Meh, doesn't it seem like Christmas is coming UBER fast this year? It's ridiculous! First week of November, they were already playing carols on the radio. Don't get me wrong, I love the whole christmas thing, it's just SUCH a big deal every year. I almost wish it was quieter...

After a deviant I watch posted a rather harsh image about sparkledogs, and a definition that I'm sure she came up with, I'm really truly starting to doubt my new comic. I had been at first, and sometimes I would lay down my pencil and say "This is stupid, this story is terrible. No one will like it." But this picture certainly did not help my feelings about the story. Now I'm seriously beginning to doubt the comic, I'm considering canceling it. I'm thinking things over, and according to the image/definition, the plotline would be terribly unoriginal and 'sparkle-esk'. I've tried adding bits here and there, and taking out some things as well, but I really can't see the point anymore. It's really unoriginal, I guess, and I'd really rather not re-write the whole thing again. It took me months to get things set up the way I wanted, and this picture comes along and WHAM.

*sigh* I dunno, guys... I don't want to start a story that I'm only half willing to do. It'll just end badly.
I want to do the comic! I do! It's just that I want this to be really good and really popular, but after thinking things over, it's a pretty dumb story.

But, luckily, I've caught up to the present, and everything I've done while I was in limbo has been posted.

Thirdly, I would like to inform you all that the final page of the Pokism Comic is in the process of being colored, and the first few pages of my new comic are being traditionally sketched right now! The title and basic plot will be revealed soon~! .3.

Somehow my settings for the paintbucket tool got really messed up, and it doesn't fill cleanly or all the way to the edges anymore. Does anyone know how to adjust the paintbucket settings/know someone who can help? I would really appreciate any advice!

We got our new computer today!!

It's the new Mac, something ridiculous like a 22" screen or something, but its MASSIVE. We're transferring all of our files right now, but I'm typing this from the laptop still. But really soon, I should be back to normal about art!

We lost our second playoff game in soccer today. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good, because now I can get my regular life back in gear, and I'll actually have time for homework and art~ Bad, because we were doing so well, and we really wanted to win... but we got murdered, 5-0 lol.

Formalities aside? I'm freaking in love with this kid that I knew from my grade school. I know, too young for love blah blah. I thought i knew what it felt like but I obviously don't because I said yes, and I'm not single anymore.
I wanted to hold out until I hit highschool to get involved with guys. I wanted to meet new people, and get a grip of the freshman life. Turns out I'm a fucking, love-struck wimp who can't do anything for herself. So, somehow, school hasn't even started yet and I know I've already messed this year up.
This kid I'm dating? Crazy-passionate since the first time I met him. We've tried going out before, but something would always stop me and I'd always find a reason to break up. This time, I just couldn't say no. So far, its been okay, but it's only day four.
I can't break up with him. Part of me is kicking my head in because I KNOW I shouldn't be with him now, and the other part keeps saying that it's going to work out.

Today, we had four fake games (scrimmages), and we did well as a team. But when it was my turn to play, I messed up so bad. Everyone kept telling me what to do, it was all different. And I just thought: "This better not go on all season"
But my mind is telling me that it will.

Kinda both, although I'm more of a traditional person. Digital crap takes too long...

A circle for the size of the head, then I branch out to the muzzle and down the neck and over the chest and through the woods and so on!

I make faces when I draw. To get the expressions right..........

Any tips for coloring/shading?
Finger-smudging is NOT cheating.

How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Traditional? If I work non-stop, I can get a full-colored, full-sized piece done in two and a half hours.
Digital? MUCH LONGER.

What music do you listen to while you draw?
Anything, which reminds me that I need some new stuff....

How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Not very long, but it sometimes can take me months to get it on paper.

Your favorite drawing utensils?
Mechanical pencil, watercolor pencils. Photoshop and Bamboo tablet.

Fav color is blue, any shade. I think I use it waaaayyyyy too much.

HOMIGOD, GUYS! So many amazingly awesome things happened to me today~!

