But the new one (Samsung L85) kicks ass!! It's better than w-15, and can easily match up against any Canon A- series camera...5x (optical) zoom, 1cm macro, full manual mode...it's a bit bulky, but it's got that sleek analog look

Couple of days ago I've seen Day Watch (part two of the trilogy) - it's even better than the Night Watch!!! I'm utterly impressed. The Russians have done a great job...I've heard that the last part will be in english, I hope it doesn't become Crappywood blockbuster, russian language really adds to the whole feeling of the movie...
I've already ordered the books

I might even graduate this summer that'd be so great...but...I'd have to continue at this supersonic speed...not having time to get too often hehe

Next couple of weeks )maybe even a month or two) I will be submitting only digital art (mainly Terragen and spaceart) pieces, because I'd like to apply for a membership at *Spaceartists and becuase I stll don't have money to buy a camera (have to finish working, July 22nd, and then wait to get a paycheck) - so, to all the people that watches my photos - sorry, you'll have to wait a bit
I've just uploaded 3 new deviations, old collaborations with
The first one, "Oculus", was made almost 2 years ago, and it's nothing special, but it IS the first one, so we uploaded it anyway...The thing I like about it is that at the time we didn't even know what the brushes were (including smudge, blur, dodge, burn...), so it's 100 PS filters come on, you try to make an eye just by using the standard filters hehe
The other two were made about a year ago (I think - I really don't remember), after watching a comedy - Friday the 13th (it's so funny )...it was 6 hours of work (untill morning...) and we were quite happy with the outcome...Since ~argolach made his dA account only recently, we decided to upload them to, but first we spent couple more hours adding details (and signature...). I think the turned out just fine...it seems that Inner Collision is getting more favs than Substratum , but I think that's because of the first one being in Digital Art gallery, the other one in wallpapers (in fact it has far more views)

It's been a really interesting week for me, both on dA and in real life...
I've visited a lots of deviants, commented a lot and I visited dA forum for the first time!! interesting experience, but I think it will make me spend more time over here...(not a good thing)
I submitted couple of photographs, they're not bad...I think I'm getting better - the problem is, I don't have a camera anymore...My friend had to have it back (it was his camera I was using for 2 months), so now I'm waiting for my paycheck (I don't know when that'll be) to buy me a G6...
I think I'll get back to digital art for a month or two, mostly Terragen and spaceart...I might even submit one of my drawing...that'll be interesting...
I don't want to talk about my real life, it's not good is all I have to say...nothing tragic happened, but I feel down anyway...it's all those little things that tend to happen at the same time and make you feel like shit...only 10 days ago everything was perfect...whatever, it will pass
I still haven't submitted all those good volcano photos, so don't you worry photography fans!!

I shot a couple of hundred photos with my friend's point-and-shoot 2.1MPx HP camera (I'm saving money for a Canon G6 - the perfect camera for my needs)...The quality is pretty bad, but I think some of the photos turned out quite nice...In fact, so far I submitted 3 of them (one is a set of 6 frames, other 2 closeup/macro), all 3 for some kind of contest...I never had a contest entry before...
I'll surely submit at least 10 photos next week...I think I'm getting hang of all this photography adventure I jumped into And I'm in love with macrophotography

I should be preparing exams...I'm planning doing 3 this month + 4-5 in June (I passed 8 exams in 30 months and 4 last month)...As you (whoever "you" are) can see, I decided to take this whole astrophysics (that's what I'm studying) thing seriously...
Well that's enough about my non-artistic (artistic in a very broad meaning of the word) life...

What did I do? I've been home for 3 weeks (very bad net connection, I was practically offline), and had a beautiful time. 2 weeks of old friends, great food, beer, cards in the hot (not too hot) mediterranean sun - beautiful So, I actually only shot a dozen of photos or so, mostly experiments...

Then I got back into reality and prepared an important exam - it went better than i hoped!!

