But anyway - AP final yesterday over my book? It went swimmingly.

I feel more confident to complete Nightmare Syndicate than I have in four years. FIVE years. To see adults with dropped jaws over what I'm pursuing and my process, and classmates jaws dropped and just... me feeling nervous and vulnerable... I felt amazing. To have my old CA teacher come up and just start talking to me about seeing me in class working on this freshmen year - he remembered it. I MEAN COME ON. THAT'S COOL - TO ME AT LEAST.

I feel vulnerable when I'm talking to a crowd - I mean. I'm putting MY BRAIN on the line for you to take a whack at and crack my ideas. I mean, someone could tell me flat out - "Your idea is shit" and I would probably have no back up to tell them THEY'RE full of shit. Then again every year at our art show I blow everyone away with my yabbering about stories and pieces. In a way it bothers me to be in AP this year because no one has stories. Okay so my book. It's cut into 3 or 4 chapters so far.
Each one is titled, and has three subchapters. I might change this.
So my question is: Should every CHAPTER have a fullpage illustration? And what are your thoughts on the same for subchapters - or half pages? In chapter one and who it works out decently to not mess up my flow.

So I'm working on all this shit related to my book, and slacking off everywhere else. I'm starting page one today though.
I was wondering what you guys literally think I should do for it. I'm going to be uploading some pages for sure, and I know MINUS the speech bubbles, I'm thinking of uploading the entire 10 or so page prologue and maybe once every so many pages?

Nightmare Syndicate is a GO! I'm working on the cover and Felix's character sheet should be up - hopefully - before Thanksgiving, but no later than Christmas! I think this week, I'm going to print off Segment One. It's complete, and go ahead and start working out panels, angles and etc. Gotta work out room layouts and all that good stuff. No one is excited as much as me! Except maybe Hokuto haha.

I'm gonna do those 5 nubs soon I just gotta scribble references and I can do it during my TA block this week :] Ima do them in color I hope! I need to reinstall my scanner and get all that shit off the top of it - AH! so disorganized!

Mr. Villa, my bio teacher, is commissioning me and has been for the year 8D so I cannot fulfill any until after May 29th. Atliana, yours is finished but I need to do a lot of color adjusting. I felt like drawing your character the other day. Ibb I did Max for our art trade from forever ago, and I will upload that soon.

FUN MATTERS:
I am getting an art site soon called Poisonous-Mars :]
Marshall is my mascot, he will have a page dedicated to ALL about Marshall.
The double feature of this will be that Marshall is the star of a book. For my senior year I will be in AP Studio for the third time in a row. I have my 5 so it's going to be an Independent Study block. In this year I am going to draw and write a book titled Plastic Stars which will tell the story about Marshall and his search for a real friendship.

I'm enjoying this project too as I am giving artists I am friends with the opportunity to make a piece of this publication. :] Each planet is made by a friend or is a collaboration with friends.
But sadly I am a few short! If you would like to show interest and help feel free to. But all designs are due by the end of May or mid June if there is a good reason :]

AP IS FINALLY OVEEEEEEEEEEER!
I'm so happy. So when I am less tired and more able and willing I will upload all my concentration pieces, and see about getting my art from my breadth portfolio last year. Last year my stuff was nice!

But anyway, tonight I start writing Nightmare Syndicate over again with this FINAL plot. I have to design Siali's friends and then I can start.

Tonight I start work on my pile of commissions.
And I hope when Spring starts some people will fucking start on the ones I am owed. I have been ripped off $75 so far. I'm a little pissed, but I'm polite enough not to get pissed off at them just yet :/

Yeah so, just a few things on my mind today, I'm exhausted so pardon my incoherence.
1) I really hate when you do nothing to someone and yet, they hold some reason to dislike you, or be an asshole in blunt ways. Man, wtf honestly?

2) I will be very inactive until the end of April/May. Sorry guys! But also, with all the people who are watching me since I put out Cassiopeia? I'm kind of let down with the ACTIVENESS of all those people. It's kind of disheartening. Like really, I get excited and then have to realize - half those people don't give a damn and have like 400 artists on their watchlist. But that's me bitching about deviantART and whining about how I'M SO UNLOVED right?
Shit no. I don't mean it that way. It'd just be nice to know you all exist and what you think. Feedback to know if maybe I should do more pieces like Collision or maybe if you think something needs to be worked on.

I mean, I joined here to show off in the beginning but now...I'd kind of like to know what's good or bad about my art. But then again, that asks a lot out of dA sometimes huh?

3) I hope you all like my AP stuff I will upload at a later date. My watchers better get it together and give me some feedback - I'm going to need it incase this lump of a portfolio fails me this year! Improving and all!