So first, the fam and I went to the aviary, I got some cool pics that I'll put up later. We had to park kinda far away because it was crowded today. Luckily, I didn't get crapped on. xD

When we were walking back to our car, a big ol advertisement van with a plasma screen on the side of it was parked beside us. It was a van for Kalahari Resorts, y'know? World's largest waterparks? Large as three and a half football fields? Yeah, them.

My dad was like, 'OH HAY ITS THAT WATERPARK PLACE.

' And the lady who was running the joint cut us off and laughed. "Would you like some free tickets to that waterpark place?" So the lady who was promoting the place asked for our picture, and we happily obliged. We got five free tickets, and we're using them TOMORROW~!!! It's about a 2 and a half hour drive, so you IRL friends, keep me company. T^T

Then we went shopping. And I got yan-yan and pocky. >D

So~! This means I'm not gonna be back for a while, because then we have the Fourth and such. So i'll check in on Sunday.

Design an experimental elemental canine! DUH-DUH!

Now, this doesn't mean a canine that controls fire or water or whatever. It means one that has a Periodic Table elemental design. Like Radon and Neon. ^^ *pokes* [link] and [link]

I really want you guys to have fun with this, so make the designs as interesting as possible~

REQUIREMENTS/RULES

1. The character can be male or female, whichever you think would be more fitting. It does not have to be a wolf, it can be other types of canines

2. The character MUST be based off ONE element from the Periodic Table. [link] There's a big one to get you started.

Research the elements on Google to find out what they're capable of. ;]

3. Up to three entries per person, each entry based on a different element. :3

4. Base your character's personality on the characteristics of the element you've chosen. Say, you picked hydrogen, and that's really flammable, and dangerous under pressure. So give the character a short-temper that is easily angered. Dig?

5. They can be accessorized with pretty much anything. Big bulky collars and bracelets are always cool. Wristbands, tail-wraps, pierced brows, go crazy.

6. The markings can also differ from what Radon's or Neon's look like. Swirls or blocky large chunks, stripes, blotches, rings... get creative. Colors should be bright, because remember, they glow in the dark.

Their base coats should ONLY be white or black! The scientists only accepted these two colors so that they could see the full reaction of the element on the experimentee

7. Note me your entry, I'll be able to find it easier that way.

8. You will be judged on creativity and design significance, not talent! All entries are welcome

9.

You may enter traditional or digital pieces, but descriptions and short-stories are also welcome!

10. Advertise this contest, please! The more the merrier, right? ^^

11. DEADLINE IS AUGUST 6!!! Thats a little over a month, so get cracking~

K, well, the new Transformers movie was pretty good. The effects were gorgeous, the acting was really great, and of course, the animation on the mecha-men was fantastic. There was with one panther Decepticon that was moving like water, it was beautifully animated. I want one. I might design one ( or have you design one, hohoho ) as a character because it was BAD. ASS.

There was a lot LOT of unnecessary sexual stuff in it, like ( as the title reads ) the one giant Decepticon had wrecking balls for testicles... Also, there was also like 10 things going on at once. They'd tell you where the key to the tomb is four times, and while the group was looking for it we were all like, " Wait, where's this key?" and when they found it we were all "What's it do again?" Just lots of confusing loopholes and plotlines. I'm not gonna say how, but it was also a relatively racist movie... Â¬Â¬

ANYWAY! I've been drawing A LOT recently, and I've got tons of photos from the zoo that need uploading, so I'm warning you guys, there's going to be a lot from me. There's mostly photographs, a lot of traditional sketches, and a few digital pieces, plus the wrap-up of the comic, Book 2. Then I can get on to Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza.... *mumbles*

So that was your warning. I'm thinking I might upload some of the traditional stuff in a big ol' dump, so keep a wether eye on the horizon.

