn't working. So whoever that was that decided to call me that bloody early needs to tell me so I can kill them. I didn't recognise the number at all either, and looking at it now I still don't recognise it. I'm tempted to call the number just to ask who the hell it is, but I'm not sure I want to. If it was important or anything then they can call back! Who calls people at that time in the morning! Especially me! I mean everyone knows that I'm asleep at that time - hell most people are!!! 3 fucking AM!!!! I can sleep through texts coming through - I slept straight through yours Matsu, only noticed it at 3am after this call but was too tired to even think about replying then. But calling!! Calling is a persistant thing that will eventually wake me up... and I'm cranky when I get woken up before I want to.

Yeah thought it was time for another journal entry. I have a fair bit to ramble about, which surprises me really as I didn't think that much had happened.

First off I am now a couple hundred out of pocket due to finally giving into temptation and buying a bloody Wii consol. XDDD I blame ~BrodyGrimmjow and ~Malfoymation... and ~Matsumoto-san. Hell I may as well go whole hog and blame ~Ookamiaku as well. XDDD Now if only Bleach: Shattered Blade would arrive and I can have some seriously tiring fun. I should make room as Emz will probably move in once that game arrives. I have to find some games for it to entertain my sister when she arrives tomorrow and discovers I have a Wii. Good job I bought a second remote and nunchuck for the Bleach game. XDD
I've been debating over buying it for a while, with the recent EXPO weekend just making me want it more, but kept putting it off due to lack of monies. But I sat down and worked out my finances for the next three months (as I have a lot of things to pay for in that time) and providing I stay as close to the £0 limit as possible I shall be alright.

Second thing I was going to ramble about is uni. I receive an email today from uni with info about my Graduation ceremony stuff. '0.0' That really seems scarey that I've nearly graduated (providing I still pass that is). My graduation date is July 6th - only four months away. Yikes!!!! I have to book my grady tickets and rent my robes and re-read all the stuff about the ceremony and order of business. Its sounds like its going to be boring as hell but really somewhat frightening at the same time. I think I'll look a complete idiot in those robes too. I have to find something smart to wear underneath and try to bloody tame my hair for photographs. ;___; Yeah that'll be a load of fun to try.

So uni is going well at least. I've just got to attend one more lab, write two essays, sit a three hour exam and go through a mock court. Oh wait! I need to also right a lab report and a scientific report: which will be used in the mock court along side or as - not entirely sure which - my statement. Oh how I am hating this whole court thing.

Vinny arrived the other day. I was jumping with glee. Wooh!!! Needs a few modifications done to it as expected and the cape needs lengthening really though it is passible as it is. Just have to make the gun, finish his claw and sort both hair and bandana. Claws are started. I have the base glove to work off and have finished shaping the bits of the fingers and thumbs just have to do the back of the hand before working on the covering layers and paint. Have to wait for more Wonderflex to arrive before I can do the rest of the arm and feet... though feet may be foam for flexibility Nots sure - its going to be trial and error I think.
My Aizen-to-kill is in the post!!!!!!!! Yeah! Should arrive in a few days I believe and then I can attempt and I mean *attempt* to make my boy out of it. Fingerscrossed I can get something half way decent out of it. I have two and a half months roughly to try anyway. Still need to carve the mask and sort the shoes and the bloody wig. That will be a challenge with its waveys nad twisty looks. Why do I pick the difficult ones?? Ah well I shall be napping through the tea party with the others after I have introduced a few Northern-end people to the wonderful taste of buttercream frosting. I have already found the perfect cake too - though it may require a mandatory taste testing first. XDDD
Oh! and I need to sort my contacts too. Keep forgetting about that.

Went to the dentist today and after a filling he did some polishing and stuff. One thing was to clean between the teeth with something resembling, and I'm not entirely sure wasn't, sandpaper. Oh yes the weekend was epic! Over too quickly but still really fun and full of randomness.

Friday was spent tidying up the last bits around the house and making the beds up for Matsu and Brody before I collected them from the station at 9pm. We had an "early" night - basically retiring as soon as we had everything settled and had sorted out the shower-battle between Matsu and Brody. Saturday morning was a surprisingly calm mass of getting ready and sorting makeup. Matsu and I ended up in a hysterical laughing fit over the advert for a basketball manga in the front of Bleach volume 24. Everytime we've looked at it since we started laughing again. We got to the EXPO in record time considering how far I had to drive, but that was probably because there was almost no traffic. While waiting around for Jeff and Ichi, aka ~Ookamiaku and ~Malfoymation, we spotted some cool cosplays including *Mesodyx who was the most awesome Reno ever, and *KellyJane who was amazing dressed as Darth Talon. We saw them again later on several times and during a food break we saw *tealpirate who was the Mokona-balancing Fai with the gorgeous fur-trimmed cloak that I wanted to steal!!
After the others arrived and we menovered ~Ookamiaku around the low ceilings and signage (there was a lot) we joined in the fray of navigating through the crowds. Luckily if one of us got seperated all we had to do was look for Jeff the Menos. ~Ookamiaku was 8 foot tall and hard to miss. XDDDD We met up with Sazi and Tousen later on in the day.
The day was spent buying random stuff and meeting lots of peopel including some people we had previously seen down London last October EXPO which was cool. I finally got to see a decent quality version of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine film trailer!!! It was released in America sometime before September I think and all I could find of it was a tiny quality mobile phone video of it online. But it looks awesome and Gambit is EPIC!!!!!!!! His card tricks and bo-staff weilding are perfect, and he seems to have the cajun charm too! XDD (Yes I am a Gambit fan) Also got to see Emma Frost and Psylocke in action briefly among others I've forgotten about... XDD was too busy hanging on for Gambit to care about the rest.
After the expo we went to Pizza Hut! Where we stuffed ourselves silly with pizza and some starters. Always a good way to go. Brody wanted some of the hellium balloons so we faked his birthday to get him soe. First they gave him a pathetically hal-blown up balloon but then later returned with two hellium ones. Then we had to say goodbye to Tousen and Sazi as they had to get a train home. The rest of us all then piled into my car and retired to my house for some Wii gaming. Mario carts was briefly played before swapping over to Bleach: Shattered Blade - which we all exhausted ourselves on. It didn't help much when the hellium was added to the mix and we were calling Bankai in super high pitched voices while making the dodgey actions with the Wii Nunchuks to get our characters to actually do their Bankais... the sound effects didn't help either. The night was random and fun. I dropped ~Ookamiaku and ~Malfoymation off home and eventually brody, Matsu and I went to bed somewhere after 1am. Good thing we didn't need to get up that early the next day. Sunday was sad - we had to part ways and Matsu and Brody headed home - Brody was still carting his left over pizza from saturday night with him to serve as breakfast and lunch.... why I don't know. XDDD

Today seemed really weird. My room feels empty without Matsu's bed taking up all the space XDD. Uni was boring!!!!!!!!! and I only got home at 9.40pm because I had a late lab session. I have to suffer through 7 and a half hours at work tomorrow as well and I know I'm going to hate it. Wooh yeah its the weekend (well pretty much anyway XDD) and I'm just doing the last tidying up around the house. I'm collecting Matsu and Brody from the train station tonight and then we're attacking wigs back at my house. Tomorrow there will be a battle for the shower first thing, followed by Matsu battling the eyelashes again. XDD I have the easiest cosplay to get ready in and then Brody's is next. Poor Matsu will take the longest. I need to track down Malfoymation and/or Ookamiaku to find out where we're meeting them... and Ookamiaku shall be easy to spot in the crowd.
Midlands expo!!!! Wooh! I shall post up any pictures and video I take, and Matsu shall be armed with a camera as well... I do believe malfoymation and ookamiaku will also have a cam-corder with them. SO there should be some good stuff. Though people are going to be staring at us while I'm driving again... and it'll be Brody's fault. XDD
And I get the weekend off work too so thats an added bonus!

I've not really been up to much lately - at least in variety terms, as I have been either at work, at uni, or sat in front of my computer. XDD Life never changes! Except for the random day out to buy something.

And Fighting-Fox has just started a random random convo on MSN... yes I was looking into buying radioactive cookies without the implied comments about cream, Tousen's fragrance and turtles falling over...... in two parallel conversations and its only 9.40 am. I just got up like 20 minutes ago. Yup today is going to be strange

Woohoo! Snow is everywhere!!

I am essentially snowwed in - which has only happened like once in my life. We never get this much snow. XDDDD I want to go out side and act like a kid. I have been told by my friend's mum that if is snows like this then I should come over to take their youngest outside to play - as none of them want to go outside and get all wet and cold. Shame I can actually get out of my drive as the road is virtually impassible under the snow and ice. XDDD

Which also means I'm stuck at home - I'm not going to uni today as the weather is too bad for me to drive 26 miles safely... that and I can't even get a mile because of my road. I had planned to take Evyn out this morning for a photoshoot in the snow... but I can't get to where I wanted. I may attempt an indoor shoot by the window but the lighting is a bit naff and my camera is a bad for lighting really. Ah well

(My update from Friday has gone!!!! Damn!!! How did that happen?)

Yus it is snowing. I am so hyper over that fact. From about 2pm I have been bouncing around... somewhat annoying the people I work with by bouncing. XDDD And that was only over a few flakes. Now it is snowing more heavily. Thank you Russia for giving us your snow!!! The Siberian front heading to the UK is great! (In my opinion at least). If it is really heavy snow tomorrow then I won't be going into uni as the weather is supposedly turning even worse (better!!!!) tomorrow night and uni finishes late tomorrow so travelling home will be bad. Luckily I have the basic class notes already and can catch up off Sarah next week. If I don't go into uni then I may nip to the Paperhouse for some soft chalk pastels and browse the liquid acrylic. As well as brushes. Mine are all far to big.

