I'm holding a yaoi fanfiction contest where the winning fic will be turned into a doujin. The reason why I am doing this is because I want to "round out" my doujin series. The way I figure it, if you like it, then other people will like it as well...

For the contest, I will be accepting any and all fanfictions of any series, any rating, of any pairings as long as they are yaoi. And for the actual story, the jucier, the better. I will pay more attention to series that I don't know, since I wouldn't be able to come up with a "storyline" myself. But feel free to submit whatever you like because I may decide to draw it anyways.

The stories that I do know, and entries should be kept to a minimum are: Inuyasha, Slayers, Gundam Wuing and Weiss Kreuz. Anything else is fair game.

As for the winner or winners, if I can't choose or decide to draw more than one, they will get:
-a signed copy of the completed doujin based on their story
-credits as the writer of the story (in the actual book, and on the website when I finally get it up)
-free advertising in the book for their website, ebusiness, et cetera (at the end with the book omake)
-a colored piece of art based on the book (and maybe even a production sheet from the book)
-another doujin of their choice (from my other completed works)

The judging will be solely based on which story I like the best, and what would be the easiest to draw... For the runner-ups, they will also be given a prize and their stories will be kept on file for possible future doujins. And if I do decide to use the story later on, I will send you an email asking if I can use it in the future with possible minor changes (fixing whatever caused it not to win; like being far too long, changing the "background" so it is easier to draw, et cetera) And if this does happen, once again, you will be credited as the writer, and will be sent a free signed copy for your reading pleasure)

The contest will be open for the month of Feburary, and send all stories to hoga0048@algonquincollege.com with "Yaoi Fanfiction Contest" in the heading. The winner will be notified near the end of the first week of March, and I will then start working on the doujin. The prizes will be sent out the beginning of May (or earlier, depending on when I get the books back form the printers) or if you like, I can hand deliver them to you at AnimeNorth where they will be debuted.

Feel free to send in as many different stories as you want, but remember to keep them relatively short as they will only be about 22-24 pages long. If you have any other questions, please feel free to send them to hoga0048@algonquincollege.com with the contest heading in them.

So I'm not too happy, and I can't even reopen the program and continue to work 'cause the same thing will just happen again... and I couldn't even get the codes for teh colors to redo teh pic later. Obviously, I couldn't work on my yaoi doujins with my brothers sitting right there, but I was able to script several of them out and also came up with a few more doujin storylines as well...

And I also made a few improvements to the first part of Thirteen, added some stuff, changed around the order of the character appearances, etc...

On a slightly different note, it has finally lifted! What lifted? My apathy towards cosplay! After being cosplayed-out from the summer and Hallowe'en, I virtually ignored it for two months, and now I'm raring to go again. All it took to motivate me again,was what it took last year as well: dreaming about cosplaying! So now I have everything planned out for next season, all I have to do is "convince" my friends into doing what I want them to do... which is dressing as characters who go with my characters! Yay, I'm so excited! and, when I'm on vacation, i will also have the chance to get started on all my lovely yaoi doujonshi's that i'm gonna sell at animenorth in may. yay drawing on the beach!

kinda sad cause i didn't get to finish that filia, xelloss, oc piccie before i left, and i was really hoping to... damn having to work so bloody much... but at least i got a major big paycheck... that has to go to paying bills... *sigh*

So, now I get to beg my teacher to let me write a make-up final exam, but he probably won't. Not knowing when the exam was isn't that great of an excuse...

But on the brighter side, all my credit card fraud was taken care of, and I was credited $1500 to my visa. so that's very nice... now I can get my button making machine for Anime North AND get a laptop too...

...but still, having to repeat psychology next semester, or next year (I don't think that they offer it as a spring semester course) is really gonna suck... But, oh well. Now I have a story that I can tell to people when I'm old and wrinkly... Anyways, it was a group project... And I was grouped with idiots. They blew off every attempt I made to get together to work on it, and on MOnday, I finally assigned them work to do and to send it to me by midnight Monday night.
So, when I got home from work at 12:30 Monday night/Tuesday morning, they didn't send me anything. No worries, they'll probably send it to me later Tuesday morning.

Well, they didn't. So, all morning/afternoon Tuesday was wasted, and I was working 7pm to 12pm again that night, not leaving enough time to work on it. After spelling it out to them what I wanted them to get for me, they still had "issues" with it.

One person sent me links which were very unhelpful and teh other person only sent me half the information I needed, totally leaving out an entire topic. And I only found this out at 12:30 am when I got home from work. SO, I spent the next 6 hours working on the presentation until 7am, got less than two hours of sleep and then went to school early to meet them. They forgot that we were supposed to meet.

They got there maybe twenty minutes before class started, and I gave them my jump drive to look at teh presentation. And then they had the NERVE to ask ME to help THEM get more pictures for the presentation! And they then went off to get more pictures (maybe four irrevelant pictures at teh most).

And for teh actual presentation, the one guy who sent me the links, he rambled on about stuff that was totally irrevelant to teh powerpoint slides. If you're not going to refer to the slides, why the F*CK did I stay up ALL NIGHT LONG working on it???
And because he wasn't reading the information on the slides, he totaly missed the part about two medications that were used to treat one of the subjects. And of course the teacher HAD to ask about them. The guy who did the reading had no idea 'cause he didn't do the presentation, so I had to answer it. Writing something at 5:00 am makes it a little hard to recall information, so I answered the question WRONG and looked like an IDIOT!

And then the OTHER guy he just read off the slides, which teh teacher really FROWNS upon. And not only did he read off of the slides, he read off of them WRONG! How can you NOT read by the time you are in college???

Anyways, so my group only got 80% on the presentation (it may seem okay, but not when you're an A+ student) and the group member who only sent me the email link had the NERVE to criticize the powerpoint presentation that I made, when he did NOTHING!

...So, I'm not in the bestest moods right now, and to prevent myself from tearing into my group of leeches, I drew a picture venting my frustrations. So now, all I have to do is another picture for another guy at work, and then that's it. No more free pictures.
The hardest part about cging pictures is not mesing up the layers, or the grinding-to-a-halt of my computer, it is my kitten Onyx chewing at the tablet cord, causing it to squiggle, or how she uses *me* to climb up onto things, getting her claws stuck in my leg or swatting at the waistline of my pants causing her to scratch my back. But she's super-cute, so it's all right.
So, now I get to go work on the other "gift art" picture which is also from teh second half of Oceans Apart. Go read it and give me reviews, please?