Ok, this is just a short journal entry, 'cause I've got 2 exams tomorow, both 'bout making programs (boring!!) to resolve mathematical(boring again!!) problems (total: double boring!!), and I just can't get myself to study Fourier equation and that sort of crap...So, I'll go there open-mindedly(meaning: without opening a book) and hope prof doesn't realize I don't know a thing about implementation of matrices...
Enoguh about that, it's time for deviantART - I've been getting along nicely these few days, got two favourites in 3 minutes for "Good morning aliens!" Thank you guys! I it lasted for only 1 hour, I'd be having 20 +favs already!! Doesn't matter, it was an old crappy remastered picture...Better stuff will come soon enough

Ok, this is probably gonna be a long one...
Wow, you really touched me with your thoughts, and I felt the need to write something up, maybe to cheer you up, maybe to make u think a little about everything. OMG, I actually started writing about myself and then deleted everything...once I start talking (writing), I can't stop...must be very annoying... anyways

I'm really sorry you have no friends in Thailand...Is it because they're too different or beacuse you're affraid of getting along with them just to have to forget them again (once you moved somwhere else)? You should know that, only a few friends are "real" friends, and if they are, no distance could ever separate you (only when I moved to Italy 3 yrs ago, I knew exactly who were my real friends, and I still can't wait to get back for the hollidays; but also, once back "home", I can't wait to go to Italy again, because I miss my Italian *real* friends so much)...So go ahead, meet the people - some will become an interesting story to talk about later; some will make you laugh; some will make you do things you never did before; some will make you think; they should all make you happy, even by doing different things; those that make it into all those categories will remain your friends forever.
The thing is, everyone is different, and one shouldn't try to find an identical soul to be friend to - it doesn't exist...one thing in common is enough for a conversation to start...the differences are the things that make you think, rethink and perhaps even change your point of view on something...
Almost every person is worth meeting...only few are worth remaining an important part of your life...

I also wanted to ask you: why don't you go to a university? Couldn't you go wherever you wanted (more or less)? Stay (almost) as long as you like? It's something that really changes you, (finally) living all by yourself, learning what it is like in a real life...You could even make it your home...A place to go back to...

This is too damn long!! I'm putting it in my journal...sorry, Sophia, just wanted to say a few words to encourage you and they became lots of words...

Ok, just to sum it up: we all have problems we're trying to solve. If we didn't have any, life would get pretty boring soon enough, wouldn't it? So, basically, it's kind of a good thing - it makes you think, it makes you make yourself a (next) goal in your life and head for it...
We all appreciate what you're doing on dA and hope you find a solution to every problem you ever encounter...

Got to meet couple of people, uploaded couple of not-so-bad deviations, heading firmly for 50 pageview (I just congratulated pinkcookie for making 50,000 views)...Call me hopelessly optimistic, but someone might even read this one
In any case, something is going on...I even got an original idea this morning, during the lessons...Well, I left the idea on the university-property desk (they will clean it up next week...), but now I put it on the paper...Thinking about borrowing roommate's digital, and take a photo of it (since I don't have a scanner)...
It could turn out interesting, should be a whole series (if i get more inspiration )...Can't tell you anything right now, maybe 'cause I'm paranoid, maybe 'cause I'm supersticious about that stuff, it doesn't matter anyway...
Ok, that's enough, I have an exam on Friday, another one next Wednesday and another 2 (probably) somewhere in between and all I do is write entries in dA journal...As Homer would say, "Stupid me!!"

The problem is I haven't been using Photoshop (only for web design) or Terragen for quite some time now...I lost inspiration, don't have time, whatever...But I learned a lot about digital art in that time, so all my older pics seem kinda crappy now
There are couple of sketches and finished pencil drawing, but i don't have a scanner, so...and even if I did, I'd have to clean them up in PS (something I never did before), so I'm afraid of what would come of it...
Well, i have 3 or 4 exams in next 3 weeks, so I don't think I'll be drawing that much...and then I'm going home, thus leaving my beautiful computer for 2-3 weeks (the one at home is not all that good), and anyway, when I'm home only thing i do is party
I should buy myself a digital camera...or steal dad's one (I don't like it though)...