Please forgive the randomness of this entry and any areas that make absolutely no sense... I have been up since 6 bloody AM this morning because I was called into work early to help fill the fridges because a) the sunday dairy crew is crap and b) one of them phoned in ill the night before. So I got hauled over to an area I'm not trained in. XDD So my shift was extended to 8 and a half hours.... with a hyper last two hours due to the snow.

I am currently shopping for Evyn. He needs some nice boots and something new to wear. Maybe some sort of snow-type gear. I may - if I wake up in time - take Evyn out for a shoot in the snow tomorrow if we get a good covering. Wish I had a decent camera so I could swap the aperture and shutter speed settings but alas my digi-cam can not do that. All automated settings. Damn. I need to get money so I can buy a decent camera - something like a cannon D20 or an E series ( I think that was their names... I was drooling in the shop over them all). I want to catch the big flakes is "dead-speed" (aka what my friends and I refer to as basically a freeze frame) and to over expose it a tad to make it glow prettily.
I also need to restring Evyn. He won't sit correctly and I think the stringing is too tight between the legs and back. That is going to be an experience to try. I've ordered some neck "doughnuts" to aid with the process as that S-hook is killing my fingers ;__; the elastic is quite tight. Anyway. I may also get Evyn some new eyes. He's already getting a second head and I'm going to attempt a face up... a very basic face up. I need to buy some sort of clear sealant. I want to buy the Mr. Super Clear and Mr. Thinner off Volks but alas I have no credit card with which to pay with. If any one knows where else I can get it, or a very good replacement product then please let me know.


I finally finished the Shoebox compilment that Malfoymation linked me to on friday morning. It is sooooooo good and really amusing. Its about hte Maurauders from Harry Potter world, when they were at school. SO totally random stuff in there. Including sweaters, photographs, notes passed in class and general randomness. It took me a while to get through it all because I had to read it around work and uni, which was very little spare time.

Following finishing Shoebox I now find that I have more free time and quickly became bored as I couldn't think of anything to do! So I gave in to curiousity and started to look for a new anime to watch. I know some people who have watched Code Geass and liked it... so I watched it.. and am still watching it. I'm on episode 19 now. Its quite catchy. Very cheesy and weird in places but not bad. It has too many parallels to Gundam Wing and Gundam Seed for me to love outright - being a Gundam fan I shall always compare other mecha anime to it and find something odd. XDD. But I shall admit that so far I like Prince Schneizer de Brittania. Yes I do. XDD


Just been told by my mother that the weather centers have forcast tomorrow as being very bad weather, so I doubt I'll be going into uni. I'll have to email my lecturer in a bit to tell her.
I also need to arrange things iwth my crime scene group as we have our third and final (not to mention assessed) crime scene on friday. This is going to be hell. We go all the way through scene examination, evidence collection, to the labs for evidence processing and then finally onto a mock court. I am going to kill myself over the court thing. Just finished watching the new Ressy-eve film. Its quite good - better than I thought it would be. Something I find highly amusing is the fact that the CG on the men is way better than the CG on the women....

**some spoilers**
The graphics are amazing. The fire at Angela's brother's (Dr. Curtis Miller) house was surprisingly life-like, which is something that CG usually fails to get done correctly. A fair amount of the film plot was a little sketchy... but it pulls along in the end. The lip sync between CG characters and the voice actors is off at times which ends up being somewhat funny.

The sparking thing between Leon and Angela is... annoying me. Its seriously over done in places. Is it just me or is Claire extra useless in the film compared the game. In the game she moaned less and saw more action... the movie has her running away and playing with a computer for a bit. Leon was all secret government agent... a little from the norm.

The blooper reel. Everyone should watch it!!! It is an absolute piss take by the voice actors and editors. I love it! Especially the first one about "Clair flare" and the one about pay rates. Leon bithcing Greg out about his "women" is funny.
The faux Leon interview was kinda funny. Totally over the top but funny. XDDD

And I decided I'd give the new English dub of Initial D a go... the title theme is BAD. In general the music playing through out doesn't mathc it like the original Japanese soundtrack does. I haven't even gotten five minutes in to it yet. The voices.... well they really don't match... I'm about ready to cry over that alone... So far all I've heard is the Gas Station guys voice, Takumi and Iggy's voices. I didn't want to hear KT and Ry's voices in English after that so its now in Japanese again. XDDD. Much better for music and voices.

Ok so I finally finally found my cutting mat... a month after losing it. Um yeah. It was in my room - just as I thought it was. Only it was stack on its side in between the wardrobe and the pile of stuff on the floor and I somehow over looked it. Still can't find my Merlin DVD, Vampire Knight mangas and whatever else I had lost... and now I've lost one of my thick books on HTML and CSS coding... though my sister *may* have pinched that. Or my dad. I need to check with them. I'm missing stuff that I can't remember now. I just know something else is missing.
I can't find the payment table for my uni grants.... I'm not entirely sure I was given one this year and I don't know if I can request another one... I need to see.

I had intended yesterday and today to be a sort of "sort out day" but I ended up working instead, though I have just done some sorting through things - and found my missing cutting mat. Yes!!!
I, ah, kinda forgot I was working yesterday until work called and left a message on my mobile. I was supposed to start at 10am.... but they didn't realize I was missing until 11.30 (and I had literally just gotten out of bed then ) so instead of the 10-1.30pm shift I did 12-3.15pm. Today I had the 1-4pm shift that ended at 4.15 instead because the two guys on the tills kept buggering off somewhere and that left the tills with too many customers for me to leave. That annoyed me sooooo much. And another thing - why are so many of the new and fairly crappy staff suddenly walking around with all these "thank you" badges?? What the f*** did they do to earn them?? Out of the older crew (the ones who have been there ages) I think only one has been given a "thank you" badge. It really takes the piss. It’s the older crew - and yes I am counting myself in there after being there for six bloody years!!! - who put in all the hard work and actually *do* their jobs while the new crew get thanked for just turning up to work.

I need to start hunting for a good job soon as I graduate in.... four months. Scary. I shall be very very happy to pass uni, I am not going to get my hopes up for a 1st (as I know I won't get one) but I really really want to pass. So job hunting... and this really is a bad time for job hunting with the economy on the decline.... Yeah. I am looking into "proper" jobs to use my degree for and normal jobs that I want to do as I would be happy in either really. Yeah I really do need a new job. After six years of working for the same place and dealing with crapy things I'm just sick of the place really.
Uni so far this semester is really good. I have 'war of terror explained' which is a bit dry and rubbish really but the other two modules are great. TEREFF is really good and deals with terrorism, firearms, fires, explosive, chemical/biological/nuclear warfare, assassinations, disasters etc. And Human ID is all about the examination of human remains and we get to do case studies, hands on experiments, reports and John mentined something about taking us places for things. All very good!!!! So hopefully I shall get a good grade. XDD

I also need to really get off my arse and start on the list of things to do. I am waiting for the Wonderflex I ordered with Izzy to arrive so that limits some of the things on the list. I still have about 15 other things to do though. I need to get around to buying an external harddrive to back up and transfer a chunk of my PC onto. Faster running and more space. XDDD
I have things to make and sort out and rearrange. I also have to tidy my room up properly - especially as Matsu is coming up again... need a space for her and co. XDDD

Yup - my first journal entry of 2009. Its gonna take me a while to remember to write 2009 now and not 2008... so sorry if I cause any confusion from that. XDDD

Well my Christmas was nice. It was quiet and just the family watching TV really - which we don't really do much together. I rarely watch TV; instead I stay on my computer every Waking hour I'm at home doing... stuff. Still haven't recieved all of my XMas pressies yet apparently. I have been told that i have more coming and I know my oldest brother has yet to pass on what he got me, but his eldest child has come down with some sort of viral infection and so can't really travel at the moment... Hopefully Marc will recover soon.

Still. Christmas was nice and lazy. I bought my parents a DVD player and we ended up wathcing a bit of Eddie Izzard among other things. My sister and I watched Step Up (which was expectantly cheesy and rubbish) and Iron Man as well as Prince Caspian. XDDDD.
Speaking of Narnia there - Disney have dropped the movie series!!! WHY!!!! But other companies are looking into taking up the Helm for Voyage of the Dawn Treader so fingers crossed that'll pull through. So presents. I got some new slippers that are those boot-type ones and sooooo fluffily comfortable I forget that I'm wearing them, and a scarf. Matsu got me this really really nice hanging scroll decorated with flowers. Its currently hanging on a handle of my chest of drawes until I clear the hooks on the wall of stuff. A new hoodie off my (pregnant)middle sister and gift vouchers for HMV off oldest sister, um Iron Man was off the younger of my older brothers.... (I'm the youngest so they're all "older" sibblings...) Um... Oh! I got a Saun the Sheep toy. It bleets when you squeeze his nose and vibrates when you pull his tail and I love it!!!! Lol. It was amusing. XDD I can't remember my other presents... '0.0' erm... they were good though and I know I got a white chocolate orange. mmm yummy. That lasted two hours (and only because XMas lunch was in the middle of it)

In between Christmas and New Years was strangely erm...strange. It didn't feel real yet it was. I saw my Yotan working away while ill bless her. Hope you're feeling better now!!!! She let my sister and I see Twilight for free as well so I shall love her properly next time I see her. XDD. And Matsu is still ill she tells me... only with something different to what I gave her when she stayed over. Get well soon!!!!! New Years was spent at my youngest-older sister's (confusing I know) flat. Oh god. New Years eve house party in Manchester was extremely mental. They had Guitar Hero World tour on the Wii and the first song they played that I knew was La Bamba. 35+ people singing, guitaring and drumming to La Bamba at 10.40 something at night while half of them were verging on drunkedness and the other half just weird to begin with... it was amusing and mentally scarring at hte same time. I wish I had taken my camera just to get that on video. I think I scarred Matsu too. I rang her at midnight and couldn't actually hear anything as the party was so loud so I think I shouted at her a bit by mistake. Sorry Matsu!!!! XDDD After that I had a few goes at Guitar Hero myself, mostly on Bass Guitar and few tries on Lead. Might I add I have never played Guitar Hero before - other that the DS version which is a different control system to begin with, so this was difficult. It didn't help that I was a lefty and so the control's were the wrong way around half the time. I can just about play it right handed but I'm better in Lefty Flip - not that I was much good anyway. No one wanted to play Linkin Park's "What 've done" track. That's the one song I actually knew the most of but no one would play it. The stuck to Oasis, The Killers and a random selection of old school stuff inlcuding "Eye of the Tiger" and "Beat it". I sung along to "Eye of the Tiger" while remembering the torture I endured to that song in PE years ago. I got soooooo sick of that stupid running-dance-thing we had to do to it. It was pointless too!!! Anyway. We retired to bed at somewhere around 3am.

