This past monday, we had what could truly count as a monsoon storm (unlike some past rains that we've had). I was just calmly sitting in the living room with my brother, and we were talking about one thing or another and then all of a sudden, I just got up midsentence...and walked straight out the door. Lol, I really can't say why, but it was awesome! It had the same effect as standing underneath a waterfall, the rain was so heavy. Well...actually it would have to have been a sideways one because the rain was actually coming down horizontally due to the wind.

hehee, maybe I'm just too easily amused, but I thought it was one of the best things since sliced bread. XD

I'm actually kind of hoping that it'll rain like that again tonight

In other news, school's started again and once more my butt is owned by the system.

It sucks.

But then again, I've gotten to see a lot of my friends again, which is great. Lol, especially since I spent the greater portion of my summer break as a hermit (I've been working on artses I swear!). I have discovered that my scanner no longer works though...which sucks to an awesome degree that I can't really describe with words. It is teh suck. *Beats scanner with a limp and smelly fish*

Rawrg...so yeah, don't expect to much from me (unless it's all photoshopped but that's not likely to get done in a timely manner). At least until my scanner is fixed.

Just to bug you though, I've finished a portrait of Kestra (Violinist of Hameln), and a character concept or two. ^_^ All of which I'll be posting when I get my thingehnabobber fixed.

Merr...well maybe not the Kestra pic. I think I'll wait and submit it coupled with a pic of Pandora that I just started (It's being inked atm).

My whole thing is about living life to its fullest. I believe that the reason humans exist, is to experience the world and all of its emotions and ideas and everything to the extent that we can. And I'm not just saying everything 'good and fuzzy' noooo...I believe that even the pitfalls in life can turn out to be a good thing in the end. If nothing else, they are a learning experience to live by. I just think that it's a complete waste, to sit and dwell on the bad times...I've learned that you just gotta let it go and move on, and keep living you know?

I guess you could say that I'm finally at peace with where I'm at in life, and that I'm ready, and able to take anything that it throws at me.

Yup, my little vacation was very awesome. We went up to Missouri to visit family and friends and I don't think we could have packed the two weeks any fuller with stuff!

The first week was spent with my mom's side of the family. Which was pretty cool, I got to see my great grandmother (she looks great for her age

). And then we went to Silver Dollar City, which is pretty much Disneyworld with hilbillies. Then we completely surprised my grandma by renting two rvs and staying the night in the woods (then taking her to the Roy Rogers/ Dale Evans museum).

She was pleased. lol

Towards the end of the week, my family drove up to St. Louis, which was by far my favorite part of the whole vacation. XD We stayed in the Adam's Mark hotel and got one of the best views I could have ever imagined! The hotel sits just off the highway in downtown St.Louis...in front of the Arch, and we were on the 10th floor looking straight at it. It was awesome!

Then we went to the art museum and the science museum. THe art museum was really great; it was three floors in this old stone building (high domed cielings and everything) and they let you take photography inside! Hehehehe, so we have a whole bunch of pictures of different artwork.

Mmm....*thinks* Then we drove to all the places that we used to live in the St. Louis area. Which was really cool because I was only about two years old at the time and I still remembered parts of it! My parents were also very enthused because they got to hang out with their very first neighbors. lol We actually spent a lot of time with them now that I think about it. o_o

After St. Louis we travelled back to Springfield (4 hours...ugh) and visited my dad's side of the family.

And that pretty much sums up my vacation.

That...or maybe it's the art show coming up. Haha...you'd think I'd be happy about it seeing as I have art showing, but honestly I feel terrible. I can't help but think that people I know are loosing faith in their own talents because of me. Seriously, I have never heard so many people say "I hate you" or "I'm going to chop off your hands" in my life. I guess it means I'm good...but sometimes I just wish that everyone would just concentrate on themselves and making themselves better, than envying someone else.

It's been a very long month, well at least last month was. I kinda forgot it's July now XD On the 20th I went up to an art institute in Phoenix. It was kinda like a week long art camp thingy. Very cool beans, I even made new friends! woo! *spins in chair* Now I'm even more obsessed with Hellsing XD I'm so sad...

