I've started sumbiting new stuff recently. Only a little, of course, but I'll be starting a portfolio soon.

Why have I been gone so long?

I was finally given the chance to be hired and I work at Starbucks. One of the most busiest ones in Toronto. Can you believe it's the 2nd top grossing one in North America too!

Hours have been insane and hopefully I'll get weekend off soon.

Haha, speak of the devil, I get a call, just now, to come in a bit earlier for work. XD

Winter is going to be HELL with these hours. LMAO!

I couldn't do it without all of my visitors. Sure, it's only a thousand(+), but only back in September I had less than 300.

I want to advise you all of some new art I am working on and that over the next couple of weeks(maybe months), I'll be submitting sketches and then after, paintings.

They will belong to a series of Mythological Creatures. I am working on a simple Centaur at the moment. I am trying out a new style for myself and have a talented artist as my inspiration.

Stephanie Pui-Min Law has some of the most beautiful watercolour art and I adore the way she depicts trees. The little nymphs or creatures living among and apart of the tree is amazing.

Recently, I was hired at Starbucks, in Toronto, and it is still quite hard to get the hang of saying "I have a job.", but I like saying it over and over.

Now, what I am saying this all for, is that I am curious about finally getting the Nikon D70 that I have been interested in for quite some time.

If I did this, it would mean either get more memory for our present computer, or get a laptop that eventually I will need for school in a year.

Laptop!! XP~

Looks like my savings account will come in handy soon!

Hey guys! I've been pretty busy with trying to find places to get a job. What with all the things I want to save up for, I'll need one to survive.

I've been just dying for my own Pentax K1000 to work with Film again. Everyone close to me knows I want my own Digital SLR (maybe a Nikon D70?). I adore books and I'm advidly going to used bookshoppes. Plus my tea, which I cannot go without.

I'm not hard to manage, am I.

With all of this going on I can still find time to feel like total crap. Alot of things are very confusing now and art seems to help. I've gotta alot more aquainted with DA and I joined some groups. I should have some new watercolour paintings, photographs, and maybe even some contests up soon.

Would you guys enter if you won something by me? I am wiling to do art trades, so if you want to please send me a note!

I've been a little sick lately and my bed is giving my horrible headaches. Foot spasms don't help either. Wow, it all just hits at once, doesn't it?

Job front = nothing and I still haven't gone to YES. I will this week, if it's not too bad. I'll have TTC fare, thank goodness!

I await a packet from my friend every morning too, which is fun and frustration at the same time. I think my Mail woman doesn't like our house. No loves. ;__;

Leaves me wishing I could make something so beautiful, but then I realize - each artist has their talent. ~Ruan's one photograph that has made me come close to tears was The Love You Take and makes me wish my father had loved me like that child there.

I'd like to say that I'm seriously stuck on deviant art lately. Photography has taken a new turn in my life, as turmoil takes another.

It's a little odd, that feeling, of one day your living so nice and cosy and the next your *bop* out on the street. Of course, only figuratively speaking.

Housing tribunal comes round tomorrow. We'll find out wether we can live here anymore. My hope is that they let it go and let us stay. Then ZOOM us straight out of Regent Park and somewhere else!

I am back. Back into my art through my photography. I've uploaded a great many images taken with my Fuji FinePix A120. Digital, yes, but I enjoy taking photographs so much!

I am wearing a scarf....IN MY HOUSE. O_O;
Slightly uncomfortable, but it has kept me warm for the last hour and a half inking my recent picture.

With the contest ([link]) slightly on my mind keeping me busy, I've been thinking ...What does insprie me in one word? I could only think of one thing that always gets my creative juice's flowing;

ART.

Artists posting their art, local art, photographs. If I'm in a rut, creatively, I surf Devart looking and commenting. I find new images, new inspirations, and new friends.

I think I'm very happy just now. I posted a progress picture (scraps) of my current project. The left hand(is on the right in the pic) looks weird and I shall be re-doing that x_x.

I was astounded that the other hand looks very much better than any other picture I've drawn in my life. I has almost tearfully happy yesterday night! (I was up until about 12am drawing this...and started around 7:30-8pm..?)

This should give me something to do all week. Giving a large sorry to all my MSN IM buddies. If I don't chat much, ask me how the picture is going xD!
I could cap and show you!

I want to enter the Inspirations contest. It's actually inspired me to draw better and learn more! (you can find out about if you go to the dev front page and click on the inspirations submissions!)

I don't care if I have a chance or not. I have the ability to enter and at least try.

I've also been thinking about getting a dev account, maybe 6 months. I really want to work harder on my digital work.

If you look at my recent favs there is an artist noah-kh. OH FOR THE LOVE OF OREO COOKIES, look at the artwork. I drooled. I really did. :sweadrop:

I'm going to spiff up somethings. I really want a subscription here now. I'm not deadly sure on what to do in work, but I've always love to draw. I need to work on my anatomy with drawing... ;/

Does anyone have any tips? I'd like to draw more realistically. Local library should be a good place to start.

I know I'm a good artist, but I'm seriously lacking in my talent for "realism". Before I used to be all Landscape art. I taught myself to draw anime-ish characters by looking at images of Sailor Moon and drawing her and the scouts. From there I took my own style.

Now I look at people's art and it makes me want to try more. I'd really love to draw portraits of people. I'm really good at that. If you have the patience to set there with me, I'd draw you in a second. I *DO* need to get new pencils desperately. Art, writing and literature keep me sane.

I know I don't update on here much, but I'll be whoring alot more on Devart in the times to come
