Unfortunately, that's not exactly how my life is going to be for a while. For the last few weeks, I have been wrapped up in registering at the local community college for dual-credit classes this coming fall. I still have to schedule an orientation program, besides juggling work, vacations, and a dozen other projects I want to do. 'Busy' doesn't describe the half of it.

So dA will probably be less of a priority in my life for a while. However, you won't find me 'offline for 1w, 2d, 14 min, 7 sec'. I'll still be online fairly often.

We're exhausted, but it was lots of fun and we can't wait to do it again.

AND WE FINALLY GOT HOLD OF THAT WII!!!!!! I'm gonna see if I can install it today and am looking forward to playing it!

I also forgot to say that I am the new co-admin of the Artistic-Jewelry Club and am having a real ball doing it! If you're a jewelry artist, go ahead and join up! I won't bite!

I'm not really in an artistic slump at the moment, but I'm not on a high either. If anybody wants to try and get me off my butt, feel free!

It's been a record-breaking 102 degrees out here every day, and I have been and will be playing soccer in it 'til Saturday. Talk about SWEATY.

Commissions are going nicely, particularly now that I am taking part in the Artisan Crafts Club Exchange Corner to trade off for new supplies and such. It's been fun! I will also be using a pendant made by *Glori305 for a contest entry here on deviantART. I hope it'll be a winner! And since it's Artisan Crafts Week next week, I offered to help ^Myana with the all the dA 'festivities'. If you wanna help, (she needs all she can get) note her or ^Kitten-of-Woe; they're the ones in charge!

OH YEAH, and I'm getting a Wii!!!!!!!!!!! I would have one already, but all the stores are OUT. Oh well. I'll wait.

I also just traded the purple version of 'Starburst' with my 22nd watcher, *Glori305, so it looks like I'll have to make more pretty soon! I've finished two jewelry pieces today and am entering in two contests: one's a club contest and the other by *dragonstar10. First off, I want to apologize to all the great deviants I watch whose art I haven't been very good about commenting on lately. And since the faves have been rolling in on my photos from deviants I don't even know, I feel I owe the art of the deviants I do know at least some recognition. So I promise to look at it as soon as I can find the time, and I WILL get to it, just please be patient with me.

Not that I have a whole lot of time on my hands right now. I have a commission for ~Oukami-shoujo that I'm working on - an amethyst version of Desert flower. Soccer season is wrapping up with games throughout this weekend, and then every Saturday is booked from there as I raise money for my San Antonio trip. I have a practice SAT test next weekend as well, go with a classmate of mine next Friday to meet with a Spanish major at a local university, as well as juggle at least another three tests in store for me next week - all in different subjects. Then it's clothes shopping, making more jewelry to sell, work on the side, college courses for dual credit, soccer camp, the San Antonio trip with Misty, Chris, and Collin, visit relatives in Arkansas, (not a single one in Texas. go figure) and so on, and so on... you get the picture. And before I know it, it'll be fall again.

But besides that, I've been joining a lot of jewelry and crafts clubs lately - I'll be posting the links to 'em at the bottom. I'm really excited about the exposure my stuff will get and need to submit some deviations pronto.

Like tests, for instance. I've had tests in biology, geometry, and another two in Spanish. All in one week. ICK. To make things even more fun, I have another big SAT practice test coming up in a week or two. Whoopeeee-do.

And have I ever mentioned how I hate clothes shopping? In itself, I don't mind it, but I have very serious objections to all-day 'excursions'(that's what it feels like). And that's another thing I have to do, because I happen to need the clothes. And that makes it even worse. 'Cause if I didn't, I could easily get out of it. Grrr.

But to look on the bright side, I have had some fun this last week. I am also trying to earn money for a new mp3 player (hopefully an ipod this time!) and to cover my expenses for a week-long trip to San Antonio this summer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed when they're not busy with needle-nosed pliers so wish me luck!

I did a commission for ~KermitTX (and therefore for the recipient) last Christmas. Now I borrowed it (if it wasn't Kermie I'd never be able to pull a stunt like this.) and took few pretty passable pictures of it with ~Love-da-mustang as my model! She did a great job, and I will be posting the pics in just a sec.

Jewelry-wise, I'm still trying to figure out a way to buy supplies, sell, and keep a few without ending up in the hole. It's not gonna be easy - especially since I love to keep my stuff. (No bragging-ishness intended.)

Otherwise, I'm feeling a bit wrung-out dishrag-ish. I've had at least 3 tests this last week and ALL on different subjects. Ick. Hopefully this week will be a bit better.