And the next day started at 11 ish and the day spent watching TV and Transformers movie on DVD. I went to bed that night at 1am the next morning. XDDD And I had to get up at 8 something in order be ready in time to catch my train home. That was a boring train ride!!! lol. That was yesterday. I just crashed infront of my PC for the rest of the day after that. I had to get up early this morning in order to go to work at 9am. *dies*

I finally got around to posting those pictures of the sword I used in my Ukitake cosplay. My Sougyo No Kotowari is so pretty :333 I love it. [link] The colours are a little out for the gold paint but thats partially from my crap camera bothing the light and partially because I should have added a different paint base on the handle and tsuba area. *shrigs* it worked out well though.

Speaking of Ukitake, it was his birthday yesterday (also winter's solstice) and I found it ironic that I ended up falling ill on it. I suffered through most of work with a killer headache, back and general muscle ache, sore/slighty swollen throat and tiredness until I ended up going home at quater to three because the headache reached blinding levels. I rarely get headaches!!!! And pain medication does nothing!!!! Woke up today not feeling much better either. The cold and flu stuff I took today has taken a bit of the edge of everything but unfortunately I've started to go anaemic again. Really sucky timing. Especially as I have a 9 hour long shift at work tomorrow that will kill me from the length alone, never mind that its going to be havoc as everyone does their XMas food shop. Depending on how I feel tomorrow will depend on how much of my shift I last.
I still haven't gotten out of working New Years Eve yet. Though I'm hoping to talk my way out of it tomorrow - or at least swap it around. I'd even do the opening shift - which I refuse to do normally might I add - if it means I can get out of the bloody closing shift!!. I need to see who's working when. Its bad enough they have me working XMas eve last thing as well. They can get lost if I have to work New Years eve as well. Thats really not fair!!! Plus they haven;t actually given me my work schedule yet. I only know I'm working because I had to check the main board for times. So its really really late notice on scheduling for me. Another arguement in my favour there. They had better give it me off because I so bloody rarely have a problem with my work hours (other than not having enough sometimes) and I work every sunday - full day shift too (except maybe three a year which are usually when I have EXPOs to attend). I don't have holidays often at all. Hell I'm rarely off ill either!!!! They owe me! I've been there for over five years so its time they give me something for bloody loyalty... They soooooo owe me. Plus right now I;m feeling too shitty from being ill to take any rubbish from them. I feel... predatory. XDDD

It really does not feel like its nearly christmas. Seriously, its only five days away but still doesn't feel anything more than normal. I'm not really a christmas-y person. Yes I do the whole gift-exchange thing and cards but I don't really do anything special just for it.
I hate work at the moment and the closer to christmas it gets the more I hate working because customers get ruder and noiser everyday. Season of goodwill and all that and yet the customers are so pissy. Not to mention that work have scheduled me in to work last thing New Years eve (which will be boring enough as deli won't be needed.... and yet still be open) when I'm supposed to be going up to my sister's place sometime after midday. >.<# So I'm trying to swap shifts with someone else but because its three and a quater hour long shift its difficult to find other people with the same length shift to swap. Pain in the arse!!!! Hopefully I can get Nikki at work to swap with me when I see her tomorrow as she has a 3.25 hour shift on NY eve morning which I could do and still have time to get to my sister's. My boss was not allowing for holidays in december as its a busy season so I couldn't even book it off work. Damn it!!!!

I'm trying to get ahead of things for next year and have already started on making various things. Can't do much as I need to buy materials etc and I need both money and time for it... currently lacking in both. But I finally found some of that craft foam (thanks to =ShadowChan for making me go back to WHSmiths for that) and am messing around to see how well it works for things. I have a few XMas cards left to make first and then I'm seriously sitting down to play with foam.... XDDDD The pink foam sheets will die first - they are my test guinee pigs and so shall be butchered. lol. No I don't like pink. I;m trying to find a small plain (fake or plated) gold bar thats about 2 inches long and about 3mm wide (rectangular preferably) but I can't find one!!!! I'm still searching though. Hopefully will find one soon.
I just realised I still haven't posted any photos of my shikai!!! Whoops! I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get better lighting for photos now. I spent ages on that sword and its bloody tsuba detail. Why does Ukitake have two different designs on his tsuba when everyone else has one???? I only mangled the balsa wood a little bit but that was easily fixed thankfully. Though carting it around at the london expo somehow resulted in the scabbard having its paint scrapped off at one section - what the hell did that??? Seriously it had about five layers of clear laquer to protect the paint in it!!! I'll get around to posting up the tsuba designs for any one who wants them when I finish the "tidy" plan of them.

So I went to give blood yesterday and I got given an award as it was my tenth donation (which for me was lucky because my blood iron levels are all over the place at times). The intial finger prick test for blood iron levels failed!!! The blood has to sink within 30 seconds (I think 30 seconds) and mine sunk after the timer went off so I have to have blood drawn from my right inside elbow by a needle. That didn't really hurt as it was a thin needle. For women their blood iron levels has to be over 112 I think it was and mine ended up being miles over at 134 so I was fine to donate. So I then had a bigger needle shoved into my left inside elbow for the actual donation. So I left the place with a plaster on my right middle finger and two huge plasters on my arms..... That was somewhat amusing (and not the first time I've had that happen) as was the fact that each time I was stabbed with a needle the needle size got bigger. XDDD SO yeah I got my bronze award badge + certificate and should be getting my new card soon. The rest of the day after that was spent with my arms feeling weird everytime I bent them. I took the plasters all off when I got home as they just annoyed me. But dear lord those bid white plasters HURT to take off!!! Doesn't help that the skin on the inside arm is sensitive. I had red squarish shapes around the puncture sites from them that looked really weird. But other than the slight weird feeling when bending my arms yesterday I'm fine today. No bruising or anything. XDDD

Ok so I still haven't found my Merlin DVD, or my Vampire Knight mangas.... and now I can't find my cutting mat.... and something else I forgot.... Um yeah. XDDD

So I'm having to do the dead tricky cutting with the guiloteen, or however the fuck you spell it, and scissors. Not easy. I'm having a bit of fun with my embossing gun. XDDD Just seeing what effects I can get, though I really want to buy rainbow powder (if they sell it) to make something really wacky.

I coloured another piece of lineart (here [link]) as practise more than anything, but it came out fairly well. I still need to come a long long long long way until I can be considered "good" - I'd say I'm currently at "passable", seeing as you can tell what everything is etc.

I don't really expect to do anything much tomorrow as I have an opticians appointment and then am giving blood. Joy. Hoping to find somewhere that sells those craft foam sheets - you know the ones that kiddies have in their little arts and crafts sections. Only no where so far sells them!!!!! I'm gonna try the more expensive craft shop near me tomorrow before giving blood so fingers crossed that they sell it.


My brother came over yesterday and stayed the night... and demolished my entire cook of cheese puff fingers (even if they were made because he was coming up). I have three left, which I;m eating now... though the cat stole half of one. ;_; nearly lost a finger to that as well. She maybe nearly 17 years old and not all there but her claws and teeth are still bloody sharp when food is concerned. Plus she's an eternal kitten. Still chases her tail and bits of string... mad. So yeah I have no cheese puff fingers left really. I made them myself - one of the very very limited range of things I can make!!!! But fear not! I have pleanty of Tiffin and Hedgehog cake to lasta week or so until I make more CPFs for when my sister visits for XMas next week.

So now i'm gonna go back to hunting for my craft cutting mat. Damn thing!!!

Yes. I just had a totaly freak out over my white chocolate orange going missing from my desk. I search over half the room... before recalling that I had finished it. *cough*
So to console myself I broke out the mint matchmakers. Yummy. It looked so close to snowing the other day - and it didn't. It started sleeting a bit and then just rained lightly then vanished. I want snow!!!!! :snowballs:

Things have turned really quiet around here. Everyones so busy and stuff and I'm now on XMas break from uni, so I'm working more than usual. Timing sucks to see people... that and I have little money to do anything. But I feel as if I'm being left out of the loop a lot too, which is really annoying and some what depressing when no one lets me know about things that I should know or am involved in. I'm trying to figure out what needs sorting for when and what to use where and its a lot easier to do so when I get told things related to it. I get told through people who heard it off other people so I can't even guarantee that its the most recent decision etc. There are some things I'm really tempted to just cancel out of because I'm not being told enough to be able to get everything sorted in time. Though the main things I want to do I'll be doing and damn what everyone else thinks of it. Seriously. I really beginning to not care anymore and just go my own way on it regardless of any other plans being made that I've not been told about yet.

