I haven't yet had enough time to organise my post uni life, but it is slowly taking shape. I'm working as a fulltime freelance artist, while at the same time working hard on the production of an indie game. The team I'm working in is fantastic and I feel optimistic and inspired. Motivation is high, and so is the enjoyment level. I forgot what it's like to enjoy what I do.

As you've all noticed, unless you've tried really hard not to, deviantart has introduced the option to change your username every 6 months. I have already received 30 or so messages in my inbox telling me that people I watch have changed their names. To my surprise, most of them so far have been high profile artists. I would have guessed that if you have a big fan base you would want to keep your original name for the sake of being easily recognised and easily found. I'm still considering changing my name. Totally sorry for being an inactive bum the last few weeks... or months (totally lost track of time). I haven't died, promise! I'm just caught up in my final few weeks (or months...?!) of university. Wish me luck! I'm hoping to become more active again as soon as I pop out on the other side of the educational system.

Uni has been crazy busy the last few weeks, but I'm finally starting to find time to breath a little. I'm still in the middle of my final months, but at least things are looking stable. I'm working on my final year animation and I'm really enjoying seeing it moving forward. I wish I could show you some of it, but I think I'd rather wait until it's finished :)

Apart from that very interesting bit of information; Things are speeding up in life. I'm working on three university projects simultaniously, as well as trying to keep up with my personal painting. Third and final uni year started just a week ago. It's exciting for me as it's been very enjoyable so far, and my stress level has been under control! Woop! I'm working on a 4 page comic right now for uni. I want to colour it digitally, but I want it to look like watercolours. I quickly realized that my CS4 that I love more than love doesn't support painty... brushes. And all the watercolour brushes I found online were really bad. I little bird told me that his cousin CS5 does have some watercolour brushes that work. So my next big adventure is to throw myself into the newest Photoshop version and play around.

I know I haven't been submitting much work the last few weeks. I've been up to quite a lot and I guess it's kept me busy.

Last week I had a fantastic opportunity to visit one of London's leading VFX companies. I got to watch them work on big films that are just months from being released, and I got to try out what they did. I did this for a whole week, and it was quite intense. Last night I had a wonderful time watching the Lion King musical in lyceum theatre, London. I very much recommend it to all of you. Not only since it's very good and entertaining (and if you used to watch it a lot - this is nostalgia galore!), but also since the costume designs are magnificent. It was so amazing I couldn't believe my eyes at times. Just got back from the cinema. I'm a big fan of Nolan's latest works, and I'll have to add Inception to the list of wonders. Straight after watching the film I felt a bit disorientated a bit cheated on and slightly confused, and I will most certainly have to watch it a second time to fully appreciate it. So I've had a couple of weeks to play around with the new Intuos4 (A4) now. I have some difficulties figuring out how to best use the expresskeys and touch ring. Still haven't found a winning formula, but it's fun playing around with. I still need more time to play around with the cool stuff. I really never payed much attention to pressure sensitivity and various tilt sensitivities on my last intuos, so this is a new world to me.

I love the expresskeys and I bet I'll be able to work even faster when I figure out the best way to use them. The design, of course, is just wonderful. It looks so good it makes me feel ugly. Ah~

I'm thinking of getting myself a new tablet. This is painful, since I looove my tablet, and also because it's difficult to know what kind of tablet to get. And because it's pricey of course D: So I'm turning to you all for advice.

I'm currently using a Wacom Intuos A4. Yes it's old, but I haven't had any real reasons to update (also... I got it for free. And free is always good?). I went from a Graphite A6 to this one. And yes, I will keep to Wacom.

I've been drooling over the Intuos4 A4 since it came, but after asking myself "Do I need it?" I'm not sure. How big is the difference between the latest intuos models? And happy holidays :D

2009 is closing in and I have no real plans for what to do that year. I'm gonna find myself a job and spend loads of time and love on my friends and on art :)

I'm rather curious on what you guys think about my art. I'm thinking of starting taking comissions. Money is good motivation :) But that depends on if there are people interested in comishing me. I'd draw the things that you can find in my gallery, mostly. But new, challenging things can be ]]>