First of all, mah good friend

3) NO IDEA STEALING! If I find out you took an idea from someone your

Good news first!
ITS FINALLY SUMMER! Hooray for slacking off! My family plans to go the Hawaii for vacation, and I promise to take lots of pictures. I'll put up another journal before I leave, but it's a while off yet.
Also, on Friday this week, a very fun pokemon website I belong to is having a summer bash! I bet you guys already saw the previous journal about it, but our tournament is really lacking in entrants. It'd be great to have you join us!
Also also, I went to Kennywood yesterday! It's a very fun amusement park up here in Pennsylvaina, it was a lot of fun to go with my friends. And you know Sam? My ex? Apparently, my little brother Ryan got him in the face with a water canon. I wish I had seen that. XXDDD

is growing up and moving off to college pretty soon! Yay for her!

I'm so excited for summer, but at the same time, it's sad that i'm leaving my grade school. I've known these kids for ten years ( counting preschool and kindergarten) I'm gonna miss them. Alas, i'm SO ready for high school and even more so for summer~

SO! The real point of this journal is advertise Elitie League's Summer Bash on June 12, with the main events starting at 12:00 PM (noon) EST. We're going to have contests, prizes, cookies, art, a pokemon diamond and pearl tournament, and FUN! Even if you're not into Pokemon, we'd love to have you stop in. I'd appreciate it.

Wow, WHAT a weekend! Tekkoshocon took Pittsburgh by storm this year as we took over the David Lawrence Convention Center downtown~ Raise your hand if you were there! <333

So when I first got there, Saturday, 'round noon, THERE WERE COSPLAYERS EVERYWHERE! In enormous groups, we would glide over crosswalks and normal people would be like : Â¬^Â¬ ...retards. But who cares!
So we got checked into our room and I was then turned loose and met up with some friends. We hit artist alley, and I got a commish... that I'm not really all that happy with... she kinda put Radon and Neon to shame....oh well. There were a lot of cool crafts and a lot of people were selling full costumes~

After we got settled, I went to a comic-making panel that was a real good time. You had to fill in the blank speech bubbles on a comic page. Immediately afterward, there was a Pokemon Battle Revelution Tournament. I entered, of course, but lost horribly.... I'll leave it at that. xD

Anywho, later on, we hit the Masquerades, which were pretty much fashion shows of amazing costumes and little skits other people put together. They were decent, they're never really that great. 'Cept for Cid.... XD
Afterward, I picked up my commish and I had to leave to get to a musical I was starring in! D: FOUR HOURS TAKEN FROM MY TEKKO TIME....
But I got back. And got changed out of my 'Veronica' costume from the play and got into my RAVING CLOTHES!

FrEEzEpOp came to play, and they were alright, but the Rave was afterward...

and ohmigod....

that was insane.

Has anyone here ever been to a hardcore dance? Like, speakers as big as SmartCars blasting techno music for 4 hours, glow sticks, crazy clothes, the floor rumbling like a stampede of elephants, gay guys, lesbians, and one screwy DJ?

YEAH, THEY HAD IT ALL.

So we're all jumping up and down like madmen, screaming and clapping and singing. I'm joining in, and getting in the mood, it was really, really great. There was this couple next to our little clique who kept making out in rhythm to the song. I didn't know that was possible, but I was impressed.

But here's the best/strangest/hottest/intense part of this whole thing for me.
So I'm boogiing. Hands are in the air and I'm jumping up and down. I lost track of Kayla, but I don't care, i'll find her later.
There's this kid.... Looked 16-17...blonde... idk..... I see him next to me and i'm like 'WOW finally~! A good-looking one!'
So we're breaking down together for a bit, and the song slows on us and I stepped on his foot.
'Heh, whoops. Sorry..' I said.
'-Salright, it slowed down on us...' He didn't look away.
And some funky remix of Barracuda by heart came on and I start air-guitaring.
'Oh yeah, Barracuda~!' says the kid with this face like, 'I'm going to rape you.'
I kinda got flustered, but kept dancing, until he started snaking up on me.
You guys know what I mean? He did that weird, snakey thing with his head while wearing a mega-seductive face on. He reached out and grabbed my shoulders and we're swaying back and forth, my eyes were burning into his, and to be honest, I was scared. He lunges at me with a grin, and I take a step back, forcing his hands off. I retreated into a protective circle of Kayla's friends, and eventually, he went away after realizing he wasn't getting to me.
I was like, "CHELS, HEALP." at the top of my lungs. She understood and they let me jam in the middle for a bit. I stray off again, thinking it was safe.