I have to get squashed up town on friday for an opticians appointment and then go give blood after it. Yeah the town center shall be packed with shoppers, joy of joys. My christmas shopping this year has been tiny. Other than family there are only a very very very small amount of people I've getting anything for. I'm not really a christmas person - its just another time of year for me, though the TV sometimes turns out to be better quality around this time of year as long as I avoid anything related to soaps and reality TV shows.

And my car is leaking again!!!! We thought we had fixed the problem by replacing the rear screen washer tubing and that seemed to be working... but I noticed today that my car was retaining a lot of water inside it in the form of condensation - and taking ages to clear. Which also meant it took ages to de-ice enough to be drivable (inside wise - out side was sorted with the ice scrapper). Checked out my boot again to find on corner wet. Am not happy. Cold weather also means it doesn't dry out very much even when I left it open for a couple of hours with the carpet up to try and dry it. So my dad and I need to find the leak... after he fixes the landrover. It suddenly wouldn't start yesterday and still hasn't started since. My parents need it tomorrow so it needs to start. My dad spent all day on it changing the spark plugs and the alternaters and a ton of other things I have no idea what they do.... but so far ziltch. My parents went to collect some new HT cables (or something like) as thats pretty much the only other thing it could be so fingers crossed that will work.

Christmas week is going to be exhausting. I have christmas day and boxing day off and that is it.I'm working sunday through to sunday - along with extra six hours over time on the saturday. We've not been given our new year's schedules yet and they won't be given out until EVERYONE has collected their christmas schedules. Joys. I know I'm working new year's eve, but shouldn't be scheduled for new year's day. I'm supposed to be visiting my sister for new years shopping up manchester and stuff. I need to see if someone is willing to swap their shift with me. I'm on deli for the late shift... so chances of some one swapping are small. Especially when the supervisers won't give us our schedules early enough!!!!!!!!!

Hahah - just clicked the wrong button and nearly posted this journal entry as a deviation.

I bought some candy cane the other day - two different flavours and am currently sucking on a Tutti Fruity flavoured cane. The box lies!!!!!!!! This does not taste of tutti fruity!!! or anything much other than the sugary stuff its made from. Though the cane has died my tongue, lips and my teeth blue.... hopefully that will wear of before tomorrow or I'l be in trouble at work. I'll have to try the tropical flavour now to see if that too is a lie. The candy cane I bought at Warwick castle were sooooooo nice, even though the cola flavour one was slightly spicey towards the end of it (like the aftertaste of cinnamon). So these new boxes of candy cane from the shopping center near me are disappointing. ;_;. Oh well I have over 1KG of chocolate and treats to eat. XDDD Three white Terry's Chocolate Orange snowballs to eat after finally tracking them down. Yes I am supposed to be saving my money and no I can't really afford to spend it but!!!! It was on sale. *cough* yeah so I have food that my brother and sister are going to devour when they visit soon if I don't eat it first. XDDD

I had a voucher for Blockbuster and so rented six DVDs for dirt cheap. I watched Batman: Dark Knight, Hancock, Indiana Jones 4, the Mummy 3, the Forbidden Kingdom, and Hellboy 2 one after another solid. That was thursday's entertainment and thus why I failed to finish my fully coloured entry to the POP4 contest on time. Had I spend a couple of hours on thursday on my drawing then I would have finished it yesterday before the deadline. I finsihed it this morning, and because I had passed the deadline it meant I could spend even more time on the detials. I have to say I really really love how well the sword and guantlet came out. I love that sword!!!!! The rest of it came out better than I hoped (though the eyes were messed up damn it!!!) but it still needs improving. Considering how rubbish I am at colouring anyway I think this piece came out really well. Just need to practice more.
And speacking of PoP4 I haven't played it since... wednesday. Damn. I finally butchered the Alchemist and had to go through a really dizzying but completely fun platform jump-and-run sequence to get off the collapsing battle ground after it. I earn another three tropheys - including the "Initiative" trophey for throwing the alchemist through the two stone pillars on his second to last battle. XDDD That was fun to do and watch. I'm currently hunting the Hunter. Oh irony, but still he's more of a challenge than the Alchemist. The Alchemist moves so slowly!!!!!! The hunter is nice and fast moving so he's a better fighter. Unfortunately he can also knock Elika unconscious. So I have to time my two-people-combos for when he's not glowing bluey-green. I was one move short of winning the "Combo master" trophey!!! I had fourteen moves and then Elika got smack out on her move. I needed 15 moves!!!! Still the fertile grounds are getting more dynamic in the Hunter's area so makes longer acrobatic and more complicated squences to follow. Still really fun to do though.

New Bleach Movie was aired today - Fade to Black - and hopefully I can get a hold of it soon. From what Matsu told me of the story line is sounds good and from what I've seen of it in trailers and advertising, it looks good too. And Ukitake gets to fight!!!! XDDD He's so rarely in on the action. In DDR he and Unohana were the only two captains to sit out the fighting completely. Unohana sits out the fighting most of the time anyway. Kyouraku fought!!! But Ukitake didn't. He's one of the most powerful captains (and one of the oldest) and yet he gets coddled by the others especially Kyouraku. XDDDD

I've broken up from Uni for the XMas hols!!! Yay! I don't go back until the um... 5/6th of January and thats for an exam on the 7th (have to hand in work a day before it....). Classes start on the 12th and I start at 3pm. XDDD
But unfortunately that means I have to work more as I really need more money. I had to put my plans for buying MO3 off for now as I don't have enough money for that as well (even on layaway) but I may try again starting in the new year. Maybe.

Why do I always find out about these things when its too late/very short notice???? [link] a really good competition that I really want to enter... and it ends in two days. --; No way can I make anything good enough to be considered in two days (or at all really but more time means more effort).


Still I am doing some thing - though whether it gets finished or not is up to fate and my motivation. I have that trailer with the song "breath me" by Sia playing in the background on constant repeat in an effort to motivate me further. Though I doubt I'm gonna get far when I have to go to work in... three hours time. This sucks!!!!! But at least today was my last day in uni for the year. In January I'm back with different modules at different times, though still the same days (and the addition of mondays). Unfortunately I have to work for money and therefore have fuck all time (or money at the moment) to do any thing much.

Ok so my initial response (after playing for five hours straight... lost track of time XDDD) is Wow!!! Its amazing. I love the ability to wall-run around corners and along the ceiling. XDD This prince is flexible and acrobatic. And he looks good with his scarf/hood type thing (his "lucky scarf" lol) down - see the artists work for that as so far he's kept the scarf on.
One thing I love about the Prince of Persia games is how you have to think of how you'll get somewhere. I seem to have a natural ability to just keep running and instinctively knowing where to jump to. And I've gotten quite good at getting those hard to reach light seeds. Some of them are in weird weird places.

Elika... passes. I actually like her. The snarky comments between her and the prince are brilliant - and not in the way that the other PoPs amused me (that was because I hated the girl and loved the prince's bitchiness to her). They play "I spy"... which was funny and continues to be funny everytime he brings it up. While I don't get why the prince has to carry her along vines and stuff when she can travel the wall runs and roof crawls perfectly fine she is useful and provides entertaining conversations (esepcially love her saying "Should I be worried about this relationship with your donkey?"). So yes *tenshi-rising you were correct in saying Elika would surprise me. As I generally end up hating practically every female video game character (even Lara Croft gets on my nerves on occation - despite me liking Tomb Raider games) because they're either whiney or they're too good at everything and enjoy rubbing it into the men's faces (which is a weird point to annoy me as I'm all for women and men being totally equal....).

AND I have to add - I love you Ubisoft!!!!!! Whoever the genius behind naming the prince's missing (and gold ladden) donkey 'Farah' has my eturnal adoration. I had to put the game on pause after that revelation because I laughed myself *out* of my chair - literally. Divine retribution for Farah being such an annoying bitch.

I've just fought the Alchemist (one of the currupted) for something like the fourth time!!!! Die damn you! As soon as his life is just about to snuff it he buggers off and I have to fight him at full strength later (like I do with the Warrior). The concubine was annoying too. But the alchemist kept grabbing my sword!!! That annoyed me. My finger really started to go painfully numb after that from repeatedly tapping the square button. Its bad enough I have to stub my fingers tapping triangle to get Elika to heal those fertile grounds. But no pain, no gain I suppose. As long as I don't give my self thumb blisters (I did that playing Tekkan 3 in the hardest level all night) or any blisters for that matter, I'll be ok. Shall play more when I get home from handing my uni coursework in - and may even work up another sugar rush (I did that last night right before having to do that really long power wall run thing with Elika in the blue temple realm thingy which just added to the rush). I need to get a bigger and better TV to better enjoy the game but alas I am practically broke still. (even though I shelled out for this game...XDD)

Yes I finished the last bit of my uni coursework for the first half of the year!!! I just have to hand it in on Monday and attend a group meeting sometime on wednesday and its sorted!!!! *happydance*

And my special edition of Prince of Persia arrived and because I've finished my coursework I can play it now!!!!!!!!!! Though I'll start it tomorrow as I don't have the concentration for anything more complicated than eating and doing fuck all. The box it comes in is so pretty in black and blue shiney, which matches my PoP4 wallpaper for my PC (yes but I love the design so XP ). I may change my wallpaper to one of the ones I get on the bonus disc - either the sketchy Prince one or the sketchy Corrupted one.... not sure which yet. I can't wait to see how long it'll take for Elika to annoy me... probably the first two seconds if she follows suit of the other PoP females (though Farah is going to be tought to beat)

Those essays killed my brain. I streched them to over 3000 each - victory!!! I thought I may have to leave it at somewhere around 2800 words but I got it over. AND!!!!!! I managed to wiggle in Jack the Ripper. XDDD Anthropological essays are mostly bones and stuff so getting JtR in one of them was a nice little snark off me to the lecturer for being so crap and another victory for my pride at being able to logically argue its place in the essay. XDD Oh yeah I rock! God I had to watch so many videos, read thick dry books, scoure boring websites and work what little useable information from them I could extract into two 3000 word essays. In less then... *insert very quick maths* fourteen hours!!!! Oh yeah. The research took the most time, especially between crashinginternet connections and trying to decipher "scientific" speech which alll makes little sense.

