Well, it seems I've not be posting often enough again. If you notice that I'm disappearing lately or brushing you off its for a very important reason. I'm stressed. Simple enough.

My uncle, who actually owns the house I live in, is going through a tough divorce and has come to the conclusion that he is leaving his house to his soon-to-be-ex-wife so his daughter doesn't have to change schools. What does this mean to anyone that actually reads this journal? My uncle is kicking the lot of us out in 2-3 months so he can move in instead. My parents, sister, and husband and I are all being evicted.

None of us have the money to pick up and move and my husband recently lost his job so he and I are having great troubles making ends meet to start with.

What this also means, if we can't find a place together(parents and all), is that I will not be able to aford rent, food, water, electric, phone, and certainly not the internet. My husband absolutely has to find a job just so we can pay rent in the least and I'm still searching for a better paying one. Applying at the US Postal Office tomorrow.

I cannot allow myself to panic. Panicing is useless. It acheives nothing and right now I desperately need to acheive something. Going to school just went completely out the window again. I'd laugh if it wouldn't lead to me crying.

Well, my computer died last night. I'll likely have to reformat if either I can't convince my dad to or he can't fix it at all. And I'll loose all of my data, most certainly, including a great many of my writen and drawn peices which have for lack of time not made it to DA. Que sera, sera. Such is my luck. It happened late last night, truely early this morning, and going out for work about two hours later I even managed to put on two entirely different shoes, wear my shirt inside out and backwords for work, forgot my pin.. my id.. umbrella and several other things that are bound to give me a migrane soon.

I'm on a library comp right now and have all of 6 minutes left on my timelimit before it shuts me out so I'll make this short.

I splurged on clothes and art supplies recently. I haven't done either in what feels like years and probably is. In ten minutes I have destroyed my new inking pens. *thwaps self* Why did I have to doodle over wax pencil in them?? Ijit... >.< At least I actually inked a picture for once instead of leaving it in lead before I ruined em. Hopefully it should be up later. It's about 7 am. A thought woke me. I'm not usually up right now, in fact that is a great rarity. But that's not important right now. What is.. is the very thought. I'm 21 years old and going nowhere. I've no money for college and very little motivation for.. anything. I need to do something with my life. I'm out of shape and generally unhappy with the condition of my life as it is currently. I have to change something. I need more resposibility. I need to stop dreaming about what I want my life to be. I will, for once, go out and do something about it.

I'm going to loose weight. And then?

And then I'm going to join up in the United States Military.

God help me if this is a mistake.

I actually cried last night when I was able to eat a full meal. Seems silly no? But it happened. My body is quite litterally starving, my hands shake, my knees'll go out with the smallest of bumps, and I've been sick to my stomach when I do eat. Can't sleep.. and for the remaining time here.. can't really eat. I've been living off of butter toast for the last week. Ramen before that(which is now all gone).. and this, only once a day.

A very sad truth is that my rabbit has been eating more than I do.


*depressed sigh*

No, I can't simply go out and buy my own(no money, explained below) or make my own as certain rules have been set about food. Many if not all of the items are set aside for actual meals for the 4 of us and even these are tiny meals.. and we are not allowed to touch these items unless all four of us are here which is seldom if ever. Items that we can eat.. A small amount of rice, barley, bread, milk, and eggs don't really do much good when the gas is out(gas stove.. and similarly means our heat is out) and no one has the money to pay to get more and so they'll do without for the entire summer using the microwave and toaster. But I can't reasonably make anything but eggs in the microwave.. and toast. That's it. Microwave simply won't work for the rice or the barley.. or any of the frozen meats for meals. >.< We don't have more cash for food because I already gave them the cash for it and they squandered it on buying a puppy they have been waiting for. *pulls out hair*



I can't wait till we are back in Pittsburgh. We'll be off by the end of the week.

The sum of things: Moving out. Again. Military paying for move and storage. This time back to art school and Pittsburgh. And.. I'm getting a rabbit for Easter. *cheers* Worked so hard for that damned thing that it better not die on me before the week is over.. Got a new car, selling the old one. New car is as old and clunky as the old one and still as old as I am. (legal drinking age in the US, damn it..) I've made a very good friend down here, Allison, and have learned that friends and family make the worst roommates.

My mom is gonna freak when she hears the accent I've been working hard at for over a year. My sister'll tease me. Already lining up a job in town in a place that is bound to be robbed more than once while I'm there. >.> <.< >.> And I'll be paraded around with my family for at least two weeks without rest.

We're planning on being out of MS by the end of next week, circumstances willing.

I'd add more, but then it would no longer be a 'short' summary.

[Edit] The bunny is a 3 month old norwegian giant albino female. Her name's Ruby and she's already snuggling with Alli's male rabbit, Clyde. *eyes them to ensure they behave and don't make baby bunnies and so Clyde doesn't try and kill the new bunny*

Coming home late last night from Alison's(soon to be our place) we took a hairpin turn, went off the side of the road and got stuck on train tracks just missing a ten feet deep ditch that would have flipped our tank of a car on either side of the track. We got out quickly and Bruce ran down the street to call 911. We found out that there was a train due to come through in an hour but the sherif managed to call the railroad company and delay the train till we could clear the track. My husband and I are ok. Just a little sore and with a bit of wounded pride. Our car has been impounded because our insurance expired all of a few weeks ago(hubby dearest never bothered to tell me that.. >.> ) and we have a court date for the middle of April.

