[NOTHING/REAL] was promoted

this event, and I took over
the main wall to showcase
the series.

Four pieces sold in total:
Creature of Emotion, the
largest central piece,
Untitled, and two copies
of Transformation.

Each image was framed by
a handmade, unique textured,
decayed-looking backdrop,
in warm tones to match the
color balance of the images
themselves.

I just have to say I am very excited,
and feel extremely honored
and equally surprised.

I just wanted to comment a bit
on my personal inspiration and process.
I recently felt the weight of my own body,
I mean, a pristine awareness of it.
I was tired, dizzy, and cold.
Crawling under the covers to find shelter
in my own warmth, I felt it.
I felt skin on muscle on organ on bone on flesh.
I was inspired.
Too many individuals, for whatever reason,
get coaxed into loathing their physical manifestations,
I myself have had my trouble at times,
living with this silly weird thing we humans
call our bodies.

I encourage everyone to embrace theirs as I have,
both strengths and weaknesses alike.

SHOWCASE PDX:
we are doing a lot of events,
parties, and photoshoots this month,
so i will be extremely busy with that.

SICK:
xyris and i are helping to decorate, plan,
and will be performing at the
quarantine dance night this weekend.
we just went on a shopping spree;
we were like kids in a candystore
at sanderson's safety supply
and andy & bax's surplus store.
next month, i will be showing a portion of
my human progression series next month
for the canni-ball theme night.
i am very proud and very excited.

MOVING:
xyris and i will be moving downtown within
the next two months. i am very happy about this.

DEAD CELL:
xyris has concluded that we will be able
to release the dead cell demo within
the next couple of months.
so keep an eye on me;
a full new band series will be coming your way.

INJEKTED:
we are fully geared up and prepared to start
playing regular shows this winter...
and there may even be a future show in LA.

MODELING:
i've gotten a lot of modeling offers
in the past months that i have turned down due to
either my inability to make schedules line up
or simply my intense focus on my own photography...
but i think i want to do a bit more this winter...
if i can fit it in SOMEWHERE! haha

Many opportunities have recently come
knocking on my door... and it's refreshing.
Last Wednesday, I got fitted for a photo shoot
for Spartacus. Yesterday, the shoot lasted 7 hours.

7 hours!

I had a lot of fun. The Photographer was Roger
from Circle 23. He is amazing. Very fun to work with.

Last night I stayed out all night at Sick,
a disko dance party I go-go at for my friends
at Robot Piercing ad Tattoo.

Thus, due to 15 straight hours of intense physical
stress and activity, I am sore.
You try and dance in nearly 7 inch platforms
ON A 2FT WIDE PLATFORM keeping your balance for
4 hours to hardcore/electro-clash/dance music.

Anyway...
I will be getting involved in a number of events,
groups, and venue in the VERY NEAR future...

but i don't want to spoil the surprise.

I know I have not been as active lately...
I have been incredibly busy.

I modeled a bit last week.
There's an event coming up this week I'm attending.
Next month is my 2 year anniversary with Xyris,
we are going to Seattle to celebrate and do
a ton of shooting. TONS.

I have not been posting because Xyris and I are
building the biggest, most extravagant set
we have ever done.
It is taking a lot of detail handwork...
And large portion of our living room.

I know the effort will be
well worth it.

MUSIC:
i'm in the process of writing lyrics for [Injekted], my fiance's industrial project...and as soon as i get my midi controller i'll be writing/playing synth, too.
there's a possibility i may start a side music project, part digital and part live sound, me on vocals. it's xyris' idea really, we haven't decided on which instruments it will include or who else will play...so we'll see.

PHOTO:
xyris and i are regularly collaborating now on nothing/real's photo sets. i'm really happy with the way my work has progressed.
you may have noticed that i have watermarked my photos just recently. i used to in the past, but inconsistently. i chose to do this because of the high increase of traffic to my DA account. i have also take it a step further, i won't say how but i promise you i will know if you steal my work so just don't. i only regret not doing it sooner but hopefully i shouldn't have a problem.
what do you think of the new logo? NR for Nothing Real, hence the null sign in the center.

WORK:
in the near future, i will be transfering to the adobe photoshop contract here at work, i cannot fucking wait. the tasks will be simple and specialized, and i will be able to work on photos all day long!!!

LOVE:
xyris and i are doing better than ever. he is working less now and so we have more time together as a result. hence the increase in cross-collaboration between our art forms. with past negative influences out of our lives for good, we are able to work out everything. it's strange, how fate has brought us together again and again over the past years, almost five now. fate brought us together, introduced us, showed us our soul mates. then we were torn apart. but fate didn't give up. for three years, fate brought us together over and over, each time our passion as ardent as before... now we are together, finally, for good, and nothing can tear us apart. every day i am eternally appreciative of him in my life. everyday he does little sweet things for me and tells me how much he loves me, and everyday i love him more.

well, updates.
my birthday party was indeed
successful, fun, and satisfing.
everyone that turned out had a great time,
and my request for merriness in my name
was fullfilled. no pictures, unfortunately,
but that's due to the fact that
when i am under the influence,
i avoid my camera, for it's own safety.
i'm not one to take kitchy drunken snapshots anyway.
they're only good for friendly myspace humiliation,
nothing more.

as for art....
i have a ton of ideas brewing.
i have some new props, some new models,
and i will be manifesting all of this very soon.
just you wait.

i thought i had been spared,
to have only came down with something earlier on this season...
but winter is throwing one last bit my way...
and i shall persevere.
my love got me some medicine and now
i'm drinking tea and napping.

and speaking of love, things are looking up.
i know there are a lot of people out there who wish
for the demise of our happiness, and would
try and do anything to see out their selfish and immature plans.
but him and i have faith.
he's not moving out, like people wish he would.
for awhile both of us considered space as an option
but we agreed that staying together and
not letting anyone get in our way is best.

hahaha i love the zoo.
all the ugly animals and their resemblance to
ugly people we know!!!!

justin and i are working on tons of new projects...
you will be amazed.

anyway, i feel like i'm putting up a fight for everything
in my life right now. i'm getting ready to advance at work
after only being there for a couple months. it's a tiring job,
but i can't complain. and i'm duking it out with this sickness,
and i'm protecting the one thing that matters most in this world
to me. all of this effort pays off...because no one can take
away my happiness.