Oh my music has just clicked into a totally perfect sing for how I feel now. XDDD KMFDM with 'Godlike'.

So my plans for tomorrow are go to work (unfortunately) then come home and lose the rest of the day (and half the night) in playing PoP4. Shame I have to get up early monday to hand in my coursework at uni and return library books. But after that initial trip, monday (which ironically is when Dark Knight is out on DVD) will be spent in a mass of gaming, DVDing and generally lazing about in celebration. *sighs happily* My life is so fullfilling right now. XDDD

And just so you get the point: I hate essays! Especially anthropology essays!

Its partly (and mostly) my own fault for leaving it so late and partly the stupid annoying lecturer who taught us fuck all to do with the subject. The first seven weeks of the course (which is only 12 weeks long might I add) was devoted to off topic stuff with the occational dive into anthropology. I have two 3,000 word essays to finish by Monday. Which is great when only five on the huge list of recommended books are actually availible in the uni library and one in outside libraries. Not to mention that everyone on the course is after the same books!!! So yeah I haven;t had chance to get them. I have other books though and the internet + lexis to depend on thankfully. The essay questions themselves are useless!!!! Out of the 14 availible questions to chose from I understand three of them. The lecturer is crap. Totally crap. I learnt very little other than he has a fixation on bones. Yes I know forensic anthropology involves bones a lot - they facinate me too. But he didn't actually teach us anything about bones other than we have them... -.-; His voice is annoying too so you automatically start to tune him out within the first two minutes of the lecture. He talks all the way through the seminar videos about stuff that is either not related or exactly what the video just said. Annoying!!!!!
I had told myself to be good this year and get at least one essay done really early so that a. I had the books and b. it was done! But as usual that went completely to pot.
So yeah two essays to write. Not going well. One is just stretching to 1000 words and the other is lagging at 250 words. ;___;
The one at 1000 words is the easier question to do, with half the question on forensics in general and the other on anthropolgy in forensic application. The other essay is about the "disciplines of socio-cultural anthropology" and my brain has just died on the first 250 words. I hate it. I have about three days (roughly) to finish the fuckers in and I know I'm going to be lacking sleep. I wanted to finish/nearly finish at least one today. Not going to happen. I've just hit writers block. Damn it all!!!!!!!!!

The other question that I actually understood the meaning of involves comparing forensic anthropology and socio-cultural anthropology in the contect of methodological and theoretical applications. Which I doubt I can stretch to 3000 words. I may try though if I can't get this "disciplines" question to work.
If I could get away with it I'd kill the lecturer (and have lots of support doing so) and forget about the essays. I've spent the morning finshing off as much as I could with my group reports (which will be finished today and next week by others of the group) and that is not something I like to do when I first get up in the morning. Especially on my fucking day off. But once all this is done I don't have any more uni work to do until january technically. I found out yesterday that for my Advanced DNA exam in january I have to evaluate a shit load of DNA data before hand to take into the exam with me. I can't evaluate DNA data very well.

To make it all worse!!!! I've not had any snow yet. I keep reading news reports about schools and stuff being closed as "most of the UK hit by heavy snow"... where's my snow!!!! No snow here. Though yesterday was fun driving. My road was iced over and made fun swerves while driving up it. XDDDD It was like drifting really slowly. *cough* I'm not psycho really. Just love sliding and wishing I could drift-drive in real life.

So I'm off to go commit educational suicide.... if that exists. I'll be up until late and then have to start early tomorrow to pull another all-day essay-writing death. I am going to be so under-rested by monday. *shoots myself*

The fog is both annoying me and amusing me... I love fog... just hate driving in it!!! And the freezing cold temperatures are not helping much.

I thought I'd make the most of yesterday and go to Birmingham for a bit of retail therapy (and use the discounts my sister sent me for various shops XDD). I had recieved an email sometime around thursday containing a discount to warwick castle too and thought that I'd take advantage of the foggy weather to get some really nice photos of the castle looming out of hte fog... but hte fog didn't settle around the castle or warwick in general very closely. But I still got some really nice shots and explored everywhere I could think of. I went to the birds of prey mews (which unfortunately was mostly roped off, but I could still see from a short distance) and saw a Golden Eagle. I didn't realise they were so big!!! Seriously this one would have been head height if it perched on my lap!! Massive! Especially so when compared to the smaller birds of prey the mews had. they were tiny in comparison!!!!

Today is the first time I've been to work in over a week!!! I had last weekend off because Matsu came up for a visit (and an epic weekend that was, even though I came down ill and made Matsu ill too. sorry matsu!!!) and then the rest of the week I was forced to take off because I was too ill. I still had to drag myself to uni though - but on Thursday I gave up half way through my time there as I felt far too rough to stay. On the upside I nearly ran over one of my work supervisers... as a joke sort of thing - not seriously wantingto kill her (though we all do!!! *cough* not literally). That was amusing and made me cheer up despite being too ill.

I am so cold right now!!!!! Bloody heating isn't doing much and so my hands have frozen but I'll survive. My alarm clock is telling me that the room temperature is 14.5 degres 'c. Yay... only one degree up from when I woke up 11 hours ago.

Mirror's edge was a bit of a let down. The concept is so good and the ability to go anywhere and use any practically any surface was good but the character - Kate - was annoying me... the snipey comments from Merc was amusing at times and Celestial also annoyed me. I only got half way through the game before giving up because it was annoying me too much to keep going so I took it back to the rental shop. I hated the bit where I had to take out the SWAT guys after busting a silent alarm in the ex-wrestler's place. Three well armed SWAT guys (and a fucking gun-totting helicopter) vs. 1 unarmed runner... yeah that works so in my favour. The controls didn't do as much as I told them to do but were over-sensitive on everything else. Yes because it really helps when I want to wall run and Kate flips to land on her back half way through. And the time-slowing/slow-mo buttom did my head in!!! But I got a trophy in pacifism in one mission which made me laugh. I didn't attack anyone at all. Yet the next mission ironically threw me at too many to *not* hit... I got a trophy for something about creative thinking... which was the mission where I threw at least five people off the buildings and used another as a gun sheild... but Im not sure if that was what earned the throphy. XDD

Now I'll stick to Need For Speed Undercover and wait impatiently for Prince of Persia 4 to come out (the dya after i get paid - its fate!!!)

I had an epic weekend despite coming down really ill with this flu-cold bug thing going around. I've practically lost my voice, have a nasty cough, can't breath through my nose and can hardly swallow anything because my throat is so sore. But I had Matsu up for the weekend which made it ace.

After we both had a disasterous time travelling - Matsu with trains and me just going the wrong bloody way.... - on friday we eventually got to my house in time for lasagne. XDD. What else did we do friday night.... oh yeah Matsu turned her tights hairy when cutting my wig - which just got fluffier the shorter it got but short notice provided rubbish wigs for me to resort to. We had a really funny convosation over MSN with Brody... who though that Matsu was typing all this stuff when it was me... XDD Bless him we got him so flustered. Went to sleep some time around midnight.... and then saturday was Memorabellia at the Birmingham NEC so that was an early start as we had to meet *Malfoymation and *Ookamiaku at 9.30am at the train station. The day consisted of lots of random stuff and really entertaining moments... including *Ookamiaku being constantly picked on by Stormtroopers. XDDDD They made her sing "I'm a little tea pot" (see here [link]) and stole her ice cream, teddy, drink and a toy robot... XDD.
We got William Moseley - aka Peter Pevensie from the new version of 'the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe' and 'rince Caspian' - to do a rubix cube and fail epically... though our Near is fucking good at rubix cubes. She did so many that day.

After the NEC we went to the German Market in Birmingham... it was fucking freezing and none of us had any gloves or scarves with us... XDDD. I had an really good pretzel... which Matsu stole a chunk of ;_; and we went on the carasel (merry-go-round thing). I was os ill that day because me being the clever person I am forgot to take any cold and flu medicine with me and so suffered. I bought some while out and discovered that Beechams aren't worth the money I paid because they kicked in really quickly.... and wore off really quickly (didn't even last an hour) which is great when the dosing is "every 4-6 hours". When we got back to mine Matsu and I just went straight to bed as we got home somwhere after 10pm.
Sunday was a lie in before joing everyone else for a meal for *Ookamiaku's Birthday and stuff.... we then went to find rubix cubes. XDD (Yes we're obsessed). After that Matsu and I had a quiet night in watching Prince Caspian and reading manga.

Today I took Matsu to the station to go home and it felt so weird... epsecially coming home without her. Got so used to having her here. I fell bad over the fact that I made her ill.... she's started to come down with what I have. Typically the one weekend I get off work is the one weekend I become ill. I had to go into work after dropping Matsu off and sort out tomorrow's shift... as I'm too ill to work. Still have to phone up tomorrow and say "yeah, I'm still too ill to come in."
After I got home I just crashed in front of the TV and caught up on Heroes and Merlin. XDD Just under three hours of entertainment. I still have Mirror's Edge to play and Need for Speed Undercover.... and NFS: Underworld is coming out soon too apparently (according to the game shop advertising).