Silver men come take me awayyy... I'm psycho. Men from mars on shooting stars.. I'm psycho.

One week left till we officially move in with my friend Allison. I love Mississippi in the spring.. I have flowers in my garden that I wasn't even aware I have.. I'm getting a russian blue female kitten from one of my husband's friends. Possibly a male chinchilla named Chinchilla from another friend(Anne). My car is clean for once. *loves the usefulness of a good storm* I have a chocolate sable female syrian hamster named Roswell. Two female rats, one a hairless hodded named Star, and a broken tan named Red. Sixteen mice. A tabby calico female cat named Sabi.

My bedroom is almost entirely packed and my livingroom is overflowing with boxes. It's a beautiful day today. We're supposed to go over Allison's to see the place for the first time this weekend. Should be fun. They have 6 dogs: she breeds Austrian Shepards. She's starting up a D&D campaign with us. I should have more time to draw simply because I'll have less time online.

I could probably make this much longer.. but I'll stop now. ^^

My one year anniversary was today. Going out to celebrate it this monday. Either go into Tuscaloosa, AL to the place we went after we were married or to Red Lobster in town. Lobster.. yum!

_{Note: A Romeo catcher is this barbed ring at the tops of poles that hold up what are called 'galleries' (not balconies) in New Orleans. They were found on houses that had teenage daughters. The barbs were there to ward against dear 'Romeo's' attempts to either get into or out of the daughters window. If caught by the barbs more often than not you were injured in some way. The worst case was an unfortunate youth who thought that he could just lean back on the pole and release his hands just as he reached the ring and then quickly grab on just below it. He was spooked by the girls father above him and grabbed right where he had let go from. Needless to say, he lived all of 40 seconds after hitting the ground.}

I've gone through and cleaned up my deviations a bit and removed anything I felt was getting old or that I simple looked at and shuddered. However.. I did notice a major improvement in my overall poses and anatomy. Lines are cleaner in newer works as well.

Several images have been edited or will be reuploaded with newer better pieces.

Also, I'm working on the design of several more sprites. They are so.. tiny. Heh. But surprizingly take me almost as long to do as an actual full sized drawing. I rather like the control you get from drawing an image pixel by pixel. Thinking of it this way should also help me with making mosaics and future icons.

And on a non-art kick: A repairman is over replacing my waterheater. Woo! Water will have wonderfully wonderful heat and not be bitter cold. Ah.

Got some new work coming. Being colored. I'm on burrowed internet time though. Our phone line doesn't get turned on till next week. Ugg..

I've been doodling around with a more detailed yet still simplified style, both with coloring and drawing. It adds some serious depth to my pics. I'll post the first pic like it(updated version of Ni'uki) as soon as the line is up. I miss the blessedness of doing just about nothing but staring at a screen online.

In my happy-hyperness.. I sketched up a quick drawing in ink for Daven and colored it this afternoon. Tis a very quick coloring style I haven't used for a while.

I'm not sure I like the style I usually revent to when I color. Nothing but yellows, blues, and reds.. God I hate yellow... My style is distinct to me, right? Well then why can't I be happy with it? I hate it.. I'd rather do actual anime and stand out in some way instead of suedo-american-drawing that people take one glance at and wander on.. That's not art, damnit. Art is supposed to entertain on some basic level and leave the viewer wanting for more. Art is remembering. It is seeing something that sticks in your head no matter how you try to fill it with other things.

I look around at the galleries here and check out the styles and coloring and I'm in instant awe.

I spent a good chunk of time tonight sketching, inking, and cging 'Gift for Eric - Character Pic'. I'm really quite happy with it. Very Niko Geyer-ish coloring.

I dislike how the boots turned out though and it took conscious effort not to draw another batch of leaves over that whole area.

I'm loving the water. Something seems funny about the angle though, anyone place what it is? First time doing water in a cg though so I'm quite happy anyway.

Kaede looks quite femme.. ug. *needs life-drawing classes badly*

Got a roll of film developed that had to have been in my drawer for a year and a throw-away camera. The first was black and white and I'm still waiting on them. :/ The camera gave up a nice little surprise. Pictures of a painting I did for my uncle. I scanned it with a bit of hassel(the original image was 12 x 14 inches) and fit it together in miniture. You can see it here now: Stretching for Starfish.

Would you turn away from everything you cared for to show that you did? Do you have that strength? To walk away from everything you know is right. I do.

Why do I say these things? Enough with the questions, I'm sure. I say because I have. I have so many times before that I can no longer count. It hurts to give something up. But in giving it up, you grow. As a child gives up a toy to become an adult.

What will I grow into if I gave up my life for such a thing? An angel? A lost soul? Or would I disapear into blackness..

Well, enough of all that poetic(or not) nonsense. But seriously though. If you had the choice what would you give up and what would you ask for in exchange? Hmm?

A second figure appears through the doorway and scoops up the cat. "Silly kitty.. spooking visitors." The figure peers through the screen at you. "Oh hello, I'm Vicki. This is my first post here so don't mind the lack of originality." The cat scrambles down from her arms and disappears out the door.