Blarg that reminds me of the dream I had a few nights ago >.<
I dreamed I was at the art camp, sorta, only it was in downtown Chicago...and there was this scary old fart selling weird metal objects in the dorm hallways.
So, figuring this place was not the best place to be for an easily frightened 16 yr old girl, I ran off. Eventually, I found the Crown Plaza and ran inside to ask for directions. Where? I did not know...I just wanted directions, and the lady behind the desk kindly pointed me in the right direction.
SO I grabbed all my stuff, stuffed them inside my coat like Mary Poppin's bag and ran off down this dark alleyway that had a whole bunch of drunken rennaiscence (god I can't spell) people. And that's when I saw the church...>_< Much to my surprise, I was given directions to the church of Alexander Anderson. From there it got very strange...something about a giraffe and an asian funeral proscession. hehe...but anyways

I'm so good at wasting peoples time aren't I? *sigh*

I should probably get back to drawing my picture...I hafta get it done before Tuesday I think O.o;;

ahahah I'm such a lazy ass. Yah, so I had to do a quarter's worth of math homework before 12:20 on Friday. Maahn did that suck. I honestly would have started working on it a few days before...but colorguard tryouts got in the way

. I decided I would try something new and well...It chew me up, spit me out, and then sat on me u_u In other words, I sucked so bad it was laughable

but hey, at least I learned how to do a successful single toss

that was my main goal. lol woo! hahah but yeah, I"m so sore from the clinics. We had to do all this weird streching exercises...to make us all graceful like. Reason number one I never felt obliged to go into ballet. >.< I'm not graceful and I can't touch my toes.

*sigh* oi....Well....at least it's over

In other news, I'm not going to be able to be on deviant art very often for a while. >.< I've been told I can't use the computer for art related needs until I clean my room...<.< You people have never seen my room (except for two of you who have braved the moster at least once

I must say that I've never done so much stuff in such a short amount of time. O_o; We drove out to San Diego on the 9nth, booked our hotel room, and the bummed around Mission Beach untill it got dark. hahah I nearly ran this poor dude over

it was hilarious. Over the course of the week we:
*visited family
*went to the zoo (which is so huge it might as well have it's own zip code)
*went to the beach just about every day
*took a harbor cruise (*sings* a three hour tour!

)
*visited MORE family
*drove up the coast to LA
*Spent the night on the Queen Mary (Where I, after learning it was supposedly *very* haunted, didn't sleep much thinking that ghosts were gonna come and scare the crap out of me...little did they know they succeeded

)
*Visited the famed Laguna Beach (Yay Laguna!! lol most beautiful beach I've ever seen)
*And drove through some oober scary parts of California in the Saltan Sea area (it's all desert, and it looked like the towns had been abandoned since the 20's

but then again that might have just been me still scared of the Queen Mary)

Yep, I've never been so afraid of a boat in all my life

We took the Ghosts and Legends tour while we were there, and little did I know, but it was set up like a haunted house. I don't do so well in haunted houses n_n;;;; especially when it's on a boat that greatly reminds me of The Shining and my old elementary school. Hahah I had my eyes closed pretty much the entire time

that is untill my mom yelled "Look! It's Johnny Depp in a DRESS!!" that got me to look

After going through that, and hearing that the stories told were those told amongst the employees of the ship and believed to be true, I was terrified the rest of the night (and into the next day). Lmao it was great though, since we were staying the hotel, we got to run around the ship as we so pleased

I think it was the M deck though that wasn't refurbished yet...and it was oober creepy. O_o; we were all by ourselves in this narrow hallway going towards the prow of the ship, and it was very dimly lit with yellow striped wallpaper from the 60s and an unfinished ceiling. Maybe I'm just easily frightened

lol but yah, it was fun.

I was going to get it from the back room, because I forgot and suddenly had a quite frightening image of my friend beating me over the head with a burning stick, thus motivating me to get it. BUT in my distress, I forgot that it was moved from the futon..to the floor...and I tripped over it, landed with my face within centimeters of the pointy corner of an end-table, and broke my toe. XP Not pleasant. I have never looked at that blasted book the same way since. I just watched Hellsing for the umpteenthe time since yesterday afternoon *^_^* I wuv that movie soooo much now w00t!

ALthough....There's a few things that irked me.

1) Anderson's voice (sorry Jackotheofool) I wasn't exactly expecting him to be scottish, and the coke I was drinking nearly made a detour through my nose. Giggle

2) The subtitles...some of them didn't make sense O_o

so I spent the night correcting them. but that's okay! ^_^;; It was kinda fun! :D (Big Grin)