I am so tired its pathetic. I can barely hear as well because my sinuses are all messed up with whatever it is I'm ill with... My world has decended into a cotton-padded-sounding haze. And I'm supposed to be getting four pieces of uni coursework done this week. ;_; not happening.

So I spent ages last saturday cleaning out my room (just the stuff on the floor that is) and I need to go through my other stuff to clear it too... but that'll have to wait a bit. I now have enough room in my room to fit Matsu next weekend... though I'm still going to have to tidy up again before you arrive. XDDD That is if I'm not hiding from your pink-camera-of-doom, in the non-existant space under my bed. I need to un clutter my desk and the cupboards/chests of draws in my room at some point too.... *puts that off for a while*

Last night I finished off un-cluttering my computer - well as much as I can do wit hout buying an external harddrive. XD. I have defragged, error checked, program-sorted, compacted and backed up my entire computer.....over the course of three days last week and last night I finally sorted through my documents and picture folders. I deleted over 500 files.... and that barely made a dent. Yes I need that external harddrive as most of the stuff I have I need to keep but rarely use... but they're all too big to fit onto disks.

I had time yesterday to do a bit more in terms of tidying up... but I didn't. The power was cut off in my house yesterday morning while the work men did some sort of overhaul somewhere along the power lines so I went out in the morning to start a bit of XMas shopping. I returned home and the power turned on literally as I got to the stairs XDDD. I had to help my parents with a bit of furnoture rearranging. My dad had dismantled the large table in the sun lounge for storage and the kitchem table moved out into the sun lounge and the table we recovered from my late grandfather's house is now in the kitchen... after a fair amount of effort and collective thinking.... it wouldn't fit through the kitchen door. Dad took the top off and it still didn't have enough room to swing around the door frame... so I suggested the kitchen window. We tried taking the kitchen door off first but the bottom set of screws wouldn't come off so we took the table outside again and hauled it through the kitchen window. Yes I rock for suggesting that idea. The table is now sitting in the kitchen, top back on and its a little strange still. Its taller andd slightly bigger then the old kitchen table so it takes some getting used to but at least the surface is even now and the old table was slightly too low for comfort. After the table was sorted I retreated up to my room and watch Battle Royale I and Battle Royale II for the rest of the day.

I want my Prince Caspian DVD!!! It was posted out thursday... so I was expecting it today despite it not officially coming out until monday - my pre-orders usually arrive a couple of days early - but it wasn't in today post so I have to wait until monday now.

I'm currently waiting for my tea to cook. mmmmmm roast lamb. Not had lamb for ages. *drools* My favourite meat and its a big joint i managed to buy. Now all I have to do is fend off my sister, who came home for the weekend, and I should be happy. I oculd be happier and be going to the Donnigton Bonfire tonight but my sister is going out for her friend's birthday so I miss out this year again. Oh well it just means I'll stay in and watch Merlin (after spending some time playing the games on the website. XDDD).

My sister and I were going over really old photos of us as kids (first our old primary school photos and then us at a younger age) and I can't believe how much we've changed. For starters I was moonlight-blonde.... my hair actually went dark-ish brown by the time I hit college and I dyed it thereafter. I look so different but my taste in clothing hasn't changed much over the years apparently... my year one photo sees me wearing over the knee purple socks. XDD everyone else is wearing short socks - all white except joseph who is wearing green ones - and theres me in over the knee socks. The photos off me at a younger age are weird... the dog is huge!!! and the cat. The cat um... Wompuss (don't ask me my mother named it!!!) is bloody big!!! Seriously! I know I'm a little kid but that cat was massive. I'm only about one or two in the photo and the cat is about the same size as me..... and I was about the same size as the dog's head. The dog is big though. She was an Irish Wolf Hound - it was either Tara or Tula, I don't remember which one was alive at that time. My currentl dog is a deer hound lurcher cross and he's big. But Tara and Tula would dwarf him. Poor Mac. XDDD

That is desire to do something, you dirty minded people.

I've been wanting to do a Vincent Valentine cosplay for some times but I'm not sure yet. Recently I htought about Chaos... that one is a challenge but I hope to think of some way about it. I think I may subject Evyn to the mock ups in order to see how it looks. I also have other cosplays to sort out. I'm not sure I want to suffer that much leather/fake leather... not after seeing *Ookamiaku and *Malfoymation go through a weekend of it last May. But still - it is temptation... so I may just substitute the leather for something else... I'll see what I can get/work out seeing as I can not sew. ;_; I have quite a few ideas on how to attempt things but i need to actually get around to fully erm... "logging" what I need to do... Time can be a little difficult to get ahold of.

Still haven't decided who to do to join in the arrancar army that is forming among us Bleachers. I wanna do Stark because he is epic... but the whole um... "boob" issue makes it a little difficult unless I can find some way of hiding them better.... I'll look into it. The semi-open top he wears will prove a challenge with the binding so another route shall have to be taken. Stark rules. And he's lazy so I don;t have to be a people person and hyper. XDDD Good virtues to avoid for me. But other then Stark then I *may*... and I emphasise "may" here... attempt Halibel... if again I can solve the boob issue... though its a slightly different boob issue in that case.. more how to keep them uh.. in... the top then hidden under the top... Yeah I'll shut up about the boobs now. XDD

Ever suddenly remember, or stumble across an old TV show or movie that you watched as a kid that is no longer shown. I was trying to remember the name of this really cheesy kids show from a couple of years ago and remembered a ton of others that I had forgotten about. Like Johnny Quest!!! How old is that show!!! And that made me think of Sea Quest DSV (I think it was DSV). I've recently gotten back into mass-watching Star Trek again. Yes I am a Trekkie... but not the original. Its funny but not as good as Next Generation. XDD. Recently bought series four and so have been glued to my TV in between work and uni. I blame London for it after Emma and I watch a series four episode randomly at 2am in the morning on the Friday on the TV.

A new show I have been watching is Merlin on the BBC ([link]). Its not that bad actually. Even though they villianised Valient and have taken a while for the actors to actually take to acting.... But they have an interesting spin on the tales of Merlin. For those who don't know the show its about Merlin as a young teenager in camelot when King Uther (Arthur's father) rules. The trick is that Uther has outlawed magic, so Merlin must keep it a secret. The only person who knows in Camelot is the Court Healer who he is living with, named Gaius - oh and Lancelot, but he's left Camelot to gain better favour and so on.
Latest episode - and yes this is a **spoiler** - had the first appearance of the young druid Mordred.... who in the other tales of Merlin was a nasty enermy when he grew up... and so was Morgana... or rather Morgan LeFey... who was also Arthur's half sister... though Morgana in Merlin (bbc) is ward to king Uther and so a sort of step sister.... though there is some romantic sufferings between the pair (which is also another part of some tales - they have an incestous relationship for a short time and end up with a son... called Mordred none the less. XDDD). I love the tales of Merlin and the channel four two parter from years ago starring Sam Neill was the best one so far... that was the DVD I couldn't find a while ago... and still can't find. (I also can not find my Vampire Knight mangas so I think a tidy up is needed) I really want to watch it again darn it!!! But the BBC's Merlin is coming to an end. Its a thirteen part series and episode 8 was shown yesterday.... Judging by what has happened and how little the series has developed I am assuming it'll be an ongoing set of series like Heroes... or at least I hope so.

And Heroes series 3... am I the only one to think its not as good as the first... or the second really. Though its still good... just a little see through in places and totally not making sense in others.... then again first series had the advantage of being completely new story and stuff. Though series three is getting more intersting... but some parts drag out too much. As if they're stalling for time as they think up the rest of the series.... *shrug* ah well. we'll see how it turns out.

November is not my month... too much stuff to fit in.
I have 2 x 3,000 word essays to write for Forensic Anthropology, a group report for IRCS and a group report for advanced DNA profiling. I think there may be an exam (or two) coming up too....
On top of that I'm working almost everyday which is killing my free time. And yesterday I stupidly signed up for more work this week. Yeah so much for having a day off to do absolutely nothing on. I need to sort out my room too. I can't find a lot of my stuff that I'm gonna need and I know its all in my room somewhere... just a case of finding them - which translates as 'I need to tidy my room'. *sigh* I'm not looking forward to that because I don't have the time really.... (am too much of a perfectionist to leave it half done)


And my computer has started to act slower then it should... so I'm trying to fit in a complete "overhaul" in among everything else. At the moment I'm defraging the sod. The C: drive alone took over an hour to finish. need to start doing that regularly so it won't take as long. Currently defraging the backup D: drive... and I have to go to work soon so it'll be left running while I'm scrubbing out ovens and serving annoying customers on the deli. Not so fun. Sometime - not tomorrow because I'll be out all fucking day ;_; - I need to error-check the all my drivers and then clean and compact everything. I need to clean out the programs list too. I have a ton of programs on my PC which I have never (and probablhy ever will) use.... so they have to go. Especially seeing as I want to have enough space to load up Fable II. XDDD
I have to get around to buying another external harddrive... my dad stole mine. -.-; And then transfer most of my files and stuff onto it... they're clutering up my disk space but I don't want to delete them and there's too many to just swap onto disk. So yeah... thats more money I don't have being spent.


So in short my schedule looks like this:

Its being prduced by Jerry Bruckheimer, under Walt Disney Pictures so the special effects should be good. And Bruckheimer is good at these sort of movies. One of the costume designers (Penny Rose) also worked on POTC so the actors will be dressed the part too.

