Me updating again for like the 3rd time or something. I have a new computer now, so Ill get my scanner hooked up pretty soon and start posting shit again =\ I'm so lazy with scanning my work >.<

Anyway..
I have a favor to ask of the internet.

My dad owns and operates his own business, just himself, called Artistic Woodworks. He refinishes cabinets mainly, but also does color corrections on wood and such. He's having a hell of a time finding work and since he's the only one supporting the whole damn family, it's a problem when he has no work. So I'm advertising for him, hoping to get the word out. So im finally back from Germany. Got back on the 1st but ive been sleeping a lot and spending time with Jake. We finally got a damn window cooler in here so our tiny room is actually pleasant to be in and we dont have to have 3 fans going at once. Good times. My birthday is tomorrow! I'm turning 18 finally!! Very excited!

I might post some art once I get my scanner hooked up. The thing is stupid, it wont work right with my new computer. Bah.

This journal reminded me of something from years and years ago.
It always disgusts me when an "artist" blatantly takes ideas or images from another source and uses them without any mention of the sources used.
Well, almost copying is one thing. It's even worse when the little shits trace, like the cunt in the above link.


So, many of you are probably familiar with amy brown, the fairy artist (lawl?) with no real talent and who hasn't gotten any better at her... art in years and years. She has all kinds of products with her shitty art on it.

Okay, fine. She's not very good, but she managed to become well-known. More power to her. I never liked her art, I'm really more interested in art that I couldn't best myself, like the work of Brian Froud and Wendy Froud ( [link] )
Apparently, Amy Brown is pretty "inspired" by him too. So inspired, in fact, that she has flat out traced a number of his images to use in her work.
