It started pouring the devils black piss at around 10AM. There goes all my plans out the window. Some of my buddies called to cancel their sessions because of the weather, that took care of that. The skies were black, no sunlight in sight and if being cold and dreary wasn't enough, there was so much rain that you cant see past a hundred meters out my window.

I didn't blame anyone who didn't want to be out driving at that moment.

That's when Alex swung by [albeit a few hours later and the rain had slowed to a seasonal shower] with his brand new [pre-owned] jeep Cherokee. we tackled a few off-road trails filled with ankle-deep watering holes, boulders, fallen trees and grassy meadows.

For hours.

As a finale, Alex decided to take me to Split Rock, made it to the deeper, darker part of the woods and took a side trail that emerges out the other side of the darkness and into civilization. I had absolutely no idea where I was the entire time and Goddamn Split Rock road is fucking scary as shit at night.

Returned home 9 hours later with the biggest smile on my face.

Straight to the point, heres a bulletin instead:

- jagerbombs, jameson and some pool at a bar 3 hours before the show. Got really nice.
- My guitarist chris met Mastodon guitarist Bill and shook his hand.
- my buddy sean caught one of the drumsticks thrown at the end of the show.
- sean was also on the mezzanine level, pouring beer on people, starting fights.
- i was responsible for starting the pit [NO LIE] by shoving ppl around and egging ppl on.
- me and chris were the first two to crowd surf.
- chris got his nose cracked, bled for almost an hour. pissed, standing above a sink, missing the show.
- on the subway, sean was later on recognized by some of the ppl who were at the show as "werent you the asshole tossing beer over the balcony?"
- someone dropped and broke a 40 on the path train back to jersey. train car reeked like stale booze the entire ride home.
- show was on night of may 10th. it is now 2:30AM on may 13th. my ears are still ringing.
- 14 bruises and counting, more being discovered everyday.
- a 3 inch long gash on my tricep when someone landed on me while i was trying to get up.

BUT thats ok i just built myself a 2.8duo core processor 4 gig ram and a pretty gnarly graphics card. the best part is that its a shuttle, i will have it all assemled including the brand new windows 7 OS and badaBANG. dual screen gnarliness comes back to life.

expect a shit load of improvements.

[good news]: tattoo will be completed this friday -last session- and the total cost for the chest and the back completed ran me at 1500 buks. would have paid 2500-3000 if i went to a parlor.

[bad news]: im lonely. so lonely. i want a girlfriend but at the same time if im going to the army next year, whats the point?

heres the best part: i asked local parlors how much they were charging for my back and the estimates come to around 2000-2500 dollars, but i found an awesome tattoo artist in lodi who will do my spine for 600 in 2 sessions, and i will be asking her for an estimate on my wings. that alone would mean ive just saved 400-600 bucks on the spine alone!

will post pictures of my half completed back after august 5th! more holiday plans will be made, new job opportunities are knocking on my door, and back to school on the first monday of september...