Just a quick update - ~Love-da-mustang and I are in the middle of a deviation photo shoot/scanning/uploading session! I just finished a slave-style bracelet (my first stab at this style!) for a contest entry and I'm very happy with it! If you don't get what I'm talking about, don't worry - I'll be posting it today!

I also did unlock the final LEGO Star Wars stage! My brother is a comfortable green and had a blast playing dual-player mode with me - even though we had to shut off the game before finishing the level in order to watch one of our favorite oldie-goldie TV shows. No matter. I'll finish it later. For now, I'm satisfied with unlocking that stage.

Also, I now have over 400 pageviews and 11 watchers!!!! YAY!!!!!!! Thanx so much guys!!!!

That's it! I'm off to model again - hopefully the lighting will cooperate this time.

Spring break is always over too soon, but all in all being back in school this week hasn't been so bad. My Internet server went down last night, and my dad was up 'til past 2:30am trying to fix it... Just now I went and plugged in a few cables and poof! Server's up again. Magic huh?

Since basically everybody who sees my username can tell I'm an LOTR freak, I had the supreme pleasure of borrowing the Children of Húrin from my friend (Seeing as I don't have it among the household LOTR collection yet). I read the whole thing in a matter of hours, which seemed like only a few minutes since I love to read and easily lose track of the time. It was as good as a tragedy gets, and added quite a few more facts to my LOTR memory cache. Not that I try to memorize it, though.

Mom probably thinks I'd do better memorizing the vocabulary words for the science tests I've got coming up - especially the quarter final next Friday. Ick! Wish me well...

Deviations have been a bit of a problem lately, since I normally modify my photos with Adobe Photoshop before submitting them. Trouble is, the program is installed on only one computer, and that's my dad's - every time I jiggle the mouse to get the computer out of standby mode, up pops the little box requiring the password he has conveniently refused to tell me. Locked out! I'm in agony.

It's that jellybean season of the year, and I hope everybody's enjoying it! Since it's one of the few times of the year I am allowed a lot of suger, I am living it up! Doughnuts for lunch, jellybeans for snack, dessert for dinner, etc. But hopefully no stomachache. Bleh.

I'm still feeling pretty lazy... I did take a picture of the 'twisted glimmer' necklace before handing it over to ~KermitTX, but the lighting is so horrible I can't bring myself to post it. But provided my information is correct, ~Love-da-mustang is now ready to model! I have my digicam ready...

I have now reached the landmark of ten watchers and over 300 pageviews! Not bad for a member of little more than a month! I was also just accepted as a member of the Artisan Crafts Club, and I am flat out on the floor. I'm very much looking forward to broadening my horizons and getting more skilled at the stuff I do already!

For those with interests like , we borrowed that Lego Star Wars game from a friend and I am about to unlock the final stage! So much for my lil' brother always telling me I don't know how to play this game... He erased my saved game three times and I was red-hot mad at him for it, but hey! Ah well, such is the price of camping, even in one of those pop-up campers. The first and third night I slept well, but the second I spent the night in a tent with Misty and a couple other girls. And let me tell you, it is NO fun. I spent the night half-awake/half-asleep and curled into a ball against the cold. When I woke up at about eight something in the morning, I snagged a fleece blanket from one of the other girls and spent about another half-hour sitting up in bed and blinking like a bleary-eyed owl; stiff, sore, and desperately trying to warm up. All the while envying Collin his travel trailer with the heated mattress. Urgh.

And now that I'm up after an early-morning hello from my German Shepherd, I come home to homework, lunch, and a stack of deviations to comment on! (last part's the best, but my growling stomach disagrees. And breakfast WAS hours ago) Reminds me that I've been procrastinating again... can't help it. I really need to get going and put some pictures up, so somebody please gimme a shove!

If all that isn't enough, my sunburn and I are due for a photo shoot of my soccer team today - right when all I wanna do is crash and be a couch potato. My coach is dead meat.

Well, that about covers it. Now I've got to get off my butt, unpack, hit the shower and wash the campfire smoke out of my hair. Once my sis gets out of the bathroom, that is.

I finished 's commission and it turned out so loverly!!!!! I almost hate to sell it to him...XD. Now I am going to try a live model shot of it featuring either me or Misty WHO IS BACK FROM NEVADA!!!! YAY!!!! Should be great if the fluorescent lighting does its job. I just don't know how to do solid backgrounds with a computer or something. If anybody knows of a program like that it would be GREAT.

