I am currently swamped with commissions for the next couple of months, plus I am getting my home in order so I prolly wont have anything new till July the soonest at Florida Supercon. Have a few ideas in mind, so I hope I can get one of them accomplished. Work is slightly less stressful, but life stress is taking its place. Hopefully all will return to normal in a month or 2.

"Florida Photoshoot Weekend" started in 2011 when I wanted to do an entire cosplay photoshoot weekend to see what kind of fun times we could have. This allows everyone to get plenty of shots in with whatever costumes they have at a wide variety of locations all in 1 weekend. Along the way of planning, the :iconcosplaycousins: dubbed it "Shawncon" to make things easier and the name quickly became a heckle from everyone involved. Afest was a whole lot of fun. Very well run con, everyone was nice, and was lucky enough to work with 2 great costumers :icontarapotamus: (Irenes) and :icontifaia: (Riddel) in a Chrono Cross group (I was Glenn) and won best of show! They had a ton of cosplay panels that were actually worth going to. Plus the Anime Dating game was hilarious. Also while in Dallas I hit my 13th-15th Man Vs. Food Restaurants!

Figured it easier explaining here than in person like I do most personal stuff.

I got into costuming to make costumes I wanted to see that I couldnt find already. Unfortunately that list I started 5 years ago is coming to its end and I should be "finished" with it early 2012, and from what I am seeing in video games, comics and anime I have not been seeing any designs I go WOW about that a 33+ year old that is rugged looking can pull off well. With that list ending, the motivation for me is drastically reduced.

I've recently sold a few of my costumes (Kurogane and my Shadow beast), but I still got my Skull Knight costume needing to find a new home to make space. The armor is entirely made from leather, there are about 90 casted pieces on it, and the mask is latex.

I was asking 400 for it but may be willing to make some sort of deal mixing cash and other things I may want. 2010 was an up and down year for me in a lot of ways. Life, Job, and House really took a lot out of me and while I did some nice stuff, I really felt my costumes were a step back from 2009 and 2008. We have been doing the photo shoots for a year and a half and I am really happy to say its been a positive experience for everyone involved. With that said, things have not been exactly perfect, so here are the things I am considering changes. Input is welcomed...

1. Attendance - 27 people is really too much to get everyone the picture they want. I kept the numbers high to make sure the photographers make some money for thier time and to keep the cost low for everyone. These numbers make it hard for everyone to get all the photos they want from each photographer. To fix this, the max allowance for a shoot is 20.