Essentially the film follows Sands of Time, though the Prince is named Dastan and Farah's name is changed to Tamina. I'm a little concerned because Jake Gyllenhaal is starring as the prince... he doesn't quite fit the role to me... but I'll have to wait and see him in both costume and action.... Someone called Gemma Arteton is Tamina... no idea what she is like though so I'll refrain from comment there.

It all looks so ace. Well *sounds* ace... hopefully it'll be good. Jerry Bruckheimer!!! The god of POTC.

Just looked it up on IMDB.com and it says its set to release in 2010.... ages away!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But closer then it seems also. I just don't want ot wait that long. ;_;

And the fourth installment of the game saga is being released soon. The new prince looks good and an excellent piece of fanart from ~nefar007 really makes him look mysterious and thrilling.

So Wolverine!! (The movie that is)

GAMBIT IS IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats already made the film a must see... and the fact that Taylor Kitsch is playing dear ol' Remy LeBeau makes all better. The trailer for it is awesome!!!!!!!!! Despite the poor quality of the film because it wasa mobile phone video of the trailer at a comic-con. Need to get a better version. But the special effects on Gambit's talents look amazing and he has his bo-staff. T^T I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are so many cameos in Wolverine its gonna be fun picking them all out. I know Deadpool is in it and supposedly Psylocke. I think I mentioned this before in a previous journal entry... maybe.

Dominic Monaghan is playing "Beak" aka. Blackwing, Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool. Stryker is back with a new actor (I think)... as is Sabertooth. Weapon XI and the Blob are in this one too and Lumberjack and Scott Summers (though I believe it's Scott as a teenager/younger age because its a different actor there also....)

IMDB.com lists Wolverine as being in "post-production" and set to release May 2009. *happy dance* thats one good film to look forward to next year... now to find more. XDDD

I would draw something for it but I'm in the process of giving Daithi a character make-over... he looks totally different now.

And no suggest I get a pumpkin. I'm sick if them. We sold them at work and had three squashed ones sitting out back going mouldy... so it stank of rotten pumpkin for ages... even with them gone it still smells of it. Not that I ever liked the things.

I plan to stay home and do very little today. XDDD. I'll try to finish Daithi's new look but its somewhat more detailed then I intended... and so far all I've done is his head and basic form of his hair... he's still naked. XD I'm gonna kill myself over his clothes I think. What I want to now draw on him is difficult and I may give up and do something else. I don't think I'll ever colour this one - its too details and I'm crap at colouring so why ruin it.

And I'm sort of ill. Its swinging up and down between "I feel fine" and "my throat just died". I sneezed yesterday and it felt as if I had just coughed up a lung... and my throat really hurt after that. My voice keeps cracking at odd times and I went through a wonderful time of having difficulty breathing yesterday at work... because the air was so cold and thin. DX

I want it to snow again damn it!!! *childish tantrum* Not fair!!!!!!!!!!!! Snow makes freezing your arse off worthwhile! I'm currently still in four layers of clothing (one of which is my really thick dressing gown) and I'm still cold because according to my clock its 14.5'c. Oddly enough my hands are warm today... but my forearms aren't. o.O' Don't ask me how that works.

I am so cold right now... I should go put the heating on but my hands have reached that nice stage where they're too cold to feel. XDDD The rest of me is warm enough for the time being... just not my hands. My alarm clock is telling me the temperature is still 13.5'C. -.-; But the snow vanished. It absolutely blizzarded around my house on Tuesday night - so bad I had to practically unbury my car to go to work! When I came out of work my car doors had frozen shut. ;_; Which had the guys laughing at me while I was trying to open them. Defrosting my car was annoying - it was freezing over faster then I could de-ice the sod. The engine took a while to heat up too so that was little help. But once I got going it was toasty XDDDD. Last night was just cold... and no snow to make it up. *cries* I want the snow back!!!!!!!! (am definately a winter child - I need my snow, even though it rarely snows in the UK)

I found MO-3 yesterday and I want him!!!!!!!!!!!! He only comes tanned... but I may still get him. I would have prefered normal or white but the tanned version isn't that dark... and I did say I'd go for a second one soon. And MO-3 looks ace. I need to find some accessories for Eyvn and then possibly for the MO-3 if I get him. If I did get MO-3 though he'd arrive either january or february... so long!!!!!!!!!!! Depends how much I get paid (which won't be much anyway.

In a glance the weekend was epic!!! Though there were moments of weridness where none of us seemed to understand what was going on which made it quite uncomfotable. I'm currently waiting for my camera to finish downloading all its photos and videos onto my computer... there seem to be a lot (though not as many as last time I think)

So to break it down:
Friday was travelling down there. It was long and tiring and I had to get up at 5.30am. The coach ride wasn't too bad just a little boring but the Tube was nasty - too many stairs. We got to the hotel and finished booking in somewhere around 1.30pm and we all just flopped for a while. Originally we were going to change into our full Bleach shinigami robes but in the end we decided that we didn't want to risk spilling something on our robes so we went in gigai form. XDDDD It is a little weird in the videos and photos to see Hitsugaya and Ukitake sitting next to each other and wearing almost identical clothes.... by sheer coincidence. We met up with our other Bleachers before we went out though I can't remember exactly what happened between getting to the hotel and leaving for Wagamama but I know we met everyone at about 5pm briefly. It was a little awkward - I'm not the best with new people... I tend to stay quite and have no idea what to say past "hello". The journey to Wagamama was interesting... a little divided butmy little group were having a weird laugh at "train surfing".... basically trying to balance and stay up right without holding onto anything (which is harder then it sounds as the DLR rocked sharply without warning)... andI'm sure people though we were either drunk or insane.... but it was funny. We had to wait for a while in Wagamama for a table and initially the waiter siad he'd have to split us up into two groups in order to seat us... but then we ended up sitting all together anyway. It was a little weird but really fun. I was only in range to talk to my group (without being rude and shouting down the table anyway) so I didn't have to deal with awkward conversations with people I did know. Out of the orignal 30 odd people who said they would go that night only 11 turned up - which gave us a better chance at getting a table. Gin didn't join us for the meal as he was feeling a little ill after travelling. So after the meal my little group went off to picadilly circus and that arcade/shopping center place again and bought something we needed and some food for Gin. By the time we got back he was feeling a lot better as he had just slept the entire time. We all changed into our shinigami robes then and joined everyone downstairs for te sake party. I was freezing cold and prety much one of the only ones not drinking... but it was fun. I eventually went up to bed when I was too cold and tired to remain and that was at 1am.... so I had been awake for 19 and a half hours.... ugh!! Aizen came up at about 1.30 and while waiting for her to finish getting ready for bed I was channel surfing and found Star Trek next generation... we decided to watch that and so didn't ry going to sleep until gone 2am. XDDD and we got up only three hours later. XDDDD We were knackered!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday (which technically started with us going to bed...) was long and tiring but really fun. It was a our Bleach day so were were all shinigami except Mio who did an epic Miyavi cosplay. Generally we just walked around and shopped. Ran into Matsumoto's gang a few times before going off again. We had the Bleach photo-meet at 11 ish and I had sooooo many bad photos taken of me. We were called up by division number and other then Hanataro, I was the only one on my own. ;_; And I'm really bad at being centre of attention like that so I was just going red and laughing because everyone was shouting "cough Ukitake!".... so yeah bad photos... Still was fun though. When we had the Esparda photos taken D-ROy suddenly fell over - partly from falling and partly because our mini-shini from May (Ethan) pushed him.... XDDD. I ran into Kiisama again... we only saw each otehr once and that was towards the end of saturday's EXPO. It was a really random meeting of her once again finding me and me going "KIISAMA!!!!!!!!!" and then glomping each other. She looked absolutely awesome in her cosplay!!! Which I've just realised that I didn't get any photos of.... how did that happen?
Saturday night... was interesting. Emma and Mio got drunk... all the while insisting that they weren't drunk. It made some really funny videos too. And there were conversation about cavemen, moons and jaffa cakes. Don't ask. And the sun has just come out the fucker!!!!! I have to go to uni!!!! Damn it. Perfect oportunity to finish the sheath now... but I can't just skip uni today because its one of my mock crime scenes so I have to attend. Spent all morning sorting stuff for that. Nearly killed my printer with the amount of stuff I had to print off. Evidence logs, photographic records, sketch papers, initial observation logs, scene examination notes.... in multiples. I have to be at the crime scnee house by 12.45 latest so I need to leave home at around 11.15am ish to get there early in case of bad traffic etc. I am praying that my team don't want to meet up this week to do the initial "after scene" briefing... I don't have time. But our lab sessions aren't until november so we can wait until after next week.

I don't have time for *ANYTHING* so if anyone out there asks me if I want to do something or etc then go away!! Because I'm going to be too rushed to be polite (no offense). I don't have time to chat over the phone either so ringing me will be met with "sorry too busy" and the dial tone... if I even answer the phone.

One last thing before I disappear off to finish getting ready for uni. I've been personalising my little car and this is the finished sign that will be hanging in one of the windows.