4) I was wondering if anyone knows any interesting painting methods for photoshop or painter, like does anyone have any favorite tutorials or styles? I've been experimenting lately on Felix and I'm just interested. I've been keeping up with looking at a few old old friends I no longer talk to and am still just in pure LOVE with their speed painting styles.
And yet I cant' find something that works well enough for me. My speed is still in my sketching methods. Hrm :/

Black Paradise is a STUPID title.
The comic itself, in short, is about:
- Siali is one of those wannabe rebellious teenagers, the ones who are all "Screw the system!" but when confronted about it, they're a pansy. The kids I mock. ACT TOUGH and are real pansies. I love her though.
- Felix is a dream god, modern day Morpheus I suppose? Who dabbles in making nightmares and pisses his superiors off. He gts banished to this place Lyrinx and discovers some shit.

Siali is his tool to collect items to appease Sira the gate watcher, and create the doorway out. Siali FIGHTS monsters and puzzles for these items. She runs from shit, she gets attacked. SHE BLEEDS ALL OVER.

It's intense.

ON TOP of that WOW is it hard thinking up Felix's man!Creature mode. Not so much entertaining and straining on my imagination on what works becuase ;; Felix, you are so near and dear to me and SO GORGEOUS UGH.

I totally have this 'castle' thing planned out AND IT'S NOT A CASTLE. More like an indoor maze, with the center being his throne room, surrounded by beasts and MANY trials for Siali to pass <3 I'm excited to write this story once I knock the kinks out.
I think it'll be really visually pleasing and even exciting if I get the pacing and INBETWEENS done.

So I think I'm going to have to stela some of the characters away and put them in their own thing and maybe do another some other time.

On the topic of them though, I'm thinking of doing a short comic maybe...10 pages? Of the five of them playing video games or something. Joanna and I talked about Tuna's love of video games and I sprung the idea and we worked it out all silly like. I love the idea now.
So I'm gonna try to get a comic sketched, inked, and colored. This should be an expirience for me. I havent' done a comic in forever. And if this pulls off nicely I may just start Black Paradise.

WHICH IS AMAZING. I still need to create monsters and situations and puzzles for Siali ( the hard part) but the plot is pretty much all planned out and I jsut have to write it ;___; <3 Felix is a badass. SO MUCH SO.


But yeah. COMICS LOLOLOLOLOLOL.
I need to buy a subscription and get some to do lists written up man.

And if I go dormant on everyone it's because uh..I have 3D portfolio next year and I'll be focusing on that. Hopefully I'll have photos of WIP in my scraps from timne to time. I might do some in a while of Mango!Jack. I need to remake one of his hands and finish his face and rescuklpting.

I have the best friends in the world too. SOOOOOOO many people bought things from me and Katie wants ot buy some, Motko and Jenni and a few others too.

I spent $106.79 on prints, I got $120 from 4 people tonight. I treated John and Joanna to Buger King haha SHUT UP I'M CHEAP AND WE ALL ENJOYED IT AND THE HAPPY PIE.

I got three awards though <3 I got best in show on Mankind's Disease, First place for SOMETHING and Student's Choice for Skip Divided.

I'll be uploading stuff to deviantART later this week when I have time. Right now though I'm going to cuddle up in bed with my Dimitri puppy and read a book or just SLEEP.
It feels so good to SLEEP lately.

I think I'll doodle SHITLOADS of Cod and Mango tommorow. I feel up to it most definately.

I'm 1/3 the way there. Also decided I'm not going to do the Mango BF contest. Joanna dropped by earliar, we stopped by Burger King together and were there for about two hours just hanging out laughing. I haven't hung out with her much lately.

ANYWAY sometime earliar this year she made a character named Tuna Phish and he and Mango are...SOMEHOW super good friends. We have lots of fun using them in stories for school and assignments here and there. That's what you use characters for afterall right?

Well she's planned to make him a brother. That's what we did. Mango's new beau <3 he's neat.

If anyone is interested in a contest? Design Mango a boyfriend, I know some of you are going to have Spring Break next week or next month. It's a running contest not OFFICIALLY started yet but it's going to run until Summer so I'll have time for prizes or making up my own idea.

If you want to take part, the firstp lace so far is like...3-5 requests in my painter doodles or ONE BIG SUPER FINALIZED AWESOME PIECE or two. Depends what you want. And it dwindles down from there, for 3-5 places. Depending on the participants if any :/

If you take part, design him, he must be cute and personality must fit. I'll post some funny ad about Mango at some point, like a want ad. Any questions on him though, Note me or IM me I guess.