One way , , and I celebrated Misty's return to Texas was a Saturday spent at Enchanted Rock with our youth group! A little background for those who don't live in central Texas is probably in order: Enchanted Rock is more like a small mountain of solid granite, but there are a series of caves that make eerie sounds when the wind whistles across the openings and stuff. Hence, the superstitous Indians of yesteryear called it Enchanted Rock, and the name stuck. At any rate, I guess a sunburn is the price I pay for having lots of fun rock-hopping and a bit of splunking with the more adventurous (or too insane to be cautious. XD) Gray-Wolf13. HE wasn't the one that slipped on the wet granite and smacked his butt. But am I complaining...? Anyway, I wish I could have gone further in BUT better equipped with more flashlights and a jacket since it does get a little frigid down there. (Wanting to do something Collin does, mmm-mmm, I must be losing it.) lol. I just like to pick on you don't I Collin? XD You're the best!

Needless to say, we're all very very glad to have Misty back. I am going to get her to model sometime this week sunburn or no sunburn. Maybe a bottle of Aloe Vera gel will help her take the hint?

Misty, Collin and I are also going camping with a bunch of other buddies this weekend and are expecting to have a blast! I promise not to have too much fun...

And wow! 'Indigo allure' seems to hold quite a charm! ALL FIVE OF YOU GUYS FAVED!!!!!! Waaaay too nice of ya'll! I am also doing my best to get deviations up but time is slipping through my fingers - grrrr.

The live models idea is lining up quite well though. has agreed to model when she gets back from Nevada. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd like to do some modeling myself, but will have to make sure somebody else is behind the camera. You see, I don't think putting it on a timer and then dashing over in front to pose, coming back and finding that the focal point is totally off center is a good idea...lol.

I also found out I DID have the materials for the earrings has been bugging me about... blonde moment... But I did start on a new pair of them already and will try to get a pic of them up this weekend. Needless to say, I will not need to borrow 's commission. BUT I do still need the commission I did for you if I'm going to photograph it - I'll call you Wednesday afternoon so forgetting IS NO EXCUSE!!!!!!

Meanwhile I am doing another commission for - I think this will be one of my best yet! Hope I can take a shot of it that really does the set credit - fluorescent lighting will be a MUST. Live model or no guys?

Meanwhile I am looking a lot more at the future than I used to. While I am not currently doing any commissions right now via deviantART, if this jewelry thing can take off I want to set up a website and rent a post office box; probably even make it into an official business. If so, a business administration course in college sounds definitely in order. At any rate, I am lining up electives by doing my crafty kind of hobbies and may even take a course in photography. Man, life wasn't nearly this complicated five years ago!

Ya'll have always been so patient with me as I muddle through all the ins and outs of devART and so encouraging as I post mediocre photos of my stuff. And I love ya'll for it!!!

I am also trying to figure out a better variety of backdrops for my photos...black silk does contrast well with sterling silver but it gets a little boring after a while. Using live models also sounds like a good idea... chances are I will have to when I start posting shots of the clothing stuff I've done anyway.

I finished a cool-looking necklace a day or two ago and wore it yesterday...It got a lot of admiring comments so I'm going to post a picture of it once I decide what kind of backdrop to use...live or no? I think I'll sleep on it.

and , I'd like to post the pictures of those commissions I did for you at Christmas. Is it possible that I could borrow the pieces for a couple days or will the people you gave them to have a fit?

I have finished the aforementioned pair of flip-flops and am considering taking a digital photo of them... they did turn out cute.

Concerning my fantasy novel The Dragon Star (title copyrighted), reading the comments on *Wiseoldhobbit's Path of Legends reminds me that if I think badly about what I've written, then all the more reason to submit it for professional opinion. But I dunno... reading other people's work always manages to shrink mine down to size. But I'm wondering: if I do, should I edit it first or save myself the bother by submitting and then editing according to the advice I get? Feedback, guys?

I guess that's it. Any comments or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Being the way I am, it is rare for me to think of a finished product as really finished - the old saying 'there is always room for improvement' seems to be my motto. But for you guys who have already commented, you probably don't realize how much that encourages me to kick into gear and put more stuff up. So thanks again peeps - ya'll are great!

(Excerpts to be posted soon) But how I wish I could draw (like all you wise and experienced deviants. lol), but since I can't do so very well, I love ooohing and ahhhing over other people's work. To make up for it, I have a lot of other creative interests - primarily jewelry and clothing design. Getting pics of those in my gallery should be interesting, especially since I don't have any noticeable talent at photography. But I promise to try and hope for the best - keep your fingers crossed. However, it may be forever and a day before I do - aside from being a slow, perfectionistic kind of worker, mine is also a tendency to procrastinate. lol. Anyway, I'm pretty pumped about DevArt and my enthusiasm may inspire me to action. Hope so and can't wait to see all the stuff you guys have done!