And another thing that really, really grates on my nerves is if I didn't quite catch what a person said and I ask them to repeat themselves and they just say "Never mind!". Ok, my hearing is shit; I know this, they know this and they still treat it as if I'm deliberately not listening to them. It is upsetting when your friends don't make an effort to understand something, and its not as if I'm asking them to cut off an arm of something, - just repeat what they said (preferably clearly and while facing me, not mumbling and turning away). And also I will define clearly as "clearly" not "talk louder". Volume doesn't generally have much of an effect on what I hear, so shouting at me or similar will only serve to piss me off. Though whispering just annoys me. Besides it being far too quiet for me to understand, I'm sensitive about my ears and generally don't like people touching they or talking right into them. I have difficultly with certain tones and pitches which means talking and accents really can be difficult to understand. Thats what 'tone deaf' means. While I don't usually have problems with most conversations if its only one or two people the noiser the background the harder it is for me to hear you, and I unconsciously rely on lip reading to help me understand what your saying so don't just turn away or start talking when I'm not looking at you unless you know I'm paying attention to you. I understand you get fed up of repeating yourselves but I get even more fed up when you just suddenly get pissy with me for not being able to understand what you just said. Its not as if I can help it! It only really makes me feel out of the loop because you don't want to explain something to me again or just change the topic and expect me to still know what you're talking about.
I find it somewhat depressing when people I've just met show more consideration and understanding then people I've known for years. Especially as my hearing is something I don't really like talking about and explaining (though I'm doping so now because people are just pissing me off).

It revealled that Kira Izuru is actually *just* on the line of being classed as under weight... In adult men and women (according to the BMI chart anyway) a healthy person's BMI is anywhere between 20 and 25, but it can be as low as 18.5 and still class as healthy... Kira's BMI is 18.7. I knew he was a skinny twig but still!!!!! Ukitake is 20.6 and his illness has symptoms of weight loss. I would have thought he would be the lowest BMI. Out of the ten shinigamis that I used Kyouraku has the highest BMI of 23.6, with Renji in second at 22.07.

Now Kichiki Byakuya's BMI is 19.75 - another skinny shinigami. Then again they're all skinny but as my Bya-kun pointed out, Kuchiki has a figure to keep. XDDD

Hisagi, Gin and Ichigo all have BMIs lower then Ukitake, though Ichigo should technically be classed in the "childrens" range, which places him in the middle of his age group's healthy range (16.5 to 23.5). What age does Hitsugaya look like?? Karin refers to him as an elementary schooler (much to his ditaste and Matsu's amusement) so that places him around ten. o.0? His age greatly affects whether he's in a healthy BMI range or not...

Uni is trying to kill me. I have labs this week every morning at 9am - which means I have to get up at **6am latest** if I am to beat rush hour traffic and get to uni on time. On top of the that each lab is four hours long. *cries* Stupid things are all about DNA profiling so its all extra-carefully processes and pipetting. At least we're using to automated pipettes and not the manual ones. I hate the manual ones. The plus side of the labs is we get to use the SGM+ machines, which are the same machines the police use. The profiles we get back will hopefully be good, because if they're not then it means we messed it up somewhere. XDDD
I am living on dirt - I have spare money left. Because I have to go into uni everyday this week and an extra day last week my petrol bill has rocketed. I have enough money to last for what I already have planned and stuff but nothing spare left to mess around with. So I'm trying to get some extra over time at work in order to stock up my money. But seeing as the schedules have been severly fucked up by the superviser who walked out three weeks ago the chances of over time is somewhat small.
Which is great seeing as I'm getting my hair re-dyed next week. Thats more money out of my bank, but I really want it redone as its getting to the shade where it looks aweful on me at bright ginger. It will be going back to cherry red on Tuesday. XDD

I am melting... or maybe thats my icecream. My room is thankfully nice and cool - brick walls are a blessing sometimes. XDD Its only 20.0'c in my room (at least according to my alarm clock) while out side is roasting. Driving into town was painful. My steering wheel was too hot to hold for long and the seats were warm. I forgot to take off my jacket before getting in too so that made it worse. On the up side I with stood all that heat torture to buy some goodies. A couple of packs of biscuits and some of the yummy 'Oats and More' bars - which I've finally found somewhere that sell them.

Thanks to Matsu-chan I still eating Baked Alaska. Its all your fault my dear and it always will be. But hunting for the polar bears is fun. Sadly there is only a little bit left to the tub. Will need to buy another one soon. Then again, seeing as I some how polished of a third of the tub in one sitting I may stay of it for a while. That nearly made me ioll from over eating. XDDD Ice cream is only good in small quantities with eitehr lots of toppings or something in it like white chocoy polar bears or chocy dinosaurs. Yes I am a fan of Ben and Jerry's icecream.

I was considering going out today... but I melted just looking out my window and decided that no. I'll stay in. So now I have just under four hours to waste before Merlin is on... SO I'm gonna watch the RMB shows again... or at least bits of it. I have to watch the Zattsu Otoko and Fuuyu no Hanabi bits. The first is too funny to not watch and the last is adorable. I love Hitsugaya so much now and Nagayama is perfect as him. So cute. I think most of us want to hug the life out of him he's *that* adorable.

I am so tired now - I really don't know why. I went to bed early last night because I was absolutely shattered and I slept in this morning for a bit. I was fine when I got up too. But oddly enough as soon as it started raining I started feeling sleepy.

Oh random bit of info: I cooked bacon for the first time myself today. I was trying to get it to go all nice and crispy brown... but it refused even though it started to burn in places. But it made a nice bacon sandwich so not too bad. Just not crispy.

I've just been scratting around trying to find something to split the tape seal on my chocolate mini rolls, hoping there was something to hand as I am too lazy to get up and fetch my work knife from my uniform pockets, when it occured to me I have about five different craft knives sittin at my elbow on my desk. I'm such an idiot sometimes.

Now I am bored. I have nothing to do really, nor the energy to do more then sit here.... might go for a DVD... I want to watch Merlin (starring Sam Neill) but I still can't find the DVD... I know I have it somewhere.

I started back at Uni yesterday... which just consisted of picking up my new ID card (which looks like a total knock-off) and signing on to my course as normal. I only know two of my rooms for the entire year... and I have five classes (two this semester and four next semester - though one is an all year class so it continues over).
On top of that I have my module of IRCS - or Investigating and Reporting Crime Scenes - which is just bloody practical work.... we have two crime scenes through the year which we have to investigate in a group (already picked for you.... )and write up reports. I'm gonna hate the final part of the second case though as we have to go through an entire mock court proceeding. I'm going to completely fuck that up knowing my luck. I hate being center of attention like that. Everyone staring at me. I don't know any of my group, while my friends are all with at least one person they know. So not fair.
I drove there for the first time (and I mean first time *I* drove myself there as I usually get the bus or train) and was really pleased with a. making it there early and b. not getting lost on the way. The turning off to my Uni from the dual carriage way is a pain to find as you have to turn off miles early so you're on the correct side of the barrier.... and I found it first try!!! Haha it took me 40 minutes to get there and I was singing along to various tracks of RMB all the way. XDDD Surprisingly it didn't rain though. And I got the LAST parking place availible at the time I arrived.
Tuesday is going to be an early start, leaving my house at 8am at the latest so I can swing by Quinny's to pick her up and then off we jet to Uni for an hour and a half long meeting... thats it... all day... then I have to go to work. /.\ I'm going to be so tired.

My sword is all pretty and finished - love my Sougyo no Kotowari - but I'm waiting until I get the sheath done before I post pictures. That way it saves me posting a random photo of a sheath.... (As promised Chioky I shall link you to the finished photo, as without your help I'd have done a pretty bad job or at least... out of proportion). So I need to find wood suitable for the sheath - which his relatively straight forward to make, just time consuming when the weather doesn't cooperate. Today would have been a great day to make it... but alas, no wood.

I randomly answered the phone the other day with "Moshi moshi, Juusanbantai Taicho". Um so a bit weird, and the person just hung up.... XDDDD.

Yes arrived this morning sometime after 11. I was out but my parents had literally just gotten in when the delivery van came. XDDDDD. He's so pretty, and surprisingly light.... And his eyes are purple!!!!!!



I need to do a bit more shopping when I get money again and trick him out (I sound like a pimp now. lol).


I went to Birmingham today with Helen and I raided Nostalgia comics and forbidden planet. Only managed to find two comics I was hunting for and then a further four I discovered while there that weren't on my list. Bought a small, and I actually mean small, amount of food and then one manga (an all time low for me!!!!). Its sucks having no money!!!! Argh and I start back at Uni in just over two weeks. No money!!!!

Apparently they didn't recieve the normal notices they're supposed to get when the customs charge was paid to notify for delivery. So thats why it wasn't delivered.... so now its coming tomorrow and so help them if its late again. The guy promised that it would be her tomorrow. The greatest thing was I asked if he could give me a rough estimate of when it would arrive - you know like morning, afternoon, midnight???!?!?! But he just sighed and said that he couldn't say... "it depends on what the guy has in his truck" Yeah but surely there would be an estimate of either AM or PM??? Stupid sod. He mumbled the entire time and when I asked him to repeat something he sounded so put out. Well excuse me if my hearing is shit and you speak like crap!!! Plus there was people chatting in the background which I could just here enough to understand they were trying to figure out what to tell me. So some internal error means my parcel is late. Charming... there was no apology or offer to file a complaint or anything.

And the great part is... I'm out all day tomorrow!!!!! My parents will be in part of the day... and if the van comes when we're all out I'm going to have to wait for another delivery... If they try to charge me for that they're getting more then a nasty phone call off me.

Hahah - oh and they'll be lucky if its me... my mother is not impressed at all and she'll quite happily rant at them. XDDDD Oh I am soooooo going to file a complaint over this. If the parcel is even the slightest bit damaged or dented they'll be screwed.
I had emailed an enquirey, about where the parcel is, through their internal system yet no one had responded to that at all. Ha! The only way for me to complain is to send an email (so lost my faith in that) or phone them up (which costs a lot). Great. I hope my mother is the one who catches the driver. She'll demand a complaint form and moan at them for ages.

Oh look I have a headache now. joy(!).

So I am going to search for something to cheer me up. Or at least lessen this bad mood. I really am not pleased with all this. I was going to do more to the new LJ layout I'm designing but I really can't concentrate on that sort of thing now.
