I'm starting my second to last quarter at school (I think lol) So I have a lot of work that needs to get done this quarter. Senior Proj 2, setting up the budget for my both, working on my logo and "branding" myself as an artist. I'm not so good at that, but I have to start working on that now. I'm also hunting for jobs or internships.

And now I'm starting to plan for my next big travel adventure which will be Japan but on my own this time. I think I should be able to make enough between now and Christmas, and I can get a ticket for around 800 after Christmas day. This'll take a bit more work than the UK, but I don't have to worry about accommodations in Japan, so that's a relief.

I haven't enjoyed a movie like this since I watched Star Trek in the plane to the UK.
So its been a decent month of movies for me.
Anyone got any suggestions for other good movies to see?
Oh, I watched Land of the Lost on the plane too, so disappointed.
Ice Age 3 was funny though.
And I also watched a Japanese film called April Bride ä½å½1ã¶æã®è±å«.
I cried.

Havne't gotten out to a movie theatre recently though which kinda sucks because I really want to see Inglorious Bastards. Love WWII films.
I did watch a movie tonight though. The Great Happiness Space. About a host club in Osaka. Kinda-semi-depressing. Really makes you stare the human psyche in the face and wonder what the hell is wrong with us LOL. I'll probably watch it again when I have ice cream or something to enjoy it with.

I can finally announce my big, first trip to the other side of the Atlantic! I wasn't sure if I would make, but sure enough, somehow, I did.
I will be in the UK for about.. 10 or 11 days (can't remember, i'm sleepy) and I'm really looking forward to it. Photos will be uploaded on my LJ and fotologue. Fer shure.

And finally, I get to go fail my final review for school.

But seriously, I doubt I will pass ._. But that means I know what I need to fix when I return to the thunder dome next quarter. Wish me luck anyway lol

Also, that thursday before Otakon, I was lucky enough to score some free tix to the VAMPS show which, I have to admit, was pretty awesome. HYDE and K.A.Z. have good stage presence. I wish I hadn't been so crowded though, and that they hadn't canceled the backstage meet. I was really looking forward to that

Bad Otakon (since they were supposedly the ones running it).

Hopefully I'll make it to some other awesome lives this summer. The Horros in Sept and the Noisettes in Aug (I think). I should probably check the dates before then lol

But what sucks the most is knowing you have a project due, knowing how to you want it to look, but not knowing how to ..start..? Or just having trouble drawing it. I feel so stuck right now, and I have less than a week to work it out. Its irritating more than anything else, since I know what I need to do, I just can't do it. I hope I figure it out this weekend, or else I might be in trouble Lol

So this is the last quarter I'll be doing a full 16-cr course load. After this, I'm dropping to 8 credits a quarter until I finish (which i'm projecting at Winter 2010). It sounds like its far away, but when I think of alllll the work I have between now and then, I really wish I had more time. I still haven't picked a focus for my portfolio, let alone decided on my senior project for my senior classes. So I might be a little worried about that.

I really think its the gloomy weather that's bringing me down though. And the fact that I'm stuck in my house most of the time. I think its time I got out more. Lol

ALSO, I moved to a more permanent location. No longer in school housing, which is a HUGE relief. Got my alcohol sittin' right on the bartop. And I got a balcony connected my room, as well as a futon bed. Absolutely badass. My roommates, some cool kids that used to go to my school, are awesome peoples, and I think we'll be havin some good times from here on. Did I mention there's a theatre down the street? They have gel seats..! No ass-numbing for meeee~

Gotta get some more shelves for my crap, which is mostly books, sketchebooks, and notebooks. I'll be heading to IKEA for serious shopping eventually.

Thats all for now. I dunno if I'll update before my trip, I'll try to but there's no net at my place yet. Any new work will be up on my portfolio site first though. I think it might also have stuff thats not on DA yet too.

BUT ...today... i tried to erase the content and re-sync it... and it got stuck at the syncing window on the zune O_o.. its so weird. anyway, i can't reset it or anything, it just stuck there. I'm hoping the battery dies soon so that it has to reset itself, and MAYBE it'll work again. But.. I think its time to think investing in a new one. probably the 120Gig one so then i don't have to trim down my collection

waaaaaaaaay too much slow motion.. and the point of that oracle scene? ._. and lets not mention the sex scene taken from a jenna jameson porno..
BUT.. it was very pretty. lovely sweeping mountain vistas and shit. i loved the part when the little boats were tossed on the water, the water looked really nice. but... overall, the movie was just okay..
and one thing i really don't understand.. is that when people say the movie wasn't so good.. or that the plot was pretty flat, people who like the film say "what do you expect?? its an action film!!" which is.. probably the worst defense of a movie.. when you go to see a movie, you expect a good story generally, right? *points to Ultraviolet* lovely film ne? Story?? ...I really don't know where it went...
So as of now... I'm thinking.. 300 and Ultraviolet are on the same level.. opposite ends of the spectrum, but the same spectrum nonetheless lol

anyway, i guess you could say that lately i've been in something like a art slump in regards to submitting things to DA. mostly, i don't feel like there's anything worth scanning to put in... yea, thats mostly it LoL but i'm improving. i've been doing a lot more life drawing lately, ever since I cruised around on ConceptArt.org (which is a fantastic place, you should ch-ch-check it out~) and saw some of the crazy shit they pull out with. and i love the sigs i read on there; they're always saying "WHY'RE YOU READING THIS!? GO DRAW!!" And you know what?

They're right. They're so right lol I need to be filling up sketchbooks like the world is ending in a fortnight or some shit. Either way, it's for the better. I probably won't post any of it here, but I should been putting something nice up soon? Hopefully? One can only hope.

I move in this weekend! Yay! I don't know who my roomates are yet... I'm kinda scared..
But I'm ready to start school.
Public Speaking and Drawing are gonna be my classes until... Oct. Wee! SOoo i wanna get a job since I'll be down the street from the mall.
