I was supposed to go to work today (in case you didn't know, I work a cash register at a Marshalls. I hate it, but it pays for my gas, so I don't have a choice do I? ) So I called up today, asking if I really had to come in (there's literally almost 2 feet of snow down) and she was like "Um, no, don't think so. Only one other person could show up, and we're heavily considering not even opening today."

So uh...yeah, I'm drawing today. That's about it. After inking stuff normally (or with the pen tool) for so long, I decided to give this technique a whirl.

I'll admit, the inking process didn't take long and I was learning as I was going along, but I'm happy with the results considering it's my first time. I had more control over my tablet than I've had in like....ever >.>

School's bugging me, but it doesn't really matter, 'cuz I hate school anyway. And I've only got this year left before college. Can't wait ><;

Oh, and my gf got a DA account! That makes me very happy, mainly because she does amazing art. Trust me, it's awesome stuff ^_- (Once she posts some stuff, I'll link to it)

I'm doing more practice, and I've got buttloads of sketches done waiting to be scanned. I promise a bitchload of pictures soon, but I'm actually gonna start CGing all of them, so they could take longer than I'd like.

Maybe I'll see if I can get my art teacher to grade me based on this stuff so I have less work to do, mainly because I've found that I don't have lots of time to work on my portfolio (and since I'm not an A student, that's kinda what I'm depending on to get into college...). I'm hoping I'll have more and more time as time goes on, but this might be the best option for me.

And I got a car as well, so I'll post pictures of that once it gets back from inspection (It's brakelines were rusted, so they've gotta repair them. I might get it back on Saturday, I hear)

Well, to be completely honest, I was out of DA for like a year, and I don't know shit about what happens around here or what goes on...but I read the protest-thingy, and to me, it seems kinda wishy-washy. Don't post art so you can get him back? Seems kinda antithetical of what you'd be wanting to do...sure, it sends a message, but honestly, not a very good one.

What SHOULD be happening is a violent overthrow ^^ I'm talking molotov cocktails and everything: the works.

Oh, and about the not posting art thing..I'm going to KEEP posting art...why? Mainly because, it's the only portfolio I've got, and for the amount of art I usually post here, it contributes almost NOTHING to this site anyway...therefore, the little bit I DO submit, shouldn't matter ^^

So, to Jark (whoever he is) I hope you find something better, or, better yet, you kick some serious ass and get back in on the game. Good luck, person I do not know.

I'm currently working on a website that's going to house my artwork and stuff, so hopefully, when I get that rolling, I'm going to be setting up a schedule for updating it with a picture once a week

I've got a lot done now, but they're not inked and in pencil still...I'm working out a couple of methods of getting them transfered to the computer with clean line art so i can CG them easily...any ideas? >:3

Well, first of all, school started after the summer, during which I wasn't sitting in front of a computer very much...so, thats the reason for lack of updates then...as for the rest of the year, a combination of school and the drive to start a webcomic really took away my attention (not to mention all the games I've been trying to beat recently. Beat Prince of Persia: Sands of Time AND Metal Gear Solid 3! w00t!)

I've been drawing, but I've noticed I haven't been terribly happy with what I've done...consequently, that's probably why I haven't posted anything...I'm now currently trying to master Photoshop, but that's a chore in itself, and I'm still trying to design my own art portfolio site (which will hopefully be up soon...)

All in all, my excuses are lame. I know you really don't care (hell, not alotta people are exactly READING this anyway...to the few that are, I salute you)

Anyway, I'm going to scour my hard-drive for anything of interest that I feel like posting...but its all gonna be raw, really not-to-cleaned-up sketches until I can figure out my software and use it to the best of my abilities (where the fuck is Illustrator when I need it? -.-; )

Its because of these numnuts I have been without internet for the past 2 FREAKIN' WEEKS!!

The only way I'm actually doing this is because my friend is most gracious enough to let me use his PC....urge to destroy world....RISING...

Anyway, thats my explination....but it got me thinking: can people truely be so incompetant? I mean, we've called them like SIX TIMES, and they've all said, "oh, we didn't know there was a problem" and they have a FREAKING COMPUTER SYSTEM BUILT TO SENSE THESE KIND OF PROBLEMS!!!!

*pantpantpant* Okay, I'm calm...

...anyway, after speaking to them on the phone, I've come to the conclusion that people like that really shouldn't work...AT ALL...I mean, if you don't know ANYTHING about ANYTHING, why are you there?
