So Black Friday approaches this week where I'm sure a headline will arise where an employee will get trampled to death in some store in America. Fun.

Not to mention the first and last time I attended this event was last year to get a low cost vacuum cleaner for my dorm room, and come to find a women has stuffed the last five into her shopping cart before I get there.

So yeah, not worth it, I'd rather sleeeeep D:

So let me just say that things have ever so slightly changed since the last time I was not lazy to write an entry.

I've changed my major. This major was not offered at the school I had been attending for the past two years. Furthermore, me being me, I decided to pull this off at the last minute, which meant not really saying a proper farewell to some of the best friends I will ever have, but also uprooting myself for all that I had built, or rather, I thought I was building for two years.

BUT! That being said, I changed my major to animal sciences. My ultimate goal is to spend the rest of my life helping animals in some shape, manner, or form. I just had this, 'enlightenment' you could say that I am not going to be here for all that long, what do I want to be defined by? That is, I want to be defined by my compassion and ability to dedicate my life to a cause in helping another. So having this realization, and that my major at that school would not have fulfilled this, I felt the sudden need for change. It has been, in the beginning, one of the hardest things I have done to/for myself, but now, the goodness is showing through, and I could not really be anymore happier knowing that I have set myself for what I believe is the right path right now. I have developed principals in that I believe I need to do, and I'm gonna do my best to do it!

So, yaaaay! :)

Not to mention there is someone who re-entered my life, and has helped me in ways that I thought would never be possible. To express my gratitude would take up another journal and several hours worth of time!


Oh, Flo-Jo and Teddy, the two kitten I rescued back in May, are HUGE! They also have quite the personalities too! Wherever I will go in life, they will follow!

Long time no type, eh? Well I just finished up my second year of college, and I shall be driving back home tomorrow from Georgia to Mississippi. A 9-hour drive-- with three kittens I rescued :D Teddy, Flo-Jo, and Luthia. Wish me luck on this drive! :P

I also am creating a more ';professional' Deviant account under the user name SelcouthKat. I will start deleting deviations from this account and onto that one over the summer (and uploading recent projects from classes). I will save my NyaKitty account for fan drawings, silly things and whatnot. :)

I returned home just a few days ago here in Mississippi, and am taking summer classes at my local college to get as many basic credits as I can out of the way, but I will continue to keep up with DA as much as I can. Also, sorry to all my DA friends that I basically just fell off of the face of the earth for a while, but as I said, I will attempt and update more. That being said, I do not have internet at my house and have to go to a local cafe to get internet, so my response to things may be up to a day late and most likely more. It's either that or use my dad's laptop which just had a SIM chip in it and sometimes takes several minute to load a page- er, I don't have enough patience for that, haha

I would also want to start some commissions :3 Soon I will be posting some of my art work from my classes, and so you can see what you might like. As I'm sure most of you know also, I do a lot of cats, and that is what I do the fastest and enjoy the most, so just contact me if you are interested.

School starts back Jan. 7th, and I will leave the state probably the 4th or 5th, so that means after that point, I won't be getting on nearly as much, believe me, homework usually takes up the majority of my time.

The next break is in March during the week/weekend of St. Patty's, but it only is one week between these two quarters, and I'll be staying in Savannah, GA and not coming home, so I'll try and squeeze in there what I can.

***Which also means, my deviations AND messages will very much build up again, so when I do respond, ignore the fact that it is months late ^^; ^^; ^^; ***

Then again, I WILL be taking pictures of my classwork. I was going to this previous, but I waited and told myself I will until I get home...then pretty much all my 3-D stuff fell apart from the move. Believe me, hot glue will only last for so long! o_o

I also want to ask any digital artist out there, how long do you usually spend on a piece? You don't understand how bad I want to start digital art, but I get so annoyed with that, that....PEN tool o_o And I've done traditional pretty much the whole time, and I have an upcoming class that is ALL on computers, wish me luck I don't explode off the planet or something at some point.

