I'm back to good ol' BYU! Winter semester is gonna be pretty crazy, 6 classes, but only 12.5 credits.

I'm gonna have to work my tail off, because I'm not used to the work load I'm going to have with two CS classes... hopefully I won't flake like I usually do.

100 Themes Challenge

The point of this challenge is to test and improve your skill as an artist. After 100 pics who wouldn’t be better.

I was going to wait to update this until I had some art to show ya, but since my tablet (the old-but-new-to-me one! ) died, I figured I'd try to look relatively alive here on DA

So, yeah, a little bit harder bunch of classes, but I think all of them are doable. Not much else to say except I wish it was the end of April, or maybe the end of August... so much to do between now and then! Applying for Animation, raising money for Ukraine, working my butt off for tuition and getting out of debt, , , , blah! If only I had a clone to do it all for me
Oh, and one more thing:

-> On a more somber note: The death of Gordon B. Hinkley hit me hard last night. I had no idea he wasn't his normal superhumanly-energetic self until I heard the news about 8:15 last night. I'm so glad he went peacefully... I would be happy to live to the ripe old age of 97.
He was the leader of our church for as long as I can remember, so I know it'll be difficult to see another in his place. I pray for his family and friends, and I pray for those who might not transition well to a new leader.

School is fun in a crazy way. I've only got 4 classes to worry about, and all of them are enjoyable so far. In case you're curious (and I guess, even if you're not...) here's the list!:

People keep asking me why I'm taking Russian, as I have no ancestry there or anything. I guess it was partly because two of my uncles have been there for an extended period of time or go there often, so I can at least practice with them... there's also an idea floating around in my head that I might go on a Language Program to Russia to teach children there English. All that, and it just felt right.
Anyways, the other ones are required and/or fun.

Yeah, so I'm feeling better now -- school's okay, and even fun at times. 1. I went to New York City by train with my father Monday the 13th . I stayed the 14th & left the 15th. It was really fun, despite the big medical device convention that took up a bunch of the 14th. We walked down to Times Square right after we got to our hotel; that wasn't quite as exciting as I had expected it to be, but it was neat to see anyway (it was about 11 PM or so when the train got in, FYI). I didn't get many pictures at all, unfortunately, but I may post a couple that I did get.
The next morning, we had breakfast at "The Grand Hyatt" hotel (after or before we went in to see Grand Central Station? hmmm . . . don't remember! ), which was where my father had stayed last time he was on a business trip to NYC; it was verry good (salmon in my omlette! YUM!. I couldn't finish it , it was so large!). I was a little nervous, though, because I thought I saw some Security guy following us, and I thought it might not be okay that we were just walking in to a hotel to eat, and my father has a tendency to do crazy/not exactly normal things, but it all turned out grreat (verry yummy, as I said!). Nothing way exciting at the convention, though there were some WAY cool robotic arm-things and 3D printers. After the convention-thing we got some discount tickets to a Broadway show and then got a "Jamba Juice" (cranberryful yumminess!!!) while trying to find the entrance to the Olive Garden restaurant. It happened to be on the second floor, which was kinda neat, though we didn't get to be right next to a window. More salmon for me, and in lemon sauce no less (*melts with the yumminess*). I thought it was kinda odd/amusing that there was an escalator going up into the restaurant, but there was a long set of stairs exiting it (my father said it was because they liked us better when we were coming in than when we were going out ).
We checked out Central Park and walked more of it than we had planned while trying to find a place to hail a taxi-cab. Then we went to our hotel for half an hour and took a cab to the Broadway show. Since all the well-known/"really good" shows were sold out, we saw "On Golden Pond," which was really good in itself; we got there half an hour late, however, which kinda stunk (my father read the ticket incorrectly).
We took a train to Poughkeepsie (spelling?) to get to the place where we were supposed to meet someone who wanted my father as moral support at a family court case. We found a taxi-minivan but the drive from Poughkeepsie to Goshen is VERY long (at least an hour and a half!), so the fare was about $60! We didn't even get to the court-house in time to make it to the case. My father drove for the 4-hour trip back to our house in a different minivan; I was stuck in the back where it was quite warm and unexciting.
Wow, that was long, now onto other things.
2. Commissions! : I am tight with money and I killed myself with my "nanny"-ish job because I named a per-hour rate that is going to be way too low. Therefore, I would really like to do some commissions/sell some art this summer. I have some art here on DeviantArt, but I don't feel that I have any selling-level stuff displayed here. I have the ability, but I need some good inspiration/motivation to get me going. Please, reply here or on my LiveJournal ( ) as to whether you want a commission done for yourself, think I should or shouldn't do commissions, or would be interested in purchasing a piece of my art. Thank you!!!

P.S. I am sorry to say that I will not be available again until Saturday. I'll be having fun going camping, but I won't be anywhere near a computer for the rest of the week! Well, here's my problem: when I was on earlier today, I saw "999" as my page views, I thought, Cool! Almost to 1000! However, when I returned tonight, I saw "1001," which is cool too, but there was only one other person in "recent viewers" since I checked earlier. So, for fairness' sake, I think I'll have to do something for the "999"th viewer ( )(Who I'm currently working on a pic for ) and , who is the next person listed as viewing my page.

The weirdest part about that, though, is that half of my tougue was also numb, so I couldn't taste anything on that side of my mouth!

Also, My B-day is on the 19th. I'll be 16! wow...
