New Years Resolutions, let's recap:

- Take more photos - Done
- Meet more people whilst taking photos - Done
- Print business cards - Done
- Get website up and running - Done
- Be dedicated to what I want to do (ie take more photos) - Not as much as I should have
- Get back into my karate (ie get black belt) - I broke my leg instead
- Start cycling more - Kinda. New bike, but not too much time
- Have at least one exhibition in 2008 - Not Done. Early next year hopefully.

My friend's birthday on Tuesday, photographing Amanda Palmer Wednesday night, extended trading hours all week, The Red Paintings' Christmas Show on Saturday and helping clean up after it, then Sunday drinks for friend's birthday, Monday work and dinner with parents (sigh) then Christmas day I will be unconscious until dinner.

I think I may have to visit Happy High Herbs for some awakeness.

I saw Muse tonight - a photographer I lost contact with was shooting and I realised just how far behind I have fallen in comparison to where I could be.

I feel like shit.

But I know where to go from here. There is only ONE way TO go.

I was going to write "maybe" here, but I'm writing "definitely" instead. I have to do this. I have to stop being so slow, so avoidant and just a procrastinator. I say this is all I want to do yet I have done virtually *nothing* about it this entire year (I blame my first job, for the first 8 months of the year, to be perfectly honest).

I can't go back and do what I forgot to do - it's too late now.

But I can remember to do it the first time.

Maybe seeing Patrick Wolf perform twice in 24 hours has fried my brain at time of typing. He's such a ridiculously gorgeous and talented creature.

Muse next weekend in Sydney - no photos though, as wouldn't be able to get the 40D in or get photos from my arsey SEATED position. Will try luck at Riverstage back in Brisbane the week after, even if it's with my small camera.

Almost back home from my 2 week journey away from Sydney down south to Melbourne. Went to 2 MK gigs, drove a hell of a lot, took too many photos (is that possible?), wasn't on the internet enough (im a nerd) and missed my computer. HAHA. And I tried out some long exposure stuff with an orange glowstick, but it didn't work. Oh well. Shit happens. Also got some sweeeeeeet photos from the MK gigs - one of which I am going to add on to the photo of PB from MGF already in my gallery and make a small Emotion series.. If I can, I'm going to find some other photos I've taken to make it a 3 part and therefore a decent series.

Y'all give me some photo ideas ok?

And neither Interpol or The Faint are playing BDO . But The Faint are playing in Sydney. Problem is it will be 22 days before I'm 18 that they play at the Gaelic Club - so therefore I can't get in. But a friend of mine is going, and she said she would buy me a shirt or some merch or something - so I guess it isn't that bad... although I would kill someone to be able to get in there and actually see them play live - and get photos and stuff.. that would just make my year start wonderfully ;D

Neither Interpol or The Faint are on the 2nd Big Day Out announcement... Which really pisses me off because both bands will have just been in Australia literally weeks before the BDO's start.. The Faint will be in Japan before but it's not that hard to get back down here for a week! GAAAH. I'm still going to see The Faint (well, hopefully..) in Sydney at their show at the Gaelic Club but I dunno...
and INTERPOL. Hellloooo..... They're doing some show at the Metro (of all places.. sheesh) I think ... they'll be around in time for BDO...

On the other hand, Slipknot are going to be at BDO so that's nice. and The Hives, and Wolfmother, and The D4, and the Hilltop Hoods, which I have been given recommendation to see... so I shall...