HO NO, HE'S BACK.

Shooting right up next to me again. I was really uncomfortable and worried, until Chelsea jumped in between us. I thanked her silently and kept going. I didn't see him again after that, thank God. I was twitchey until we got back to the hotel room.

Sunday, today, was uneventful. I got some prints and bookmarks and such, and two bottles of Bawls ( MEGA CAFFINE ALERT!). It really was epic, I'm so glad I went.

But that damn blonde kid... I mean, DO I LOOK LIKE IM YOUR AGE? ( you guys wouldn't know... haha But I am 14, and he musta been at least 17 ) YOU DONT COME UP TO PEOPLE YOU DONT KNOW AND GRIND UNTIL YOU GET HORNY. NO. SHUTDOWN. I WENT THERE.

I'm beginning to notice that things are changing all around me. It must be the difficult stage in a person's life that every being must venture through, at one point or another. It seems so unreal, too unreal to process at points, but every time I pinch myself to wake up, I never do.

I'm not sleeping. This is real.

My future impends upon decisions that I must make very soon. Friends fall out from beneath me, like trap doors, and then I'm caged. Other situations involve lives of those dear to me collapsing due to what others have done to them. It's all so fragile, and I'm started to understand that every choice everyone makes effects something in their lives, be it good or bad.

Choices should not be so hard to make. But we complicate them.

I just heard a story about a friend of mine who was faced with a challenge. Though no names will be mentioned, I feel particularly deeply for this person and their significant other. People their age shouldn't have to deal with that kind of choice, but they forced each other.
And facts are facts. She loves him, he loves her.

If we didn't have to go through levels in our lives like this, life would not be worth living for. It is through these journeys that we grow stronger. Hard to believe, but true.

I just wish I understood more.

Secondly, I'd like to attempt and start a new trend here on DA (hahaha,riiiight).

I was deeply inspired by the WishWall at my local art museum. A Wish Wall is where people roll up their one wish on a tiny piece of paper and stick it in a hole in a wall. (the hole is there for that purpose, sometimes millions of holes can be in a wall at one time) The museum staff takes the wishes out of the walls and prints them onto colorful ribbons, like this: [link]

People are then allowed to take the wishes. You are supposed to tie them in three knots around your wrist, but i've seen them around belts, jeans, necks, hair, etc. Once the third knot falls out, the wish comes true.
(Type butternuts if you read that all. xD)

SO! Here's what I'm doing. I'm going to put up ten wishes in this journal for any of you to take. If you take a wish, you must post the wish in your signature, and put up a journal like this, with a different ten wishes up for grabs that you created. The wishes that you make can be just about anything, from thunderstorms to tires. Just as long as they're respectful, not like "I wish I could have sex every day" or something.

Spread the wishing. With enough of these on DA, they all just might come true.

On a different note, I force-fed my playstation the old Spyro games, just for fun, yeah?

THEY WORKED.

I squealed so loud my parents thought I saw a rat or something

So I played through the entire first game, it took 7 hours ( NO LIFE, xD ). But it was soo worth it, that game is amazing.

And then I tried Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and it worked too. Had another spaz attack when I realized we still had memory for this one. I'm so excited about playing it tonight.

But yeah....

CHANGING THE SUBJECT COMPLETELY~

How about this idea....
Because every single one of you rock, I was thinking about sending you all personalized snail-mail Holiday cards! I would need your addresses and such, so I don't know how cool you guys are with giving it to me. Of course, I would NEVER do andything to anyone of you, and truthfully, I'll prolly forget your address as soon as I send the card, lul.
I don't know if I can send things to countries besides the US, however. I'll have to talk it over with the 'rents.

Who the hell feels the need to change Hunter's design every freakin' game? I mean, HELLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO? I didn't even know him when I saw the second picture. My eyes got enormous and i said, "Wow, he's hot for a cheetah" AND THEN REALIZED IT WAS HUNTER FROM THE SPYRO GAMES.