But I'm ready for Christmas! I have all my cards made and sent, and as far as I know, I have a gift for everyone too! ^^;

And not to mention my bday to follow on the 29th!!! xD Oh god, 19 already? Next time I won't be a teenager any more! -twitch- Haha, but my inner-child is not getting any older, bring on more cartoon-watching, Poke'mon collecting, and being the only one in the family who wanted to go see Bee Movie! >.>

But from my severe delay (haha, if you know me, this is nothing new ^^; ), I have spent the last few hours with catching up with comments, favs, and watches, so all is good now, eh? *thumbs up*

So now that high school is over (thank god...), I've been attempting to balance on many art projects that I've procrasinated literally for years, cleaning out the endless junk in my room (being the pack rat that I am) also for years, now took up a neat job of drawing anatomical figures for my mom's co-worker for a text book he will publish, filling out the final forms for SCAD, and on top preparing myself mentally to finally spread my wings for college and never forget those I love back here in Mississippi <333

So ba-bam, that's the track I'm on now, it's all good, though I will try to keep up best I can :)

Oh, and it's along the story line of the comics, --> NOT!! <-- the video games.

-Name: Lynxia Sphinx Dulce (though always and forever has been known by her middle name, or more platonic "Sphinx the Fox")

-Gender: Female

-Age: 18

-Race: Fox (Furry as they have been called)

-Eyes: Deep teal.

-Hair: Deep crimson red. Short strands in the front, longer into a loose ponytail in the back that curls at tips.

-Pelt: Has more a red tint that the casual orange of a fox, and her ears and tail are dipped in jet black; her chest is white like other foxes also.

-Weapons: Herself, anything in her grabbing range, gadgets she has "misplaced" over the years, and her sharp mouth at times.

-Attire: Fine strapped black shirt that's a tad short when if comes to her stomach. Faded jungle green pants, somewhat baggy, but very worn with a few tears here and there. Yellow sneakers with a magenta strip crossing the tip, and a small red lighting symbol near the sole. Cool gray gloves cut off at tips. Each ear is pierced twice with gold hoops.

-Likes: Traveling, learning things that will be of use, running into old friends, and especially mint ice cream.

-Dislikes: Being restricted, being teased, anyone touching her ears or tail.

-Love interests: None

-Weaknesses: Excruciatingly stubborn. If her buttons are pushed enough, it takes a lot to calm her back down. If irritated enough she will want to fight.

-General Personality: She is honest and independent, devoted to her goals but often incredibly stubborn. She can be very serious at times, but can be relied upon to help out whenever needed. She is smart and is always challenging this, but one person can't know and even the common facts she can come short of due to just her older brother raising her. At first she can seem aloof, but time usually opens her up to the more caring side of her personality.


-Background: Sphinx is the daughter of Nick and Sylvia Dulce, and sister of Gene Ace Dulce (like her is known by his middle name). Nick Dulce was both an intellectual close friend and committed undercover servant to King Acorn when Mobotropolis was still intact and undisturbed by Robotnik's wrath. He often knew information that not many others knew, but he himself was well known by others; calm and laid-back in his attitude. Soon he fell in love with Sylvia, a spunky traveler vixen who was passing through the city at the time. King Acorn granted him more free time from his work when they had their first kit, Gene Ace Dulce, but was still loyal to his work. However, things took a drastic shift when Robotnik and his swat-bot army took over and soon transformed it into Robotropolis, casting out captures for roboticizations and terrorizing all the inhabitants of the once prosperous city. With a still young but capable Ace and again pregnant Sylvia, Nick moved his family away from the arising danger, but knew he would soon have to return to fulfill his duty to King Acorn in a time of need. Soon they settled on depths of the forest on the outskirts of the city, Slyvia in a few weeks having Sphinx, and Nick returning to the city. But Nick never returned, and Sylvia, even though stricken with grief of the assumption that her husband was dead, pulled herself together to raise her two children. But even this was short-lived, as the swat-bots tracked her into the forest, but before they reached their refuge, she demanded Ace to flee as fast and far as he could with Sphinx.

The first memories Sphinx recalls is that she grew up traveling to a variety of cities and country sides, her brother teaching her things from why the sun leaves the sky to how to defend herself in combat. She was often curious about the parents that she never remembered, but didn't push her brother for answers since he rarely even mentioned them. Being an inseparable duo of teamwork to get them through everyday, Sphinx gained friendships in many places, and learned many things both the easy and the hard way from her stubbornness, but that was balanced by her kind intentions. But when she turned 11 years old, her brother revealed some of the truth: that they were really fleeing from Robotnik, and told her of what little knowledge he knew of the takeover many years ago. Anger fueled by resentment by lack of time he told her this, she refused to move from the city they were currently residing in, and insisted that she could fight the enemy off herself. They argued for hours, but then he gave in, and they prepared for the confrontation.
