I finished uni for the semester and am on break.

In the last week or so of uni my uncle Bernie passed away.

I lost my nana at the end of last semester. It is going to be a quiet christmas this year when I finally get to go visit my family.


Got around to trying out World of Warcraft for the first time and I have to say... goodbye everything because I'm somewhat addicted

It's nice though, very inspirational scenery, monsters and character design.

You should make your family watch it.

children should be told about it, but they probably shouldn't watch it.
because they will go into system shock.

It is so graphic that I cried the entire time I watched it.

This documentary is pretty old, and I'm not sure why it took 6 years for me to find out it exists. I had to find out through a friend.
Funny how animal cruelty related documentaries get pushed under the radar when that cruelty is a basis for the worlds economy.

Watch it all the way through.

You can't stop watching it, it's too important.

The person who told me about this documentary is a meat eater, and so couldn't watch the entire thing.

This happened over the days that Royface and I went camping, I feel that by camping during this time I've taken her memory out of the city, and out of my room, which is good for her, and good for me.

She passed away in QLD, which is the other side of the country from where I am.

My dad gets back to Perth today.




anyway, aside from the obvious awful sadness, the camping trip was lovely.

We went to Lake Cave and Ngilgy Cave, stayed in Wellington national park, Alexandra lake (Shannon national park) and in some crazy man's caravan park outside of the valley of the giants where we were accosted in the night by quokkas.

totally hillarious.

anyway, the valley of the giants tree top walk is awesome too.

It's a shit time, and I'm going to be sad for some time.

So adult gamers over here are completely sick of games being censored to hell or banned completely when its not suitable for a maximum age of 15.

The fact that this rating will further restrict children's access to these games is the best part about having the rating. Game stores would have legal reasons to tell a kid that they can't have a certain game, instead of trying to convince them that it's not really suitable and then being yelled at by said kid.

The games that were supposed to have an R18 rating will get it and restrict children's access to these games even further.

The rating will also encourage Australian gamers to support their local game trading companies because they won't have to buy their uncensored games from overseas.

It will also make it easier for the Australian Game Development companies to make games without having ridiculous limitations looming over their projects.

If you're in Australia and, like me, would really like your games untarnished by the ridiculously outdated rating system.

holy crap. was I alone in laughing openly during my first (and only) viewing?
(no, because steve was right next to me, snorting back laughter)

its so hard not to laugh and holy god, I tried.

Roy was sitting next to me, and I tried hard not to ruin the movie for him, but no, I failed, and you know how it is; trying to hold back laughter makes it ten times worse, so it bursts out louder than if you just laughed normally.

goddamn.

I'm sure it looked awesome story boarded.
and I know... peter parker is pretty emo in the comic,
and yes I know, he's also corny as hell.
and yes, it's a pretty good comic come to life (though translated from storyboard to movie just made the dialogue sound like steamy dog crap).

BUT WHAT THE HELL MAN?!

We get that his libido has been increased, we get it, but half an hour of that?!

and also... holy shit, the opening credit sequence... we had to see the entire first and second films before the third started?
do people now adays honestly have the memories and attention spans of goldfish, is that why we needed that?!?!?

Reasons being!

a) Deferred my Biomedical Science degree and am now doing Game Design at University.
incredibly project heavy, and loving every second of it.

b) Got a Royface that I'm seeing, and due to this boy, I am finding less and less time for drawing, when I'm doing the university thing too!

c) I'm fracking lazy

I'm pretty rusty after damaging my right hand at work.
It's pretty weak now when I hold a drawing implement, and my hand shakes now during any drawing that requires precision and smooth lines.

because of this, I'm pretty sure my drawing confidence has gone to hell.
Hence, my lack of updating!

anyway, I'm going to kick my arse real soon, and get some pictures drawn.

I went to the Dresden Dolls concert on friday night with a few friends.
We dressed up, make up and all.
the night was incredible.

the support bands were awesome also.
there was one fellow with an accordian who made 1000 drunk bastards point their fingers in the air, stare at them, and spin 14 times.

funniest thing I've seen in a long long time.

The Red Paintings were the second support band. They have an awesome sound.

I can't wait till they come back to Perth, or wherever I happen to be when I see them next (as I will without a doubt see this band again).

A. The new HALO movie is making my Draper toad friend vomit blood from every pore and cry in hysteria before finding a rifle to beat Peter Jackson senseless with. (yes, he doesn't want bullets.. he wants the pleasure of beating him with the stock)


B. I have a new Laptop. His name is Dexter. Lapis is in laptop ... hell.


C. Happy sweet 16th to my cousin Binny for yesterday!

I saw them play live last night and GODDD... it was worth waiting 10 years to see them

last time they were touring in this country... I was 10.
no chance my parents would have taken me


they played everything I wanted to hear EXCEPT! It's the End of the world ... as we know ittt...
they did have 17 albums to choose from so they missed it!
but s'ok! they played Losing My Religion.. and that in itself made the entire night

anything else they played was a bonus!


Little Birdie were the first supporting act O__o... I've seen them 3 times now hahaha... twice in the last month or so.. that's sad!
and they played RELAPSE!!
so again.. I was stoked


they had another supporting act... Bright Eyes...

I'm sorry if you like Bright Eyes... but they were a little boring..
they had 2 instrumental intro's that I liked... but the rest?
their lyrics are incredibly random... more so than REM...
it just got a little annoying is all...

gomennnn! don't hate me if you love them!
it's just my opinion... I'm yet to hear their stuff... not... live...