*slams head into granite counntertop*

This, of course, was BEFORE I looked deeper into the game, onto wikipedia for more info. I've heard about this Cynder chick being Spyro's "COMPAINION"

I read in the article, that: "After being defeated... she [Cynder] becomes Spyro's companion. It is revealed that Cynder is in love with Spyro as she said it herself in the end of dawn of the dragon"

AND I SHIT A BRICK.
And I made this face:

YEAH, COMPANION MY ASS.

Being the dangerously curious person I am, I just HAD to go onto youtube and watch the final clip for this game.

So I did, and had a few comments that I fought to keep to myself about 17 seconds into it.
1) I hate Spyro's new design
2) I ABSOLUTELY HATE CYNDER'S VOICE
3) And the evil dude looks way too much like a good character

But anyway.

The world was falling apart or something after Cynder and Sypro defeated the bad dude, there was the following conversation.

Spyro:Cynder, joo got 2 getz out of herez. I kno what I has to dooo.
Cynder: "Oh, Spyro! Can't we just leave? -I'm too pretty to save the world, oh tee-hee-hee-.
Spyro: Where can we run? THE WORLD IS FREAKING FALLING APART, BIOTCH.
Cynder: Oh, right. Well, then I'm staying with you.
Spyro: Argh, fine. *explodes into balls of light as camera zooms out to overview of crumbling earthzz*
Cynder: I love you....

So I might have exaggerated a bit. >< Whatever, that's basically it.

That was pretty badly placed. I mean, it could've been worse, and it was sorta cute ( but not really ), but the world was freaking falling to bits, couldn't you have told him just a TAD sooner?!

I hated the clip.

But somehow, I'm still really curious about the game.

I'm slowly recovering, and i'll be okay, but it was so sudden... We almost lasted a whole year, which I think is pretty good for a junior-high couple.

Hey everyone! An update heading your way!

First off, Thanks to everyone who responds to my work either by viewing, favorite-ing, or commenting! It really is appreciated!

Second off, a new watcher of mine, ~HellsinkiVampire is hosting free photography commissions. He's really nice, and his skills are pretty superspecialawesome. I'm getting photos commissioned, and as soon as they're ready, I'll send word!
His work is great, so go give him some love~!

Third off, I got another new game, Okami, for the Wii. And it RAWKS. It's better than the previously stated trauma Center games. It combines three of my most favorite things:
Wolves,
Nature,
Art
So it's really cool.

And finally, I'm sure everyone here has heard Coldplay's new hit song, 'Viva la Vida', correct? Has anyone actually dug through the rest of this album? A lot of the other songs are really great as well! I've particularly fallen in love with 'Life in Technicolor'. It's AMAZING.

On a side note, has anyone ever played a Trauma Center game for Wii? And are you as addicted as I am? xD They are quite fun, and I recommend them to anyone with a Wii/DS. They are very fun.

This summer is going to be full of fun activities on my account including comic updates, quizzes, free art, trades, and TWO contests with prizes! Plus much more summer fun! Make sure you stick around!

I've got plenty of comic pages on the way, with a new and improved art style. So yay, hopefully, I'll get feedback and such.

OMG, I can't take this anymore. I just want to be out of that building!

This summer is going to rock, and to start it all off, a day at Kennywood with Sam!!

So yay.

Wrote out the rest of the comic, and man I thought up a twist. Once summer hits officially, I'll start up again.

Developed a bit of an improved style, etc. So my art has slowly gotten better.

Not much has been going on lately, although, no thanks to my eighth grade friend, (Damn you, Darrin) i'm scared to go anywhere without Scout of Kayla at my side.

SHITFUCKDAMN, THE MIST IS THE SCARIEST STUFF I'VE EVER FREAKING SEEN.

Ohmigod, i'm serious. All of it is on YouTube, but if you have a weak constitution, please do not watch it. I'm dead serious. It's as scary as hell.

Comic status is crap, i'm writing out the rest of it now with the little free time i've got.

Oh, and school's almost out. 13 days! But, somehow, i've still got homework. Wtf?
